Name: Rhys Jakobson
Age: Seventeen
Stereotype: Goth Male
Personality: Rhys is very kind, but also rather shy. He isn't a particularly outgoing sort of guy, preferring his small clique of goths over a large amount of friends. Rhys is always a bit hesitant about saying things about himself, always worried about whether they'll be used against him in the future. He is rather paranoid when it comes to things like that. Rhys is very indecisive, and is not the sort of person who would make a good leader. He take up responsibility if he has to, however, he generally prefers to let others do the leading, content to just follow. He isn't the sort of person who would make a stand, and is generally just a bystander for the most part. If one of his friends is being bullied, he will try to help them, but he tends to pretend to not notice if anyone else is in trouble.
Stereotypically goth, Rhys is a very quiet, introverted, and also rather depressed. He doesn't tend to show it, but underneath he really is very depressed, and near the verge of suicidal on bad days. There isn't any particular reason for his depression; it's most likely just caused by an imbalance of hormones that comes from growing up. Rhys hates the fact that he doesn't even have a reason for being depressed, and considers himself very worthless for being depressed, which only ever makes him more depressed. He tends to handle his depression by cutting, but would never let that fact be known, which is why he is always wearing his jacket.
Sexuality: Gay
Appearance: Rhys is a fairly tall guy, standing at just under 6'2" in height. He has a fairly slender build with just enough muscles to prove that he does exercise every now and then. Preferring to keep his hair long, there is rarely a moment when his hair is shorter than shoulder length. It is wavy, and dyed black. Naturally, his hair is a fairly light colour, most likely blond or red, but Rhys makes sure to dye it often enough that the roots of his hair never show their true colours. Most of the time, he wears his hair loose purely because that it simplest. He has large, dark blue eyes that are emphasized by the amount of eyeliner and eyeshadow he wears; clearly, Rhys prefers a rather gothic style of dressing. His skin is almost pure white due to an overload of pale foundation.
Rhys has a fairly casual, yet elegant, dress sense. Most of the time, he will be wearing t-shirts and slacks. Everything is black, of course, considering he is a goth. It is unheard of to see Rhys without his black leather jacket. He is always wearing it in even the warmest of weather, refusing to take it off. There are a few rumours circulating about why he doesn't want to take his jacket off, the main one being that he cuts and doesn't want anyone to see the scars, but Rhys just claims he likes it too much to not wear it. His choice of footwear is black Converse sneakers.
Likes: Reading (Especially if it's written by Edgar Allen Poe or Neil Gaimen), listening to music (Cradle of Filth, Sixx Am, Moi Dix Mois, and Malice Mizer are his favourite bands), the colour black, painting, drawing, classical music
Dislikes: Overly talkative people, social events, talking about himself, being a leader, himself.
Background: Rhys lives a fairly normal life for the most part. He was born in Newberry to a fairly perfect family. His mother is a plastic surgeon and his father is a lawyer, so his family has a fairly decent income rate. His older sister, Elizabeth, is studying music at Julliard and is on the verge of becoming a world class violinist. He has two pet cats, Fluffy and Bob, and lives in a stereotypical two story house that is white. Rhys' parents were always fairly carefree and open-minded, so they let Rhys do what he wanted during his childhood. There was a mild argument when he switched over to a goth style a few years ago, but they soon grew accustomed to his different style.
He couldn't quite remember when he first became depressed, but it was probably somewhere around entering ninth grade. Rhys tried to keep his feelings hidden from his parents, but, one day, his mother walked in on him cutting. She panicked, and immediately grounded Rhys, taking everything that could potentially be sharp away from him. She then called a counselor, and he has been having meetings with his counselor for the past few years. When he was sixteen, Rhys claimed that he wasn't depressed anymore, so his meetings with his counselor stopped. Now his depression has only ever gotten worse.
Misc: He loves singing, and has a fairly high tenor voice. Rhys has taught himself to death growl, which is useful considering most of his favourite songs are death growled. I am a Gleek
