Kendra Marie Lester's Story

Kendra slowed down to his speed, and savored every second her lips met his, loving every second.

She had longed for this so long, that it felt like it was all one big dream, she was just never wanting to wake up from. Every second with Kyle was like a heaven-sent miracle to her, but.. she, deep down, still felt a longing for Tyler to tell her one last time, that he loved her and their daughter. She'd always have this longing, she'll just have to learn to push it down, with other feelings she's chosen to ignore, like her hatred of Summer for stealing Kyle from her as Kendra made her move.

Her hand went up his neck, and rested on the back of his neck. She kissed him as strongly as he did her.

"Hmm?" She looked back into his, smiling slightly, and looking over his features.

"Kendra had just screwed up her relationship with Kyle, Summer's whole love life, and possibly Kyle's. She started to cry again, turned into the nothingness she wished she was. Tristen couldn't comfort her, Zoe would just go beat Kyle and Summer to a pulp, so she went down the hallway, and out onto the balcony that was connected to all the apartments on her floor. She stayed at the end she came in through, and looked down over the railing.



She sank down the wall, and buried her head. Kendra sucked at relationships, and it was starting to show, if it wasn't clear earlier, since the father of her child ran out on her. She cried to her heart's emotions, feeling like a tossed bone, that not even the stray dog that lived alone in the alley wanted.

She hadn't kissed anyone besides Tyler before, and she meant it when she kissed Kyle. She honestly did. Kendra liked him a lot, if not loved him. Tristen looked up to him as a father figure. He was perfect in her eyes, and Tristen's. Maybe one day, she'd have more kids, with a father around. But, then Tyler came to mind. She still loved him. She HAD to find out where he was honestly, before she could do anything.... with anyone. Kendra hoped that Tyler would come around soon. She needed to find him...

"Maybe it's for the best..." Kendra leaned her head back against the wall, and looked up into the starry night. She wished she could be a star.

Maybe it was for the best. Maybe they weren't meant to be.

Kendra was re-evaluating her life from a different angle... or trying to, at least. She had feelings for Kyle, definitely. Almost to the point that when they were together, she didn't even know a 'Tyler Martins'.

Maybe Kyle was supposed to be with Summer, and she was meant to be with Tyler, her first and forever love. But.. if that were true, why was Piper with him instead? Why wasn't he taking them to that make-believe castle, and loving them for eternities to come? Where was he?





Kendra sighed, and sat up, looking around her.



There were bright city lights all around her, lighting up every single inch of New York. She'd be okay. She felt... relaxed, and threw a bottle of Jack Daniel's she had over the side confidently.

Kendra walked inside the building, her face tear-stained, and in mid-swipe to her eyes, when she heard the all too familiar voice of her enraged sister. "Zoe!" She waved, and tried to slow her down. "Zoe, I'm right here! " She saw the look on her face. "And I'm fine." She said proudly, smiling at her sister. Kendra stood tall, her chin up, and ready to take on whatever it was that faced her next.


Sure, on the inside she felt like a heap of nothingness, and constantly crying, and getting drunk, and then murdering Summer for "taking her man", and all this other crazy heart-broken stuff, but, she was going to make it, she realized.




Yes, it's going to take her a while to get used to a man she had feelings for, not be with her, all the time anymore. Tristen was going to have alot of questions, and confusion, and Kendra needed to be the mother she needed.

Sometimes, Zoe really did make her think she'd blackmail her, and in one breath she said,

"Kyle likes Summer now, and I don't think I'll ever find love again, and Tyler is gone, I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing, and why do you always say that?"

Kendra sighed sadly, and laid her head on her sister's shoulder. Zoe was nice, and a comforting sister when she wanted to be.

Kendra smiled at Zoe, and lifted her head, after what she thought, was the cheesiest speech her sister had given so far. "Haha, how long did it take you with that one? A minute?" Kendra laughed, and kissed her sister's cheek.

"Where's Kyle?" She silently thought to herself, and looked down the hall, searching.



Kendra felt her palms grow warm fast, and start to sweat, as she rubbed them on her jeans. Her heart was racing, and she could hear her heartbeat almost. "Have you seen Kyle or Summer?" She looked at Zoe, very calmly.

Kendra walked down the hall to Summer's apartment, and knocked on her door. "Summer? Are you-" She'd opened the door out of habit, and walked straight into their "moment."



She felt her whole body go numb in that second, and she clenched the doorknob tightly. All she could manage was a slight whimper before leaving, and slamming the door behind her. The tears rushed out of her eyes, and down her cheeks, and she went back to Zoe.



"Z-zoe.." She pointed to Summer's apartment. "I found them."

Kendra was out in the hallway, not crying, but close to it. She sat on the floor, after sliding down the wall between her and Summer's apartments. She didn't know how to feel, how to... anything, really.

One thing she did know, was that she wanted her friends to be happy. Happiness was something she probably couldn't give Kyle, like Summer could, and he deserved that.

She ran her fingers through her hair, and sighed.

"Why can't I just stay out of love?"

"Zoe.. what do I do?"



Kendra didn't know what else to say. She still had feelings for Tyler, but he'd seem to just run away. So, she was trying to get over him when she met Kyle, and now Kyle was her focus.

She wanted the best for Tristen, which would probably be get Tyler back, but that was going to happen, so, she tried to get what she wanted.

But..
What she wanted was in there kissing on who she thought was a good friend.

Kendra growled, and cried. "I loved him. I loved all of him!"

She got up, and went down the stairs outside to the dumpsters, and dug out the Jack Daniel's she threw down there. "I'm sorry." She whispered, and chugged it down.

Kendra was a little dizzy from Zoe spinning her around, and frowned as she poured out the alcohol.

What Zoe told her always made her motivated, and she ran to the front of the building. "Kyle? Kyle!"

Kendra walked in front of him, and lifted his head up with her finger, and kissed him softly. "I'll always love you." She whispered, then started to leave.



"But, I can't give you what you want. I know you want happiness, and trouble follows me where ever I go. I know you want kids, and Tristen's not even yours. I know you want a beautiful wife, and I'm not that." She looked up at him, tears clouding her vision. "Your best bet is.." She looked down, turning her back to him. "Your best bet is to forget me, before I cause you anymore pain." She bit her lip, the tears streaming her face, like a waterfall.



Sure, she loved Kyle. But she knew if he married her, which she knew would eventually follow, then he'd be living hell to what he could have with Summer. They could have babies, and be that perfect family.....

That Kendra, Tristen, and Tyler never will be.

"I know you think I haven't moved on past Tyler, Kyle. And.. I have. I so have. " She paused, and swallowed. "But once I moved on, I got heartbroken... again. " She said with a heavy sigh. "I can't go through another baby. I can't go through everything alone again. I just... I don't want you tangled up in what I got myself in. I love you more than the world. But with love comes sacrifice, and I know you won't find happiness here. Not with me..."

" I hope I can be that girl you remember, but can't quite place my name. You knew you loved her, but, she did was best for you both, and saved you from sacrifices you weren't ready to make. That she put you back on the right track, and saved the entire course of your future, by simply saying one word."

"Goodbye."

Those were her last words.

She walked away under the faded street lights, fading into the darkness as if she'd never existed to him.

Kendra Marie Lester was hidden from the world now. Determined to make her stand against the hell she'd been living.
