Personality

Malzahar is an incredibly serious individual, despite his youth. However, there are signs that he really just wants to act his age, but his past always reminds him that youth and naivety and innocence only tend to get in the way. Incredibly adaptive, he always goes with the flow, and usually never speaks much until he gets to know someone.

Equipment

On his left right arm is this gauntlet

Image

He can summon both his spear and bow at will

History

His tribe is a very isolated tribe, kept under very strict rule by their High Prophet. They are extremely xenophobic and nomadic. However, once someone starts raising any kind of questions, they are exiled on the spot, and if they ever try to return, they are killed on sight.

So begins...

Malzahar's Story

Malzahar had already been in the bar, but most people weren't paying the Lizardfolk any mind. Either that, or they were avoiding him. He seemed to radiate heat, and his face was set in his people's version of a scowl. He merely watched the patrons while slowly drinking his third glass of water. Its not that he had disgust in his eyes, or anything of that negative nature, he just seemed so...serious. And thirsty.

Malzahar knew that someone was watching him, even if it was just for a brief second. Just before their eyes could leave him, Malz shot a glance their way. Almost nothing escaped the prophets attention, especially when he was in a strange land. He raised his glass to his lips, only to find it disappointingly empty. Again. Sighing in an almost hiss-like manner, he rose from his seat, his chain mail clinking against his chest scales as he walked towards the bar.

Malzahar sighed at all the commotion, silently returning to his seat with a fresh glass of water. "Why are humans always so confrontational about everything? Makes no sense..." He closed his eyes, taking a long, drawn out swallow of the sweet, cool liquid.

Malzahar had finally sated his thirst, liking his chops with a hiss as he set down his empty glass. "Much...better..." He thought out loud to himself, finally feeling like he was out of the heat. It always took some time for him to cool off, especially since his scales seemed to draw in enough heat to cook an egg. But that would be messy. "Hmm...Now what...?"

Malzahar slowly stood from his seat, deciding maybe it was time to get back to his task at hand. Not that he had a task, but maybe it was time to get practicing again. He hadn't exactly completed his trained before he had been exiled from his tribe, so the rest of his Art was his alone to perfect. He gave a quick glance to the two disturbance makers earlier as he walked by their table, his tail bumping one of them as he continued on his way.

Malzahar made it to the bar door, turning his head over his shoulder to give the people in there one last look before walking outside. He saw the two from earlier again, but paid them no mind. His eyes then darted to the winged hybrid in the back corner, but judging by her naginata, she was probably a warrior type, so an introduction was a bad idea. The bartender and the waitress, all of them had been at least polite to him. But for now, he would probably go out into the desert for a bit, just to re-heat his blood.

Malzahar was sitting out behind the tavern, near the service entrance door. He would have laid down out front, but it was shaded there and after sitting in the bar for a few hours, drinking ice cold water, he really needed to reheat himself. His small pack was under his head, his armor pressed up against the wooden walls of the bar. "This is wonderful heat...Very dry..." His chest wasn't bare, for he still wore his chain mail vest and tunic pants. "Nice...cool breeze...And a searing sun to warm my blood..."

Malzahar opened his eyes when something started to block his sun. If she hadn't noticed him, it was probably because he scales almost blended perfectly into the sun baked ground. "Excuse me miss...you are blocking the heat..." The lizard Devi blinked, his chain mail clinking against his hard skin of scales. "If you don't mind, that is..."

Malzahar blinked before closing his eyes once more, hissing contently. "Ah I don't mind if it was an accident. Thank you for moving miss." He paused for a moment, his tail trying to run through the ground under him, finally breaking free to wiggle in the loose dirt. "You were the bartender...right?"

Malzahar could feel her eyes on him but he did not re-open his own. "Oh...and why is that? Is it the stares you get from humans? Or stares in general?" He yawned, scratching at his chin as he rolled onto his stomach, his skin twitching as it settled down again. "And if you do quit...where will you go?"

Malzahar opened his eyes slowly. "I've...no real problem with humans as a whole. A few of them grind on me.

Malzahar sighed, the heat making him need to catch his breath. "I do the same. I really don't have a home. And I just wonder around the desert mostly. Never staying in one place. Its in my tribe's blood to wonder." He smirked. "And if we don't, we fear that the Dark Sun God, Kog'Maw will smite our people from the realm."

Malzahar grinned, sitting up. "Oh don't worry. I'm not serious about what my people believe. Like I said, I have no home at the moment." He couldn't help but actually look at her but his training took over, forcing his young mind away from those thoughts. "Meat huh? I could...Well do you prefer fresh?"

Malzahar finally stood, stretching slowly. "Nyish...Hmm...maybe you want to come into the desert with me? I can maybe hunt up us something real to eat...Or you can stay here while I go hunt. Either way, I'm starting to get my weekly hunger." The Devi began to don his armor rather leisurely.

Malzahar slowly began his treck back into Aridale City, dragging behind him a rather large, crude net which held a slightly smaller sack. The sack was red at the bottom and slightly leaking, so odds are it was whatever he had caught to eat. Maybe he would run into the feline again. If not, he had a meal so it was good either way. He drug it back to his camp and began to untie his prize...And his camp was maybe a five minute walk from the tavern, behind it.

Malzahar had a small fire going for his own personal warmth, and large strips of meet hung over a set of lines he had tied between two cried out corpses of what used to be trees. A bloodied dagger was stuck in the trunk of one tree, and he was stripped down to his leggings, his arms coated in blood up to his elbows. He sung a soft tune, merrily whistling as he worked away more flesh from the bone. Apparently, he had killed a large desert snake.

Malzahar looked over his shoulder, pulling the blade from the trunk to return to his catch. "I said I would share earlier, remember? If you want some, feel free to take some. It was a big snake...so lots of meat." He began to slice another strip of the serpent away, that same tune still on his lips.

Malzahar sat down across from her, his bare back to the flames, almost touching them. "Well I said I would share so even if I wanted to take back my word I'd have a hard time with it." He flicked his tongue outward, tasting the meat strip in his hand before tearing a chunk away with his fangs. "By the way, you left your skirt behind. I threw it inside my tent just in case you wanted it back." He had a little blood dribbling down his chin. Apparently his piece had been pretty juicy.

Malzahar shrugged and wiped it away with his claw, flicking it into the sand. "What do you know. I sure did. So, how is it? I tend to like snake meat, especially vipers like this one. Really tender and full of blood. Just yummy." He took another bite, hissing in pleasure. "Help yourself to as much as you want."
