Addison looked at the head master and slipped down a little in her seat. "Now now, I don't think this is something you should be drinking, now is it?"She shook her head and watch quietly as he took the goblet and took a sip from it, she held her breath expecting to be taken to his office with him for a stern talking to but was surprised when her said "Not bad, but please take note, you are forbidden to use magic in the dining hall young lady, don't let me see it again....5 points off Gryffindor." She waited for him to leave before speaking.

"At least he liked the rum." she said thinking of the positive, 5 points wasnt to bad, he had prehaps gone a little easy on her, but she was a first year, that could have been why, she definatly was not expecting the not bad. Addison wanted to change the subject rather quickly after thinking about it. "So...Erica, Nalani, what are you two most looking forward to this year?" She asked softly smiling a little

Emaleigh was eating quietly, pleased to have begun her second year as a Hogwarts professor. Sure she was a young, newly employed witch, but she was definitely capable of her job. She began cutting her food into tiny minuscule squares as she noticed one of the students, a Gryffindor named Addison, preforming magic. She quirked an eyebrow, deciding to merely spectate considering that Headmaster Utelias already stood to handle the matter. Apparently she made the water into an alcoholic beverage, seeing as the headmaster confiscated the drink from the student. It brought a smile to her face, and quiet laughter. She couldn't remember how many times Dumbledore caught her doing the exact same thing. She slowly ate, watching the students curiously. She recently acquired the title of Ravenclaw's Headmistress. The thought brought her attention to Cyrus, Willow, and Casey. They were three of the interesting children. She hoped those three would prove promising. She'd have to keep a close eye on all three.

The Headmaster approached her and Alexander, one of her fellow teachers and voiced his concerns about the first year students, she nodded, wiping her mouth with a napkin quickly, "Yes sir." She smiled confidently, "I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as always, but as for your concerns.. I'll definitely keep them in mind." She added, expecting the best out of each and every one of them despite their rough start, even the Slytherin children. After the Headmaster left, she looked over to Alexander, "What classes do you teach this year? I've got Charms and Astronomy." She took a careful bite, looking at her own goblet. What I wouldn't do for some rum at this point.. She thought, almost sighing to herself. Wine would be even better.. She thought, green eyes shifting back to her colleague. She brushed some of her red hair behind her ears, looking to the students with a brighter smile. They were the reason she kept from drinking. She wanted to watch each and every single one of them become great witches and wizards. If she was drinking she'd miss their progress, she didn't want to let any of her students down. It scared her thinking that she could miss a chance to keep a student from becoming a dark wizard. Of course Voldemort was gone, but new evils always surfaced in the real world. She wasn't about to pretend that Hogwarts would live in this state of peace forever. If she could convince one student to remain on the good side, then in her mind she'd accomplished her job as a teacher at Hogwarts.

Alex was eating his way through a filet, complaining internally that it wasn't to the temperature that he desired. He noticed a student casting magic, and just chuckled remembering when he was a student at Hogwarts. He saw Felix pick up the goblet and drink it himself, and tilted his head of confusion. "Her older brother probably taught her how to do that.." Alex chuckled to himself again as he continued eating his steak. Alex was nervous though, since the drastic loss in professors Alex is now teaching more than one class and is the head of the Slytherin House. The Slytherin students didn't look all that bad this year, though he did notice that a Weasley was placed into Slytherin this year, but at least from what he could see, she was making friends with some other students already. Alex looked over at Emaleigh, seeing her amusement towards Felix confiscating Addison's drink. He was fixing up to say something, until it was interrupted by Felix confronting them and explaining his concerns about the first-years. He listens to Emaleigh's remark to it then adds in, "I guess I can be a little more responsible this year."

After the Headmaster left, Emaleigh asked Alexander what classes he'll be teaching this year. "Potions and Defense against the Dark Arts." Alex states exchanging eye contact with Emaleigh. She then put her hair behind her ear and gave off this just beautiful smile, Alex began to just stare like the whole world was slowing down, but snapped out of it. "Did she see that?" Alex silently thought in his head. Alex began to brainstorm some creative ways as to how he will start off his lessons for the year, while continuing to observe the new student's behavior around the dining hall.

Katilyn was taken aback from the girl's bold behavior. She'd noticed as she quietly munched on what was left of her roll. Her blue eyes fell on Headmaster Utelias afterwards. Oh crap. She's about to get the first scolding.. It wasn't exactly like she'd drank from the cup.. but it still wasn't allowed. She wasn't quite sure what he'd said to her, because it was a situation where her extendable ears weren't useful. So she just took a jab at the situation, concluding that the Gryffindor girl got punished or at least she assumed because of the older students sour expressions.

She watched out of the corner of her eye as the Headmaster Utelias approached the other teachers. She grabbed another roll, taking a small bite so as to not look suspicious. As curious as she was, she didn't want to be known as an eavesdrop. She was taken from her snooping though as she heard Vlad's displeasure towards how the Headmaster handled the situation. She grinned slightly amused, but kept her thoughts to herself. He's a bit of a mischievous one.

She blew some of her red hair out of her face, before answering Vlad, "There are house elves that cook the food and clean our common rooms. The magic simply transports all this stuff to the tables." She informed him, a little more than confident in her knowledge. She wasn't boasting about it, but she did take pride in what she knew.

She took a second bite out of her new roll, "She did get scolded, and from the look on all of their faces, she got points deducted from Gryffindor." She attempted to assure him, although she was starting to figure out the negativity that the hat had mentioned. Why does he already hate them? They haven't said two words to us yet. She decided to not pry into it, how he felt wasn't any of her business and as much as she wanted to correct the behavior, she didn't have a foot to stand on. She swung her feet under the table, seeing as they didn't touch the ground. She was one of the shorter students after all. Maybe not even five feet tall if she removed her shoes.

"I look forward to it." She replied back, though she assumed he meant a different sort of great than she'd implied, but it could be discussed at a later date. His followup question was more imminent. She looked up at the ceiling, admiring the stars as she thought of her answer, "It's not what I expected, it's a lot different than what I used to think about before I received my letter.." She laughed a bit, shrugging her shoulders afterwards in order to pretend it didn't bother her, "Looking back, I don't see how I expected to be placed in Gryffindor like the rest of my family.. I'm nothing like them.."

"Personally, I think Ravenclaw is more fun. It's... more spontaneous, less strict, and more creative. My brother's in his fifth year in Ravenclaw and loves it. Besides, blue's my favorite color!" Casey's enthusiasm seemed to fluxuate around her, and Willow nodded, her blonde curls bouncing tightly as she did so,

"So your dad went here did he? That sounds interesting. My father was a Gryffindor and my mother a Ravenclaw. I think both are great houses, especially their quidditch teams."

Willow raised her eyebrow, her dark brown eyes lightening a bit more from the dark clouds that hovered above them only moments before. She nods, taking a bite out of a dinner roll.

"Quidditch? You thinking of joining?" She tilts her head to the side, noticing Casey's eye motions float over towards another boy and Willow decides to take a look too.

Her eyes flicker over to the boy studying him for a moment, then back to Casey.

"I don't have anything to compare you to, no worries." Ash looked over at Isaac who gave her a nervous smile, seeming to almost mess up his hair uncounsiously, making it look like a birds nest and caused her to giggle slightly as she sent him a friendly smile, [b]"I haven't got any friends..", he said and Ash gave him a curious frown as he took a drink, "I.. I guess we can be friends.".

Ash couldn't help but smile before bumping his shoulder playfully, "Well than I am honoured to be you first friend.", Before looking over at the other guy who had offered his hand out towards her.
"I'd love to be friends with you! I'm Oliver Strattenburg! It's a pleasure!", Laughing happily, she took his hand and shook it eagerly. "Thanks Ollie, It's great that we're all friends now, so let's get along really well!", she commented before letting go of his hand and glancing around the hall again at the many students from all the other houses while the two boys introduced themselves to each other.

"I'm Isaac Wright... It seems we're all going to see a lot of each other. Friends would be great.. I hope we all can get along..", she grinned at the two boys before the candles caught her attention once again, leaning back in her chair so that she lay completely bent over backwards on the stool and could now see the dark sky up above perfectly. Everyone looked slightly funny upside down but the sky was beautiful and she felt less lonely knowing her family was looking up at the same sky as herself.

Pulling herself back into an upright position, she took a scoop of some strawberry and chocolate ice cream, placing it on her clean plate and beginning to eat the sugery sweet. "I'm so happy they have ice cream, otherwise I might of just died from the sheer horror!, she joked out as she glanced around the hall again, it seemed as if there was always something new and interesting to see. It was all in all, perfectly fascinating.

Addison didn't eat to much, she didn't want to eat though, she wanted to get settled, sort her things out and get prepared for the first day of Classes, she looked around at the other tables before looking back at her half empty plate, she glanced over at the teachers table as well, they all looked fairly nice, but she knew that there was always one teacher that was a little more strict, if not a lot more strict than the other teachers. Some people were just that way, she always told herself, but she knew safety was important, she was always told that safety was first, or its better to be safe than to be sorry, and she fully agreed, especially since they all had wands, wands that were capable of injuring people if a spell is cast incorrectly, magic looked easy enough, but that didnt mean it wasnt dangerous.

Nalani froze in place when the Headmaster made his way over to the table. “This isn’t good…this isn’t good.” Nalani repeated to herself in her head. "Now now, I don't think this is something you should be drinking, now is it?" Nalani’s eyes widen a little, looking up at the Headmaster. She watched as he picked up the goblet then took take a sip. “He’s drinking it?” thought Nalani. "Not bad, but please take note, you are forbidden to use magic in the dining hall young lady, don't let me see it again....5 points off Gryffindor." She sighed in relief as he walked away. 5 points isn’t so bad.

After a few moments Addison spoke out. "At least he liked the rum." Erica let out a short laugh at the comment. Erica’s laugh made Nalani laugh a little, covering her mouth over her hand. "It was still pretty wicked." responded Erica. Nalani nodded in agreement. Only a few minutes being a student at Hogwarts, Nalani has already found students to call friends. Nalani thought it would be difficult to make friends, but now she realized she was wrong. This might be an interesting year for her.

"So...Erica, Nalani, what are you two most looking forward to this year?" Addison asked, breaking the silence. "I guess I'll have to say the flying class and Potions for sure!" Erica responded, finishing the food on her plate. Nalani looked at Addison and Erica. “For me it would be Potions and Transfiguration. Mostly potions though, it’s the main thing I’m looking forward to.”

Vladmir nods his head. "You definitely seem like a unique person." Vladmir says to Katilyn smirking and glancing over at her. Vladmir began to scope out various foods for dessert, as he knew the feast was coming to an end, he takes a couple cupcakes and a big scoop of vanilla ice cream right onto his plate and begins to eat more. "I seriously feel like I'm going to gain some major weight attending here.." Vladmir groans as he's extremely full but wants to finish. Suddenly, something comes up in Vlad's head. "Wait, so have you met Hermione Granger? The one and only? She's married to Ron, correct?" Vlad questions curiously.

Emma laughed, nodding her head, "Perhaps.." She spoke aloud, though it was mostly Emma talking to herself. She paid close attention to each of her students. Casey Andrews, caught her eyes particularly. She was one of the children that caught her interest out of all the students in Ravenclaw. She was different from other girls, her style alone screamed originality. Emma had been a Ravenclaw herself, so she guessed it only seemed suited she was to be the headmistress of Ravenclaw house. She looked to Alex, a bit curious as to why he was chosen to be head of Slytherin. Was he a Slytherin student himself..? She pondered, carefully stealing glances at him out of the corner of her eye. She didn't want to be caught, by him, nor her students. She wished to avoid the start of rumors of any nature. Though she was completely oblivious to the fact that Alex had been staring at her mere moments before! Felix was going a little to easy on the first years in her opinion, but it wasn't her choice in how the Headmaster decided to punish the students for their indiscretions. Taking a few bites of her food, her olive orbs landed on one of the students in Slytherin house, Vladmir.. She could sense the darkness in the boy, the girl he was sitting beside.. they were like Yin and Yang. She felt obvious concern for the Weasley, wondering if the dark child beside her would taint the bright child. Sure it wasn't her house to be concerned with.. she still felt anxious.. Turning her gaze to Hufflepuff, she smiled a little at the friendly children all eager to make friends. Though the boys seemed a little more hesitant and shy..

Lastly, her eyes fell on Gryffindor, the surprisingly troublesome house this year. Not an hour into the school year and they'd already had points docked. She decided to watch the Gryffindor girl quite closely. She wasn't getting away with her antics under Emaleigh's watch. Horseplay will not do.. I won't have it in my classroom.. They'll do best to figure that out sooner rather than later.




Katilyn swallowed a bite of her roll, tilting her head curiously. She'd never actually thought of herself as unique, actually she found herself to be quite boring. She turned her gaze away nervously, struggling for a reply. Come on Katilyn, it's a compliment, take it! Don't be rude! She scolded herself, blue eyes darting along the table, as if looking for something else to eat, despite the fact that her meal only consisted of rolls thus far, "Y-you think so?" Was all she could manage to reply with, taking a quite gulp of pumpkin juice as an excuse to avoid speaking for a few more seconds..

"You're a boy. Your metabolism can manage through it." She replied, small laughter escaping through her fingers, having attempted to silence it before it begun. Then the obvious questions arose. Hermione, Ron, Harry would soon begin as well she assumed. She straightened up in her seat, running a hand through her red hair as she prepared to address his curiosity.

"Yes. Hermione is my aunt by marriage to uncle Ron. Harry's my uncle by marriage to aunt Ginny.. I've got famous Gryffindor blood everywhere I turn.." She replied back, taking another sip of her juice. Right now speaking of her family was almost painful. She could already imagine their disappointment. She'd have to tell them soon, but she couldn't fathom writing the letter. "George Weasley is my father.. and my mother died when I was born.." She finished her second roll, wiping her mouth with a napkin neatly before sticking to the pumpkin juice. He mother surprisingly was an easier topic for Katilyn. She never met her so she wasn't exactly sad about the fact that she was dead. How could she miss someone she never met? Besides, her father was awesome.. I just want.. to be as good of a witch as mother..

Minerva McGonagall watched as the students talked to each other and ate the food the Headmaster placed on the tables. “It seems everyone is starting to make friends with their houses and having a wonderful time.” thought McGonagall. She looked over at the time and saw it was time to take the students to their houses. McGonagall got up from her seat and walked over to the front of the students. “Alright everyone, it’s time to escort you to your houses.”

Isaac was a little startled when Ash started laughing. It was cute, but at the same time it made him feel incredibly self conscious. What did I do that's so funny? He asked himself in bewilderment. He couldn't come up with what he'd done that was so amusing, so he simply replied with a a weary smile. He wasn't used to this kind of interaction and the way she frowned later only verified he was horrible company. I'm not cut out for stuff like this.. He thought, his mood plummeting by the second.

Though he felt his face instantly grow warm as he felt a collision of their shoulders. He looked to her wide eyed and silent, just staring for a few moments before nodding his head. First friend..? I guess one or two won't interrupt my studies.. He thought with a timid smile. Luckily he wasn't require to respond again so soon, he still was sort of caught up in the prior moment. Aside from family, he'd never spoken to a girl before, and now he was friends with one? He felt slightly accomplished, though he realized the achievement was mostly Ash's doing.

She laughed again with the other boy, nodding as well. She's so friendly and charismatic.. She almost glows in the presence of others.. He thought, but began eating quietly. He didn't want to blush again.. else they'd think he was a recluse. It was true, but they didn't have to become none the wiser. He fixed his hair as he swallowed a bite, growing full now. He wasn't a picky eater, he quite enjoyed food honestly, but he just didn't have a large appetite for a boy.

He looked over again, once he'd grown the courage, only to quirk a dirty blonde eyebrow at the blonde girl next to him. She's staring at the ceiling? He looked up for the first time since he'd arrived, smiling a bit. So she likes stars? He rubbed the back of his neck before starting conversation once more, "You'll love Astronomy if you like that spell." He told her, fidgeting with the sleeves of his robes. Talking this much was unusual for Isaac, but Ash intrigued him. He wasn't too sure about Oliver yet, the boy seemed eccentric but he didn't know much more than his name. Ash was already throwing her personality out for everyone to see. He envied her for that trait. In that way, he wanted to be more like her.

"I like Sherbet... but I couldn't eat another bite if I wanted to.." He laughed quietly, before looking around as well, "Can you believe Gryffindor was already docked points?" He asked, then he remembered she wasn't born to the wizarding world... well... according to the sorting hat's hint, "I mean... they're usually strait-laced when it comes to rules and code of conduct.. If you ever have a question.. I'll try to answer it... I'm better with books and spells than people.. so.. I'd be glad to help."

Though they were cut short by Professor McGonagall's next words, "The houses are supposed to be amazing.. though pay attention when we make it there.. without the password we can't come and go.. Mostly to keep the other houses out of our common rooms."

Vladmir gives a faint smirk, and nods. "I do think so, I don't believe I've met a girl like you ever, before." Vladmir forces down some dessert as Katilyn tells him he can manage it. "I suppose so, but thinking of feasts like this, I've never before had food so excellent." Then Vlad listened for Kat's answers as if she had already explained it a million times before, feeling slightly bad for asking as she probably gets constantly bugged about it. "I've read all of the tales of Harry Potter, Voldemort may be gone but I'm sure another Dark Lord will rise." Vlad states confidently. He storms through his mind, secretly despising Harry Potter in his thoughts, for slaying Voldemort. His thoughts are interrupted by Professor McGonagall who instructed that it was time to be lead back to the houses. A prefect begins to call everyone over to be lead to their common room. "Come on!" Vlad said to Katilyn grabbing her hand and pulling her along with him. They were lead corridor through corridor, Vlad tried to remember exactly where they had went to eventually wind up to, the Slytherin Common Room. "Password? The painting asked the prefect. "Venomous." The painting swung open, revealing an entrance into the room, everyone piled in along with the prefect to see banners of Slytherin, a cozy fire, big comfortable furniture, and more. Vladmir took a big look around, realizing he was still holding Katilyn's hand, quickly pulling it away. "Oops.." Vlad coughed out blushing. The prefect silenced everyone, trying to say more. "Boy's dormitories to the left, Girl's dormitories to the right, you will find labeled where you will be staying for the year once you go, goodnight everyone." The prefect walks off to the boy's dormitory, and the common room launches into the same bit of noise as The Great Hall, seeing that everyone was making themselves comfortable, Vladmir leaped into a rather large chair before everything was taken, not quite ready to go to sleep yet.

Nalani slowly walked into her dorm room, holding her suitcase in her left hand. Eyeing around, she could tell that she would be sharing the room with other female Gryffindor classmates. Nalani sighed as she placed her suitcase on top of her bed. “This is going to be the first night here in Hogwarts,” thought Nalani “I still haven’t figured out which classes to sign up for.” Nalani took her belongings out of her suitcase then placed it under her bed. After a few brief moments of placing everything in order she went under the covers of her bed. “This is going to be an interesting year for me. I hope everything goes well.”
