“If our life were a chess game, I wouldn’t be a piece. I would be the player, moving you where ever I want.”

Image

Name: Limfe Cheryn
Age: Around 900
Race: Kitsune
Sex: Female
Sexuality: Not Required
Height: 6’
Build: Not much muscular mass, only skinny
Specialization: She is known to have an excellent affinity with all kinds of arcane powers.

Appearance: Limfe, if we could say, is quite the foxy type. She has pale skin, dark hair and her eyes originally were of a sky blue, but were darkened because of a contract she made. She dons what seemed to be a mashup between a red kimono and a short schoolgirl uniform and a pair of boots of the same colors. She has black fox ears and nine white fox tails. She has long nails that goes up to claws.

Image

Demeanor: She seemed to be the one that has no filter. She is the queen in question of making the other uncomfortable, often making lewd reference or gestures. Althought, she is known to be strict when it is important subject. However, in other times, she is just a playful as she can be, as if everything seemed to be a game with her.

Fears: Only one thing: Forneus.

Image

Weapon of Choice: None – She doesn’t use weapons.
Armor/Apparel: Besides her regular clothing, nothing much.
Mount: She was never seen with mounts.
Skills: Like said before, she learned about everything that there is in the arcane world. Unless for creation and such as it is forbidden by her superior. She is also very limited in the intensity of her spells before his her superior. He only choose when she has the right to use them greatly.

Image

Place of Birth, Nation of Origin: Believed to be from the Rim
Social Status: Single
Personal History: She was one of the first kitsunes to ever born on Lyracion. Although, she was strong headed. She often worked alone and taught to herself. However, it was with one of her stupid rage that she had a showdown with Forneus. And, as you might guess, she was defeated by him because she was so young. Although, instead of killing her, she was offering the job of coordinating the Spire. Between life and dead, she accepting the deal, making her under Forneus’ control.

For many eyes she had been around to make sure that everything goes alright. She also make sure that the Hellborns make it to the Rim, and would report of anything to Forneus. She is known to visit Lyracion for quite a while when she is bored, often finding ways to entertain herself and pass a good time. Like a good kitsune, she liked to trick people for her own will.

However, those things got up in his head and she started to plan against Forneus. She wanted to have her revenge from what happened earlier in her life. She started to think that she couldn’t take the Overlord by herself, and so she decided to plot against him by trying to take the hellborns with her. Although, knowing that they would report her, she hid her identity. She successfully made two go out of the Spire, but she was also cast away of the Spire because of some rumors that got into the Rim.

Now, she roams around in Lyracion with a spear she stolen from the weaponry in the Spire, stripped from her powers…

”I know you weren’t meant for this life, and I’m here to help you get out of here.”

Name: Lichen Fremy
Age: 21
Race: Given this is (as far as I know) an original piece, any race is accepted so long as it is approved. (Pretty much, no domesticated blood-sucking bat demon things)
Sex: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Height: 5’7
Build: 142 lbs
Specialization: Not so musculair – Skinny.

Appearance: For his petite body, Lichen has a pale skin. He has short light blond hair on his head and his eyes are of a sky blue. He dons a suit and tie with black pants. He wears comfortable shoes, and has glasses. They don’t have any forces on them, though, seeming to be only for show. Despite him being a kitsune, he looks like a regular human since his fox ears and tails aren’t there.

Image

Demeanor: Lichen is known to be quite persuasive. He likes to argument about everything and nothing, but mostly, he likes to be serious in those times. Likes his female counterpart, he has no filter, but is a bit more reserved than her. He knows where to stop, but he likes some teasing.

Fears: Again, like his counterpart; Forneus. However, for the first time, he fears death itself.

Image

Weapon of Choice: A spear. It seems to be resistant, but also swift.
Armor/Apparel: He has none, unless for his clothing.
Mount: None. He didn’t have the chance to steal one, yet.

Skills: He can produce an energy orb that acts like a light source, also burning on contact. He can throw it around, but it deplete of his energy quickly and so can only produce one every-so-often.

Image

Place of Birth, Nation of Origin:Unknown
Social Status:Single
Personal History: Lichen’s first apparition is in the 7th century. He is only known by a few amount of people, being the Hellborns. He says that he comes from a clan of powerful warriors, but he is lying. He is the result of a shapeshift by Lymfe, but that is something that nobodies know. For now.

So begins...

Lichen had been still sleeping on the top of a tree this morning. In fact, he was laid down on one of the trees until he heard some ruckus. From the sudden wakening up he had a small head ache. He scratched his head which felt weird. He shoved his hair a bit around, sighing a bit. “So it really happened…” He sighed softly, sitting up against the tree as he looked at the sky. It was so… blue and innocent, it made him smirk a bit. “I had to admit… he ate my queen.” He told to himself. Lichen sighed, jumping off of the tree as he caught his spear that was sticking out of the tree as landed down on the ground.

The spear had an intricate design. The whole made around 6’, which was only a few inches above his head. Despite that, the construction made it light weight for the used, as the blade isn’t that big. It was a double-edged blade which span in three direction. One was in the direction of the blade and the other made a moon-like shape going towards the handle. The blade had a swirl-ish pattern on it, making look like if there was several layers of steel forged together. The handle seemed to be just a stick of wood with some red textile over it to make a better grip of it. The end of it would be a forged spike. It had also two rings on each side, which helped to balance the weapon.

As Lichen heard more of the ruckus, he quickly travelled towards the source of the screaming, only to be found in front of a group of soldiers. It almost made his laugh to the point of snickering. A group of the soldiers turned towards him, pointing their weapon towards him. More specifically, the captain, one of the swordsman and two of the archers. He didn’t dare to move.

“What do we do with this one?” the swordsman said.

“He doesn’t appear to be a Hellborn…” one of the archer said.

“He probably heard about what this foolish said,” the other archer said.

“Kill him. He much not spread the lie that came out of this foul’s mouth,” the captain said, but he appeared uncertain. As they readied their weapon, Lichen chuckled a bit.

“Wouldn’t be sad if Forneus heard that the ones he protects turns against his servants?” Lichen asked with a smirk. They immediately let their guard down, unless for the one occupied with the Hellborn.

“We are terribly sorry. With what this one said, we were a bit under the shock.” The captain said, ordering for the body to be transported back to the castle.

“Oh. I’m sure you’ll be more in a moment.” Lichen said as an arrow travelled through one of the archers’ head. With that, they immediately took back their weapons, looking around silently.

When another arrow travelled in another archer’s head, the captain shouted: “Get out of your hiding, coward!” Just before his head rolled down to the ground. In fact, Lichen had profited for the moment to sneak up behind him, therefore in the perfect place to kill him. The other quickly turned to him as the archers shot their arrows at him. He quickly dashed over, dodging the arrows. Although, one traveled into his right foot. He let out a small scream, which spawned a smirk on the soldiers’ face.

One of the swordsman walked up to him, his blade to the neck of Lichen, shouting: “If you don’t get out of your hiding spot, I’m going to kill him!”

Lichen then smirked, a small energy orb appeared in his hand. “I do not want to kill you… but it can’t be helped.” As the swordsman looked back at him, he was quickly punctured in the stomach with the orb. The orb quickly floated around to do the same with the remaining soldiers, and slowly disappeared near the bleeding Hellborn. Lichen slowly stood up and pulled out the arrow from his foot, making another small scream of pain. He took one of the death soldier’s fabric to make a small bandage around his foot so it stop bleeding, and quickly reached over the Hellborn to do the same.

“We shall met again…” He said softly, using the spear to support himself as he leaped a bit more away from the scene, but finally gave up as he collapsed on the ground. He couldn’t feel his body responding to the movement he wanted to make, and so he stayed on the ground, breathing a bit heavily.

“Guess I really needed that queen…” he whispered to himself.

Having heard two short screams, Serra ran towards the area from which they originated as she pulled Hope along. She stopped short of the scene where Jarus lay on the ground, a bandage around his midsection and a pool of blood around him. She told Hope to stay where she was before Serra snuck closer to Jarus and looked at the wound under his bandage. She broke the head off of the arrow that still protruded through his gut and carefully pulled it out and generated a small fire in her palm before she pressed it against his injury and cauterized the injury, looking around during the few seconds the flame needed and she saw the bodies of the dead soldiers. She carefully rolled Jarus over to cauterize the other side of his arrow injury before she made a new bandage out of some nearby cloth and tied it tightly around him. "It's a good thing you're out." She muttered softly as she set him into a resting position.

Serra called Hope over and started to carefully moved Jarus onto her, being sure not to create too much strain on her. Once Jarus was secure on Hope's back, Serra sighed softly and more carefully moved examined the area. She walked to the bodies of the soldiers and slowly sifted through them, looking for anything use use or value that they might have had.

Hearing everything that went down below the tree canopy, Lucas sighed and had Noir fly above the trees to the nearest clearing in which he could land. "Thank you." He murmurs to the pegasus as they alight on the ground softly. Noir, without even being told to do so, begins sprinting through the trees with his wings tucked back so as to keep them from injury against the trees. "We'll get there in just a moment." Lucas mutters, and, like he had said, they arrived at the scene moments later.

"It's about time you get here..." He growls to Serra as he jumps off Noir and grabs the two arrows he shot successfully. "Someone helped me... I don't know who, but they had some form of magic. They took care of everyone I didn't." He stated, looking around the clearing and not seeing anyone directly in sight. "Serra," he starts, actually using her name, "there are people who are going to help us. I'm sure this person is either a traveler or possibly someone from a nearby village. Either way, we need to find whoever it was and thank them." He glances over at her before walking to Hope and checking on Jarus. "I'm sure it was a man... and I don't believe he could have gotten far due to a scream that I heard. He could be badly injured as well..." Lucas continues with his ramble, still looking at Jarus and not at her, so it makes it feel as if he is talking to Jarus now.

He could still care less for Serra, but he feels the need to speak right now because this was somehow his fault. He isn't exactly sure how, but he is sure of it being his fault.

Serra looked at Lucas, a little surprised and nodded. "I agree." She said still rummaging though the remains. "Other than your arrows, the captain was the only one with physical damage." She said as she gently fingered the belly injury of one of the soldiers. "There's an arcane taint on these injuries, so they must've either been made with a magical weapon or some form of magic." she finshed as she stood up and walked over to Hope, gently stroking her beak.

Not saying anything further to her, Lucas shrugs and glances over to Noir, nodding in the direction of the woods. "We should go check that out." He mentions, talking to Noir and pretending Serra no longer exists again. "I don't understand why someone would just abandon the scene before we're able to talk with him, though..." Noir knickers in agreement as he trots over to where Lucas is and they start into the woods together.

A few moments later, they find themselves having gone nearly around the whole clearing. "Maybe he's not out here..." Lucas starts, but trails off when he sees a figure much like a shoe in the grass. "Over there!" He points, running over to see blood puddled around the other man's foot. "You're not going to be going anywhere with that injury." He mutters, pulling the man up against him, noticing he's hardly conscious, although that is likely due to the pain more than the actual blood loss. Calling Noir over, he shoves the man onto Noir without giving him another option. "You saved my best friends life. You have to let me repay you, so you're going to let my pegasus-" Noir whinnies out of frustration at the term 'my' and forces Lucas to correct himself. "Noir take you with us. I can't let you be for dead. Are we understood?" He asks, glancing in the direction of the clearing once again.

It wasn't long until Lichen heard voices. He turned his head in such a way that he could see two beings arriving on the scene. He recognized that one of them to be the other Hellborn that escaped, while the other was… well, he wasn't sure for the moment. Although, he could faintly hear their discussion, but barely made out what they said. He stayed down for the moment; he decided that it would be wiser if he gone unnoticed for the group instead of confronting their questioning.

It was a few moments later that one of them found Lichen laying on the ground. It seems that he is going with them after all, whether that he liked it or not. He wasn't very happy about the being’s decision, but he recognized that it was only out of empathy from what he had done. Lichen didn't like it at all, but his lack of energy to protest wasn't helping him either. He just hoped that he didn't let his glasses fall to the ground. It would be rather unfortunate to lose them. However, now that he is on the Pegasus he couldn't pass without being seen. He guessed that he needed to meet his 'pieces' eventually, instead of simply nudging them into the right direction.

“T-Thank you…” He said softly, a bit forcefully as well. He slowly pushed himself up, smiling a bit at him. “It is very kind of you.”

"Mm, yeah, don't mention it... I could hear you got hurt and thought I should at least thank you for helping Jarus. It's clearly the least I can do." Lucas states, starting to walk away with Noir following him. Great, so now we have an injured animal and two injured people to look after. We can't get into anymore squabbles... we just wouldn't be able to defend ourselves. He thinks to himself, shaking his head slightly as he walks in the direction of the clearing. Not only is he concerned with their safety, but also their speed. It's gonna make things harder to find cover... He adds to his list of thoughts, looking back at Noir and the man riding him.

After a moment longer, they reach the clearing where he flops down by Hope and Jarus awaiting for him to wake up. "So, girl-fox, he gonna be okay?" He questions without a trace of concern on his face, but a definite hint of it within his voice. Behind him, Noir stops and slowly lowers himself into a laying position so the man on him may slide off and sit with Lucas.

Serra jumped slightly as Lucas returned, calling her a 'girl-fox', and looked at him. "He'll be fine, he just requires some rest." she said putting a few things into a bag. She stood up and turned to face him. "And I'm not a... who's that?" She asked, seeing the new person riding Noir and walked over to them. "Is he alright?" She asked, noticing the bandage on his foot.

Now noticing that the other being was asking who Lichen was, he doesn’t know if it was good to lie or not. Besides, the first impression is made is that of someone that defended a hellborn. He doesn’t know if they are ready yet, and guessed that he much stay on his guards about them. Besides, she was right; he wasn’t that alright because of his foot. Without it he isn’t as graceful as he would pretend to be. Either way, he decided to spoke for himself.

“My name is Lichen Fremy. I’m as much of a wanderer as you are, my dear.” He said softly. He gave a small thought about her; the way that she was given the name ‘fox-lady’ almost called her. It was a name that she was given by the smaller hellborns. It was cute, alright, but that is only a hint of what the stranger was. If she was referring to a kitsune, it would be no doubt that he would recognize one. Although, he felt that he shouldn’t start to guess who is who by now.

“I reckon that we shouldn’t stay here…” He said softly, noticing the carnage he and the hellborn made earlier. He made a small snicker. “…I have a small intuition that if they don’t return to the city, there will be more of them coming.” He simply said, turning his glace towards them.

Lucas tilts his head to the side, listening to Lichen as he introduces himself and mentions their position. "I agree. It'd be best if we get moving." He starts, glancing over at Hope who still can't fly and Noir who has no hope of flying with more than one person. He can run carrying two people, but still... We can't move readily enough with what we have. He looks as if he is going to speak again, but he stops himself, unwilling to point out the obvious which the others have surely noted by now. "Serra, did you find anything of value? If so, add it to our supplies and try to pack it around Jarus on Hope..." He pauses and a hint of concern crosses his face. "It'll help keep him from shifting as much." Although the others, assuming they had even seen that hint of concern, may assume it is due to concern for the obvious injury which the man had obtained. However, in reality, Lucas understand Jarus will be okay, but he isn't sure what will happen after he awakens again. I suppose I'll just act as if he had never said anything... that might be best... He thinks to himself as he begins to help her pack.

Serra nodded as she packed the few valuables she had managed to salvage out of the carnage around Jarus. As she finished she turned and strode over to Lichen. "My name is Serra." She said, briefly looking straight into his eyes before her vision wandered down to his foot. "May I take a look?" she asked him, motioning towards his foot.

I see a person... he's running through the woods at high speeds. There's a light, kind of yellowish, that illuminates the forest for him. but I can't see where it's coming from. As the man gets closer, I can see that it's me. I see myself. This felt completely normal to me, so I rolled with it. He had a few differences, he wore no armor, and instead had a rough, linen cloth. His face was covered in scars and bruises. What happened to me? I watch myself continue to run, and my clone eventually begins to run out of breath, and stops for a moment. As he turns to look back at what ever it is he was running from, I can see it. Fire. The entire forest was being consumed by it. Now that I saw it, I began to feel heat.

I can't move. The flames began to get closer, and I realized that I was now looking through the clone's vision. Or was it my vision? I wasn't sure, but he was facing the approaching flames. Couldn't move. Couldn't look away. I could only watch as the flames drew closer. Then I heard laughing. It was the coldest, inhuman laugh ever. By now I've realized this is another nightmare. I recognize this part to be where Forneus approaches me, and kills me. And then I would wake up.

Except... as he begun to come out of the haze and smoke of the fire, he seemed smaller. A lot smaller. Smaller than me. I squinted my eyes as the fire got even closer, the heat teasing my face with it's promises of a slow death. I tried to ignore it, but it all seemed so real, as did the other dreams.

I could now see the silhouette of the person. A man, actually. He stood a few inches smaller than me, and had pointy ears. Pointy Ears? I felt my gut curl up in knots. No... no this can't be... But sure enough, as he stepped out into the clearing, I could see him. The lean, athletic build, the trailing black cloak (now covered in flames, but he didn't seem to mind), A yew longbow, with blood-soak arrows. Two sheathes, one a considerable amount larger. All the while, he had the same menacing laugh.

He continued forward to me, the dagger emitted a loud, sharp noise as it was pulled from the sheathe. He got even closer, now only inches from me, and he stopped, a menacing glare.

"Lucas..." I mutter, not sure of what else I can say.

But, as if he didn't even know it was me, he simply plunged the dagger into my gut. My hands subconsciously shoot to his hands as he twists the dagger around my stomach, causing an indescribable pain. I feel my warm blood trickling over our hands, and my vision fades. The only thing I can see is his cruel, uncaring stare as I slid off the dagger and onto the ground.

~~

I jerk await, sitting up and nearly falling off of Hope. I'm sweating heavily as I stare down at my hands, making sure I was real this time. I feel the thick pain in my gut, but don't act on it, I'm too bewildered at what I just saw to do much, except stare at my hands. Hope makes a few sounds, curious as to what was happening on her back. Absent-minded, I stroke her fur. I only now realize that I breathe heavily.

I bring my hands to my face, and allow a few tears to drop before sliding my hands up my face to my hair, staring out into the woods, barely able to breathe.

After he had finished helping Serra pack up, Lucas had walked over and sat by Noir's feet, knowing he wouldn't be stepped on by the creature. It's a wonder nobody has realized your odd person-like behavior... He thinks as he looks up at his steed with worried eyes, and, looking down at him, Noir knickers as if to understand even his thoughts, though he knows that to be of the furthest stretch. Why can Noir understand me, but Hope can't? They're both animals, creatures alone... but one understands and can reply while the other is lost in whatever world she sees and lives in, unable to communicate with us. He pauses in his thoughts again to glance over at Hope, then the ground once again. Can they communicate with each other in their own, animal-tongue? Is that how that works?

Lucas ponders this thought for only a moment longer before glancing around the clearing at the dead and his own, odd group. This is all we have, but this is so much more than either I or Jarus could ever have hoped for. They support us... for whatever reason. Neither of them have lived through what we have lived through or understand us by our experiences or through blood as they are not Hellborns, yet... they stand by us. At least, that is what it seems for the moment. His eyes darken coldly at his final thought as he tightens his hand on the hilt of his flambard sword, standing in order to contain his anger. Although there is nothing he can do to defend his friend within unconsciousness, he still feels as if there must be something he can do for him. Ignoring the two new members entirely, he paces over to Hope and gently touches her beak as if trying to understand her and what she thinks. "Maybe you just have a bird brain in there." He mocks under his breath in a light mutter, jumping as Jarus jolts upward from his unconscious battle.

"Jarus..." Lucas whispers with wide eyes, springing to his side in the second. However, he quickly notes his voice had gone unheard as he intently watches his friend's actions with concern. "Jarus, please hear me..." He gently forces out, the look of worry spreading across his face before he can detain it. His heavy, nearly-distorted breathing, the tears running down his face... they shock Lucas entirely, making him unsure of how to help or what had happened during his comatose state. "You're not alone... we're here." He, more firmly now, whispers. "We're not leaving you."

He looked over at Serra as she asked if she could look his foot. Lichen was worried a bit for a moment; the fact is, if he really wanted, he could get the bandage off. He didn’t know her, and there was no particular reason why he should have trust in her. Besides, she does seem to know what is up with the Hellborns. By experience, she knew that the Hellborns weren’t much appreciated around in the known land, but for now, it is rather hard to say if she comes from the known land.

Then comes to his mind if he should reveal who he really is. Then, another question would pop in his mind; would he be accepted? By that, he meant that if the Hellborns would accept someone who worked under the hand of Forneus as long as this land was known to exist. ‘It is a very complicated game of chess, uhm…’ he thought to himself as he looked over to see that Jarus had finally woken up, which pulled him out of his thoughts.

He smiled softly; maybe their hope wasn’t lost. “Sure Serra, but you shouldn’t glance at it for too long.” He finally answered, looking at Serra once again with his smile.

Serra looked at Lichen oddly as he made his last comment before she squatted down and carefully removed the bandage to look at his injury. "Well, it shouldn't bother you for too long." She said, gently gripping his foot and sliding her fingers around his wound. "If you like, I could cauterize it so it won't become infected." She looked up at him, waiting briefly for his answer before her sensitive ears picked up the sound of Jarus moving and she dropped his foot, quickly rushing towards Jarus before stopping dead in her tracks, watching Lucas and Jarus.

I stare straight ahead into the forest for what seemed like a few minutes before I realized that Lucas was by my side, as was Serra, however she was a bit farther behind. I simply look between the two, still in my daze. The dream felt so real... and for a moment I felt somewhat scared of Lucas. But I know it's just a dream, so I calm myself down and clear my throat.

"I- I'm fine... just..." I pause for a moment, the image of Lucas stabbing me in the gut engraved into my head. "Just a bad dream is all." I pant a little bit more, but eventually I stop and slowly get off of Hope. It hurt to move, but it would hurt even more if I fell off of Hope somehow.

I lay the back of my head against Hope's side and close my eyes. I couldn't sleep, not after that, but I could try to rest. I cross my arms over my abdomen, the slight pressure easing the pain a little. Now that I think about it, it isn't the arrow that's causing the pain, it's because that's where Lucas had stabbed me. And to even fathom him stabbing me, let alone dream it and see it, hurt more than any arrow did.

Watching Jarus's eyes closely, Lucas can tell Serra was behind him, but he doesn't care as Jarus was still seeming to come out of a dream. Not saying anything further, he turns his head to glance behind him at Serra. "Jarus..." He starts, but pauses again and a look of definite concern flashes over his face. "We don't have the time to rest. I know you're injured, but if we stay here, we'll be killed. There are more troops out there, and when this band doesn't show up, they'll know of our basic location." His eyes wild, Lucas looks at his dear friend, wanting to beg him to let them flee with him, even if Jarus is tired and weak.

"We even packed up everything around you so you can't fall. We're incapable of quick travel due to the injuries taken by Hope and you and our new companion who we may very well owe our lives to. Please..." He whispers, glancing around the blood-stained meadow as he adjusts his weaponry.

I keep my eyes closed for a moment, faintly listening to Lucas. My senses slowly come back and I nod in agreement as I open my eyes. I mount Hope, scratching her neck. I bottled in the remaining emotions and casually begin to load up some gear from my sitting position on Hope, not making eye contact with anyone.

I take a final deep breath, and stare out straight into the woods. "Thank you for the help. I'm fine. Let's go." I say it in a flat, monotone manner. Hope lets out a small caw as I pat her shoulder area, and she begins to march forward, her broken wing flopping somewhat oddly at her side.

Poor girl, I felt sorry for her. Her wing was broken. For some reason I could only see the sadness in everything, and began to feel pity for everything. As I enter the tree line, I spot a tree that has been knocked over, and feel sorry for it. I see a spider consuming it's evening meal, and feel pity for the fly caught in the web. I see a patch of dead grass, and once more, feel nothing but pity.

It was an odd feeling to have, and I wasn't sure why I had it, but I did, and I didn't feel the need to shoo it away. So as Hope marches blindly onward, I slowly breakdown as the weight of depression crushes me.

"Alright," Lucas nods as he turns his head to glance back at the other two, "but I can tell that you're not fine. You can't be fine after being hurt that badly." He shrugs, pacing over to Noir and hopping up, hoping the other two would be ready to travel within the next moment. "I can scout ahead." He suggests gently, watching his dear friend for a moment as he steadied himself on the pegasus's back.

Noir's wings beat lightly for a moment as he observs the people around him. Then, feeling a slight pressure on his sides from the knees of his rider, he beats his wings harder against the air and begins to rise up. Dust created by the wind which Noir makes as he rises scatters around the clearing, only settling after Noir and Lucas were high in the sky. Whinnying softly to Lucas, he turns and they soar off in the direction that they will soon be traveling along on the ground. "Do you think Jarus will be more like how he normally is after he recovers?" He mutters to Noir curiously with a blatant tone of concern and worry. Lucas had been able to tell Jarus was off, but what worried him more was how Jarus was avoiding him. I don't understand how one minute he can be confessing his emotions to me and the next act as if I'm a traitor. He really can be such a damn girl sometimes, but maybe that just comes with being gay. He thinks to himself as he tugs on Noir's mane and points down to the ground below, noting the path they would be able to follow along the stream. "I think that leads into a river at the forest's edge." He mutters before turning Noir to go back, but not before Noir nods in agreement.

Serra watched as Lucas and Noir rose into the sky and disappeared over the trees before she walked over to Jarus to check on him. "Hey, are you alright?" she asked him as she carefully checked on his injury and upon seeing that it was fine she gently pulled on Hope's reigns in the direction that Lucas had gone, leading her out of the clearing. Serra stopped and looked towards Lichen, realizing she was about to leave without him.

"Hey, are you coming with us?" She asked him as she left Hope there and walked towards Lichen.
