Physical Description: 5’9”, average build, light-skinned African-American, brown eyes, dark brown hair. Wears orange-lensed circular sunglasses, orange and black headphones, purple track jacket with “Tempo” written in orange graffiti letters on both sleeves, white t-shirt with an unwinding cassette tape graphic on the front, grey sweatpants, purple inline skates with orange straps and wheels. Carries a messenger bag with a black and white checkerboard pattern cover.

Personality: Tempo is a thrillseeker who loves exciting, high-energy activities, as well as enjoying expression through creative methods, especially artwork. He is also impatient, quick to leave if he thinks something is boring unless it is important. He generally has a casual attitude around others, staying cool and calm and voicing what’s on his mind.

History: Tempo is a rollerblader, freerunner, and graffiti artist from Grind City, Michigan, working as a package deliveryman. Tempo was one of a few people chosen through a special event to receive an early edition of a special pair of inline skates from Japan that allow the user to travel at high speeds. However, when S.K. Duggan, the city’s new mayor, started making a bunch of new rules restricting people’s activities in the city, which include bans on skating, parkour, and graffiti, he found himself a target of Duggan’s enforcers.

Equipment: His skates have a specialized motor built into them that allows him to travel at high speeds and powerful magnets in the wheels allow him to skate and grind on vertical metallic surfaces. When the motor is not activated, they function as normal skates.

He also carries a spray can of oil slick, a few cans of spray paint, and a yo-yo that he can use as a melee weapon and a grappling hook (which has a tough, durable string and a quick release feature).

Abilities: Tempo is a skilled trick skater and freerunner, so he is skilled at using the environment to his advantage for enemy encounters or getaways. He also has some experience in street fighting, mostly from sparring with fellow revolutionaries around the city.
