Name: Kotka (Eagle) Guado
Age: 44
Race: Guado
Favorite Weapon: A hidden-blade (Think Assassins Creed) along with a trusty pistol.
Appearance:
In his traditional Guado-ian robes, Kotka feels slightly connected with the race in which he belongs. The robe also conceals his hidden-blade and pistol. It is also impossible to tell if he is wearing shoes, because his robe reaches so low, but it is assumed he does.
Kotka also has the biological Guado features of long hands, gravity-defying hair, facial tattoos and elf-like ears. His stands 6"1'. Which is average for a male Guado, and weighs around 180lbs.
Personality: Over the years, Kotka has not only become skillful as a warrior, but wise too. He thinks before he acts, and then thinks it over again. To the naked eye Kotka would appear to be no more than a hermit past his prime. But that is not the case, Kotka also has a more socially-accepted side. As he is a keen drinker at city bars and was once quite the ladies' man. Or Guado ladies... He is also quite sarcastic to those he deems "kids", but also tries to protect them from danger.
But behind it all, Kotka is actually a walking time-bomb, and his past will one day consume him, leaving an aggresive and careless soul. When this day comes, he will only care for himself, and will potentially harm those he wishes to protect. In short, this Guado appears nice enough, but don't mention his past. Or you'll be sorry.
History: Born in the basement in Guadosalam's grand palace. Kotka's origin is indeed a great children's tale. As the story goes, he was the illegitimate son of the Guado Maester and his loyal housemaid. Of course, as a Maester, an illegitimate child was terrible news. So the father decided to pension the maid off, and hope she stayed quiet, and luckily for him, she did! The mother and child stayed in Guadosalam for almost two decades. Enjoying their fortunate lives, without telling a soul of what had happened in the past, and apart from a rumour or two over the years, the two barely, if ever experienced any hate. To contradict the loyalty they had offered for so long...
But at the age of 19, Kotka's life changed forever. One day, a summoner entered the town in need of aid. For his guardians had all been killed by an Al-Bhed patrol on their way to the settlement. Kotka's mother gladly wanted to help, so much so she offered herself and her son as new guardians! The summoner gladly accepted this aid, and within no time. Kotka, with no military experience at all, was heading through the thunder plains. Having no idea on what was about to come...
That very night, as the Guado family slept under a makeshift tent. They were attacked by their own kind, Guados under the command of his own father, who was slowly dying from illness, and wished his "true" son, Hunter Guado, to become head of the family unopposed by some illegitimate scum. The Summoner they trusted had in fact lured them into a trap, and over the next few moments, Kotka's mother was slain and he himself was mortally wounded, left to be killed by the lightning strikes that inhabit the plains like a Ronso Mt. Gagazet... Only problem was, Kotka survived thanks to the Al-Bhed that "attacked" the summoner earlier, and was brought into their world to train, and then begin gaining his vengence. Over the next year, Kotka trained with Al-Bhed weapons, in particular, a revolver he still uses today. After saying goodbye to the life-saving bunch. Kotka went to avenge the life of his mother, killing all who were involved in that night. It still remains unknown if he has given up his hunt, or whether 25 years is enough to kill them all. But maybe one day, he shall tell someone, and that "one day" is soon approaching.
Currently, Kotka has spent the last 6 years on Besaid island. Living as a hermit in one of the many cave systems along it's beaches. Just waiting for his next opportunity in life...
