Introduction
In the Wastes there is little a person can survive alone without becoming a very mean son of a bitch. It is even harder to go from being that mean SOB to trying to help others. this is the story of no such situation it is actually the story of a pair of people who are fighting their way across California to the strip in Nevada to try and deliver a message. these are the individuals. (Then after the character sheets are posted I'll put them here.)

I sat at the old burned out church a few dead super mutants on the ground in front of me. "Well hell now more will come looking." I said packing up what was left of my Brahmin steak. I then started towards the lake nearby to try to lose the large green morons that were surely following me.
They were coming, I could hear them as I ran down the path. It had been a stupid idea to try and get supplies in such a crowded place, someone was just going to knock the scarf and let my ears be seen... I gasp out as I heard distant shouting and picked up my pace. Pausing I looked out at the vast lake I found myself in front of, frozen for a second as I tried to figure out what to do next.
Another shout and I didnt even think before jumping into the water and letting myself sink to the bottom. I stayed still as I watched the men moved past my hiding place without pausing and continuing down the road.
Gasping for air I broken the surface and pulled myself back onto the lakes shore.

I gave a sigh and heard a splash. I drew my pistol and aimed at the water looking for the giant mutant crabs called mirlurks. But when nothing moved I decided to hide thinking somebody had noticed me I ducked between some very large rocks.
I pushed myself from the shore, and paused as I looked after where the men had disappeared to. "Too Close..." I sighed to myself, glaring down at my now wet cloths. "Great, I hate traveling in wet clothing...", Another Sigh as she shock her head. These were currently the only cloths I had and if I wanted to get away safely I needed to move. Now.
Pulling off my Slave Scarf, I wrung it out before slipping it back on so as to hide my ears, part of my magenta fringe still sticking through.

I heard men walk by but after they left I heard a female complaining about her clothes being wet. "I have spare clothes miss." I said stepping out my gun in my hand put i had my hands up. "I'd like to help you if you want."
I froze at a new voice. Spinning round, my eyes slightly wide and a hands clutching my scarf I eyed him wearily. Stepping back slightly, I was preparing to run before what he was saying registered in my mind and my hands fell from my head to lay by my side. I didnt move and I could help but feeling suspicious of the boy.
He looked only slightly older then me with a some what strange appearance, especially those eyes...
"Thanks...", I mumbled out as I decided to approach him. It didnt look like he had seen them so it should be fine... Right?

I felt my ear twitch as I looked at where her voice was coming from in the darkness. "Well it's the least I could do see as your splash warned me there were people nearby." I gave a few shuffles through my bag before setting the new clothes on the ground. "Here take them and let's go."
I grinned happily before accepting the boys clothing, I could already feel my nerves calming and the other me coming out to play instead of the one so worried about my survival.
"Thanks, My names Trinity by the way. Whats your name?" I asked curiously, before quickly moving over to where the boy had been hiding, "I will be right out in a sec, No Peeking!" I joked, as I quickly slipped out of the wet clothing in place of the cleaner cloths of the boys. "So where are you heading?", I asked as I left the rocks shelter and smiled at the boy again as I cam to stand next to him.
"Thanks, My names Trinity by the way. Whats your name?" I asked curiously, before quickly moving over to where the boy had been hiding, "I will be right out in a sec, No Peeking!" I gave a smile. "I'm Zephan and I'll peek all I please being blind as a bat over here." I waved my hand in my own face and my eyes stayed staring ahead as if fixed into stone. "It's only temporary since it was caused by a rad scorpion ."
I watched him with an embarrassed blush spreading across my face as I hadn't even realised he was blind, though the milky color of the boys eyes was a bit of a give away.
"Sorry... I didn't realise." I mumbled out before glancing at him curiously and approaching him so that I could get a better look at the boys eyes, "You can't see anything? You sure it will be okay?", I tilted my head in worry as i realised I had become more relaxed around Zeph now that I knew he couldnt of seen my ears. Grinning, I pulled off my scarf and placed it in my bag along with my other clothing.
Running a hand though my hair, I grinned at the freedom I felt after having to cover my head for so long.
"Sorry... I didn't realise." I mumbled out before glancing at him curiously and approaching him so that I could get a better look at the boys eyes, "You can't see anything? You sure it will be okay?", I tilted my head in worry as i realised I had become more relaxed around Zeph now that I knew he couldnt of seen my ears. Grinning, I pulled off my scarf and placed it in my bag along with my other clothing.

"Not many people do." I said with a smile before putting my gun away the revolver packed one hell of a punch but otherwise it was okay. "I-I'm not sure but I hope it does." I said with a very weak smile my eyes had been bad for three days now. "Why are you taking the scarf off your head wait does it smell like wet cat to you too." I said looking around sniffing a little since my sense of small had grown stronger.
I froze and glanced over at him. He couldnt be able to... Smell them could he? She froze for a moment before forcing a laugh before speaking, the lies flowing from her lips naturally after having so much practice with hiding the truth.
"No it doesn't but i bet my sense of smell is as good as yours. I am carrying some fur to keep me warm and it must of get wet, thats probably what you smell". I said before beginning to walk up the path, "Well, come on, lets go...", I before looking back him, "Where exactly are we going?"

I took note of her silence for a few seconds then gave a smile. "Oh okay well we are heading to a small town called megaton." I said walking with her I had the sheathe for my knife open still. "We are being followed just laugh like everything's fine." I said hearing a very soft third set of footsteps behind us and I could smell the sweat on the guy. I wish there had been soap because then that man would have at least been tolerable but before he could fire a single round I whipped around throwing my knife it buried itself hilt deep in his throat. "You shouldn't sneak up on innocent people like that." I looked up then gave a whistle and a brahmin came to me carrying loads of food, water and medicine.
I blinked and turned to see Zeph bury a knife in some poor guys neck before I realised who it was, then I was tempted to go over there and ripe his balls off even if he wouldnt feel it.
"Nice hit.", I commented coolly, my personality shifting again to the colder me. My eyes were emotionless as I stared down at the man. He had been the reason I had had to run away like I did and get all wet. "Shame he didn't die in more pain...", I mumbled to myself, sending the body one last glare before following the path towards Megaton, to sickened to even look at the man for another moment.

He had been the reason I had had to run away like I did and get all wet. "Shame he didn't die in more pain...", I mumbled to myself, sending the body one last glare before following the path towards Megaton, to sickened to even look at the man for another moment.
"Well we are going to have to buy a room and you seem a little less than trusting and therefore I'll take the floor." I said giving her a playful bow while we walked into megaton the Nuke still in the center of the town with it's undetonated payload. "Watch out for the puddle near that thing stand in it and you'll be glowing by nightfall. I walked into the tavern up on the second floor of the walled in crater. "One room and two beers please." I said grabbing one I held the other out for the her to take. "So what's your story and please try to be honest you can skip the nasty bits but not all of it."
I grinned at him as I took the beer, laughing slight. "Trying to get me drink?", I joked before settling down on the bed in the room and leaning back slightly and took a swing, thinking of how best to tell it.
"Well, I don't think we are close enough for you to learn about my whole life story but I can tell you the bits that are important.", I said while smiling up at him. "If you hadn't notice, I have a split personality of sorts. One side of me is more childish while the other is colder and harsh, though we both have trust issues.", I stuck my tongue out at that, before remembering Zeph couldnt see the action.
"People generally don't like me and I tend to end up being chased out of town. What about you? Willing to let me hear your life story?". I didn't expect him to, after all, I hadnt really told him any of mine except for the few facts about him... Thinking about it, I normally dont tell people about my two sides...

"Me? well I was born in the pit a land of slavers and slaves." I started to lean back since this would be a very long story. "I was taught that you had to fight just to survive literally I have scars all over from fighting with all sorts of creatures while I lived there. I got really sick when I turned four and I also got really religious. I almost died every night for a week but what saved me was a promise I had made." I gave a look at the ceiling with a long sigh. "I promised my mother I'd escape that hellhole and when I did I went to California. From there I got military training and a good gun and my knives. I then started wandering and well here I am today."
I stared at him for a moment in silence, I hadnt been expecting that and I couldn't help but feel awed. It was an impressive story, even if it was a little sad.
"What happened to your mother?", I asked curiously. It sounded almost like he was talking about her in the past tense but I couldn't be certain.

"She died got sick and mutated into a flesh eating monster called a Trog and I had to kill her." I said looking back at the floor I took a long drink of the beer before looking at the bartender to order another.
I couldnt help but feel bad. I shouldn't of pried and brought up bad memories. Looking guiltily back up at Zeph as he ordered another drink, I couldn't help but frown slightly in worry that I might of upset him.
"I'm... I'm sorry Zeph, I shouldn't of pried like that...", I mumbled out quietly, looking down into the half finished beer.

"Nah I need somebody to talk to might as well get the bad stuff out of the way first." I said looking at her witha small smile. "But of course now you owe me one." I said getting up I drank the second beer quickly before going upstairs to get ready for some sleep.
I laughed slightly as I watched him leave. Zeph was nice and it was a relief to know she hadn't hurt him by bringing up bad memories. Following his lead, I finished up my drink before heading up and entering the room.
I felt slightly bad about making the guy sleep on the floor considering it was kind of his room. "You know its cool if you want to sleep on the bed, I'm used to the floor.", I offered with a grin at him.

"Take the bed and quiet complaining." I said laughing a little I sat in a chair by the wall and set my handgun on the table next to it. "Just in case more of your friends are coming." I fell asleep shortly after.
"Hay! I am not complaining, I just dont think its right for me to take the be-", I paused as I noticed the guy had already fallen asleep, and couldnt help but laugh quietly at him.
Looking over at the bed, I saw there were to sets of blankets, and grinning I grabbed one up before making my way over to him. Laying the blanket over his sleeping form, I tilted my head to the side slightly as I looked at his sleeping face. He looked... Kinda cute...
Smiling softly, I made my way back towards the bed, slipping in and falling to sleep.
