In this world there is a tournament to determine the shape of the current world. Held by Messiah himself, this tournament has shaped the path of history for centuries. Major events in history, thought to be of man's doing, was a result of this conflict, such as the fall of Alexander the Great, the discovery of America, and the end of World War II. These are just a few of the many times the world was changed. In this tournament, which is known as the Tribulations of Fate, a human is paired with a mythical being, be they demon or deity. The human gains unique abilities based on their partner, and they must fight, until they are the victor. The prize, the ability to change on thing about the world that they wish. Power, wealth, fame, the death of an enemy or an entire race. These are the things at stake. A contestant is removed from this tournament when either they or their partner dies. The tournament was chosen to take place in New York, as the last tournament was held in England. To overthrow the chains of fate, one must triumph over all.

This RP, a human is given powers based on their partner. Be creative, as your partner can be any type of mythical creature, such as werewolf, vampire, ect, or a deity from a civilization of old. All partners take a human appearance, and power is based on the human not the partner, to keep things fair. I also want to see uniqueness in abilities. I don't want to see four characters controlling darkness or whatever. If you have any questions that need answering just PM me. Rules
1. Post regularly and ofter.
2. Under no circumstances whatsoever in this RP shall there be one liners.
3. Be creative, but not absurd with character powers. You may not have the ability to nuke the world...
4.Romance is allowed and provides excellent story material, but keep it PG-13.
5. Cussing and violence is allowed. This is not an RP for little kids.
6. Follow basic RPG rules. You should know these by now...
