PERSONALITY
      ✦ Gentle ✧ Flirtatious ✦ Untrusting ✧ Lonely ✦

Sei is of a gentle breed though he can be a bit pleasantly sarcastic, insulting you with a serene smile. He is in general a very gentle person, kind and caring to those whom surround him. He does well by others and would hate to see anyone get hurt, especially if it's his fault. He tends to address others in an overly formal way as a way to keep distance. He was once a romantic sort, though it has dissolved to nothing more than simple flirtation as he no longer trusts others to the extent to have true romantic feelings for others. Being contradicted by others to nearly no end has ended up giving him some trust issues, his own father and the occasional bully only making it worse by confusing his sense of reality on purpose. He's not particularly hateful towards others because of this, but he has a hard time telling what is real and not, giving him a rather short temper when it comes to certain things.

All in all he is very lonely. All of his siblings have moved on to make lives of their own, his mother has long passed, and his father hates him. Everyone in his hometown considers him a freak and shun him because of his strangeness. His mother was his first and only true love. There after he though he had obtained love but in the end he was either being mocked or he messed the relationship up somehow. His siblings were kind to him but they couldn't protect him forever. He feels all alone in the world, but he knows he's not the only one. He agreed to go into rehabilitation in order to live a normal life.

LIKES
Fried Tofu He's not particularly fond of fried foods but something about fried tofu is very pleasing. He's been referred to as a fox by his older brother a few times.
Classical Music A beautiful melody to drown out all the noise of the world. It's soothing and beautiful, practicing his choice instruments give him some pleasure in his day to day life.
House Work Being one of the eldest he was often one to take over the chores. It's not a Cinderella story where his father slaved him away while his siblings laughed, however.
Headphones All he has to do is put these on and close his eyes. He's then carted off to a whole world free of stress and questioning his sanity. Whenever he has a temper or is hearing noise that is apparently not there, he'll slip them on.
Distractions Being left to his thoughts often cause him to start to panic and wonder if he's lost it yet or not, so he often busies himself with one thing or another.

DISLIKES
Quietness Silence is unnerving to him as it gives headway to possible noise or him getting lost in thought.
Cats Once they started talking to him at a young age, he'll do anything to avoid them. According to others, cats do not talk so he cannot stand being around them.
Showing Off He is fairly modest and not prone to drawing attention to himself. He keeps to himself, a distant smile on his face.
Pointing Out His Symptoms Whenever someone points out his symptoms he becomes annoyed. Not directly at the person, though he often takes it out on them.
People He doesn't hate them, but he doesn't trust them either.

Image
Image
Image
TALENTS
Piano and Cello He is self taught in both of these but is a rather lovely player. His favorite works are by Frederic Francois Chopin.

Reflexes He has decent, almost cat like reflexes. Don't tell him that though.

Hearing He has surprisingly good hearing, slightly above average in fact. Though he is not fond of this little fact, in the end it's what makes him such a good musician.

Dodging Questions He is constantly asked about either his eyes or his symptoms among other things he doesn't like talking about. So he's developed quite a crafty tongue to dodge any topic he is not fond of.

Sarcastic Banter He is rather sarcastic and snarky at times, hidden behind sweet words and a gentle face.

FLAWS
Symptoms He'll hear or even occasionally see something that is not there, reacting to it as if it was.

Cooking He's not very apt at cooking, often burning himself or spilling his cooking contents whenever he is surprised by a sound he was not expecting.

Dishonest He's not very forward or honest, seeing as how others were not prone to show him the same mercy.

Flirtatious He's a flirt but there is no love behind his words and there are times when people are emotionally hurt by this trait of his.

Temper He's not easily angered but once he gets mad he acts like a boorish child. He'll lash out at anyone near him, taking out his rage on them and regretting it in the end.

FEARS
Hurting Others Having been hurt, he understands how it feels and would never wish such deep pain onto anyone else. If he were to be the source of the pain, he'd would completely shut down.

Losing His Mind He doesn't want to lose touch with reality, but finds himself slipping every day and it terrifies him.

Cats He avoids them like the plague, being the biggest reminder that he's a nut job.

Falling In Love He's scared to get close to someone and ending up hurting them once again.

"Quit telling me I'm crazy! Just leave me alone!"

BIO
At a young Sei had shown signs of his affliction, imaginary friends not going away, reacting or crying to things that weren't there, and the like. His father was tolerate, his mother accepting, and his siblings understanding. He could not be happier. They say one cannot know true sadness without first knowing true kindness. Sei was getting well accustomed to his affliction, growing up with a mostly normal life despite his occasional psychosis attacks. Then one day when he was seven, he heard someone cry out from the street. He knew someone was going to get hit, he felt it and thought it to be true with every fiber of his being. He turned on his heel and dashed out into traffic, in mid stride realizing that he was the only person on the road. His mother leapt out to him, protecting him from oncoming traffic. She died in the process, Sei himself ending up in the hospital. That day his father suddenly grew cold, they were no longer close and Sei felt as if he knew strangers better than he knew his father. After this incident, Sei's psychosis became more frequent.
About a year later, he found that someone was talking to him as he was walking home with his triplet brothers from school. He turned to see a cat, glancing at his brothers for confirmation. That cat was real, but the voice it used to speak was not. Sei panicked, running away from the cat much to his brothers' surprise and worry. He grew a deep fear of cats, seeing them as a reminder that he wasn't normal.
At the age of sixteen, he had a decent hold of his life despite being occasionally bullied and was even dating. However, his psychosis affliction attacked at quite possibly on one of the worst times ever. Convinced that someone he never met was his partner, he kissed the person only to wake up suddenly when his real partner stepped forth. He had hurt them, greatly, along with the person he was 'toying' with. When confronted, he had nothing to say as he stood there in horror of what he had done. What he thought was the love of his life walked away as he fell to his knees in tears, yelling out at nothing particular. One of his siblings had found him in the state of shock and brought him home. Ever since then, he never got close to anyone outside of his family.
When his youngest sibling, Yukino, turned 17, had to leave as he was no longer welcomed in his household. He believed he could not function in normal society by himself, so he omitted himself into rehabilitation.

The bus ride had been, without a fraction of doubt, downright horrendous. Luna found herself seated at the very front of the bus, a bus that was occupied by people whom she had no prior connection to. She had no idea whether or not anyone was looking at her, nor could she check as that would involve turning around and, potentially, meeting someone's gaze. What was more horrid was, whenever a new person embarked on the bus, she was among the first couple of people they would see. It did not help quell her fear to hear another person, a male voice by the sounds of it, already yelling at other people.

As though to escape the terrifying reality Luna had found herself in, granted it was also she who brought herself there, she reached into the small bag she had placed beside her and pulled out a portable game. The game itself was of the arcade fighting variety, one genre that Luna, among many, absolutely sucked at. Nevertheless, she played the game and enjoyed herself all the same. It wasn't long before she had lost for the thirtieth time and the bus had come to a full stop in front of what appeared to be their destination. "Well... it looks like a haven, I guess? Maybe a little hopeful?" She thought to herself, although she couldn't help but make a worried expression.

One perk to being seated towards the front of the bus was that she could be one of the first people to exit the bus; meaning she wouldn't have to look at people as she walked through the aisle. As soon as the entered the building, she claimed a seat off to the side as her own. She put her game back into her bag for the time being while nurse Nurse had addressed the new arrivals. Once the Nurse had made her exit there was a booming laughter which echoed across the room, making Luna let out a soft, strangled breath. She glanced at the source of the laugh from her peripherals and saw a male clutching his head. She quickly glanced at the others in the room, prepared to only look for a few seconds, lest they make eye contact.

There was another male located towards the door of the building who had light colored hair. There was a bespectacled girl standing off on her own as well, looking as though she were sizing up the others. Then there was the male, definitely looked a lot older than everyone else present, who seemed to be already introducing himself to others. There was also a late arrival who, aside from wandering the reception area, was also keeping to herself. Uwaah... Everyone seems rather... unapproachable. Luna thought to herself, pulling out her game once more. As her game booted up she couldn't help but think that Solum would have a better time in this situation. She was always friendly and social. Maybe even Sol would be better, being energetic and stuff. Letting out a sigh, Luna started up her game and waited for whatever would come next.

"People ask why, but they wont listen."
Image
The female had arrived a day before everyone else, not that anyone would have cared about it at all. Her fathers employee had stopped over to drop off some papers when he had seen her. The maid in he household told him to wait in the living room and he did, but as he was out there he heard loud yelling coming from upstairs. Astrid was playing her violin for him as he normally had her do, but today one string had broken making an awful screeching noise. She knew her dad to be an aggressive man and he slapped her across the face, soon after followed a faint scream. She didn't like to scream, but it had hurt like hell to her and se whimpered softly. Mr.Jones had gone a bit too far and on his young daughters face was a bruise welling on her cheeks. He dismissed her from the room and she scurried downstairs. She held her violin at him and she bit down on her lip going to the living room where all the books and her violin case was on display. Her eyes met Mr.Barnabik and she gave a smile. "My father will be down in a moment." She told him hiding her cheek with her violin. But the man had already seen it and he planned to have the authorities make over the situation. "It's nice to see you Astrid, I'll make a visit to see you in two weeks." The man spoke. Astrid was close to his family and a lot of school things she would be involved with, his son and daughter would be too. He was also a teacher at her school so it wasn't odd that their families were close. "Thank you! Tell Lily and Daniel I'll miss them!" She said before she went back upstairs.
Astrid actually hadn't been taken from her own till three or four hours had passed. She had nearly everything se was bringing with her, though she was really surprised when they were there. But they told her it was because her father had been labeled as abusing her. She didn't deny and they bruise on her cheek spoke for her. She was taken ad had arrived nearly late at night, she hadn't even gotten a chance to actually go out and look around before she was taken into her room. The nurse had settled her and although she didn't want her too, the lady had forced her down and cleaned up her cuts. Astrid had a terrible first night as she was checked out before taken to her room. She was screaming and hollering more than she ever had. The main thing that got to her was the fact that she was forced to do everything. It was painful and they had her down. But when it came down to it she eventually gave in and soon after as sent into her room. She was instructed to sleep though what she did wasn't that at all. All her bags had been checked a few things were taken away from her. She happened to be more than annoyed at that point and she fixed her bed up. She had bright pink blankets ad on top of her covers sat a big stuffed penguin she got from her mother. Looking around her room it was near midnight and she changed into her pajamas. It was a bit painful and several patched of skin were covered in bandages while her wrists had been wrapped up tightly. But she pushed aside her pain and she laid in bed. Her eyes looked at the ceiling in her new room for a while before finally her mind slipped into the darkness.
By the time morning had came around she pretty much kept inside of her room. The nurse spoke to her though she never got a reaction from Astrid. She had felt hurt and her wrists burned like hell at that point. But they were secured enough so that she wouldn't able to do anything to herself. Eventually she was taken out of her room and where everyone else was suppose to be. She still more her pajamas and her hair was a wild mess. But when she saw the others she looked at them in a bit of curiosity. Everyone was sitting around simply eyeing each as if they were freaks and it caused Astrid to let out a small laugh when she looked a t them. Astrid looked around at them holding the huge plush bear in her arms. She had seen the man introduce himself and she walked from behind him and waved at everyone. "You guys should stop glaring, its a bit amusing actually." She told them and looked around. She was one of the last people to come in and she took a seat on the ground and leaned on a chair. "I'm Astrid, its a pleasure to meet you all." She told them and made eye contact with Sei. She gave him a small smile before turning to Kaede. "Want to sit with me?" The boy seemed to be rather off putting, but she was slightly interested in why he seemed to be upset already. Astrid leaned back and puled her phone out of her stuffed bears pocket and put an earbud into her ear listening to soft played music.

Talk about late. Like... really late. And on the first day, too. Peachy. Why was she even going though? Just for... one person, she supposed. Truth be told, she already 'graduated' from highschool, online. Of course, the rehab idea? Now that was all Rin's fault... And she hated it. She hated the idea of putting trust into people she didn't know- to put the trust she no longer had in the hands of strangers... It sounded like a lot to ask.

Wasn't she doing good on her own? Hadn't she made good progress even leaving her apartment on her own? Sure, the 'house' phone was unplugged from the wall, considering he had the number to it... but hey, she was doing alright. No nightmares, no constant reminders she was honestly unwell. This was just all part of the 'recovery' from the latest attempt on her life. She had begun bleeding out when Rin Sawamura found her, a knife twisted into- happy thoughts, happy thoughts.

Right, she needed to get moving. Bandages wrapped around her upper abdomen, clothes thrown on, and she was out the door. This was just going to be fine, everything was okay. Her stuff would be there, so all she had to worry about was getting there, and it wasn't like she was going to walk there herself. Despite him being an eccentric mad-man, he was still the closest thing she had to a 'friend'.

"Sangooo~! Let's get a move on, you're late!" Rin bubbled, seeing Sango as he formed that of a giant grin. She could only imagine how bad each attempt left him- how it left his state of mind.

"I know! I'm coming... Is it too late to back out, to go along with that?"

"Sango, you promised." The older gentlemen scowled, watching as she got into the car as she let out one of the softest sighs he ever heard.

    "Once again, I know."

And just like that, besides the small talk along the way, her fate was sealed. Walking into the building, Sango carefully eyed everyone before... suddenly relaxing. They looked no different then her. "This is actually a little bit relieving." Sango mumbled to herself, sending off a smile to everyone in the room before taking a seat. It was like the glares everyone sent simply... went right on over her head... But there was a certain tension to the situation she didn't like.

A introduction to everyone would get it out of the way, no doubt. "Sorry for being late. I'm Sango Fujiwara. It's a pleasure to meet all of you."

"I've cried tears you will never see, so fuck you you can go cry me an ocean and leave me be."
Dialogue Color:#800000 • Thought Color:#0099c6

Kaede was suddenly shooken from his thoughts of self pity by the words of another. It took him a while till he snapped out of his daze and looked around for who could have said something to him. He met eyes with the same man from the bus, the one he yelled at for no reason. Now that Kaede was more or less in his right mind he waved his hand at the guy to get his attention. "Hey you! Sorry for freaking out at you on the bus like that." He felt silly and turned away from the man in embarrassment. He scanned the crowd with his harsh gaze, he spied a mousy girl who seemed rather timid and to be making her best effort at socializing. A strawberry blonde who, like himself obviously didn't want to be there. Even a few introduced themselves Kaede figured he better should too. "Yeah so I'm Kaede Kurosawa, nothing real special about me." He said in his casual yet still loud voice.
Kaede then realized a girl who just introduced herself invited him to sit next to her on the ground. Though Kaede thought it silly to invite someone to sit on the ground he wouldn't deny such a humble offer from a lady. "Oh thanks, so does this place blow already or what?" This question was aimed towards Astrid but his voice prejected it to everyone close. He could care less if the 'Nurse' could hear him, he could deal with a little action.
'This place could be pretty cool anyway, I just take it one day at a time right?' His thoughts did little to encourage him, he felt lost. Hopefully he could make friends here though that seemed unlikely. His thoughts were once again broken by a female voice. This voice came from a redhead like himself, she seemed pretty but damaged. Kaede could visibly see her despair no matter how well she hid it. Kaede felt dumb, hell, he almost broke down on the first day. The people around him seemed stable for now which was always good. He sat next to Astrid for a bit before getting bored. He issued another "thanks" to her before walking around the yard and finally seeing someone who looked rather out of sorts. A girl with blonde hair who seemed to be paying more attention to her handheld game than the others. He walked over to her and peeked over her shoulder. "You good at this game? I really never could afford video games myself but a few of my friends did." Kaede being Kaede he had gotten up in her business without even saying hi.

Alice felt as though she were floating, watching the bustling world outside compared to the nearly dead atmosphere around them. Thankfully Alice was not the last to show up and she was relieved to see that she was not the only one to receive a lecture from the nurse. The lobby was filled with a whole bunch of kids being social with one another. She stood in the corner, feeling rather self conscious and awkward. Alice was never good at making friends, the few she had, had as a child abandoned her as soon as they found out there was something wrong with her. Parents warned their children to stay away, they taught them that different was bad, it was dangerous and Alice was different. So she was shunned. These kids here, they were all like her, different. They too, had been products of a neglectful society that failed to see the abuse in their heads, the premature warning signs of danger before it was too late.

Alice turned away from the window, there was no use dwelling on events she couldn't control, battles she couldn't fight. The world had turned against her, or perhaps she had turned against the world. She scanned the spacious lobby, wondering if this would be a good opportunity to make friends or if she should wait. Maybe she could start over here? A clean slate? Yes, that would be nice. So who should she converse with? Alice scanned the lobby, her eyes resting on a boy with dark red hair who was standing over the shoulder of a girl with some sort of gaming device.

Then there were two other girls, one that was sitting on the floor, the other had just walked in and introduced herself. Alice figured she would have a good shot there, when suddenly a boy with hair so light it was nearly white and two different colored eyes strode up to her, "Hello, my name is Seishinbyō Odayakana. A rather long name, so you can just call me Sei. It's a great pleasure to meet someone as lovely as you." Alice's cheeks flushed bright red, for some reason she had an unsettling feeling in her stomach. Plus, how could anyone look lovely with an NG tube? "Hello," her words were cautious, she did not know under what conditions this boy was here for and so she would take things slowly. Alice may not have been ever present in the real world, but she was smart enough to know why people were sent to a rehab center. "My name is Alice, Alice Baskerville. It's an honor to meet you as well Sei," a slow smile slid on to her lips, warmth radiating from the child. Alice could tell she was younger than him, but by how many years she couldn't fathom.

After a good five minutes, Honoka was beginning to lose hope. Everyone in the area seemed to keep to themselves for the most part. No real interaction other than an awkward glance here or there. While she was good at easing her way into a conversation between other people, Honoka always had trouble starting a one-on-one conversation with someone else. This wasn't good. Just as she had all but given up, her spirits were lifted as something caught her eye. Could it be?... Yes! The first budding signs of social interaction had finally bloomed.

She beamed at a pair who were off, further down the lobby. The male seemed to be fairly older than the girl he was talking with, as well as the majority of the rehab center's new occupants. The girl however, seemed to have something coming out of her nose, which dazzled Honoka for a short time. Or maybe it was going into her nose? It was hard for Honoka to tell from the angle she was viewing them from. She scanned their facial features, curious as to how they were interacting. 'Ooooh! She blushed! I ship them already.' Honoka thought, already delving into her habit of shipping random people, because they look good together. Her own face began glowing a light pink at the thought. While a small tinge of mutual interest did seem to spark between the two, Honoka judged that they most likely had only exchanged greetings. It would be difficult to engage in their conversation, if there wasn't already some sort of common interest she could use to her advantage. Ultimately, Honoka decided to leave them alone, while still keeping an observant eye on them.

It was then that the ever-familiar click and clack of a control pad could be faintly heard amongst the chilling silence. Turning her head towards the direction of the sound, Honoka could make out a blonde girl, who at the moment seemed to have immersed herself in a game of some sort. 'So I'm not the only girl here who likes video games, after all. That's a relief.' Curious, Honoka began edging closer and closer to the girl, until her screen came into view. A smile presented itself on Honoka's face as she realized the game that the girl was playing seemed to be one that she used to frequent a few months back. She had gotten quite good at the PC version, but eventually grew bored of it and moved on to another game. Honoka couldn't help but notice that the girl wasn't exactly doing too well. She could barely take out a third of the opponent's life bar before she got K.O.'d. 'Uwah... You would have been able to do a grapple combo if you had countered there...' Honoka couldn't help but feel disappointed, every time the girl missed a chance to turn the fight around. After watching the girl get the snot beat out of her several more times, Honoka felt a sudden urge to do something. At least start giving the girl pointers, while struggling not to unleash her full inner geek.

As she opened her mouth to do so, she was cut off by the boy who she had seen laughing earlier. She was at least relieved to see he wasn't in pain anymore. Not only that, but he also seemed to have an interest in the girl's game. There it was. Honoka took decisive action and crept closer to the pair, before speaking. "Ooooh! That's a fun one. Tell me. Which character do you main? My favorite one is Hidesaki, but Blaze Kitamura is a close second." Whoops. Honoka began to panic. Despite her efforts to restrain herself, it seems that her inner geek was simply too much to hold back. In an attempt to revise her earlier question, Honoka decided to introduce herself. "Ah... My name is Chitaba Honoka, by the way. But you can call me Chi-chan. Or whatever you want, really." She gave the two a playful smile, that didn't seem sincere in the slightest. Internally, she was freaking out, hoping that she hadn't already screwed up her chance to make friends.

Luna was ever so engrossed in her game, she had not noticed the sound of approaching footsteps. Granted, the reason for her being so focussed was her inability to defeat her opponent even once, getting in only one or two hits before getting KO'd. "You good at this game? I really never could afford video games myself but a few of my friends did." said a voice from over her shoulder. Luna, having not expected the sudden encounter, let out a small yelp and nearly dropped her game. After fumbling with the console for a bit, she finally managed to secure a hold on it and held it close to her chest with a relieved sigh. However, Luna found that sigh of relief was let out too soon as she turned around and came face to face with the male who had previously laughed loudly after the nurse's welcoming speech.

After immediately coming to the realization of who had just approached her, Luna felt her face drain and the hairs on her body stand up. Eh, eh?! He never could afford games... So is this extortion? Am I being robbed?" Luna couldn't help but run straight into worst case scenarios. Looking down at the game which she had held tightly to her chest, she considered the possibility of her being shaken down later and it being taken forcefully later. Having come to the conclusion that this was in fact an act of extortion, Luna had reluctantly readied herself to hand over the game to the male.

Before she was able to actually hand over the game, another girl had come over and introduced herself as Chitaba Honoka. She was giving a rather insincere smile, though Luna was unsure why. However, what she was sure about, was that if someone else was watching, the male wouldn't be able to take the game away at this moment. About to, once more, sigh a sigh of relief, she realized that he might find another time to take it in a more forceful manner. It was at this time that she recalled that the girl, Chitaba, had asked a question. However, she had no idea how to answer. While she had been playing the game for a while, she didn't take the time to learn any of the characters or how to play well. She attempted to reply, but felt her voice falter. Instead of forming words, all that she did was slowly flap her mouth open and closed without any sounds.
