Discord, the Equestrian spirit of chaos, was having the time of his eternal life here. So many genetic experiments in the woods... attempts at order dissolved into chaos. Of course, some of that may have been him. He knew he left a couple of his own "experiments" in here a few hours ago. But all that is irrelevant - the idea of the world's natural order falling to pieces just thrilled him to his bones, and he wouldn't be anywhere else.

Then comes Claptrap. Maybe the portal had bugs again. He falls Discord and falls down faceflat. Claptrap gets up and shakes it off like nothing ever happened.

"Minion! Your portals are whacked out again!" Claptrap noticed that Peacock is not here, "Minion? Hey? Where'd ya go? ....Aww, I'm lonely again."

"Made it!" Peacock cheered.

"You've been hanging out here...?" Jagger questioned.

"Eh, Avery bugged me to take a nature-walk. This is as natural as it gets in Haven, y'know."

"Visitors?" asked Discord. "I'm flattered, honestly, but you should have called first! I would have prepared a nice little something for you!"

Then Steve jumps out of the portal with Ted in his hand.

"No time for that now! Sorr--- HOLY CRAP, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU?!" Claptrap screams and points at Discord, "Who the hell gave birth to a freak like you?! This is-- this is madness--! It's like you've been raised by a goat mother who went into an animal bar just to give herself a horizontal mambo, and then all of a su--"

"Heyoo!" Steve spoke.

"What? I'm just saying that his mother gave birth to a freak of nature."

"Now, let's see," said Discord. "This seems like a difficult moral choice! Do I help out the annoying robot who called me and my mother a freak, knowing it won't benefit me in the slightest, or do I do not that? HOW DIFFICULT!"

Another Discord head, this one with a halo above it, pops out of Discord's shoulder.

"I think you shouldn't interfere with this xenophobic machine!" said the shoulder angel. "The prime directive clearly states that you are not allowed to interfere with other cultures!"

A third Discord head, this one with devil horns, pops out of Discord's other shoulder.

"Oh, when has that ever stopped you?" asked the shoulder devil. "Go ahead! Tell him things about that key!"

"And alter his destiny?" asked the shoulder angel. "Look at him! He's too backwater to handle any help you may give him! He may think of you as a god!"

"But I AM a god," replied the shoulder devil. "Technically."

Jagger cleared him throat at Claptrap, giving an evil eye - being a "freak" as well, he seems to expect Claptrap to apologize like he means it.

"...ANY-how," Peacock said, "we really should hurry up and go look for that key before Valentine gets to it." She's about to head out in search of the key, whether the others are ready or not.

Plantium's airship soon flies into the area, and begins circling the Spliced Woods from far above.

On the deck of the airship, high up in the air..

"Prepare to drop the anchors!" Plantium yells to those of his troops onboard above the sound of his ship's engines roaring in the background, the Metal Koopas meanwhile running about above and below deck, grabbing various arms and appliances, the most common tools being jetpacks and high-powered energy rifles. "Grab whatever arms are available, jet down to the forest, and get me that key piece!"

A hulking machine soon crawls up above deck - although with a bit of difficulty, as it sports six metallic crab-like leg appendages not necessarily designed for climbing stairs. This montrous thing is Ripsaw, one of the many superweapons Plantium has created over the years, and his newest 'right hand'.

"I have news, my lorrrd," Ripsaw bellowed. "Our ssscanners have picked up ssseveral unusual readingsss within the woods - and they are not of the.. 'indigenousss ssspecies' that litter the area."

"The hunters have fallen for the bait? Excellent.." Plantium said, rubbing his hands together gleefully. "We might be able to have a little bit of fun here, after all..."

"HEYOOO!!!" Steve shrieks and points skywards.

"Steve, I know. There are mutant birds flying in the skies. As soon as we get to the key, we'll have no problem finding the other keys and get to that treasure."

Claptrap stops for a moment.

"Hey, did you guys hear that?" Claptrap asks, "Either my hard drive is hungry or there's an airship flying above the--- AIRSHIP?!!!"

Claptrap starts to shake in fear, and it looks like the hunters are in a serious pickle. With Plantium's soldiers diving into the forest, finding the key will be difficult. Not to mention letting Plantium get to that key is not a good thing for Claptrap.

"Okay Claptrap... keep it cool... just think that an army of killer robot turtles are not much of a threat... they are just... looking for treasure... and... SCREW THAT!!! PLANTIUM IS HEEERREEE!!!!"

Eventually, the airship stops circling the air above the woods and drops its anchors, the steel weights landing somewhere in the forest with a muffled 'thump'.
Plantium and Ripsaw remain on deck, as dozens of Metal Koopas continue to pour out from below deck, leaping off the sides of the airship and activating their jetpacks, descending into the woods. The former duo sit about, watching several holographic feeds through the eyes of the Metal Koopas that are already in the woods.

"Throw enough bodies at it, and one of them will EVENTUALLY catch sight of the key piece.." Plantium mutters, as he and Ripsaw scan the feeds intensely.

Meanwhile, among the cloud of Metal Koopas dropping into the forest in search of the key, a small squad of six in particular jet down towards the group of hunters, the robot soldiers quickly aiming their rifles at the group.

"In the name of the lord of the Metal Legion, we demand you drop, power-down, or otherwise refrain from using any and all weapons, magic, or powers you may have, and surrender, hunters!", one of the robotic turtles demanded monotonously.

"Preferably those last two options!", a second beeps redundantly.

"..What are the odds of them listening though, I wonder?", a third asks aloud, actually pausing to calculate.

"Heh...Bad choice of equipment." Jagger utilized his magnetism on the Metal Koopas to clump them together (and possibly scramble their circuits). "{to Peacock} You know what to do..."

"{salutes} Got it." With that, Peacock slips out of sight through a portal. It'll be her job to grab the key.

"Incoming!!!"

Leilanie and Red fall into the fray and join up with Peacock. Knowing that they still have time to grab the key from Plantium, Leilanie will have to protect her group by fending off the Metal Koopas. Steve joins and continues to blast missiles with a Torgue bazooka. But if he reloads, he is off guard.

Claptrap still running around like a crazy coward until he bumps into an anchor that connects to Plantium's Airship. He got up and looks at it for a moment... Then he finds a backup plan. If Plantium DID manage to get the key, Claptrap will catch Plantium by surprise and take the key for himself. He climbs up the anchor as quick as he can.
