At a young age, 6 to be exact, Mina was abruptly awaken from her sleep. Thugs dressed in black had knocked down the front door of her house and had started to steal any valuables that were in their average sized, two-story home/shrine. Her mother had rushed into Mina's bedroom, wrapped her arms around her, told her that she loved her, and then instructed Mina to hide under the bed. Confused and startled as to what was happening, Mina did as she was told, too frightened to ask any questions. Under her bed she lay, waiting to hear her mothers' voice saying it was okay to come out of hiding, that this was just some crazy game that her parents had decided to play on her and her brother. She could hear what she assumed to be her father downstairs, struggling with the intruders for some time. Glass breaking, the tearing of furniture, thumps and thuds from hearing bodies slam into walls. This seemed to go on for some time until it suddenly stopped. Then Mina could hear the rushing of footsteps up the stairs. She could hear doors being slammed from her parents room, her brothers room, and finally, they made it to her room. Then all she could hear was screaming and flailing as the thugs beat and killed her mother. During this time, Mina could do nothing but close her eyes and hope to god, any god who could hear her, that they would not find her located under the bed. She did nothing, for there was nothing she could do, until she started to hear the footsteps get farther and farther away and then disappear. Daylight finally filtered into her room and she took this as her sign to leave her secret spot. But she immediately wished she hadn't. Her mother's lifeless body lay on her bedroom floor, in a pool of blood. Her room had been destroyed. Anything that she had owned, that she considered dear to her heart, was either stolen or broken. She made her way downstairs to discover her father had suffered the same fate as her mother. But her brother was nowhere to be found. It was like he had either been kidnapped or he had made a getaway during the events of the horrible night. It wasn't until her later years that she discovered her father was working for a man in the Black Market, doing experiments and other illegal activities at this man's bidding. And when her father finally refused to keep doing these acts, the mysterious man decided to take action. And that leads to where she is now; alone, looking for her brother and tracing down this "mysterious man" who had taken her life away from her.
