Introduction
Travelling through the dark forest and Fabelland wont be easy as many dangers linger in the forest. Their only thinkable hope is to reach the academic city of Velangur where they can seek protection from the mages and wizards there. Who knows if the witches could disguise themselves as friendly wanderers to fool the two teenagers.
Dark forest: The dark forest is a large forest where the trees block out most of the sunlight making it pitch black at night and shady during day. During night only light crystals and fireflies are able to light the way unless a wanderer has something himself. In the dark forest linger many dangers such as bandits, goblins, some undead and even evil magic users. There are only few small settlements in the dark forest which are mostly protected by a mage, wizard or shaman.
Fort Silberfels: Fort Silberfels is a 300 year old fort in the middle of the dark forest. It is a Velangurian fortification that houses the 9th guard legion and the 2nd magic legion. It is probably the safest place in the entire forest.
Velangur: Velangur is an academic city and home of the Velangurian arcane university to which many magic users are sent to when their teachers see them as ready for it. It houses a great number of magic users and is guarded by the arcane council.
Zackenstadt: The ruins of Zackenstadt are visible across the river from Velangur. It was known to be a magestic city and the capital of the small mountain country of Zackenberge, ruled by a benevolent witch. Now it stands empty and even bandits and violent beings are afraid to enter the ruins as they think it is haunted.
Fabelland: Fabelland is the area where the story takes place. It is mostly covered by the dark forest with some fields near cities and larger settlements. The mountains start shortly behind Velangur and Zackenstadt.

Re: Deep in the Woods
I was interested in playing Gretel if at all possible. I was also curious...I know you stated it was short after they killed the witch..so are they still young children? I'm curious so I can find an appropriate image.
Please let me know, I'm in the middle of putting the Character Sheet together.
Thank you!
