☞Personality☜
Johnny Castellano is a hard man but one that is not beyond reason. Known for his violent outbursts and temper as well as his aggressive approach to any who oppose him Big John equally is known for being easy to approach. Despite being the Boss of Bosses John has an every man quality that associates and made men alike find refreshing and admirable. John seems to be just as at home strolling through the seediest parts of town as he is in the swankiest mansion. A man who seems completely content with the blood that is associated with his life style as long as it protects whats his and keeps his family safe. Saying John is power hungry would be a poor assumption. He cares less about personal power as much as he cares about ensuring his families long time stability.

When dealing with his enemies however if there is one thing to be said about John is that he can be brutal and savage. In the past he took a man's hand for stealing from him at a local bar. He had a man's tongue cut out on a separate occasion after an hour of beatings for calling his sister a skank. When it comes to it John can be a fearsome man to go up against. He goes so far as to see it as a necessity in order to keep people in line and keep things moving. He sees fear as an important part of the family business if not one of the most important part.

One of the softer sides of Johnny's personality is his love for animals, especially pit bulls. He has a special place in his heart for the animals and feels they get a bad rap. As a result he's made it a personal mission of his to rescue as many of these animals as he can even going so far as to own and operate a pit bull rescue in the city. He bank rolls the non profit organization with his own personal money. The volunteers and full time staff have little qualms working for the notorious mobster as he keeps his business far from the shelter.

Whether its quick and quite or loud and long one thing you can always count on is that you're gunna know who was responsible. John doesn't see much point in a hit if people don't know who to pay credit to for it. He's not dumb enough to incriminate himself but he's makes damn sure to leave some sort of calling card behind. When he offs someone he wants the whole city to know who to pay tribute too and who to fear.

On the day to day Johnny usually only carries a Glock 17 and switchblade.

Johnny is a skilled boxer and trains almost daily as his form of exercise. A brutal fighter up close who enjoys squaring off with people one on one. Johnny also has an extensive knowledge of the butchers trade form the shop his father made him work in when he was a kid. He is actually a pretty good butcher and is known to still be good friends with the butcher he apprenticed under when he was a boy. Beyond that he's a pretty good shot with most guns.

Johnny's primary weakness is easily his temper. He's easily to rile up and can be a bit hard headed. He's overly blunt and as a result can have difficulty maneuvering around those who are particularly crafty.

☞History☜
John 'Johnny' Castellano was born with a destiny to rule the most powerful crime family in the Cosa Nostra. His father, Anthony Castellano, however had no intention of just handing over his legacy to some young man who grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth. So in order to make sure John would become the man his family needed him to be Tony Castellano forced John to earn his bones like any other man. He had Johnny go on runs for the other made guys. He got a job working as a butchers apprentice and went to public school. As Johnny grew up he started showing an early aptitude for the life. Johnny started earning all the other kids in schools lunch money off them as a bookie, running bets on the schools sporting events. Later as John began moving up in the organization he began boosting cars for the family and enforcing for the loan sharks that worked for his old man. Johnny quickly earned himself a reputation as a tough and reliable bruiser who never shied away from a fight. It wasn't until Johnny Boy got himself popped that he really earned the respect of the older guys.

It was one his first armored car robbery that things went bad and the driver got shot by one of the other guys. They all got away from the coops except Johnny. He got cornered and arrested. Johnny for 6 months but never said a word. They said that John Castellano didn't so much as cough since the cuffs went on. Now with the respect of the made men John got tasked with his first hit. Then his second, then his fifth. John continued to rise through the ranks but as he rose he started to notice the wolves lurking in the distance. His cousins, the children of Vincent Castellano. They seemed to be growing with discontent. Openly they never opposed his old man, they weren't stupid enough for that but it was the whispers and the side talking. The subtle looks that John. He had even got into a fight or two with Vincent's oldest son to which his father reprimanded him harshly for.

Before long John was made a Made Man, it was actually only days before his brothers wedding. They all celebrated at the wedding. Yet even there Johnny could see the storm that was coming. With each passing day his father grew weaker and the whispers of dissent grew stronger. As his fathers days grew shorter John was made Under Boss and took on more and more responsibility. Eventually he was practically running things already, his father's passing just granted him the title to the job he'd been preforming for the better part of the past year.
