Saniyah tugged on her camisole again, now distracted from her efforts of keeping her hand still. "Why, thanks. Don't worry. I'd take it as a compliment," she stated with a slight roll of her eyes before deciding not to take anymore meat and laying down carefully, curling her tail around her. "Hah. Funny picture, you getting slapped," she commented, closing her eyes.
Malzahar blew a puff of hot air out his nose. "Right. I'm glad it makes you laugh. Maybe I shouldn't have shared any of my delicious meat." He disappeared inside his tent for a moment before coming back out with a large canteen, using it to wash his blade, his arms, and then to wash down the meal.
Saniyah grinned, showing her teeth for a moment. "Too late to take it back, now, though! I can laugh at whatever I want, now!" she stated, looking over at him. She frowned and looked over at the tavern. Probably missed her shift...That was one way to quit, she supposed...
He caught that little frown but he didn't bring it up, instead he tossed her the still half full canteen, landing it inches from her face. "Drink up if you want some. And do you happen to have a place in town or have you just been staying at the tavern?" Malz laid back in the sand, on his stomach, and began to draw in the dirt.
Saniyah jumped slightly as the canteen landed near her, but sat up slightly to gargle a bit and swallow some down thirstily. "Thanks. Nah, I just sleep wherever. Usually somewhere out of sight," she stated, tugging on her shirt again. "Like wearing clothes even less at night," she added with that same strange smile.
Without taking his eyes from his drawing, he rolled his shoulders, sighing. "Like I said, make yourself at home. And you are welcome to have my tent tonight. I prefer to sleep outside anyway. Especially on warm nights like tonight.
Saniyah tilted her head to the side and smiled widely. "Really? Well, that'll be a change for the better. I'll take you up on that offer, as long as it's really okay," she responded, sitting up fully. "And I don't think you really want me to make myself at home. It'd be a mess and such," she joked, her tail swaying happily.
"You really are an odd one Sani. And the only one I've been able to talk to in a long time." He quickly rolled away from where he was drawing, revealing that his little etchings were now glass. He had been using a bit of fire magic to make his drawings last longer. If she knew his language, which he knew she wouldn't, she would know they were words, just not doodles.
Saniyah smiled again. "I guess being odd is good, this time! I'm glad to talk to you. And eat your meat. And use your tent!" She gave her roaring laugh and then looked at the sketching curiously, moving to crawl over on all fours. Her hair fell in her face as she looked them over, no clue what it was..."You can make glass? Cool."
Malz gave her a small little smile. "Yeah. I like to make glass too. All my weapons are made from enchanted glass that I made myself. And my armor is too. The glass I was using in the bar I made myself." He seemed to have a little pride of this, and he couldn't help but feel his tail start to twitch.
