Freelance trader and passenger aboard The Dancer
Intelligent and fiercely independent, Khadija has been shaped by her long and dangerous existence into a shy woman with an intense suspicion of anyone but herself. She is quiet, only speaking when necessary and choosing her words carefully.
The solitary life she leads leaves her isolated, and despite her self-imposed independence Khadija is lonely and unwilling or unable to allow anyone close to her. To deal with the pain, she has slowly begun developing a habit of sampling the illicit pharmaceuticals she deals.
Luba .38 automatic pistol with 15-rd magazine, and the tools of her freelance work.
Born and raised as the second daughter of a well-off electrical engineer on New Cairo, when she was seventeen Khadija was promised to be married to a family friend but fled the night before the wedding and stole aboard a departing freighter. In the twelve years since she has made her livelihood walking the line between the legal and the not-so legal, specializing in the trade of small but highly profitable goods such as jewels and pharmaceuticals. She prefers to fly under the radar of the law by traveling on anonymous freighters and paying well enough to be left alone. When someone does get too curious, Khadija is more than willing to defend herself and her goods and is no stranger to violence.
