"I cant take much more of this" muttered Finn sinking in her seat and hitching her brown legs up against the seat infront. It wasnt the heat that bothered her, nor the nosey human passengers of all shapes and sizes glancing over every now and then, it was Shawn-kane. He'd just begun his third round on 'natasha bedingfields- i want to have your babies' and Rieon had to admit...it was beginning to take its toll.
"I wanna have your babies get serious like crazy!"

"Shut the hell up you bastard son of a bitch!" Finn yelled twisting round to yank the earphones out of his ears and out of the ipod screwing them up and tossing them fiercely out of the window.
There came a silence where elderly passengers oogled at the bad language and 'younger generation' and the mothers with children shielded their offspring away. Rieons lips sqiggled into a smirk and Shawn-Kane sulked for a moment before slowly moving his head in between them and leaning close to Finn's ear.
"They gonna be springing up like daisies"

"AUGH! THATS IT YOU LARDY PRICK!" she flipped grabbing a fist full of Shawns hair and bringing his head down onto the hard seat 3 times. Rieon pressed herself up against the window looking about wildly as the passengers stared in horror.

"What you dont like my singingggg" Shawn-kanes words mingled with a snarl as he tugged his head back taking Finn and her arm along with him. The seat bent back with an almighty creak in complaint and the two of them began to snarl and bark at one another falling off the seat Finn staddled Shawn-kane and with one furious swing punched a hole in the bottom of the bus when he jerked his head left to dodge. She pulled it back through the hole both her and shawn's jaws expanding as they began to shift.
The passengers cried out and Rieon caught the bus drivers eyes widen in the wing mirror. "Oh shit" she hissed.
"Holy mother-" he stepped on the breaks. The bus jerked violently and everyone fell forwards against their seats apart from the two wolves who flew through the window screen.
Finn and Shawn-Kane shifted in mid-air their lycan forms scrabbling onto the road claws clicking against concrete as they went at each other like rabid dogs.
Rieon stared around feeling all the terror the humans felt and letting it send a shock through her at the anger she felt at their segregation but more than anything all the capable hands to dial the hunter hotlines advertised. She darted to the front of the bus everything around her seeming to slow down apart from her friends scrapping in the middle of the road cutting up the traffic and causing collisions.
Why couldnt they have let her go alone.
Climbing through the shattered window screen she felt the glass graze her bare feet as she jumped down and ran to break up the scrap.

"CUT IT OUT WE'RE GONNA HAVE COMPANY!" she yelled grabbing the scruff of Finns neck and with all her strength pulling her off of Shawn-kane and heaving her to the side Finn having the smallest Lycan form in the makeshift pack.
Looking down at shawn-kane who growled after Finn she kicked him sorely in the snout and growled her own threat.
Kicking him again she gripped another handful of Finn's coat much to her dispproval and snapped for them to get under cover and out of sight giving them both a motion in the rigth direction.
She then glanced back at the bus and car collisions and as she'd suspected mobiles were out. Some videoing and some dialing. Both were bad.
Shielding her face she ran into the road side shrubs after the other two.

"Run to the carnival" she called to them "We'll get some clothes for you there"

In all Sirius' presence, Philippa only felt sadness. Nothing more. His blades beaming at the glint of light coming from the soft glow of her lamp. He stood and spoke, "Alright...speak witch. Explain to me everything I need to know. And if you lie to me I'll cut you down."
But all Phil managed to do was to give out a mocking laugh but it ended as soon as it started. "You know you won't."
Her words hung in the air that made the air stiff and awkward.
"You have some courage to stand up to me like that. Not all get the luxury of doing so." He began, brushing one hand over the scars on his right cheek as he did so. "I won't let that pass a second time..." He was surprised that she yelled at him like so.
"I'm surprised you are back. Wasn't it always I-need-to-do-something-else-And-it-doesn't-involve-you your kind of thing?" She planned to lay everything out but she couldn't help being sarcastic with her heart pumping heavily.

The huge lycan paused and seem to be lost in his thoughts... or memory. Either way Phil wished he remembered.
"I guess I deserve to be forgotten, since you seemed to have changed as well." Her words felt empty, they lack it's convincing powers all because Sirius' scars and wounds bothered her. She wanted to tend on them. Like she always did. She then remembered the circumstances and blushed heavily. She cleared her throat to bring her composure back.
"You may leave if you wish. I'm no longer holding you down." Still, her words meant otherwise. Of course she wanted him back in her life. He was the first friend she ever had. No matter what he has become.
She pushed the lollipop towards to where he stood. She waited for him to make his move.

Sirius finally came to terms with what he saw. The images that ran through his mind were definitely memories; memories of a time of innocence...or atleast what he thought was innocence. As soon as memories of her came back to him dozens of others came as well. He soon realized that these memories were suppressed deep in the recesses of his mind because of all of the things that have happened to him and all of the things he did. I was cursed the moment I was born...

Slowly he placed his blades on his back, disarming himself. She seemed to be affected greatly by his actions from when they were young till now. Normally he'd turn a blind eye to this, but his sense of honor told him otherwise. In the past she did show him kindness...in fact she might've been the only one that looked at him in such a light. He owed her an explanation.

"I'm surprised you are back. Wasn't it always I-need-to-do-something-else-And-it-doesn't-involve-you your kind of thing?" He heard her say. He stayed silent, remembering the times that he left her. It wasn't entirely his choice to do so. Many things happened to him and his family that forced them to travel constantly. Then when the death of his father came and his mother became ill...responsibility was left to him. The decisions he made weren't the best for anyone, not even himself, yet rage took over and guided his hand. Regret...is this what I'm feeling...? He thought to himself.

He listened to her finish her piece, then saw her stick the lollipop towards him. Sirius thought now be best to start giving her the details, seeing that she's calmed down and he was more level-headed. "There is nothing I can say to atone for all that I've done...to you and to the world." He paused for a moment, slowly approaching her. Despite the softness of his tone, his feral and beastially voice was still there, still making him sound threatening to a degree. "If only you knew what my family and I went through in the years of my childhood..." He began, stopping just infront of her and kneeling down so that he was face to face with her, "My mother and father...both wanted different things for me. My mother wanted me to leave behind my lycan heritage and embrace the human society. She wanted me to go to school, get a good education, meet a nice girl, get married, get a job, and live happily amongst the humans." He explained to her, memories of his mother flashing before him as he spoke, "My father however...wanted me to go as far as I can from my humanity, and embrace the lycan abilities that were bestowed upon me. He hated humans, and all those that opposed the lycans." This time memories of his father flashed before him as he explained this to her. His father...he was confused about his father. He didn't know what to think of the man.

"He taught me how to unleash the full potential of my lycan abilities, and at night we'd go hunt innocents and hunters alike...That was why the smell of blood lingered on me sometimes when I came to school the next day. Mother did not approve of me doing this but...part of me enjoyed it." His killer instincts was something he could never escape from. It was as if being a lycan infused this thought into his soul, "The hunters hunted down my family...and we were forced to leave our homes many times...And when my father was killed, I took on his legacy and became the enemy of humanity he wanted me to be." He paused, shifting his gaze away from her, "My mother succumbed to illness and died five years ago...that made me even more angry than I've ever been before. She only wanted the best for me...and I couldn't even give her that." The memories of the event flashed through his mind. The face of his mother as she gave her last breath and she left the world. He remembered right after he realized his mother had died he nearly went feral, killing almost anything that came into his sight. "I revealed myself to the world that day...in Houston, when I caused destruction in key parts of the city. That act endangered many of our brethren...but I didn't care, the rage engulfed me already...If it weren't for my tribe the hunter's would've killed me already...But it's probably better if I died that day, because what the Get of Fenris bestowed upon me was a fate...I believe to be worse than death."

Sirius gazed back at her, "The Blades of Fenrir chained to my arms...they are shackles that bind me to my fate...I've truly become a monster now. My atrocities upon the world increased tenfold as I held these weapons in my hands.." He took a deep breath, not knowing what else there was left for him to tell her. "I'm sorry for...killing your father...and for leaving you." He was able to muster, slowly leaning in towards her. He pushed himself a bit past the lollipop she held towards him, and licked her cheek lightly, then leaning down and softly nibbled her neck. A sign of affection in his wolfish nature.

Once all was done he with drew from her, rising to his feet and turning away from her. "For your own safety...you should try and let go of me. My path of bloodshed will only increase from here on out." He began, slowly looking back to look at her. Her grey eyes giving him a sense of serenity, in just that brief moment, "If only we lived in different times...we could've been the best of friends...and perhaps even more, Philly." He said to her, then turned and exited her tent.

Outside, he saw Rain standing there. Was she eavesdropping on me and Philippa? He wondered and approached her. "Everything's done Rain." He said to her, "What do you plan on doing now?" He asked her, curious of what she was going to do now that everything was done with him. He no longer needed her help so she was free of him.

Rain almost smikred at what he said. "If you don't mind the company, I'll tag along. Besides, I have yet to repay my debt. I still owe you my life, Sirius." She turned, tossing her long platinum-blonde hair behind her shoulders. "And because I know you're wondering, no, I didn't hear a single word. Your buisness is your buisness, not mine. I'm just along for the ride, so to speak." She then turned to face him, almost an eager smile on her lips. "So, Slayer...where are we off to now?"

"I'm not someone you want to get entangled with." Sirius replied to her immediately, "And you don't owe me anything." He added, hearing her say she owed him for saving her life. He kept her safe..that much was true, but he didn't want her to have to repay that debt. Anyone trying to save his life would probably end up getting killed; no one needed to die on his behalf. Those that affiliated with him would also most likely end up becoming enemy of states, since he was an unholy mark that many recognized. People either feared him or hated him, and all wanted to see him dead. Such is the fate of the one who walked the path of Fenrir. Often times he'd wonder why it was him that was beset this curse...but even before the blades were chained to his arms, he committed many crimes against man already, this was probably his punishment for committing so much evil.

He looked towards the opposite direction of the carnival. The bustling city seeming to get back up on its feet since the events of yesterday. "I don't know...but my path will lead me to Hell eventually." He began, pausing and looking back at her, "And that is not your destination." He answered her question. Something told him she'd protest to him denying her going with him however. Why was this? What makes her so willing to stay with him and repay him. It's not like he's off on some wild adventure any time soon. Curiosity took hold of him, and he asked her, "You're a strange girl...you don't want to kill me, yet you're a hunter. You know that I have a reputation for spilling the blood of anything in my sight, yet you follow me...Where do you think I will take you."

Sirius turns to face Rain, his blood-tinged eyes meeting her luminescent ones, awaiting her answer.

Rieon sprinted through the streets barely catching the momentary shock of the general public when two large canines darted across their pathes sending their shopping bags and hair whisking.
Coming onto the vast grass plain leading up to the carnival Rieon could smell the smoke of the early morning fires burnt out from the night before, the scent of each and every supernatural rushing at her as she tore through the air, the smell of the food, the tents, the objects within the tents. She smelt the various lycans that surrounded the carnival and felt no threat. Shawn-kane knew quite a few of them it seemed and whether it had been a good or bad experience with him they stayed away and unlert all the same.
Besides. They were supernaturals. This carnivals purpose was supposedly to welcome all straddlers. At the speeds they were approaching though it was unlikely they hadnt purposely come here.

"There's a witch here. She runs this joint. We should find her and she'll get the clothes" Rieon looked sideways surprised to see Shawn running next to her in human form and therefore unclothed.
Maybe that was what was keeping the werewolves away. she thought humorously.
Casting left she caught Finn shifting back on the run her lithe figure cutting through the air.
She caught wind of the lycans around the carnival shifting. If that didnt attract them she didnt know what would!
It was the advantage of being a lycan. Being naked was apart of being who you were. You didnt loose your dignity but you sure as hell didnt care who saw you naked as much as the next person.

"Over there...see that tent" Shawn called gesturing over to the side. "I can smell that herby scent...must be her. All witches smell herby!"
Rieon rolled her eyes but followed it wasnt shawn-kanes nose she didnt trust-yet. It was actually Ellis' but he wasnt the one directing them- thankfully. Ellis' disipline on his sense of smell was horrendous!

Changing her speed to a lesser one she caught scent of something and jerked her head back in alarm. Sirius.

Shawn-kane's expression morphed into a serious one his jaw clenching.
"Smell that hunter?" Finn called.
Rieon did. She ignore Sirius' scent. He'd have to wait. There was the scent of a hunter in this carnival.

"Its female. Coming from the same direction as the witch" Shawn-Kane confirmed "stay on your toes ladies"
Shawn-Kane shifted back into his lycan form his sheer mass startling so close up Rieon jerked herself away from him as he fell into a run on all fours his sheer size impressive for a lycan she had to admit.
Gaining on the tent Finn and Rieon paused severall foot off with Shawn-kane breathing down their backs.

Rieons eyes widened...Wait...was that not? She felt Shawn-Kanes chest rumble in defence behind them.

"Hell is not my destination?" Rain repeated before answering his question, looking into his red tinged eyes. "Slayer...you don't know me. I've known I'm going to hell ever since I slaughtered the werewolf who changed me. I'm a hunter yes. But I've already told you why I can't and won't kill you. Yes, I have killed one Lycan in my time. I will never kill another one...at least not for hunting. As for where you will take me? Who knows. It could be as simple as I'm just bored." She sighed, running a hand through her hair. "Great...we're about to have company...four werewolves. Oh joy." Rain said sarcasticaly. She hoped that this wouldn't draw out her lycan side...but had a bad feeling that it would. Her skin was already crawling. Her canines were more pronounced as well as she scowled in the direction of Phillipa's tent.

Sirius listened to Rain as she spoke. What little she revealed to him had him wondering. Most lycans killed their prey and few changed them. What would make this particular lycan decide to change her rather than kill her. Or maybe it was that it only got a swipe on her and she was able to finish it off before it could kill her. "Chasing such excitements because you are bored may be your undoing. But that's for you to decide, just don't get in my way." He said to her.

Suddenly he caught the scent of a familiar person. One very familiar to him, and it was fast approaching. Rei...are you trying to hunt me down? He thought, looking over in the direction of the scents. His sharpened werewolf eyes found her, along with two others, running straight towards him and Rain. Their scents seem to be that of lycans as well. "So this is your posse Rei." Sirius grunted to himself, taking a step forward towards their direction, positioning himself in front of Rain. "The one with black hair is...an old acquaintance of mine. She's not very fond of hunters and neither are her friends I'm guessing...I'll deal with her." He said to Rain, preparing the blades on his back incase the wolf following closely behind Rieon would act out in a hostile manner.

The wolf seemed like it was ready to attack immediately, and if it was Sirius will make short work of him. Just as it seemed like it was going to, Sirius saw that Rieon took the initiative and stopped the wolf from attacking, along with some hostile acts recieved by the other woman accompanying them. Once her companions were under control, they began to approach him and Rain. Sirius could see that Rieon was caught in a mix of emotions, most likely from finally being able to confront him and the protective stance he was taking to guard the hunter.

He decided to be the first to break the ice between them, "Rei..." He said slowly, lifting his right hand up to stroke the scars on his right cheek, the same scars that she gave him that day. "I see you've been doing okay since we last met.."

Blaise
Gentle yet Shy Vampire, Traumatized by past, Anti-Social

Finally the Lycan had let me down at long last as the witch gave him what he wanted. He left shortly after, but it didn't feel like a short time to me. It felt like hours. He didn't leave without threatening me, that was prominent in my mind. "You got lucky today nosferatu...but next time I won't show you mercy." he had said. Well, I had news for him. The next time I saw him, he would be the one begging for mercy, not me. Now he is even more an enemy than before. Even more prominent was the pain running through my body like acid. He dropped me almost roughly, which drew all the breath I had from my lungs. My eyes rolled back in my head temporarily and my eyes rolled, once again coughing and sputtering, but this time from the drop. It was getting increasingly harder to keep my eyes open as time ticked by. I was soon to succumb to death. I hoped I wouldn't have to join the necromancer's little army. "Please, Necromancer... help me. I am not long for this world if you don't." I pleaded, starting to convulse and seizure. This was a very bad sign. It had only happened to me once before when I went too long without feeding. This meant that if I didn't feed soon, there would be one less vampire in this world. Whether that was a good thing or a bad thing I was not sure.

There were more reasons than one that I needed to stay alive. Not only did I need to repay everyone here at the carnival for their kindness... but also, there was something else I needed to know. I needed to know... if my brothers were still alive...Haydn and Fayt...

Suddenly, the smell of more lycans filled my noses, causing me to seizure worse and it also gave me a headache.

If I didn’t live... I would soon have reunion with my clan.

Rieon watched Sirius approached feeling Shawn-kane becoming hyper behind her at the approaching male.
"Easy Shawn" she heard Finn murmur placing a hand upon his fur.

Rei..." sirius spoke slowly, lifting his right hand up to stroke the scars on his right cheek, the same scars that she gave him that day. "I see you've been doing okay since we last met.."
Rieon strode confidently forwards herself a few steps her eyes sliding past Sirius to the hunter standing behind him. The hunter he was purposely standing infront of- to protect? Her eyes slide back to Sirius with an animalistic density. A darkness.

"Whose your new friend" she defined every single word as though she were choking up ice. Her body language hostile and irresponsive.

Rieon had planned to find Sirius and force him to sit down and talk to her- explain what he was doing here, how'd he'd been, how much had changed just a friendly exchange to find out the facts but it seemed that was not the case. She hadnt planned to find Sirius at the carnival, shielding a hunter and sending those reproachful dangerous eyes at Shawn-kane shifting those blades that made her jaw threaten to expand at the very sight of them. Bringing back the distaste of times to pass and the way he touched the scar on his face...Like he couldnt look at her without his fingers tracing the permanant marks her claws had made...like everything she stood for resided in those claw marks not in herself standing but several feet away.
Her manor of approach did not go unnoticed by Finn and Shawn-kane.

"She's not a friend.." He said, answering Rieon's question, "But not an enemy either." He added, dropping his defensive stance once he saw that her two companions were no longer hostile. She on the other hand, she seemed to be expressing every bit of anger and emotion towards him. "Why does it matter to you anyway. You have new friends now, so you should leave the past behind."

Did their past really affect her as it did with Philippa? They were two different stories however. Rieon seemed to hold ill feelings for him, despite all that they went through, while Philippa seemed to harbor...feelings of loss. He didn't realize it, but these relationships were what kept his humanity alive. No matter how much he hated that part of him, he couldn't get rid of it completely.

Sirius gazed into Rieon's eyes. Her turqoise ones that he could barely remember glistened amongst his crimson wolfish ones. "You still...resent me for what I've done." He said slowly. That day was etched in his mind, mainly because it was the day these blades were chained to his arms. His rash decision, his abandonment, nothing more could've gone wrong.

He didn't know what he felt about this girl in front of him. Perhaps he did feel something for her in the past when they were in Houston. But after all that he went through afterwards...he was sure the blood of his victims washed away any humanity left within him. That was slowly being proved wrong with each moment he spent in this carnival, with the two people from his past.

"She's not a friend..But not an enemy either"

Rieon relaxed and tensed all in the same moment. She couldnt understand why he was working with a hunter. After he swore how much he loathed them and spent his life killing them determined to wipe out those who fought to end their race and there he was saying this female hunter was not friend or enemy. That didnt even make sense she thought desperately.

"Why does it matter to you anyway. You have new friends now, so you should leave the past behind."

Rieon jerked her head back revolting the slightest from his words. She had new friends now so she should leave the past behind??? Was it her or did it feel like he wasnt refering to the fact the hunter was a hunter but the fact the hunter was female...and an accomplice. He was the one that always wanted to be alone. He accepted his fait because he wanted to be alone- he casted her out good and true. Of course she had new friends what did he expect that she'd wonder the world alone- wallow in self pity for her dead pack, family, friends- him. She wasnt the one with chains on her wrists wrecking havoc everywhere she looked- power hungry or blood drunk. It was him. She should leave the past behind.
Leave her feelings for him behind did he mean. Was that what he was suggesting. Is that what he'd done. Buried all the emotions and ties he'd ever had along with his mother in Houston.
Was that all she was to him. A vague face from the past that was pushed aside to make way for Sirius and his new feral views on life. Well. Well. She hadnt forgotten anything and everytime she saw him it'd be as if they were back on the desert like plain staring into eachothers eyes with anguish.
Anguish for him leaving. Anguish for his duties. Anguish for him now. Standing before her and telling her to leave the past behind.

"You still...resent me for what I've done." he said it slowly. As if, he's only just realised. Realised she hadnt forgiven him. That the anguish was still there like a scabbed over wound. Did her facial expression mirror her thoughts. Had he really thought for a moment then that she was jealous of the female hunter behind him because he may have found someone. Replaced her. They were never together for her to be replaced. Would it feel like that though if she had been jealous...
She only felt her defences weep and fail at his words.
Like he was saddened by the resentment. Maybe hurt. Or was that beyond Sirius now.
If he had...left the past behind. Why would the resentment of someone he no longer could relate to even touch his resolve.

She closed in on him by a few more steps. Ignoring her companions anxiety. They didnt understand.
She stood and reached out briefly brushing his fur with the tips of her fingers. Her eyes saddened. Her chest aching like hearts really did break..really could be pierced by the sharp steel blade of emotion.
"No" she lied huskily. "If i were to resent you, that would only suggest i cared" she diverted her eyes left feeling them sting, feeling her throat swell the sight of sirius would only make it impossible to say.
"What fool would care about a monster. You're almost a beast now- im surprised you can still talk" she murmured weakly her voice barely audiable as her eyes shone in the dawn light.
"I only asked who she was. You say the hunter is no threat. That was all that mattered to me"

Rain watched as Rieon confronted Sirius. Her fur bristled as she was simply refered to as 'Hunter'. However, she kept calm. Well, as calm as she could. She knew that Sirius could, and should for that matter, handle it, so she stayed silent. However, she kept her hand right on the hilt of her gun, watching the male behind Rie. He was...too eagar for a fight, in Rain's opinion.

The wind was unsettling as Soka stood on the small porch hours later, her thoughts deep her eyes roaming over the waves that bashed against the shores. Inhaling she knew that there was a fair amount of lycans nearby, it was somewhat unnerving. Bane suddenly appeared behind her a hand came to rest upon her shoulder, she drew in the warmth and leaned her head on his awaiting shoulder. "Rieon and Sirius are possibly with the others, but I doubt it's a good thing. Their reunion will be...an unhappy one to say the least, I am glad I am not there to witness it."Bane nodded but said nothing for a moment, then lowered his gaze to look at her. "Did you have a thing for this Sirius long ago?" Soka shook her head and chuckled lightly. "No, he was nothing more than a trouble maker who brought the hunters to our town and nearly caused me to lose my father. Rieon was the one who loved him, that much was apparent, but I still am unsure if their love withstood the sands of time."she commented in return.

Bane shifted himself and wrapped his arms lovingly around Soka protectively holding her to him as his eyes scanned the area. "That's good," but the words were slightly missed when the waves crashed against the shores. But she'd caught them, her ears hearing each word. Shaking her head she pulled away and scoffed. "You are such a male if ever there was one" poking him in the chest she stepped away and spinning on her heels re-entered the small beach house and moved to the table. Taking up her weapons she strapped them on and zipped up her jacket, then nodding to Bane they set out. Their destination was the location where all the Lycan's scents were coming from. Curiosity was waning on Soka's mind, the only remnants of her old self were her eyes. Tonight she did not wear her favorite perfume the honey suckle-jasmine. Tonight she wore the black amethyst Bane had given her, it mingled his scent with her's it would keep others guessing at least. Slipping the shades on she and Bane continued their trek following the scents in the air and keeping their eyes, ears and nose out for danger.

Sirius left her hanging. Philippa had to admit he did let him leave without a fight but she hoped he would stay longer. Then 4 more scents can be smelled arriving. She grabbed her spell book and wore her cardigan. The air felt chilly despite the southern weather.
Phil went out of her tent and saw Sirius and the hunter standing side by side facing four grown lycans. Two of which looked like they went through a rumble. The only female just finished sharing a piece of her mind. Looks like she knows Sirius a bit too much based on her words and actions.
"I will have none of this in my territory!" She made her presence known as she pulled the bell next to her tent to alarm everyone.
One by one, the carnival super naturals rounded up and left the six at the middle. Philippa rushed at the middle of everything and faced the female lycan.
"What is it that you need?" She faced the female they called Rei.
Grey, Grant, Karissa and Minerva headed the whole carnival on their feet. Ready to protect their only home.
"This place is for the homeless not a battle field. If you intent to ruin everything, we will not put up without a fight." Her voice was calm yet stern. She looked at the 4 lycans then at Sirius and the hunter.
"I've had enough."

~~~~~~~~
Kreon watched as the hunter left him and the weak vampire. He choked and coughed and pleaded for human blood.
"Vampire, we only have chicken blood. Would that be sufficient for the time being?" He pulled him up and carried him back to his cot.
"Phil never approved that we murder for food. We have plenty of chicken to drain. I wish that would help." Kreon pushed back the stray hair that covered his own face and signaled the lycan youngster to pull the roped chickens inside. The clucks filled his tent as he cut off each head and drained it in a basin and helped the vampire drink.
After a dozen of headless chickens he heard the bell. A signal for trouble. He wiped his hands clean and told the vampire, "Stay here. I'll just check what it is that's going on. Here wipe your face clean."
He tossed Blaise a towel and rushed outside. The smell of chicken blood filled his hands but what he saw consumed him.
Philippa was standing in the middle of two clashing groups as the rest of the carnival encircled them all. He pushed his way towards the middle and saw that it was Sirius with the Hunter while four more lycans on the other side. A beautiful yet fierce female lycanwas enraged but at the middle Philippa was about to explode. She knew it meant trouble for everyone. Especially that her power has surrounded the whole carnival. She may look fragile but Kreon knew having to live 4 lifetimes have made her really powerful.
Then he heard Phil say "I've had enough."
Her hands started to glow like fire as one holds her ancient spell book as the other crumpled into a fist.
Did he hear her right? The words that came out of her mouth as her fingers made contact with his fur...were they for real? So this is really how she feels about me...the years really did eat her up. He thought, listening to her speak, as well as watching her withdraw from him. What was it he was feeling now? Revelation? Regret? Anger? Betrayal? Devastation?
The time they spent together five years ago, though brief, had a big impact on his life. Every moment they spent together etched within his mind. Besides Philippa, who was a gem in his past, Rieon was like a part of him he couldn't let go of. From the moment he fought her, to the moment they kissed, to the moment she left the scars on his cheek, he knew that there was something about her that he couldn't leave behind. Admittedly, he was almost successful in leaving her behind for good...until fate drew them together again.
What am I thinking...I left the past behind a long time ago... The thought emerged from within him, I'm a lone wolf...and I will always be. Darkness bred within me the moment I left the womb, and the soul of a vicious warrior burned within my heart...I am death itself. As he thought this, it seemed as if a ferality burned within him. His crimson eyes seeming to brighten, fires appearing to glow within them. "I've always been a monster, it's what I was born to be." He grunted, a certain rage evident in his voice, "And monsters should be slain shouldn't they?" He glared at her and her company, "All those that opposed me suffered the same fate. Death follows me where ever I go-" Before he could finish his statement, something in the wind caught his attention. The scent was all too familiar to him, it reeked of Rain's other kind...hunters.
"Damn you all." He grunted, seeing as the scents of the hunters were all rushing towards the carnival. Sirius did not know how they were able to catch on to the carnival's supernatural presence, but now he'll have something to take out his anger on. He brushed past Rieon, Shawn-kane, and Finn, getting on all fours as he sensed the direction the hunters were coming from. It looked as if they were all in a single group, so he'd be able to take them out quickly. Giving one final glare at Rieon, he rushed off towards the hunters' position. Rain was probably confused by his sudden action, but it didn't matter to him anymore. His mind was about blank at this point, all that filled it was rage and a thirst for blood.
Sirius was moving at an incredible speed, it felt as if the world around him was slowing down. The hunter that was infront of the entire group was caught off guard by his quick movement, and in a flash, was lifted up by Sirius and used as a battering ram, knocking the rest of his comrades out of formation. The wolf rushed forward, holding the hunter before him. The hunter's comrades quickly recovered from their broken formation and followed after Sirius, seeing their supposed prey heading towards the heart of the city.
Sirius was well ahead of them and was fast approaching the crowded city center. Holding the hunter infront of him, Sirius rammed him into the side of a building, leaving a large dent in it. He then used his other hand to grab the hunter's head, and mustering his force, pulled the hunter's head from his body, spouting a fountain of blood from his neck. Dropping the lifeless hunter's body on the ground, Sirius slowly turned around to face the many feared civilians, and other hunters that were beginning to gather around the area. He tossed the freshly severed hunter's head in the air in a juggling manner, taking in his surroundings.
All that went through his mind was that there was much blood to be shed here, and that was all he wanted. He wanted to see people suffer, he wanted to see people die, he wanted to see people bleed, farther more he wanted to taste blood. His mind was flurry of rage now, his feral anger taking a hold of him. With one final toss of the dismembered hunter's head in the air, Sirius quickly drew out the Blades of Fenrir from his back and threw one of the blades up in the air and attached it to the head. He then utilized the chained blade in a manner so that he tossed the head towards the hunter's, opening up combat between him and them.
Returning the blade to his hands, he prepared himself for the battle that was about to ensue. Releasing a piercing howl, he unleashed the fury of his chained blades.
Rain watched, fasinated. Sirius truly was a slayer, there was no doubt about that. However, she was in a difficult position. She was on the very of changing again, in the midst of Hunters. owever, Rain thought, it shouldn't matter any more. She wasn't much of a hunter anymore now that she had sided with Sirius. She knew this was true as soon as one of the hunters had not followed Sirius and fixed his steely gauze on her.
"You're a Hiunter, are you not? And yet you let a Lycan escape?" He asked with a sneer.
"His life is not mine to take. I've found that I'm not the Hunter I once was. If you want to kill me...you're in for a fight..." Rain got softer as she talked, not caring any more that the other lycans were there. She changed. The hunter stood before her, his eyes wide with disbeliefe. "So...you've died, have you?"
Rain's deep red eyes looked at the hunter. "Since before I became a Hunter."
The man shot, she dodged. She didn't think, she just let her instincts take over as she fought the Hunter in the middle of the carnival.
So, the Hunter's were already at the fairgrounds? She halted for a brief moment to listen to the sounds, familiarize herself with the situation. Already Bane's heart rate had picked up as did her own that it was nearly matched."So the Hunter's brought the fight home. Whoever is leading them was severely miscalculated, they are out numbered and don't even realize it." The grin spread sadistically over her lovely face as she pulled the sun glasses from her face dropped them in the sand and in a movement that seemed like time froze adjusted her body's position and swiftly leaps into action, she and Bane raced across the beach, their agile bodies seen only as a blur until they reached the outskirts of the fairgrounds. Halting there Soka and Bane watched taking in the scenes and licking her lips in anticipation of the blood that would be spilled She removed her double blade daggers and struck out.
Every movement in her body screamed that she was inhuman as she leaps into the air and as she came down brought the blade into the chest of the closest Hunter, landing behind him she jerked her arm upwards and let the steel blade rip through his upper body as it grew lax and fell in a heap upon the ground. Bane hesitated, but out of good measure, he was there to let Soka have the fun, he would only step in if she needed back up. The years had not been kind to Amelia, her heart had hardened and all she was interested in was the blood lust of killing hunters. She tracked their scents and watched their movements as she raced through the now building crowd. Her war like cries resounded around her as she stabbed the dagger in her right hand into the skull of an attacking Hunter, had she not loved her blades so much she'd have broken the metal off in his head.
Jerking the blade free she turned in time to catch another Hunter in the arm as he was about to bring his own weapon of choice down upon her. She screamed angrily and sank her teeth into his neck, biting down as he let out a pained howl. She did not release until she'd torn a chunk of his flesh away and spat it out as blood oozed from the open wound His hands flew to the gap in his neck in hopes he could sustain his life as it flowed freely upon the ground. Wiping her mouth she backed away, her turquoise eyes scanning around her, Bane suddenly appeared next to her, the yellow tint of his iris's gave her the understanding he wished to shift. Content to allow him a little time in she called out to him as her hand touched his shoulder. "Kill as many as you can" with that he let out a howl, allowing his body to shift, the gut wrenching cracking of the bones and the sickening sounds that came from him until he was fully shifted kept the Hunter's at bay and when he finished Bane attacked. Lunging upon one of the Hunters that had surrounded him and sank his canine's into the man's shoulder, content at the taste of the blood that drizzled from the puncture wounds and his desire to taste more increased his grip until he ripped the arm away, blood splattered everywhere as the man's body fell to the ground and Bane finished him off. While he was occupied though Soka made sure the other Hunter's were taken care of, in moments their bodies scattered around her all twitching from wound inflictions.
Feeling they'd killed enough Soka whistled to Bane and he retreated with her to allow the others an opportunity to strike down the Hunter's. If they needed assistance further she would aid them, but for now she felt she'd done enough. In a secured location she and Bane sat and began cleaning the blood from their faces, not by wiping it off, but by licking it away until only their clothes were stained and hair. Bane had shifted and luckily for him Soka had packed an extra set of clothes for him to change into after he'd shifted to his human form. They waited to see what the others would do.
"Unit 7's been wiped out by a pair of werewolves, they seem to have withdrawn for the moment." A young hunter spoke into his PDA, informing his superior of the events that just happened. "Glad you are safe private. The squad that we had pursue the werewolves through the streets were wiped out by a lone wolf. He is now at the downtown area and causing havoc. I need you to head over there and aid the rest of us." The voice from the PDA replied back to him. The hunter nodded and switched off the communication device, sticking it in his coat and heading over to the downtown area.
The sudden attacks of these werewolves was a surprise to the hunter. This city was becoming a warzone with each passing day. The attacks weren't as frequent before these two attacks that took place and if they did, the situations were kept under control most of the time, with minimal civilian casualties and hunter casualties. Most of the time if there were attacks civilians were spared, since most of the supernaturals only held bad blood with the hunters, but with these recent ones civilian casualties soared. This was most troubling to the young hunter, because in his four years of service here he's never experienced anything like this. Regardless of what the situation was, he was to aid his comrades in taking down a single werewolf in the downtown area. This shouldn't be too big of a deal for them.
He was sorely mistaken however. The sight that greeted him was gruesome. People were panicking, the hunters were doing their best to keep the peace in order, and bodies of several people: hunters and innocents alike, lay on the ground. They were all dismembered in many places and bleeding from visceral injuries. And right at his 2'o'clock was the center of the commotion, a large lycanthrope fighting against three of his comrades. Within seconds, he saw the lycanthrope swing the chained blades attached to its arms in a cyclonic fashion and sever the heads of the three hunters against it. The lycanthrope seemed to revel in the death of his comrades, as he welcomed the sight of blood that spouted from the necks of the lifeless bodies of the hunters.
Wait...chained blades!? The young hunter thought. He recognized them anywhere, as they were the same blades that took the life of his family and village four years ago... "Sirius...I knew I'd find you!" The hunter yelled, drawing out his handgun and firing in quick secession at the werewolf. Sirius, catching eye of his new foe, rushed towards this adversary, evading the bullets that were coming his way. Throwing one blade forward, the lycan attacked the hunter. The hunter quickly rolled back and reloaded his gun, preparing for full on combat against the object of his hatred.
He would never forget that day. He remembered that the lycanthrope, Sirius, was caught in combat against the mayor of their village who was revealed to be a vampire. This took the villagers by surprise, but it didn't matter, as the battle between the lycanthrope and the nosferatu destroyed the entire village. The two of them didn't care about any civilian casualties that ensued because of their skirmish, especially Sirius. Sirius openly slaughtered any of the villagers that stood between him and the vampire, and by the end of the battle, the entire village was razed. He was able to hide away from the destruction that Sirius wrought, and from that day forward he vowed to hunt the creatures of the night, in hopes to one day hunt down the werewolf that destroyed his village and killed his family.
The opportunity was now here in front of him. The brutal lycan rushed right towards him, right in his line of sight. Sirius jumped in the air right at him, detaching the blades from his hands while in the air. Gripping onto the chains and extending them to their full length, Sirius unleashed both blades at a range towards the hunter, aiming right at his upper torso. The hunter rolled forward and just barely dodged the forceful attack, some of the fabrics of his coat cut by Sirius' blades. Instinct told him to keep rolling to the side once gravity stopped him however. His instincts held true, becuase as soon as he dodged Sirius' first attack, a barrage of several other attacks were unleashed by Sirius.
He could feel his life flashing before him with each close call, as he struggled to evade Sirius' series of attacks. The lycan was very proficient with wielding the chained blades, almost to a terrifying degree. The moment the blades made contact with the ground, Sirius was able to pull them right back up and throw them back down.
In his desperate rolling, he heard the lycan land on the ground again. The young hunter quickly got up to his feet, preparing for what was to come next. He saw Sirius rush full speed at him at a demonic speed, his hands gripped tightly around both of his blades. If close-quarters-combat was what the lycan was going for, the hunter was ready. Sirius was a vicious combatant, and his senses were heightened to an incredible degree. In order for the hunter to have any hope of defeating this foe, he'd have to catch Sirius off guard. It was going to be risky, and the hunter knew he wouldn't leave the fight unscathed, but anything to ensure his vengeance and the safety of the people around him was all that mattered. He was willing to give up his life for such a reason.
He took aim, with the intent of ending the wolf's life here and now. Sirius was fast approaching, not too far from him now. From the look of Sirius' stance, he wasn't going to unleash the chains and go for a ranged attack. The hunter only had one shot at this, a gamble that would put his own life in danger. He saw Sirius come in range of him and go for the first strike. The lycan's right blade going forward in a thrusting motion. The hunter jumped back to get out of the range of the blade and evaded the attack, then prepared for his counter attack. With a quick tug of his trigger finger, he fired a shot at straight at Sirius' heart.
The shot was true, as the bullet soared through the air and right towards the lycan. Sirius didn't seem to have seen this coming, because he was completely caught off by it. Only a split second to react, the wolf did his best to evade the shot, but to no avail. He was able to avoid the bullet hitting his heart however, but instead it pierced his right arm.
What surprised the hunter next was that Sirius seemed unaffected by the shot. Instead the attack seemed to fuel the wolf's rage farther. Before he could react, Sirius bolted towards him at an incredible speed, one he didn't expect of the lycan. This time he was caught off guard, as he felt the pain of a Blade of Fenrir pierce his abdomen, and the force of Sirius' charging rush against him.
He was pushed back, feeling his feet leave the ground and the pain of the blade through him. The pain that he was feeling right now was hellish. The serrated blade hooking through each organ in his body and pushing against him, as the wolf used him as a battering ram and charged forward. He didn't know where Sirius was taking him, but he wished the pain would end.
Memories of the past flooded him in this moment of near-death. A 12-year old boy watched as his village was destroyed by the lycan and their disguised vampiric mayor. The blades that the lycan wielded swung everywhere, destroying all that it touched. If only his family wasn't in the way of those blades they might still be alive... After the destruction of his village he became a hunter, bringing retribution to supernaturals that threatened to bring about tragedies like the one he faced. No one had to suffer what he went through...
But now, in this moment, he didn't try hard enough. He felt his back hit against a wall, and the blade that was stuck against his abdomen forcefully pulled out from his body, making blood spout from his open wound. He fell to the ground from the impact, looking up at his hated adversary; anger, hatred, fear, all mixed in his gaze. "You..truly are a monster..A beast like you belongs in Hell...What you did to my village four years ago...will not go unpunished.." He spoke, coughing up blood as he did so.
Sirius glared down at his fallen enemy, preparing to deliver the final blow. He wasn't to let anyone who injured him go with their lives. Putting his blades away on his back, he stuck his left claw into the bullet wound on his right arm, removing the bullet like it was nothing. Some blood flowed from his arm as he did so. "The words of a dead man mean nothing to me." Sirius grunted, raising his foot to deliver the coup de grace. Before he was able to though, he felt a rock pelt against his back. The furious lycan turned around, searching for the source of who threw the stone at him, and found a little girl standing there. Her young eyes held hate only a pure child can hold for the destruction that ensued here. "You're a monster! Stop hurting these people and leave that man alone!" She yelled at him.
The werewolf's patience was at an end. He would not have anymore disturbances from anyone. Deciding to leave the hunter for the time being, he slowly approached the girl. Instinctly she backed away from him, fear replacing the hate in her eyes.
The hunter saw Sirius forget about him and head towards the girl that directed the wolf's attention towards her. He can't let Sirius kill such an innocent, he had to do something. The only thing that came to his mind in this instant was the knife in his coat pocket. Reaching in, slowly and painfully, he drew out the knife, it's silver blade gleaming in the light. Mustering all his might, he threw the knife at Sirius and it made contact with his left arm. This injury made Sirius howl in pain, stopping his advance towards the little girl. Run little one!
The pain of the blade in his left arm surged through Sirius, as he jerked to the side, grabbing the blade's handle with his right arm and pulling it out, tossing it on the ground. Now this was finally the last straw for the wolf. Ignoring the pain that was inflicted on his arm, he rushed towards the girl and grabbed her, lifting her up from the ground. His large hands easily gripped around her little body and despite her squirming, he held on tight enough so she wouldn't be able to escape. He then shifted his gaze back towards the hunter, and began approaching him once more.
Is this...the end...? The hunter thought, seeing Sirius approaching him as well as hold the girl in his hand. Once Sirius was right at the hunter, he brought his fist down on the hunter's chest, crushing his ribcage and lungs immediately. The hunter let out one last painful gasp of air before his breath stopped. It would only be a matter of seconds before life left him. Painfully he gazed at the wolf that stood above him. His regret was that he failed to protect the girl, and that he wasn't able to avenge the death of his family and village. The last thing that he saw before darkness enveloping him was the sight of Sirius crushing every bone in the girl's body with his hand and her young form bending backwards.
Howls filled the carnival. Sirius just went past her and rushed away. Everyone dispersed and did their drill. Her hands glowed more. He might have ignored her but she followed him. She couldn't let him die. She felt the scents of hunters, they are far too many. Even if he can take them all, she knew this humans won't put up without a fight.
"Kreon! Protect the children!" She shouted after Kreon and moved.
~~~~~~~
Kreon saw Philippa following the lycan. He got furious. "Philippa!" He screamed! But the pour of other supernatural who were ready to fight blocked his way.
He tried to run after her but lost her. He kicked the tree out of frustration and felt his staff necklace throbbing. "Hell no!"
He pulled the string and chanted some words. Soon they will have a small reunion, he and his army of the undead.
Good thing for the nearest cementary.

Blaise
Gentle and Shy Vampire, Traumatized by Past, Anti-Social

The chicken blood Kreon gave me was sour, practically bitter as it trickled down my throat. My stomach protested, but it would be enough to keep me alive, for now. I could tell by his actions that he wished he could do better, but nothing could be done about it. Kreon... was proving to be trustworthy as well... as long as I didn't get on Phil's bad side. I wiped my face with the towel he had given me and sighed, closing my eyes for a moment as my heartbeat slowed slightly.

But my peace only lasted a short time when suddenly, the smell of lycan suddenly wafted up my nose. There were so many of them surrounding the carnival it was horrid. I pushed myself up of the cot slowly, holding my head as it throbbed painfully from the smell of dog. Then the smell of hunters came to me. But the third smell... the third smell hit with the most impact.

The smell of... human blood.

My stomach knotted painfully and I doubled over, wreching and groaning as my fangs lengthened. What was this pathetic thing I'd become?! The strongest of three brothers, folding at the smell of just human blood, unable to help the ones who had saved me because I'm so weak!

The smell of blood flooded my senses, causing adrenaline rushing through my veins. I tore myself from the cot and stepped through the tent flaps, into the chaos of the streets, hungry for human blood. The only ones who could stop me now... were my brothers... I doubted I'd ever see them again.

Fayt looked over at his brother, Hadyn. "Any sign of him yet?" He called across the rooftops. There was chaos in the carnival belowe, where they had tracked Blaise's scent, but no physical sign of him yet. Fayt fingered the hilt of his blade, itching for battle. He desperately wanted to join the fight down below. And then...one of the Lycans caught his eye. It was a female, large,dark-haired, but not as strong as some of the others, but she definatly was holding her own against a Hunter. Fayt couldn't figure out where he knew her from...finaly, something clicked. It was the half-lycan, half-human Hunter who had tried to slay him some four years back. They had been pretty much on equal footing in terms of strength, and had been locked in a stalemate. Finaly, a truce had come up. They would let each other be, so long as Fayt didn't try to have her killed as a half-breed, and she wouldn't list him as a rouge vampire. Hm...I wonder if she knows anything...Fayt wondered to himself.
