I woke up, feeling sand moving beneath me. Wait, sand?! Where was I? Last I remembered, I was on the boat to England....I opened my eyes, blinking away the hot sun. I was soaked from water....water? I could hear distant waves of an ocean....was I on an island?

I woke up to the sound of the waves, next to a woman I did not recognize. I shook myself off, and looked around..... Wait. Why am I on an island? The fuck did I do last night? Am I dreaming? No... no, this can't be...

I sat up, looking next to me to see a man whom I did not know. I jumped to my feet, backing away. "Who are you and why am I here? Where's my little brother and my mom?" I demanded, looking around.

"I don't know, maybe I should ask you. Who are you and where are we?" I looked around for a moment, trying to see if anything odd caught my eye... My stuff! Hung on a palm tree was my gear, and hers (or atleast I assume). I throw her her gear and put on mine. Looking around again, I try and see if there's a boat of sorts in the water. No? None? Great. Fucking great.

I caught my stuff as he carelessly threw it to me. "I'm Amelia. And it appears to be that we are on an island" I told him, though looking for my mother and younger sibling. How come I couldn't see them, but I was stuck here with this....this....twat.

"It appears we are." How delightfully obvious that was. He looked around some more, until he got tired of doing so. He wandered across the beach for a bit, not caring for the woman that joined him.

I swung my bag over my shoulder and jogged after him. "That's not fair. I told you my name, you tell me yours"

Well, if she insisted... "Lukas." He continued wandering, smacking away shrubs at the edge of the beach with his staff. He went ahead and put some herbs in his satchel, for he never knew if he'd ever need to make a brew.

I decided to delve a bit deeper into the vegetation of the island, and found nothing of interest immediately. However, with a bit of wandering, I discovered a small cave. Seemingly devoid of animal presence, it seems like it's my new home for now.

Once i found the bodies, I was heartbroken. But they were already floating away in the ocean. I didn't want to cry, but the tears were pushing it. I wiped my eyes and quickly followed after Lukas. Maybe if we stuck together, we would be able to survive.
