Mhisty Talos

Leader of Shira-yuri Organization

a character in “Era of the Creatures: The End of Humans”, as played by xDarkTiger Rose

Description

Image
The Name is: *Mhisty Talos*
My Age: *21*
Gender: *Female*
Height: *Six feet tall*
I'm Affiliated With: *Shira-yuri*
My Rank is: *Leader*
I'm an: *Elf*
My Powers Include: *Fire spells. Pretty much playing with fire*
*Understanding all languages*
My Weaknesses are: *Any sharp weapon that can pierce my skin; Hand-to-hand combat*
*Lack of strength in muscle*
*Possibly her over-kindness to others when it could be bad*
Scent Identification: *Usually, she smells like the forest and earth surrounding her. When she gets mad, however, she begins to smell like cinnamon!*
Personality Check: *She is kind and wants the best for other people. She's intelligent and is able to lead people to do good, but she wouldn't ever try and enforce her ways with violence. She doesn't know how to hate, but she knows how to stand up for herself. She also is very optimistic about sorts of things and may appear, sometimes, to be hyperactive. Just because she doesn't know how to hate and doesn't enforce with violence, she can get angry. She loves giving people the benefit of the doubt.*
My Current History: *Like most elves, she grew up quietly in a forest with close friends and family. It was when she turned 13 that it was discovered she could manipulate fire. Everyone had mixed feelings about it; one, she could easily burn the area to the ground... and two; few elves have such an ability in the area she lived in, so it was special. When it was obvious that there were evil creatures trying to overtake the land for their own that she decided she would form her own group to stop them, no matter what. She didn't want the possibility of being enslaved! With this thought in mind, she had asked her elf friends and family if they wished to follow her to keep their freedom. No one accepting the offer, she just set off on her own, recruiting whoever she could. She had caught ear that the leader of the Akashinu was a demonic dragon, so she knew she would have no chance by herself. She would need as many creatures as she could for this. After some time and effort, she was able to recruit some others, but it certainly may not be enough yet. Leden, the ice dragon, was the first creature she could get to join her.*
Anything Extra: *She loves to give nicknames, although will stop if the other mentions they don't care for them*
*To have her elemental fire, she has a fire spirit that is a part of her within. This fire spirit has two parts, light and chaos. Knowing this, Mhisty refuses to use any of the chaos fire, sealing it away from her touch. This causes her to use only the light part of her fire. However, if she uses too much of her regular fire, the fire spirit can become imbalanced with more chaos than light. If this occurs, Mhisty might become more snippy than she usually is; a side effect being that slight personality change until that light fire regenerates.*

So begins...

Vee paused when she was told she could go along them. This was new to her, she was usually the inviter not the invitee. Well, I haven't been out of the woods or to the village for a while. And being around someone that isn't an animal might be good for me. Hesitating only a minute more she caught up to the group with a smile. "I'll take you up that offer, Renth." She chose to ignore the dead animal across his back, guessing it was his way of making a living. He probably sells the furs, maybe even the meats.

She turned to face Irsire with a nod. "It is nice to meet you too, Irsire. And there is no need to feel sorry for not hearing of me, I do not feel like I am someone to be spoken of by strangers even when I helped them one time or more." She looked over and watched the dragon, the kitsune, and the elf woman speak with amusement as she continued speaking to Irsire. "I have to admit, you have quite an odd group here, no offense. What exactly are you recruiting for?"

Mhisty Talos

Mhisty just shrugged her shoulder to the best of her ability to Leden, "That's okay, Leden. I was just curious." She figured that it couldn't be the demon dragon in charge of the Akashinu. No way, Leden would have already attacked, even if Mhisty didn't know. He had his ways of explaining things. She still marveled at the fact both Irsire and Leden were hundreds of years old. When he said that he wouldn't hurt Pionee, she smiled brightly, "Thanks again."

When Leden mentioned the last village, she pouted. That day was just terrible, she actually cried for her friend. She would for anyone that she cared for got hurt, actually. "I don't like thinking about that day. But you have a point. It would be best if you don't go in." She sighed, a light bulb then flashing inside her brain. She tilted her head, her face lighting up (not literally), "Maybe you could circle around the village unseen by the villagers? You could scout for any possible trouble, seeing as you know what that trouble could look like." She knew he was the double agent for them before he got caught by that disastrous leader of the Akashinu, so he had been giving some valuable information when he could.

As they were walking, she knew they were getting closer. She glanced behind her, noticing something odd. She tilted her head and turned around. "Renth is gone." She tilted her head again, "Did he lose us?" She sighed, "Can someone go back and fetch him or something? Please?" She wouldn't mind who, but it couldn't be her, honestly. She had things to do, like get this fox into the town, see if she can get any recruits, and definitely train her fire abilities.

Pionee's small voice caught her attention, breaking her from her thoughts. She looked with amethyst eyes towards the soft creature, curious. He had a reason for smelling like dragon? She moved a hand carefully to gently touch the mutilated tummy of that fox. It had so little fur, and she believed she felt a scar. She wanted to just hug that fox to healing if she could, it was like he got caught in a dangerous claw. She smiled softly, deciding she would speak in the fox language she heard the fox speak further back, when he had barked at her to "control your wood elf." "I won't say anything. Don't worry about keeping that kind of secret. I understand when someone needs to protect themselves." Being able to understand languages, it was possibly for her to speak them.

When Pionee spoke of dragon season, she furrowed her eyebrows. She giggled, "Silly fox. He's almost always a flirt." She lifted her gaze up, wanting to put a finger on her chin, but knowing that couldn't quite happen with Pionee in her arms. "Actually, the strange thing is he hasn't done that yet." She gently stroked the top Pionee's head to the best of her ability before placing it back onto the fox's fur someplace else. "He's shown he's very loyal, I trust him. Thanks for the concern, though."

She glanced back behind her, seeing that the elf woman who wanted to be called "Vee" was indeed following them, talking with Irsire. It made her smile, actually. It was great to see peace. Looking back ahead, she was beginning to see the the village coming slowly into view through the trees.

(( The italicized words are the ones in the the fox language that Yokio spoke earlier on. If it's not italicized, it's the language everyone seems to be speaking :P ))

"Alright, sounds like a plan." Leden said. He growled a little, too low to be heard by anyone with hearing poorer than the fox's, making his irritation obvious. That stupid little thing was just trying to piss him off more, and he knew it. When it mentioned that it was his mating season, the air around Leden began to drop swiftly in temperature, the ground beneath his feet freezing.

"How dare you suggest that I would ever do something like that to Mhisty!" Leden hissed, baring his fangs at Yokio. "You insolent little pup! If it weren't for Mhisty, those words would have cost you your life! If your goal is to make trouble, then perhaps you should tell her the truth about your dragon stench! What is it you're planning? Because like hell you're getting away from me!" Leden, since it was mating season, still hadn't recognized Fume's scent itself. He had, however, realized why the fox seemed so intent on being near Mhisty. The glares it gave, the way it spread the dragon scent over her while giving Leden an evil look, and its shapeshifting abilities- he now knew who the fox was. The cunning way it tried to create a dispute, or worse, within the group, and how it always hung around the leader, feeding its lies and honeyed words into her ears were telltale signs. Leden had enough reason to hate the fox from what it had done to him before, and now it had given him more reason to want it dead. He walked over to Mhisty, seizing Yokio by his tails and holding it in front of his face.

"You- I know who you are." Leden roared, his cold blue eyes glaring into those of the fox. "You're Yokio of the Akashinu, aren't you? No lost, innocent little fox would be so intent on pissing off a dragon. I didn't recognize you at first because I never saw your true form, but you just couldn't resist trying to get your little 'revenge' on me, could you? I thought you'd had enough, convincing Fume I was up to something! It's YOUR DAMN FAULT that she found out about me! A cunning little brat like you shouldn't deserve to be alive. You're lucky it's my mating season, or I would've eaten you in a heartbeat. I didn't recognize Fume's stench on you because of it. But you had to give yourself away. You want to know just how I figured it out? Because you're trying to mess with us, and you wanted to make me do something reckless. Your little perch in her arms could've made it so easy for me to hit Mhist by accident. Hmph! You don't deserve this." With that, he dropped Yokio.

"Run." Leden snarled. "And if I ever see you again, you're a dead fox."

Yokio was shocked to say the least that Leden had been able to figure him out so quickly. Sure he probably made it easy by rubbing Talos down with the scent, but he was smarter than he gave credit for if he could figure it out, stupid as hell for becoming a traitor, but smart.

When he was grabbed by the tails, he knew that a story needed to be made up and was able to create one while he was rambling on about him and Mhisty, "Whiney little lizard. He thought to himself as he was finishing his little monologue. When he threw him on the ground, he looked up at him with pure hatred, Time to sow some seeds. he thought evilly.

He took a moment to stare down the dragon before beginning, "How dare you accuse me of being Yokio!" He started off by screaming, keeping his angry face on, "My brother turned against our Momma and me. He turned us in for that damned dragon! And you want to know what she did to me while I was locked up!?".

He, in that moment, shifted to the full burnt clawed version he showed Mhisty before. This disguise was his favorite, and took him a while to perfect. His left ear was half gone, the only fur that remained was in small spaces with large areas of healing skin. His tails were damaged greatly, with burn mark going down, leaving a ghastly look to them.

He continued to stare at Leden, but with small croc tears beginning to form. "My pelt is gone, and I am stuck looking like a monster for my entire life thanks to my brother." He stopped, tears now flooding. "I was right to warn Mhisty about you. You are just as bad as that demon dragon, and now that a creature shows me kindness, you accuse me of wanting to kill her." He was now shaking at this point due to the tears, "You are a monster, and YOU CAN BURN IN HELL!!" He shouted at the entire group, to make the point of associating with him, before swiftly turning into an eagle and flying off in the direction of the town.

Irsire laughed off Ledens comment giving him a slanted gaze “ I wouldn’t want to be that old buddy, that’s quite a age to hit. Nearly two hundred years for me, but who is counting.” Irsire told the dragon with a smile on his face. He was relieved that there was another “old guy” in the group. Though Irsire never really dwelled on his age being about a hundred years older than the people around you was still quite strange. The early years are still stamped into his head like a fresh memory, that’s the only thing that his age reminded him of. The past was something he could never let go of completely, but joining up with Mhisty did give him a greater purpose rather than wondering aimlessly in search of knowledge

Refocusing his attention on Vee as she spoke "I have to admit, you have quite an odd group here, no offense. What exactly are you recruiting for?"She sounded genuinely curious about what exactly they were doing . Irsire smiled, and he thought quickly about his answer before he gave it. “Well exactly we are recruiting for the fighting force that would take down this demonic dragon trying to take everything over.” Irsire answered her running his hands through his short grey hair “That sum’s it up, all of us have our own reasons for fighting. But its our common reason that keeps us together. Not to mention that Lady Talos is a great leader. I would extend an invitation to you to join us, but you have a forest to tend to and people to help through it.” He finished explaining to the elf.

Stopping short as Mhisty asked the group were had Renth gone off too. From Irsires perspective he was an expert in this forest so getting lost most likely wasn’t the thing at hand but non the less he would volunteer himself “I’ll find him my Lady, would you like to come with Vee? Unlike you I would get lost here, I’m not too fond of forests.” Swinging out his hand motioning her to follow Irsire made his way back in the direction in which the group had came. As he walked away he could hear Leden yelling, but exactly about what was uncertain. Whatever it was the lady was in any direct danger from the tone of his voice, from that observation Irsire carried on walking away.

Vee nodded in agreement "True, but even if you did, I still know animals that I've shown how to show the people the way as well. Vee was a few steps behind Irsire when Renth had started walking back their way. She thought it was quite funny but she kept quiet only to nod when Renth asked for Irsire to help with an excuse. It seemed that Renth didn't notice her standing there but she wouldn't embarrass him if he didn't want to be embarrassed. She only watched as the fox flew away in the form of an eagle seeing as she didn't feel like shapeshifting to chase it, she didn't have her bo with her, and she wasn't going to risk throwing her knives. She noticed Mhisty's sad look and instead of going over to comfort her she sent a comforting smile seeing as she still wasn't used to being around people.

Irsire looked to Vee with a slight smile “Then would you join our cause, it would be nice to have another to speak to,” he told her as his eyes peeked up after Renth came into view. His bow was already drawn and three arrows flew out from the bow aiming for some unseen target. Irsire peered over his shoulder watching the eagle take off separating itself from where the group was stationed at. “Do you get lost easily Renth?” Irsire commented mocking the elf with a smile, he could see the embarrassment written all over his face to Irsire it was amusing to watch . “It wouldn’t be a problem for me to cover you, just try to stick with our lady closely from now on,” Irsire turned away and made his way back to the group walking beside Renth.

Irsire ignored his comments about killing the fox, if he didn’t find it to be a danger to Lady Talos then he didn’t mind the fact that it was breathing. But Irsire listened closely to Renth’s speech, carefully analyzing every word that was said. Renth proved a great point if everyone would be on this team they would have to work together and act as a unit, putting their complete trust into the one standing beside them. Irsire cleared his throat and spoke up “I agree with Renth, we are going to have to listen and trust the words of one another. We have to work fully as a unit, I trust Lady... Mhisty with my life and I trust her decision making but I will tell her if I find something wrong with the situation,” He dropped his last words along with his hood revealing his glowing red eyes.

He made his way over to Mhisty who was being held by Leden, “I will see our quest out until the end. I will serve you may Lady,” Irsire said to her with a smile. He yawned, and walked towards the town. He felt demonic energy in the area and sighed, and dozens of thoughts flashing through his head. Another demon I’ll tell the lady once we arrive, there would be no purpose to rise alarm. “Let’s go guys”

Vee stayed silent for a minute as she was thinking. Join their cause, or go back home while they fight to keep the land free? Hm, joining them it is then. "Alright, I'll join. Besides, I doubt the demonic will leave the woods standing seeing as Faeries and Elves must live there as well as some nature spirits. And I would never sit back and relax as there are others that are fighting to keep the land free." She smiled then listened to what Renth said, thinking over it and nodding.

"I agree as well. From the few moments I have walked with you and from what Irsire has told me, you are all great beings being led by a great leader. I trust you with my life and I will help along this quest to the most of my abilities. I serve you." As she said this she timidly pulled her hood away from her head, there was no point in keeping her face hidden if she were to gain their complete trust as a new part of their group. She smiled shyly, seeing as she hadn't let another non-animal being see her face since her mother had died. Before she spoke again she lowered her head. "And, well, there's something you all should know about me. I can talk to animals and partially shapeshift. On full moons, only if my emotions are strong, I tend to freak out and use the elements." She wasn't thrilled that she had to tell them of her abilities but again, it's a way of gaining trust. Plus the upcoming night would be a full moon, she just wanted to warn them so she wouldn't accidentally harm them. She slightly lifted her head as she continued walking to see what the others' reactions would be.

Irsire's words of loyalty had made Renth a bit jealous. Why couldn't he talk like that. From him everything was just orders or facts or stuff to be analyzed. No personality could be found in him except for protection, and that was a stretch. Of course Irsire's beautiful speech was countered with his teasing, which made him of a joking personlity, while still being able to be serious.
Are you kidding me? You just met him. You don't know people, you've lived alone in the forest half your life.
He picked up the deer and walked straight through the group, following the path of the fox. He turned around to see Leden in an embrace with Mhisty, then tried to turn around nonchalantly. Awkward isn't it. You're reading to much into it though. They're probably old friends. The scary fact that the fox was not alone kicked in. They should probably get to the town quickly.

"We should make it to the town as soon as possible, we can't be sure if that thing was alone. Irsire, Vee, you stay with Mhisty. Leden, would you mind giving us a dragons eye view? I'll be on the ground scouting ahead." He turned to Mhisty with one question that would have to be answered. "What way are we going boss?"

Mhisty Talos

Mhisty blinked when she was suddenly embraced by Leden. Due to the fact her body temperature was way higher than she usually kept it, she was surprised that he could even come anywhere near her. She quickly dialed down the heat enough to not injure him. They did need him after all.

She smiled, hugging Leden back for the moment, "Thanks Len." She finally came up with a nickname for Leden. She thought it was cute, to say the least. When Irsire walked towards her and Len, she squirmed lightly out of Leden's arms, giving him a quick glance and smile, before hugging Irsire as well, "You're awesome. By the way, enough of the "serving". It makes me sound like I own you." She giggled, teasing, releasing Irsire from her gentle grip.

When Vee had said she'd join, Mhisty knew what she was talking about. She had heard Irsire ask Vee if she wanted to join. Mhisty turned her body to face the other female elf, watching her pull off her hood. She was beautiful, and she had seemed timid about removing the hood. When the woman mentioned she could talk to animals, Mhisty smiled more, "I can too. Yay, I'm not alone!" She couldn't help it. She walked up to Vee and wrapped her arms around her lightly as well, "Thanks, Vee. And don't worry about it. I'm sure we can handle if something goes wrong. Like what just did with the lying fox." She released her almost as soon as she had hugged her. Thanks to Leden, he just had to get her hugging everybody. "Because I feel you should also know, I control fire. But that's about it besides understanding any language."

Mhisty turned towards Renth, looking at him carefully. He seemed reserved to himself for right now, so she wasn't sure how he'd respond to a hug from her. She took a deep breath, knowing Ren was probably right about the fact the fox was not alone. They would have to be on alert now. She walked over towards the front, turning to see everyone.

"Thanks Ren, I like the idea, but I think there may have to be some changes. Irsire, I trust you can be the eyes in the back of my head? Vee, seeing as you are new, I feel that maybe you could hang with Irs and I, and we could explain some things. Unless, of course, you really don't want to go into the village, you could go hang with Renth and scout with him. Renth, scout around the village about maybe... a mile out. With your keen senses, I'm sure you'd be able to notice something. Sorry Renth, but I think Len flying in the sky would be a bad idea around here. He could get shot with something. People around this area don't typically care for dragons." She knew about his weakness, the belly. She didn't think anyone else did though. She looked over at the dragon man, smiling, "Although, I do trust your super awesome eyesight. See if you could find a very high point and keep a lookout there? A tree may be your best best."

She sighed, shaking her head lightly, the blond hair moving whatever way it cared for, and turned to face the village. It seemed small, but not the smallest she's seen. She glanced back, "Take care to anyone who is not going to be going in with us." She smiled, and walked ahead, seeing a rusty shell of what once belonged to the humans back when they were around, overgrown with wildlife (a rusty car).

"I trust you will as well, Mhist." Leden said. Len? He smiled a bit. He liked the nickname, and he was sure that Mhisty was pleased for finally coming up with a nickname for him. She had always been frustrated that his name was hard to make one for. As he walked away from the group, he whispered something softly to no one in particular, fully aware that nobody would hear him.

"Stay safe, Mhist." Leden said. "If something happened to you, I don't know what I'd do." Leden didn't particularly like thinking about life without Mhisty. He feared that if they parted ways, which he assumed would happen after they destroyed the Akashinu, he'd revert back to his instinctive behavior. He didn't like destroying things, but it's quite addictive to dragons. The thrill of the fight... "No, don't think of that. You can't go back to being a monster." He thought, finding a suitable perch. He flew up into a rather tall tree, looking out from its highest branches. Fortunately for him, the upper branches had no leaves, giving him a perfect view. He sat in the branches, thoughts racing through his mind as he kept watch.

Why had he let Yokio go? That stupid brat was sure to go right to Fume. A fight with the Akashinu would be inevitable at this point, and Leden knew it. Yokio knew they were going against Fume, and that Leden was with them. Fume would surely hunt them. No doubt Nora would be there too. Leden had already become accustomed to the smells of the area, and anything out of the ordinary would be much easier to detect now. But the wind had yet to carry the scent of a dragon, phoenix, or a fox that clearly kept its face too close to a dragon's backside. If Leden were to detect the scent of an Akashinu, how would he alert Mhisty? More importantly, how would he get the innocent bystanders to safety? The villagers would not be pleased with a dragon rushing into town, telling them to evacuate their homes if they wanted to live. What if he couldn't get word to them in time? Leden shook his head, chasing away unwanted thoughts. He would do everything in his power to keep the village safe, and his allies as well. More importantly, he would keep Mhisty safe, even if it cost him his life.

Mating season was quite the nuisance. He was always prepared to die to protect his allies, if need be. Why did the elf so quickly come to mind? Leden assumed it was his instincts, ignoring the voice in his mind pointing out that it really only applied to other dragons, not elves. Leden sighed, wishing he could just get the mating season over with and go back to his usual self, and get rid of those pesky thoughts. With a small shudder, Leden thought back to the times he had managed to go into a village and mingle with others. Back when Nora was around to help him hide his dragon traits with a bit of her own magic. She never approved of his flirting, and he still had a few scars on his back to remind him of that. But he didn't care, because he wasn't 'shirking off his duties', as she always said, because he hadn't been the least bit loyal to Fume anyway. Leden knew he could hide his dragon features if he wanted, but he preferred to let them show. It required much less effort, and it kept him away from the bars with alcohol and beautiful girls. He didn't know how well he'd be able to hold himself back. Flirting was a given, but getting drunk during his mating season could easily cause him to kill someone, whether it was in a bar fight or the bedroom. Dragons were brutal compared to the fragile creatures that stayed in villages, and his immense strength could have easily resulted in someone's death if he wasn't careful. If Mhisty didn't have her fire manipulation, Leden could have accidentally broken her spine, or worse, in that simple embrace. He really did hate being a dragon sometimes.

Leden sighed, forcing the thoughts from his mind and focusing on keeping watch.

Irsire was caught off guard by Mhisty’s soft embrace, he smiled as her arms around him."You're awesome. By the way, enough of the "serving". It makes me sound like I own you." She giggled, Irsire knew she was teasing him about is disposition towards her. He even chuckled a bit “I’ve already been owned it’s not nice,” he countered with a joke. Irsire knew Mhisty wasn’t too keen to his formality’s, but stopping them was pretty hard for him to do since his time was more centered around the kind and formal approach. Mhisty had made her way over to Vee speaking excitedly to the elf about their similarity in powers. Then she quickly made her way to the front of the group turning and grasping the attention of the rest of the members

People around this area don't typically care for dragons."

Her statements were quick and to the point giving a few second options of people were not ready for that task. Irsire was glad he would be keeping Mhisty company he needed to tell her about the demonic energy he felt anyway. It was important enough but it could wait till they got into town. If Vee was too tag along it would be ideal, the more she was informed the better he was worried about not getting everything settled in a quick fashion, the faster they were organized the quicker they would be able to strike.

Lady Talos put trust in the scouting ability of Renth, that was enough for Irsire to do the same with a yawn he spat out a few comments “Renth, try not to get lost out there,” he said with a laugh then looking to Leden “you should take this, I’ll be able to contact and find you with it so don’t worry about getting to us,” Irsire told the elf throwing a small black orb to him. Wrapping up what he had to say Irsire turned towards Lady Talos and set off walking beside her as they got closer to the town he spoke. “There is a demon around this area, I don’t know exactly where but I can feel that its close we need to be careful. I cannot make-out how powerful it is from such a distance, I wanted to notify you first before telling the others and possibly making a big deal out of nothing."

Vee watched and listened as Mhisty went around the group. Looking down she waited for what her mind made her think was hours but was really only seconds and she heard Mhisty saying "I can too. Yay, I'm not alone!" and tried to hug back when she felt Mhisty's warm grip around herself though her attempts were futile seeing as her arms were trapped to her sides by Mhisty's. She smiled as Mhisty continued, "Thanks, Vee. And don't worry about it. I'm sure we can handle if something goes wrong. Like what just did with the lying fox." Vee was released from Mhisty's grip yet she continued. "Because I feel you should also know, I control fire. But that's about it besides understanding any language."

Vee nodded with a relieved smile, "Thats good to know and really great." She felt different, probably because she was accepted so quickly into a group she barely knew yet felt she knew quite a bit already. Mhisty is an elf that controls fire and is the leader of the Shira-yuri, Leden is a dragon that can take on a human form and seems to be a bit flirty, Renth is a quiet elf that probably makes a living off of hunting, but Irsire... I don't know what he is. He is kind and loyal to his cause though. She looked curiously over at Irsire for a moment before turning her attention back to Mhisty who was speaking.

"Thanks Ren, I like the idea, but I think there may have to be some changes. Irsire, I trust you can be the eyes in the back of my head? Vee, seeing as you are new, I feel that maybe you could hang with Irs and I, and we could explain some things. Unless, of course, you really don't want to go into the village, you could go hang with Renth and scout with him." Vee listened to the rest of the plan as she thought over her options her head. Coming to a decision she spoke up to Mhisty, "Although scouting around the village sounds interesting I think I'd be better off with the first option. I'll go with you and Irsire to pick up on whatever things you feel you should tell me. Maybe I'll go hang out with Renth next time when I'm more caught up." She walked up next to Mhisty and Irsire as they traveled into town.

"Thanks Ren, I like the idea, but I think there may have to be some changes"
Well, she was the leader, it was her job to know how to well, lead.
"I still get the forest then. Sweet" Renth mumbled in elvish, instead of common.

“Renth, try not to get lost out there," Irsire joked. Renth turned around just in time to catch the ball in a simple, outstretched arm. He pocketed it, catching a glimpse of Vee. Whoa I should leave now to avoid me looking like a complete idiot.. He nimbly danced his way across the edges of some metal contraption from Human times, jumping off of the top to grab the branch of a tree. His other arm strained by the weight of the deer he had been carrying. He threw it up over his shoulder and started jogging across the branches, careful not to slip like this morning.
He stopped as he reached the edge of the forest, looking at the quaint little town. He couldn't remember the name of it for the life of him, but he remembered that the particular butcher had a liking to black berries and apples. Renth checked his bag, only to find blueberries and wild strawberries. It might be good if he ran into some children but other than that, he was going to get standard cuts. Oh well. Half of the deer meat and twenty gold coins were enough to get by. The horns were what he cared about though. Maybe he could take up learning to play the flute. You're not serious right? or maybe not. Either way, they were going to sell for a *lot* more than twenty coins.

Making his way down he saw the usual common-folk that resided in these towns. They all contributed to the society, and their home prospered because of it. Take a right here. He turned to see the Inn and the bar. Renth never cared for that sort of thing much. Mostly because of his nice little home, and the repugnance of most places in the evenings kept him far away from society. And a left here. He turned to see an avenue that he had walked down many a time before. The butchers was the third store on the right, and the water fountain was at the end of the avenue in a cul-de-sac. He walked into the shop, the smell of blood, meat, various salts, spices, and...was that honey?
"Well hello there Ranger!" the shopkeeper said, a bulky man with a stained apron, and a firm grip on his hefty meat cleaver,"It's nice to see you again! Whose you friend there?"
Renth dropped the Deer on the counter. "Buck, five point tips, Healthy as far as i know. Arrow puncture here,"He pointed at the small indent in the deers fur, a small opening that probably went two or three inches deep, "And usual place for the hunters mark" He turned the head, showing a larger, but still clean slit at the deers throat.
"So what's my cut?" The butcher asked.
Since Renth didn't have the money to actually pay the butcher, and he couldn't eat an entire deer before it would spoil, he would give a good sized percentage of the meet to the butcher. "Standard. I'll take the Rack and the Haunches, you take everything else. Plus twenty gold thank you." Renth stuck his hand out for the agreement to be solidified with a good handshake." Oh and I'd like the skull with the Horns. Wasn't easy carrying that thing all the way here."
"Alright sir, it'll be done in half a days time." The Butcher stuck his hand and they shook on it.
"Thank you"Renth said as he turned around and walked out of the shop. Now his job was to scan for suspicion and root it out if any, and if need be send for back up.

Mhisty Talos

Mhisty was ecstatic with how things were now going, the fox issue already pushed to the back of her mind. She didn't like to let one thing bother her for too long. She believed Leden already had his position in place, and Renth was on his way to do his part as well. Irsire and Vee were going to be sticking with her, to get the recruiting done. The best place always seemed to be the taverns; she just had to be careful of the ones who had a tendency to drink too much.

When Irsire was beside her, she heard him say some things about a demonic aura being nearby. "Thanks, Irsire. For both not getting everyone upset, and for telling me. We'll keep a closer eye out for sure. Let me know if you feel anything different about this creature." She didn't really wish to say demon out in the village, so she disguised it with that word 'creature.'

She glanced around, looking at the buildings around them, mostly small for sure. She moved her purple gaze over to Vee and smiled, "Thanks again for joining, Vee. I find it great to have you in with us. I don't like conflict much, which, yeah I know, is ironic, but I'd like to keep my freedom more than avoiding the inevitable conflict. I've heard some things about the leader and the second hating us elves and the faeries. Anyways, If I give an option for you to do, obviously choose what you want. If I give you something do to that you're not confident in or of the sort, please tell me, and we may be able to work something out. If you have any questions, feel free to ask."

Up ahead, she believed she seen a tavern bustling with some activity. What a great place to head into, it seemed. "Hey, how's the tavern to go ask?"

Irsire peered over, looking to Lady Talos “I’ll do what I can, to figure out exactly what type of demon it is would to be too hard to figure out from where we are standing. I’ll also notify you if the strength of the energy increases,” He had no problem throwing around the word, although the word demon was essentially demonized. From his perspective nearly everyone hated demons, half breeds and ones tainted by demons all the same. His kind has been hunted even after the wars were over and the demons that would cross between worlds were dealt with. Only Mhisty actually accepted him for who he really was, his own mother didn’t want anything to do with him at first. But the Lady Talos accepted him, and that was enough for him to follow her leadership.

From Irsire’s point of view, the town was a run of the mill small trading village. Bars for the drunk and Inn’s for the traders. Nothing within the town was very interesting, normally he would check out the blacksmiths to do some repairs he was short on gold and the blade Disire was doing just fine. Looking towards one of the taverns that Mhisty pointed out Irsire spoke up once again “Seems like a good start, I’ll try my best to keep calm around the locals,” he walked ahead and opened the door walking in before Mhisty to insure that it was calm.

Clam wasn’t the greatest thing to be expecting when walking inside of a tavern, it was quite loud with tales of dragon slaying and adventures going about mugs of ale being passed from the bar keep down to the other end. At first sight it was amusing, drunken men telling tall tales about things they have heard in stories. Irsire didn’t hate being inside bar’s but he sure did dislike the environment, by this hour he was sure to at least seen one or two brawls but it was relatively calm which he enjoyed. Irsire turned back to Mhisty with a grin “Well apparently we have some dragon slayers about,” he told her laughing softly and motioning her and Vee to join him inside.

Vee had been listening intently and nodded in response to Mhisty. "I'm honored to join your band of merry men. I also have to agree with you on the 'conflict and freedom' subject, freedom is more important to most people than they realize." She paused to pull a loose strand of hair away from her eyes. "And thanks for letting me know that, I will tell you if I'm uncomfortable with anything when the need comes."

Vee peeked into the tavern from over Irsire's shoulder and thought, Well this like a quaint little place, you just have to ignore the drunks, the smell, the noise, and the grime. Then it would be quite nice. She just hoped a bar fight wouldn't start up while they were there, she already felt uncomfortable enought about having her hood down in the village anyway but she wanted change so she kept it down. When she walked in she heard Irsire saying "Well, apparently we have some dragon slayters about." She thought back to how her father, Bregolian Taurvantian, had died to a dragon's claws and her brother, Thalion Taurvantian, had avenged their father's death. But he had died of his wounds when he made it to the edge of the wood. These thoughts made her heart ache and frown as well as quietly ask, "Are there any names floating around like Bregolion, Thalion or possibly even Taurvantian?"

Vee’s soft tone cought Irsire off guard glancing over his shoulder he spoke “These drunken men are only speaking tall tales of themselves, but the men you speak of could be the real hero’s of these stories. Why did you know them personally?” Irsire wasn’t trying to prod at anything that was too personal at a time or place like this, it was crowded, dank and dark. It was a simple inquire and a way to establish more of a trusting relationship with the elf. Walking further in scanning the room briefly clearing his throat, drawing Disire from its sheath and thrusting it into the ground to grab the attention of the room. Surging a small bit of lightning into the blade, then returning it to its resting place by his side.

“Now that I have the attention of you fine fellows, my companions and I have a request for anyone who would like to seek for the continued freedom for every living creature. As some may know, there is a demonic dragon reeking havoc seeking the control of all living things. Which leads to a problem that we all share, being subject to a power like that crushes freedom where it stands and us the Shinra-yuri are attempting to stop said power. Any Questions feel free to speak to me or the fair Lady Talos. Be respectful or I’ll run my blade through you,” Irsire finished with a yawn, finding a seat and taking it. As he relaxed he felt the thoughts of Renth be transmitted through the orb he gave him earlier.

“Renth, we are in a tavern gathering recruits. For starters only I can hear you unless I hold the lady directly, and just think about speaking to me while holding the orb and we will be able to communicate fine. Don’t lose the orb, it takes a while to make new ones so hold on to it closely.” Irsire told him, shaking his head away from the thoughts coupled with controlling the darkness.

Mhisty Talos

Mhisty trusted Irsire, even with her life. Any other person, she doubted ever would trust him. As they came closer to the tavern, Mhisty could hear the drunkards rambling on, and shouts here and there. It never bothered her, though it seemed to bother most elves. She glanced over to Vee, although Mhisty wasn't quite sure she knew how the female elf felt. When Irsire stepped in, she walked into the doorway, hearing some things about dragons here and there. She frowned slightly, "They just don't understand..." Not all dragons were evil creatures, not all were beasts. They had such a bad name attached to them, and she found it not fair.

The names Vee mentioned, Mhisty has never heard of. She tried to focus her hearing, but to be honest, her hearing wasn't as acute as some other elves. Thankfully, Irsire responded to Vee.

Mhisty stepped up beside Irsire, slightly behind, as he was the main speaker. He was always great about gathering the attention of others. She bumped Irsire with a light hand when he said that thing about running his blade through people, "Irsire, that's not a... good thing. If they don't respect me, that's their choice."

Mhisty swept her gaze around the room. Some of the looks made her feel uncomfortable, but that's how it is in taverns. Shifting the weight on her feet, she noticed a man come up to them. He definitely seemed timid, but those sort of things can be fooling. When this man, who introduced himself as Vosro, said he wished to join the Shira-yuri, she smiled brightly. She noticed the stripes upon him. She's checked out some books in some other areas, and found an interesting thing about those marks. A Drasican, a magic user. Gleeful, she took his hands in hers, making sure to lower her temperature; she didn't want to freak the man out. "I don't see why not! You seem to be a great guy."

She glanced back to Irsire, who was now sitting, wondering what he could be thinking about. She looked around to find Vee. She preferred to keep tabs on where her friends were, as it could be necessary.

Vee let Irsire finish his speech to the others in the tavern then nodded and sighed sadly as she slid into a seat at his table, "Bregolion was my father, I knew of him only because my mother told me about him. He died while trying to defeat a dragon that was terrorizing this surrounding area. Thalion was my brother, we were very close as children. He avenged my father's death by hunting down the dragon and killing it but he died of his wounds before he reached home. Taurvantian is only my last name." She could tell Irsire wasn't trying to get into things that are too personal for her liking but she didn't mind. They were part of the same affiliation, in order for the group to work together completely like Renth had said, they'd have to get to know and trust eachother.

The sudden appearance of the man startled her, making her flinch in her seat. When he asked if they were the Sira-yuri and stated that he would like to join she settled down and smiled kindly at the stuttering man. He seemed to act so timid and that might throw some people off but the stripes, as her mother had once told her, meant power. She didn't know what kind of power but she knew it was to be respected and not underestimated. She was amused by Vosro's display of nervousness when Mhisty took is hands and smiled to try and calm him.
