Gennah Ushinawa

"You have the right to blame my kind, but that doesn't mean I'll let you end me."

Description

ImageName: Gennah Taki Ushinawa

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Description: Gennah is 5'6" tall with bright turquoise eyes and short, silvery-white hair. She wears a black, button up jacket with a laced front and a black skirt with black lace underneath. She also wears black, thigh-high socks with a pair of black boots with buckles all up the front that end just under her knees. She has a black eye patch over her left eye that has a gold rose painted on it and bright turquoise nails that match her eyes. Gennah also has a black belt she wear around her waist that has a sheath strapped the the left side that holds her sword, 'Umi no Nami', or 'Umi' for short, standing for 'Ocean Wave'. Strapped to her right thigh is a black belt that holds a small handgun as well, though it is mostly hidden by her skirt.

Personality: Gennah is naturally reserved and calm, though she is not shy. In fact, if you do start talking to her, it is hard for her not to start a conversation. She doesn't have too much of a problem being around other people and isn't afraid to speak out. However, getting her to trust you is a complete other story. She has a huge trust issue when it comes to relying on someone, which is why she is reserved. Gennah prefers doing things on her own and it is very rare for her to accept anyone's help. Though, it doesn't take her too long to jump in and help someone else who needs it.

When it comes to the beasts, Gennah actually feels pity for them. The PMB disease spread to them through the human scientists little cure test, so it isn't like they have much control over their actions. Although they are the ones who spread the HM disease to other beasts, it is clear that the scientists should be the ones to blame. Then again, placing the blame on anyone doesn't make the situation any better. Although she does carry around her sword and gun for protection, she will only fight another being if they attack first. Although it is merely out of the beasts control, she has to survive somehow, right?

History: Gennah was still quite young when the disease erupted throughout Fire Eternal and her family went into hiding. Her parents became beast hunters and left often, leaving her and her older brother, Clive, home alone most of the time. They were still a very happy family and got along pretty well. Her and her brother were very close and her brother would always protect her. From a mosquito to a stray dog, her brother would protect her from anything. After about four years, their parents went out on a job and didn't return for a couple of weeks. When their house was destroyed by a beast one night, Clive, 16 at the time, and Gennah, 14 at the time, left the nearly deserted town they were living in to search for their missing parents. They moved from place to place for one year and began living in an abandoned house somewhere in a mountain range when Clive was attacked by an HMB one night(a full moon). Gennah, in attempt to protect her brother, ended up loosing her left eye while Clive suffered from a much worse injury. Though they were able to kill the beast and Gennah's eye healed(although she would never gain her vision back and there is an ugly scar on her eye now covered by her eye patch), Clive's wound became terribly infected and it didn't take much longer for him to fall ill and die only a month later, leaving Gennah alone at the age of 15. By the time Gennah turned 18 and had killed quite a few HMB's who went berserk on her, Gennah became known as a beast hunter, although she hates being called that and doesn't consider herself one at all. To her, killing a diseased beast is only a matter of protection, although she still holds a deep, almost invisible grudge against them for killing her brother.

Gennah sat at an old cafe in a 'not-very-big' town. With only a few living areas and mostly shops or little cafe's like the one she was at, there weren't hardly any people in the cafe. Then again, this place was known pretty well for the recent attacks of beats too. That could explain why there weren't many people here either. What kind of town it was didn't really matter to Gennah though. She was only planning on passing through anyway, nothing more. The waitress came around, setting a glass of coffee on the table and a plate of eggs. Gennah, after finishing her food and drink, left the cafe, leaving some money on the table.

As she walked down the street, her eyes down to avoid any eye contact from the few who passed her by. It really was quite the dreary town. Seemed like all the ones who gave a crap about their lives fled to some other town that seemed more safe. Letting out a sigh, Gennah tilted her head to the moonlit sky as she came to the end of the town and began to make her way up a dirt road that led into the forest. A nice night, despite the slight chill of the nearing winter on her open legs. Gennah walked for a while through the woods before stopping at a large boulder and taking a seat, setting her sheathed katana beside her against the rock. Being in the woods again reminded her of her brother. The thought made her sad, but she still let a light smile lighten her face. Her vision blurred for a moment as she sat there, leaning a little forward with her hands on her lap. She hadn't slept for a couple of days now, been too busy moving from town to town. The though of her brother blurred as she slowly began to doze off, a slight breeze drifting through the forest trees.

Gennah's eyes shot open and she let out a small 'Yipe!' as she fell forward and face planted the leaf-covered ground. She picked her self up and let out a yawn. I really need to find an inn or something. She thought to herself, brushing off her skirt and picking a few leaves out of her hair. She felt really drowsy and, after spending a few nights sleeping outside, all she wanted to do was crawl into a cushioned bed and sleep for the rest of her life. She picked up her sword and strapped the belt around her waist before turning and walking down the forest path again. It was still very dark and there didn't seem to be any sounds of forest life, maybe the shuffle of a mouse among the leaves every now and then, but that was really it. Gennah payed no mind to it though. It didn't really matter to her all that much whether the forest was alive or not. She continued walking through the forest, the lights from the town she had left disappearing among the trees and nothing but the forest in front of her.
