How I act? || [Well, I'm told I'm rather poison-tongued. I can be needy, as well, but I would never admit that. My moods are vulnerable to changing spur-of-the-moment. I'm also rather 'dark', it seems. I'm distant and introverted. Honestly, I don't care what you have to say unless it benefits or harms me. If I feel strongly about something, you'll know it. I have a good brain in my head, and I use it - unlike you other idiots. I enjoy seeing others miserable. Sadistic? Maybe so.~]
My past? || [Born on a particularly cold Winter day, the first thing Naku knew was the sting of snow against his skin. His mother, who had been homeless at the time, had given birth to him herself in an alley - considering she had no health-care to speak of. He grew up in the slums, learning early to leech off of others, unaware of the dependence that others would put on him in the future. His mother later went on to die of pneumonia and his father had left long ago, more concerned with his own survival than his son's. Not long after his 10th birthday, Naku was captured by the police and detained for a petty theft crime. He wasn't allowed to leave until someone came to bail him out. He'd expected no one, in all honesty. He had no living relatives, as far as he knew. But it was then that a servant of the Sohma family's main household showed up. She then proceeded to blather on about something about him being a "god", or something-rather. He didn't really care one way, or the other. If the woman could get him free again, he didn't care if she grew three heads.
So, it was thus that the new God was brought back to the main manor. Upon his arrival, people threw themselves at his feet and cried tears of happiness. And Naku's first appraisal was what he soon began to think of everyone around him - they were inferior and pathetic, especially the, Cat . Nothing more than toys to be disposed of, yet each one was his.
Naku settled into his new life nicely. He was spoiled, tittered over, and well-fed. There was no need for worry about where he was going to get his next meal. Nothing. All of that was through. Occasionally, odd people called "Juunishi" {sp?} would visit him. They would come, shed a few tears after the first meeting, and then go - only to return in the future at a later date. Naku was disconnected, however. He couldn't care less about these inferior beings. They were stupid, ugly, and a pain to deal with. All except for one, however. The man whom others referred to as "the Dragon" was the one that affected Naku the most. He'd felt a special bond between them since the day they'd met. The servants chattered about some ancient legend and how the dragon held a special place in God's heart, since he'd been the last one by his side. It was only natural, they said, that Naku would come to seek comfort and compassion from him.
But, just as the others had, the Dragon left, as well. God was all alone, once more.
Naku locked himself in his room, allowing servants to meagerly slide food through a slat. The only two people that are ever allowed to enter his room is the Cat and the Dragon.
The Cat, Naku allowed in because he felt contempt for the creature. It was the only thing he considered to be more miserable than himself - a puny being too insignificant, even, to have been granted a spot in the zodiac. The Cat was also a traitor, he'd been told. Or so said the legend of the Zodiac. Naku didn't put much stock in the stupid childrens' story, but it felt pleasant to torture something and demean something to the point of it being lower than himself.
His "beloved" Toys, as it stood, would certainly be "welcomed" any time into his presence. And, although he scarcely showed himself, Naku cherished" the times when he would.
As he grew into adulthood, Naku began to open back up, bit-by-bit. He was usually in a terrible mood, however, unless Yuusei {the dragon} had visited him that day. He began to allow others in to see him. Now, he's 19 years old. And his mission? Well, that'd be to punish the Zodiac for leaving him all alone those many years ago...]
