Sage Lieberch's Story

Liana rode her bike slowly to the park that her parents sent her to. She listened to her ipod as a distraction, so she wouldn't think about all the things that can happen when she got there and met her fate right in the face. Her nervous gitters sent chills up her spine, which made her shiver. Of course she forget her coat in her room. Her and her parents had a huge argument before she left, but of course they won. The thought of meeting your partner for life in less then an hour was in some way exciting for Liana, but she would never admit it to anyone. She wondered in her head what he would look like, if he was tall and slender, or short and tan. She cut her train of thought when she made the turn into the park, and locked her bike up. She took out the piece of paper that her parents flung at her and told her to go. It was now crumpled from being in her pocket. Her elegant shoes made a tapping noise as she walked on the pathway. In the distance she saw a beautiful fountain, she couldn't stop her temptation. She ripped off her shoes and socks, and jumped into the shallow water of the fountain. It brought chills up her legs them numbed them to the bone, but she didn't mind. She's always had a childish self when she thought no one was watching her. In someway this was her way of acting rebellious to her parents, they made her look her best by putting her best dress on her. She picked up a hand full of water and flung it into the air, it looked like tiny glittering crystals when in the light of the fountain. A smile crept onto her face, as she laughed. But the smile slowly vanished as she realized a boy was standing at the end of the fountain, hidden by the shadows of the trees. "Ummm, sorry about that I didn't realize anyone was there." She spoke. "And um I hope I didn't get you wet."

Sage saw a small but very pretty girl splashing around in the fountain. He chuckled a bit to himself, as she spoke he replied in a deep but yet calming tone "No it's fine and I feel pretty dry right now so I don't think you got me wet". He tilted his head a bit in concern " aren't you cold?" He walked around the fountain to get somewhat closer to her.

Liana Stared into the boys eyes while he spoke. "No it's fine and I feel pretty dry right now so I don't think you got me wet". He tilted his head " aren't you cold?" The boy walked around the fountain getting closer to her. "Oh not really." She said with a smile, even though she was shivering to death. She slowly stepped out of the water leaving a little trail of droplets behind her. But as she did her little piece of paper fell from her pocket, and landed next to her shoes. She picked it up quickly and stuffed it back into her coat, hoping he wouldn't see. She sat down on the edge of the fountain where it was dry, and tried to wipe off her freezing toes with the sleeve of her coat. But that utterly failed. "Oh sorry I didn't introduce myself did I? My name is Liana." She said looking up at him. "What's yours?" She added on while fumbling with her soft white socks, and slipped on her shoes. She ungainly stood up, and tried to balance herself out. And brushed a loose hair out of her face.

Sage saw a note flutter down by the girls feet. He watched her pick it up and put it in her pocket. His attention, from watching her quickly shifted to her lips as she spoke. She told him her name was Liana, the name for some reason sounded quit familiar, his attention towards her turned, he kept thinking "where have I heard that name before" He stood there in silence trying to remember where he heard that name.. She asked him for his name in return. He quickly looked back at her, bringing back his full attention "Oh uh my name is Sage,Sage Lieberch" His thoughts suddenly changed to the note that he saw slip out of her pocket. " Oh may I ask what that note was?" He stepped a little closer to Liana, slightly leaning in towards her.

Liana turned to look at him when he started to speak. "Oh uh my name is Sage,Sage Lieberch" She smiled a bit, "That's a nice name." She said . Then Sage started to speak again. " Oh may I ask what that note was?" He asked. Liana blushed slightly, realizing that he had caught a glimpse of it, "Oh um sure." She replied and started digging in her pocket, and a second later pulled out the crumpled envelope. "I came here to meet my future husband, but as you can see I got a little side tracked." She said as she handed to paper over to him.

Sage took the note and looked at her with surprise "Really I too am waiting here for- wait" he looked down at the note thinking that this had to be the person he was waiting for, I mean it made perfect scene she was waiting for a so called "Husband" and he was waiting for a "Wife". He finished reading, his eyes grew big. "Uh.....". So he was right. he coughed clearing his throat and handed Liana back the note. "Just out of curiosity did you by chance read the note yourself?"

Liana glanced at him and back at the note while he read it . "Really I too am waiting here for- wait" Jade looked down at the note and cleared his throat. "Just out of curiosity did you by chance read the note yourself?" He said. She realized where this was going, she took in a sharp that. "Ummm not really my parents threw the envelope at me, and pushed me out the door." She said now looking now at the note. "And I couldn't read it on my way here because I ride a bike." She continued. She stared at the note. "Nice to meet you future husband." She said with a fake smile.

"Henrietta..." Benjamin chastised. "Why don't we wait until after the wedding to do that, when nobody will be watching?"

Huffing, Henrietta leaned back to rest her palms on Benjamin's knees as if he were merely a chair. "Please, no one's watching," she said. "We could announce the presence of a suicide terrorist - naked - and no one would give us a glance. They're all too caught up with themselves." Henrietta's red lips smiled mischievously. "Watch."

"LISTEN UP, YOU SAPPY, ANNOYING COUPLES!" Henrietta shouted a little too cheerfully, climbing off of Benjamin to leap into the air. The young woman smacked her hand on the top of the fountain, causing the water to stop flowing. Doing a double flip in the air, the long apricot-haired girl stood upright on the tip of the tall structure, chuckling lightly as she wobbled. Well, she very nearly fell but since she didn't, what she did clearly wasn't dangerous.

"You're all much too old to be acorns in a watermelon. You hear that?" Henrietta paused, flipping her soft hip-length hair over her pale shoulder for dramatic effect. "That's the sound of your youth flying far, far away. Live in the moment. DAMN it's gone!" The petite girl snatched at air and tipped forward so she nearly fell - for theatrics - before quickly throwing herself back into balance. "Get a ring, stick it on her finger. Make out and go home. Have cute, puking babies together and die miserable," she announced, rolling her large blue eyes.

"By the way," she smiled, smirking and causing her left dimple to sink in. "The number's 555-321-6699."

Henrietta looked down at Benjamin, then down to the ground, up to the surrounding people and back down to the ground. "So, uh... I'm afraid I didn't think this far, love," she mumbled. Laughing somewhat manically - though her laughter was a lilting, sweet sounding thing - Henrietta asked,

"How do I get down?"

Benjamin face reddened even more in embarrassment. "Uh, fellas..." He said to the surrounding people as he helped Henrietta down. "I know your night has just been interrupted, and on her behalf, I apologize." He then looked at Henrietta while still helping her down. "Darling, don't you think we should use this time to find some common ground, you know, talk about our likes and dislikes and stuff like that to see if there is any chemistry? By the way, I heard you enjoy music, but I'm not sure what kind."

Sage could feel the awkward atmosphere, He rubbed the back of his neck. "So..... I guess it's nice to meet you too". He looked down at the ground not knowing what to say next. He thought meeting his so called "future" wife would be a little more exciting, now it actually was quit awkward. he stood there in silence waiting for words to pop into his head.

Liana blushed a bit at the awkward moment they were having. "So..... I guess it's nice to meet you too". Sage said. A little breeze picked up, and blew past Liana, she shivered a bit. "Your much better then I thought you would be." She heard herself saying. Her fingers grew a bit numb from the cold, and her nervousness. She looked down at the ground, taking in the cracks in the concrete and the voices of the other people in the park. "How old are you?" She asked trying to get into a conversation.

Sage smirked as she spoke and leaned in closer to Her. "Your deffinitly cuter then I thought you'd be" he tilted her chin up "by the why 17". He let go of her chin and steped away, no longer leaning in closer to her. "What about you your age I mean? 16,17? Or maybe older?". He stuffed his hands in his pockets,looking at her still with a slight smirk.

Liana was shocked and flattered when sage called her cute. And her face turned a light pink when she felt the warm press of his fingers lifting up her chin. "By the way 17." He said. And let go. "What about you your age I mean? 16,17? Or maybe older?". He said putting his hands in his pockets. "Oh I'm 16, one year younger then you." She said with a warm smile. "Hey do your mind sharing your pocket with me?" She said rubbing her icy hands.
