Spencer thanked Mike for helping him with their luggage before the man left them alone. He walked over to Ashley, sitting down beside her. "Yeah, we'll probably get all the questions tomorrow." He said with a quiet chuckle, laying back on the bed, getting comfortable.

Ashley was laying so her head moved to lay on Spencer's legs, but she scooted up so she had her head on his muscular abdomen, and played with his hand. "Questions questions... I swear that's all they know sometimes. " she chuckled then looked up at him. "How come we don't ever go to your parents? I think last time I went was when.. You introduced me for the first time. Which was more than a year ago now. "

Spencer slowly stroked her hair as she laid with her head on his abdomen,he frowned slightly at the mention of his parents. They were the reason he'd gotten into criminal justice, more his father than his mother. "My mom said she would come to the wedding." He said with a slight shrug of his shoulders, not answering her question. Spencer and his dad didn't see eye to eye, every time they were in a room together it always turned into a fight about one thing or another.

Figuring he didn't answer the question for a reason, she smiled up at him, then sat up to where her head was a rest for his head, and she curled up under the comforters, holding his arm. "I love you Spencer. " she happily sighed, and quickly fell asleep.

The next morning, Ashley woke up around 10, enjoying the sleeping in late with her fiancé. As Spencer was still asleep she in curled his arms from her, and walked out of the bedroom in her jeans and shirt, as she hadn't changed. She wondered why she didn't smell mom in the kitchen or hear dad clomping around, but she shrugged, guessing maybe they were just in their prime years, so they'd slowed down. Feeling as if something was off as she had to feed the cat, and he's never out of food, she went upstairs cautiously. Unarmed, she went to her parents room. The door was shut? Swallowing she opened it slowly, only to let out an ear-piercing scream and fall to her knees in sobs. She couldn't breathe, having a panic attack.

Her parents had been viciously murdered in their bed, her mother's head was even off of her body and on the floor. Blood was everywhere. The killer had written, "You're next" in blood all over the walls, every inch covered in blood. Her parents were just laying in their own pools of blood, on their bed, viciously stabbed. There wasn't an inch of them that wasn't cut up.

"No no nonono... " Ashley pounded the floor. "Nooo... Mom.. Dad... Nooo!" She had never cried so hard in her life. How was she supposed to just forget this? Walk down the aisle alone? Why did it have to be her?

Spencer was woken from his sleep by Ashley's screams. He was out of bed in a flash, grabbed his gun out of his suitcase and took off running, running toward the sound of his fiance's screams and sobs. He stopped in his tracks at the sight of the brutal murder that had taken place. "Oh, god," He breathed. He dropped down on his knees in front of Ashley, pulling her to him. "Baby, I'm so sorry." He said, slipping his gun into the back of his jeans as he held her, trying to keep her from looking at the gruesome scene. "Come on, we've got to call the cops." He said gently, trying to help his fiance to her feet. He felt terrible, this was all his fault, he thought he was keeping her safe by coming here. He'd been so careful, checking his review mirror to make sure they weren't followed, but some how he must have missed the tail.

Ashley pushed him away, and went into the room, and cried over her parents, putting her mother's head back by her body, and pulling the covers over them. She sat on the bed, and got covered in blood, crying. She couldn't stop. She was getting to where she couldn't breathe, and looked at the sad Spencer. She held out her arms, her lips quivering and her face soaked with tears. "S-Sp.." She tried to say his name, but quickly stopped, standing and looking at him, her eyes already bright red. She went out of the room closing the door, and hugged him tightly as she cried more and more.

Spencer knew Ashley was contaminating the crime scene but he couldn't bring himself to stop her, he hated seeing her in so much pain. He wrapped his arms around her once more as she came out of the room. He held her tightly as he pulled his cellphone out of his pocket and called the police. It didn't take them long to respond and there was crime scene techs all over Ashley's parents' room, collecting evidence and taking the bodies to the morgue. Spencer led Ashley downstairs to the kitchen and made her sit down at the table after he got her a glass of water. He didn't know what else he could, he couldn't take away her pain, he felt so helpless.

Ashley sat in the dining room table chair with a look of death on her face. She got to herself to calm down again, but she knew the slightest thing would set her off. She stared at the glass, then at Spencer. She didn't exactly blame him but she wasn't foin to be all lovey to him. "Shit." Ashley suddenly said. "I have a wedding tomorrow." She mumbled, and started crying again.

Spencer paced back and forth in the kitchen as the officers asked him questions. He told them what they could and gave them his captain's number so they could verify his story. When Ashley started to cry again, he walked over and sat down beside her, taking a hold of her hand. "We can reschedule baby," He said gently, under the circumstances, no one would blame them. He wanted their wedding day to be a joyous one, though nothing could be joyous the day after something like this happened.

Ashley didn't respond to anyone but Pencer, making him answer most of the questions. She buried herself into him, and cried more.

Eventually, the officers left, except for a few that stayed around the house on watch. Ashley felt a little safer, but was now indanely paranoid. She stayed in their bed, moving soon after her episode, and under the covers with or without her fiancé.

Normally, he'd go hunt down the bastard who'd done this, but he knew Ashley need him and he couldn't just leave at a time like this. "I made breakfast." He said, setting the tray of food on the nightstand as he sat down on the edge of the bed.

Ashley didn't say a word but revealed herself from under the covers and had on his old t-shirt that she remembered him wearing on their first date. She'd calmed down significantly. "I remember mom telling me that you were too cute not to date. " she smirked. "And on a joking note, she added how proud she would be if I nabbed you in marriage. Said we would have the cutest grand kids for her. " she clenched her teeth, and wrapped herself around him from his back. "I love you. We'll be okay tomorrow. I'll be okay. I may not be much of a party we for the honeymoon, but Mom wouldn't want us grieving over her when we are supposed to be expressing our love to the world. " she sighed, still affected, but felt as if she was honestly trying to be happy to him.

Spencer smiled against her lips as Ashley kissed him, kissing her back for a few moments before slowly breaking the kiss. "I should call Vicky before it gets too late so she has a chance to make it here in time." He said, pulling out his phone dialing his sister's number. She answered quickly and Spencer briefly explained what was going on, asking if she could come help Ashley get ready for the wedding tomorrow. She happily agreed. Spencer chuckled quietly as they said their goodbyes and hung up. "I hope you're ready for tomorrow, Vicky always wanted a little sister, but all she got was me." He said with another quiet chuckle, rubbing Ashley's back still.

Ashley glanced at the clock which read 1:10, as she dozed off. When she woke back up, it read 6:10. She doesn't eember ever sleeping for long than an hour it so during the day. She couldn't tell if spencer was with her or not as it was dark, but she felt something around her she usually didn't. She jumped up, and hopped out of the bed putting her back against the wall, letting out a small shriek as she did.
