Post apocalyptic earth

She shrugged "grab anything you asses didn't take and run..." She mumbled before turning to look at him "yknow...I had a whole group that I was with...before some men can along and brutally killed them for supplies...you wouldn't happen to know who those men are, would you?"

"Not sure could have been a group of raiders to kill and pillage or a squad of soldiers though if you saw a identification tag or if they had some good quality uniforms it's possible they could have been soldiers but I don't even know where your group was killed".

She stopped "so there might be someone who knows. Tell me who might know, take me to your base and let me talk to people. I need to find out who it was..." She stepped in front of him and put her hand on his chest, forcing him to stop

Laurence stopped in his tracks "Well the "base" is this way" as he begins to walk a different direction "it could be possible that one of them must have heard radio chatter or even been there themselves, but try not to ask around to much or draw suspicion victor might catch on to your disguise or even one of the others including Dave so I suggest you talk to Jackson first' he is a nice person and cool at the same time so he won't really notice much, but try small talk first and then ask if they seen anything interesting the past few days" as he looked back at her and gave a confident smile.

She shook her head "you know I don't exactly care if they catch on. But if I winds up being one of them I swear I'll...god I'm not telling you that..." She turned and started following him, adjusting her grip on the gun he'd given her

Laurence has arrived at the outpost they had begun to build with sandbags and soldiers already in place and Laurence walked up to the soldier in the front "private Laurence and the woman behind me is private Elizabeth she just transferred from the bunker to help out" the soldier examined the two "alright it's pretty much going to be dark out so stay inside the outpost and under no circumstances must you leave, sergeants orders" the soldier explained "that's no problem" Laurence said walking inside

She frowned and followed him "weird..." She stared down at her feet and whispered "so is there anyone here that I'll be able to talk to about my group?" She asked

Victor walked up to Laurence "private Laurence who is that with you".

"Her name is Elizabeth she is a private sent by the bunker to help us out" victor looked at Elizabeth with cold eyes for a few seconds then back at Laurence "Laurence i also want to know is. Why haven't you reported to us more quickly about this new arrival".

"Well sir she was just sent a few minutes ago and I came into contact with her and showed her the way" victor looked at Laurence "that dosent explain why you took a whole hour without anyone nearby, is it because you where helping the enemy" victor asked Laurence with a stern look in his face "i would never help the enemy sir!" As Laurence stood up as straight as he could giving a salute "we will see about that Laurence" as victor walked to the middle of the room "attention all privates I want you to meet outside the building in one hour for a special test to see if you people have what it takes to fight" and victor walked off to a door which seemed more like a command center that a small room. Laurence looked back at Elizabeth "well that was close" Laurence gave a huge sigh of relif "so Elizabeth you got one hour to talk to people before this "test" of victors so I best not be tardy when that time comes".

She nodded and looked around "um...but wait you're sending me off to talk to people alone? I don't even know anyone." She looked at him and frowned "what am I supposed to do if they figure out about me?"

"I would come along but I'm gonna have to help fix this place up as well so calm down a bit and introduce yourself to the others and they will to you" as he began to walk to a pile of sandbags in the corner of the room and began to lift them to the entrance.

She nodded slightly and looked around at everyone. She slowly approached someone and spoke "um...hello..."

The man had his back turned to the woman and seemed to be creating some sort of barbed wire and then he was interrupted by the woman saying "um...hello"" the man turned around and looked up at her face "hello" the man greeted with a pliar in his hand.

She looked down at the barbed wires and stepped back abit "how are you...?" She asked, to nervous to ask anything else so she decided to be friendly

"I'm doing good" the man replied "the names Henry matkins but you can call me mat for short, so may I know your name miss?"

"Elizabeth Clyde...I'm the uh, new recruit." She mumbled, fiddling with her hands "how long have you been here mr. Mat?" She asked

"Well I've been here for 2 years plus all the years we been underground so....a long time" the man replied "but I'm just the engineer and since there isn't much stuff to fix these days i just build some barbed wire to keep us all safe" as he went on using his pliar to twist the metal wire "so Elizabeth need anything or just need some help?".
