Laine Smith is found haning by a rope in her room. The senior killed herself, with a note taped to her hand. A map.

Everyone at McKinley High know of the Junior's death. So do a lot others.

Police have tracked the map to a location in Boundary Woods. Three bodies were found: One human, one wolf, and one that was both.
This is how everything begins.

The scientists have taken only three bodies- Laine's was buried with a proper funeral. They study each and try to dissect them to find an answer for why one has a partial tail, crooked/out-of-place bones, growing fur, and half-wolf ears. They don't need to solve the puzzle though. Lots already know. Hunters have been hired. Can you stay alive?

Duluth, Minnesota, holds the world's greatest population of wolves, werewolves, lycans, and dissapearing humans. For years, these shifting beings run a pack of well-bred, well-kept secrets. During the winter, that is. As the tempterature rises, the wolves become humans again. And now, they are being hunted.

This is the time when humans stay humans. There are no wolves in the forest, and no chance of shifting. Months: April- August

SHIFTING
Clothes do not shift with you. Shifting is usually painful for most, unless YOU chose to be bitten. Then it is swift and easy, because this is what you wanted. If not, and you were accidentally bitten, or chosen to be bitten, then it might be a little more painful. Your stomache feels like it is twisting inside out, your bones are like they are breaking, and your whole body is hot. You gain energy, and begin to lose your human thoughts. You will probably recognize your human friends or family, but not specifically remeber their names or how you know them. It is hard to stay focused on someone or something while shifting. Your adrenaline is like burning, hot energy- you can't stop it or stay focused. Everything around you is accelerated.
Aslo, some wolves tried to move to a warmer place, like Texas, so they'll never shift. But then even a small blast of cold air can shift you.
To change back in the winter, the best way is to be thrown into a hot, hot bathtub. This can also help stop shifting, if you think you are about to change.
SAFETY
Since the wolves are now being hunted, it is preferred that the shifters come and live at Beck's house, the pack leader. Runaway from home, if you have to. He will care for everyone here. There is food, and lots of rooms you can call your own. The house backs up to the woods, and a little ways back is a shed filled with clothes, snacks, blankets, and a heater, just in case it is not safe to come to the house or you shifted to human in the woods.
Try not to get shot.
OTHER
Basically, if you are bitten by a wolf, or human (o.o), you will begin to start changing. The pack usually watches anyone they think might begin to shift. Your first few months are painful, and the shifts can be at anytime, even in the summer, and mostly invovles a lot of puking. To identify someone when they are a wolf, it is smart to know their eye color. It is the only way to truely make sure. You as a wolf and you as a human= same eyes. Sometimes, fur= hair color, but it's not always true.
Sometimes they do it for safety, help, an escape; they say it's the best drug.
But after about 15 years of shifting, you are wolf permanently. These wolves are called Omega wolves.Then you live the lifespan of a normal wolf, and die. (About 10 years) One day, you just won't shift back. You know when your day is coming, because over the years, it becomes harder and harder to shift back to human. This is why Beck is recruiting new wolves, to keep the pack going.
SUMMARY
Beck and the older, senior pack members are soon to become Omega wolves, and so they are recruiting new pack members. Particularly a new Alpha. During this, a girl that was in the pack kills herself, and reveals the three bodies that show a human shifting into a wolf. This throws scientists off and they send out hunters to kill and bring back wolves for studies. This new danger provokes the wolves to stay safe- and stay alive.
The roleplay time setting is starting on October 1st, 2010.

The shot rang through his ears as he and his pack were slinking through the shadows. One of his wolves had been too close to being shot by a hunter. He was standing very close. And Beck spotted a few other shadowy humans slinking through the trees. Beck waved his tail, a sign to scatter to the lake a little ways off. He spotted Paul, the second Alpha, and gave him a brusque nod, signaling to lead about half to pack on a different route. We've gone over this drill before; why do I have a feeling someone's going to get hurt? He found his daughter, Cassie, following Paul, her white fur perfectly visible through the trees.

She heard the shot and reacted just a quickly as the bullet dug into a tree near her. The wolf that was aimed at ran to the back of the pack, fear in his eyes. She saw her father give the command to split and head for the lake. Paul took her and a few others with a look that meant, No questions. Cassie nodded and hurried after him. Quickly, all of the pack was running, and soon she lost sight of the other half of the pack.

Deep in her throat she growled before ducking her head after a look from Paul. Another gunshot followed the first and it took all Violet's will power not to break their cover and sprint for the lake.

Beck kept his eyes forward, keeping a steady running pace the whole pack could keep up with. Each paw his put down pushed up and another took its place. His hackles stood on end, and his ears flicked backwards towards the loud crack of another gun-fire. He sped on. The smell of water was drawing in on his muzzle. The other half of the pack was taking the long way, he knew- but that gave more of a chance for them to lose them.

She ducked her head and ran. Do not stop runnin. Follow Paul. Keep running. These were her thoughts as more bullets split the air and made her sensitive ears ring. She looked beside her, a wolf a few years older than she- Violet- was keeping pace as well. ugh,today was probably the worst day of my life! first i have to move to this town, and now my math teacher hates me because some snobby girl faked that i hit her. I am so go- wait.... whats that? dawn saw pelt after pelt run by, almost completely hidden by the trees. Wolves! she thought.

Here, the trees ended right at the edge where lakewater licked the shore, and the trees around it grew very thick, hard for anyone- or anything- to get through smaller than a wolf. Still wary, Beck led the wolves quickly to where a ledge of ground had been cut into over the years by the constant waves. A tree hung over the edge, and was perfect shelter like a cave.

Paul had led his half of the pack to Boundary lake, and finally they spotted Beck and the others under the hanging tree. This half stayed hidden on the more rocky shore, their pelts blending into the mud and stones.

Damian pulled the hammer of his weapon back only to see that in a matter of no time at all these wolves were gone. "DAMN!" Damian yelled thru the forest while slamming down his hard black boot to the cold green earth. Just after that outburst the only thing left to look was down. The so called paw prints stood deep into the mud,dirt,gravel . Damians attitude changed that second, his white smile peering out before his dark brown lips. "Let the chase begin" He stated as if this was a journey...witch indeed it will be

As I walk through the door of the Juice Shop I notice that everyone else here is with other people. I, however, am alone. Immediately, I blush, lower my head and walk quickly to the small counter. When I look up to the menu overhead I also look up at a tall, redhead with Brown eyes. Those brown eyes... wow. Brown. I snapped out of it and re-focused.
"Welcome to Juice Shop!" He greets me with a big smile.
"Hello." I mumble under my breath. His smile disappears and I look back up to the small menu.
I soon make a decision and order.
"Small Polar Peach, Please..."
"Coming right up!" He almost yells. "So, what's your name?" I'm sure I rolled my eyes, but managed to tell him.
"Wake. Yours?"
"Cole." He mumbled, as if I had not ask enough. I sighed, grabbed the smoothie he set in front of me on the orange counter, and pulled five dollars out of my back pocket, set it on the counter, and shifted my feet.
"Thanks." I told him as he handed me my change.
"Forty cents, Wake."
I turned. Then, just for fun I winked at him. And laughed on the way out because of the coulour his cheeks turned when I did it. Freak...
When I took my first step out into the cold my hair stood on end and a pain gripped my back.
No... not here.
My Polar Peach smoothie hit the ground as I ran to find a deserted place, and a way out. Finally, the wolfe inside me snapped and controled me. I could still taste the drink on my lips. As I ran I saw the black fur in my eyes. Suddenly, I stopped.
Where am I?
Damn. Why didn't I just stay with the pack? Idiot.
I got a smell... with my nose to the ground I followed it until I recognized territory.

Instead I would kill to get some meat, the vegetarian, kill to get meat. I laughed to myself. Running after a deer was like a teenage boy playing video games for hours, fun! Even after you catch it... Latch onto the throat... rip... tear... until a steady flow of blood is pouring out, and you no longer have to fight back. I was home... and I loved being there. The pain of changing was worth it. Now I am comfortable in my skin.
Now I see a new wolfe. Greene eyes, Black fur. She looked distressed. I wanted to help her.
Why is she way over there?
Greene Eyes was so far away from the rest of the pack. She realized I was watching her and darted away.
Where is she going? I wondered. Damn. She is gone, I should have followed her.
Then, the smell drew my attention back and again, I started to eat.

She had a pack, the girl. And they had her. If only I was so lucky...
I looked behind me and saw the black hair. Jet black. I turned back to Steven and he was looking out the window.
"Scar... Can you go out there?"
"Sure. I guess." Looking down at my cup I started to pick at my straw.
"You guess?" He grabbed my chin and yanked it up. My eyes naturally navigated away. "Scar... Look at me." I obeyed. "Do you know what will happen if anyone sees?" I hate it when he asks this!
"No..." My eyes navigated away, again. "Neither do you." He pulled his hand away. "But I can guess, and I hate thinking about it." The girl was walking away. I watched as she walked out of the door and saw in her red eyes the pain of the change. The peach coloured milkshake spilled all over the concrete and she went flying around the corner, as fast as she could run. I looked back up at Steven who was giving me a withering look.
"Heh... So... should we go?" I asked, innocently batting my eyelashes. The hint of a smile crossed his face and he nodded.
"Let's go."

She had a pack, the girl. And they had her. If only I was so lucky...
I looked behind me and saw the black hair. Jet black. I turned back to Steven and he was looking out the window.
"Scar... Can you go out there?"
"Sure. I guess." Looking down at my cup I started to pick at my straw.
"You guess?" He grabbed my chin and yanked it up. My eyes naturally navigated away. "Scar... Look at me." I obeyed. "Do you know what will happen if anyone sees?" I hate it when he asks this!
"No..." My eyes navigated away, again. "Neither do you." He pulled his hand away. "But I can guess, and I hate thinking about it." The girl was walking away. I watched as she walked out of the door and saw in her red eyes the pain of the change. The peach coloured milkshake spilled all over the concrete and she went flying around the corner, as fast as she could run. I looked back up at Steven who was giving me a withering look.
"Heh... So... should we go?" I asked, innocently batting my eyelashes. The hint of a smile crossed his face and he nodded.
"Let's go."

John was in the shelter with the rest of the wolves. He had blood on his front two paws and his mouth. he had killed several hunting dogs that surrounded him. There was a small gash in his side were one of the dog had hit him. it wasn't bad but it did hurt a bit. He layed down in a corner and began to lick the wound and clean his paws.

Keith sat on the couch, watching the telivision. These cartoons were terrible, when the hell were they going to make better ones? Keith switched off the T.V. and stood up. He wrapped himself in his coat and walked outside, he felt a cold sensation enter his body, "Oh hell." He muttered.
He knew it before he felt it. He yelled in pain and fell to the ground. Keith writhed about as fur shot out of his body, the white hair turning to brown, the coat, shirt, jeans, and all his other clothes ripped off. The pain slowly passed while Keith sat there, panting, tongue hanging out of his wolf mouth. He walked back into the house quickly, hoping no one had witnessed his transformation. "Great," Keith sighed, "Now I need to get new clothes."

I hope they're here... Maybe this time I could be accepted into the pack. Maybe.
I ran through the trees and could smell the pack's scent.

Slowly, I walked toward the pack, low to the ground so they wouldn't rip me to shreds.

Keith, in wolf form, grabbed another coat from his closet. He held it in his teeth as he charged out of his house and towards the forest. There were others like him, other wolves hiding from the hunters there. "Damn the hunters," Keith muttered as he ran, "I didn't ask for this." He veered left at an intersection, cars stopped and people stared as the brown wolf leaped past them. Keith reached the forest, he could hear a gun shot. "Oh hell," Keith groaned. He leaped into the trees and ran for his life.

He looked across the lake and motioned for Paul to bring his half of the pack. As Paul made his way to them, Beck checked to make sure the coast was clear. No gun shots were heard, dying away in the distance. Paul reached them and they checked to make sure every single wolf was there. Counting his pack, he started with Cassie, relieved that his daughter was safe, and checked that Wake, John, Violet, Paul & himself- of course- and the others of the pack. As Beck finished his counting, he realized they had an extra. Just one black she-wolf with fearful green eyes.
"And you are?" He asked, the pack parting to let him stand before the newcomer.

She had followed Paul and reached temporary safety under the hanging tree, and waited as her father, Beck, counted off every wolf. A smeel hit her- what was that? It smelled of humans and wet soap and gasoline cars...Cassie whipped to the scent, finding a black wolf. She was huddling to the ground, and waited as Beck approached.
And then there was another smell, the smell of fear and pain, and a returning sound that she'd thought died away... But this one was in panic, trying to escape something, not to hunt it. No, the fallen leaves and twigs were not being snapped under the foot of a hunter, but a wolf.

Time- 12:00pm, noon.
Weather- 37 degrees. snow is melting, sun shining, partly cloudy.
Ulrik was shot in town and died, and the rest of the pack went home, except for John and Violet who are at John's house, laying low. Scarlet had also died for mostly unknown reasons, but there was a lot of blood. Wake disposed of the body and returned. Blood is missing, and assumed dead. Beck and Paul have decided for a funeral in the woods as usual, but holding vigil inside.
Cassie's sick and is in her room, as downstairs the pack mingles by the fire, Karen fixing food for anyone hungry for lunch, or hurt as well.

Well, the weird thing is that when you abandoned it, the character did not show up in the Orphanage on the Character page. I'm not exactly a pro at being a game master, as this is my first, so you might have to re-make the character, I'm not sure.

Hey Mightmare Train... Thanks for your pm. Yeah I couldn't reply to it so I thought I would reply here. I did have an Idea on how to make Blood meet the group. Was going to have him get shot and then run away from the hunters. once in the town have him change into Alex and stumble around town naked and then collapse on the steps of your pack house :p... is that okay? thought it would add a bit of drama to the whole thing...
