"Lavi... I like that name. It seems to fit." Lavi said. "You should get some rest now." He wasn't sure how, but he lifted her onto the bed, and said, "Good night, sleep tight." He then vanished.

KT wakes up, but i guess it's not really waking up until, until you're gone and remember everything. She looks out of the tank like machine. She gets a better look at her surroundings, they're someplace that's a cross between a hospital and a prison. There are a lot of new "kids". She looks over at one girl who well, she has a hazy purple mist below her on another bed. As she stares at it, it slowly materializes into a boy. An odd one at that.So may new people so little time, but they would escape. Just at that moment "it" came. Ok so maybe "it" isn't a great word. The lab-coated monster, better so a female lab-coated monster comes in pushing some sort of trolley thing. Starting at the end, "Katrina..." then looking on her board and then in a bucket she pulls out a smaller bucket and dumps it into the water. It's little fish and krill(plus bacteria, but don't tell anyone). she gos by the other kids doing just about the same thing, she even brings mister invisible something! once she gos Kt pokes her head out. Her hand gos instinctively to her neck where it was cut. It feels healed but the slits are still there. Why? Of course! Gills why didn't she think of it. She pulled the awakward breathing aperatis off her face and went under water. She could breathe through the gills, this was so cool! She ate what little was left and got ready to watch the others.

As if instinctively, the invisible boy, now named Lavi, accepted what he had been given and consumed it. Strangely enough, his "food" was multiple colors. He then turned to the other cell, not saying anything, as if he was sure they could not see him still. He then turned back to the girl he was accompanying, with a concerned look, and vanished from sight completely, until reappearing with a new color, green. All the purple had turned green.

"Yeah, I noticed that. Hey, do you suppose, since I changed color, that the others may be able to see me yet?" Lavi pondered. "Maybe we could make fr....urgh...ARGH!" Lavi staggered back in pain, grasping his head. "I.......remember...ugh..It's all coming back now." Still in pain, he sat down on the floor against a wall. "Chameleon DNA...the whitecoats did it..to me...and I remeber what I can do now..." As he said that, he vanished and reappeared red, and with a chameleon tail.

Alchemy's ears droop, watching Lavi.

"I wish I could help him..." She thought. Then, without warning, she suddenly got flashes of her memory back. The whitecoats were talking to her, saying something about her being the first one to succesfully adapt to such old DNA. The DNA in fact did belong to a dragon, the last of their kind, and the whitecoats had it in the basement of the lab. They estimated that the thing was about two thousand years old.

"I remember the whitecoats talking to me when the were testing on me...they said that I was the first one to fully adapt to the Dragon's DNA. Lavi..." Alchemy sounds scared. She's only 15 years old. "What's going to happen to us?"

KT just watched as he changed different colors it was cool. He said he was a chameleon if so... No she wouldn't think of that now. It's not time to escape yet, not yet. Scales was still sleeping. She needed alias, friends. There was this girl just over there with a tail. Maybe she wanted to talk. Then KT noticed something she didn't hurt anymore, she, she felt free. Free of pain. It was wonderful, but she knew what the others were going through. So now she knew that there was Cham, Taily, and Scales. She climbed out of the water. It wasn't too cold. She wondered where was she. Oh now a jail, but she did nothing wrong. And then an orphanage, but she had family, right? Oh well "they" were her family now. She went to the bars that seperated her and Scales. He was still sleeping. Poor boy. She turned the other two Cham and Taily(she dosen't know there names) were in the same cell as her. She only took up a small space. Aproaching the now yellow boy, "Hi."

Suddenly remembering what Alchemy had said, he introduced her, "This is Alchemy...or at least that's what she thinks her name is. She...urr...isn't sure." At that moment, Lavi grew a chameleon's tongue. He could make it shrink back into his mouth, but did not yet realize how useful this tongue would eventually become. "Did you say you were a dragon AND that...guh..you were the first to adapt to the DNA?"
