Description

Image
Name: Amadeus Hughes
Age: 31
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 165 lbs
History: Like most nobles, Amadeus was born into a family of aristocrats. His father was Baron Hugh Webb, a very powerful, well known man. Because of his social class, Amadeus lived a luxurious, sheltered life and always got whatever he wanted throughout his childhood. When he was seven, he entered training to become a knight. He was always the best among all of the other boys in training, a fact which made Amadeus a very proud boy. When he was eleven, he became a squire, which astonished quite a few people, since most pages became squires around their fourteenth birthday. On the day of his twenty-first birthday, Amadeus became a knight.

After becoming a knight, Amadeus returned to the family estate. He lived there, working under his father for a few years. Shortly after turning twenty-five, Amadeus was given the position of being the baron, his father giving up his position due to his old age. Amadeus was a good leader, and he was liked by most of the people on the estates due to the fact that he would treat just about everyone, even the lowest of serfs, with kindness and generosity.

Just recently, his father fell ill. When he was laying on his deathbed, he revealed the secret society of the Fairy Hunters to Amadeus. Amadeus then discovered that every male in the family for the past few hundred years had been a Fairy Hunter, and that he was destined to become one as well. Amadeus accepted this position, with a slight sense of annoyance that his father had not told him earlier. This annoyance soon morphed into grief when his father died shortly after revealing all Amadeus needed to know about the Fairy Hunters. Now, he is doing his best at being a hunter and becoming just as powerful, and perhaps even more powerful, than his father.
Noticeable markings/scars: None, due to the fact that he lived a very sheltered life since he was of noble birth.
Fighting Style: Swordsman, due to his training as a knight. Amadeus is also fairly decent at hand-to-hand combat, but he does not like to engage in it, thinking it an inferior fighting style. Still, if he finds himself without a weapon, he certainly will do whatever it takes to save his life, even if it does mean fighting with a style that he is not fond of.
Social Status: Baron through family, knight through his own work.
Previous Occupation: Amadeus' occupation and social class often tended to blend together. He was a baron, which meant he had all the duties of a baron: Running an estate, making sure the serfs working on the estate are cared for, and serving in the king's army. So, in a way, his previous occupation was the exact same thing as his social status. One could consider him to be a knight, since he has received training to be one due to his heritage, but Amadeus doesn't actually work as a soldier for a living.

Amadeus strolled down the streets of the city, trying desperately to not let his clothes drag in any mud or puddles. That would just look so, so awful. For Pete's sake, it would make him look like a peasant! Amadeus was nice for a noble, but he was still a noble, and that made all the difference. He may have treated peasants with a general sense of decency, but that certainly didn't stop him from being arrogant and wanting to retain the good image of his class. He was nice, but only to a certain extent.

He arrived at the guild's home, or at least what was said to be their home. They had said this was where he should arrive for the meeting. Personally, Amadeus found it a rather bland building. It looked just like any other pub. He had personally thought it would be a bit more... impressive. Sure, the guild was technically supposed to be a secret organization, but, still. Couldn't they at least buy a building that looked like something other than your average pub for peasants?

His distaste only grew as he walked into the pub. It was completely filled with peasants. Amadeus had not been expecting that. This was a guild, for Pete's sake! He had been expecting nobles, or at least middle-class people. Not peasants! Surely he had to be in the wrong place. Hesitantly, he walked over to the bar, cringing slightly as he brushed off the bar stool before sitting down. Why was he even staying here? He should be heading off to his home, not staying in some shabby pub for peasants. Deep down, he knew why he was there, though. He was curious, suffering from a case of curiosity that could only be sated with answers.
