"This is gonna be awesome!" I was boarding the train that would take me to Hogwarts, the best magic school in the world. And I'm not talking about making a bunny come out of a hat magic. I'm talking about levitation spells, potions, and all that kind of stuff. I got amnesia when I was 7, so I didn't remember anything except I was a half-blood. I had lived my life in a orphanage, until the letter came. Now, I w as finally going to Hogwarts. I got on the train and looked for a compartment. I tripped and felt myself bump into someone. "Heh, sorry." I stood up and saw the boy I had bumped into. He had shaggy black hair and was wearing a black robe. Next to him there was two boys, one had blonde hair and one had black hair. They were all wearing their black robes, so I wondered if I should have put mine on. He was about my height, but he looked a few years older, though not that much. "Sorry, I'm new here, so I don't really know my way around. My name's Dawn. What's yours?"

"Hey, who's that girl? And why is she looking at James like she's expecting him to do something?" 'What is up with all these people being in groups of three?' I thought.

"sorry the three of us are fourth yeas and as for why miss Lilly Evans is looking at James like he's about to do something is because he's about to James if you even think abou castin a spell on this first year I'll make sure you have detention" Remus said "aww relax moony I wasn't gonna do anything to her I was gonna do something to Snivellus over there" James said as he shouted "LEVICORPUS" hanging a skinny pale boy upside down revealinghis underwear.

"James! put him down!" Lily shouted in exasperation, rushing to the scene and glaring at James. "Honestly, could you be nice for atleast one second in the day and not cast spells on people!?" She shouted a look of fury in her eyes, expecting James to do something even more frustrating. "Anyways, this is a new friend of mine, her names Brianna" Said lily, revealing the short and very young first year who had been tagging along with lily since first meeting her.

A man led us to room, where we were greeted by a lady in green clothing. "Hello. I'm Minerva McGonall and I am here to take you to your sorting. You will be put into seperate houses. They will be like your home for the rest of the year." She talked about what we would do and some house competition. I wonder what house I'll be in, and if I'll be with Breanna. Even if we're not put into the same house, I'm sure this'll be exciting!

It took no more than a few minutes for the carriages to reach the castle, and ily was veyr cramped, sandwiched inbetween Molly Prewitt, and a ravenclaw girl she had never met before. Once they unloaded the carriage she sighed in thanks. The carriages were rather large, but unfortunatly they had all climbed into an older model. Upon enterring the great hall shewas awarded with the smell of food. She sat at the gryffindor table, waiting for the sorting to begin.
Gracen turned to Dawn, "this is exciting" She whispered in pure happyness. "I always imagined my life to be as boring as my parents, but here I am, a witch, about to be sorted!" She was becoming increasingly excited.

Ms.McGonagall led us to a huge hall. I saw four tables full with students,which I guess stood for the 4 houses. Ms. McGonagall started calling names, and when a student was chosen, they stepped up and put on a hat. And it talked. That was so cool! Anyway, it told everyone what house the student would be in. Soon, me and Breanna were next. I pretty much zoned out when she got up there.'I wonder what house I'll be in. I could be in Hufflepuff, I'm loyal and honest. Well, not that honest when I'm about to get in trouble, but enough.Or I could be in Gryffindor or Ravenclaw, I'm brave and smart. Maybe Slytherin, or maybe not. everyone says they're sneaky and mean, but maybe they're just misunderstood. maybe t-' "Hufflepuff!" The hats shout brought me back to reality. Guess it's my turn. I stepped up and put it on. "Hmm. Quite some loyalty and honesty here. Not a bad mind at all. Some great ambition, and, ooh! An amazing amount of bravery. Now, where shall I put you? Well, that's intriguing. I can't decide." I panicked. 'Can't decide? Oh no! What if I'm not meant to be here? What if this was a mistake? Wha-CALM DOWN! I mentally scolded myself. 'He's probably just taking his time. Maybe I can be in all the houses. Okay, so maybe not, but that would be so cool!Besides, if they don't let me in, I'll sneak my way into Hogwarts! Nobody, Nobody, is gonna stop me. I didn't take the train for miles just to be turned back. I'm not going back to that little orphanage where they act like I'm some little baby feeling sorry for myself! Well, except for the owner of course, I actually like him. But I'm not going back. No way.'

Gracen smiled as th hat shouted out Hufflepuff, she was told that the house was loyal and trustworthy, she walked calmly towards the table, and sat down, watching with curious eyes as Dawn was beign sorted, it seemed to take a while, and gracen was becoming very antsy, she knew even if Dawn wasnt in the same house they would stay friends. She smiled reasurringly up at where Dawn sat with the hat.
