Hawkins is a small Midwestern town located in Roane County in the state of Indiana, with an estimated population of 30,000, and prior to 1983, Hawkins was a largely quiet and uneventful town. The greatest point of interest was the secretive Hawkins National Laboratory, one of several national laboratories which grew out of the scientific endeavors of World War II. Unknown to the residents of the town, the lab was contributing to the controversial government program known as MKUltra. In November 1983, during experiments at the laboratory, a gate was accidentally opened to an alternate dimension, allowing a predatory creature to enter Hawkins.
In the year following its creation, the creatures used the Gate as a means to spread, what was coined, the "Upside Down’s" toxic biological growth, slowly invading the town of Hawkins. It was eventually closed in 1984, presumably severing the Upside Down’s connection to the human world.
Five years on from there everything had seemingly gone back to normal, the small town was quiet once more, and the disappearances and deaths had stopped. Most involved in the previous events have since left the town, possibly hoping to forget or maybe to run away. That was however until June 1989; when the first disappearance in three years was brought to the Sheriff's attention, just a random person who had seemingly dropped from college, and not gotten back in touch with anyone since, but week after week, the disappearances began to stack up, and people were starting to notice a change in others. Then, two children seemingly appear out of nowhere in the Hawkins Forest with abilities some only dare to dream of.

This role-play (if you haven't guessed it already ;) ) follows a "new" group of characters in Hawkins about five years after the events of Stranger Things S3. YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE SEEN THE SHOW TO JOIN. Yes, it is based off the show, and yes the "troupes" I have selected are very similarly to the preexisting characters but I would really like to have a new, fresh set of characters take on the horrors of the upside down. It will begin with the disappearance of the "Lost Boy" character and the essential prison break out of the lab for Experiments 12&13. I plan on having events happen within segments of "Episodes" to help guide the plot, and I will update the episodes page accordingly as we move along. As for prexisting knowledge of the show, just know that a door to another dimension has opened releasing these, also these, and a maybe little bit of these scary guys into the town of Hawkins.
1. ALL SITE RULES APPLY, and every character has their strengths and weaknesses!
2. Please notify, when you will be gone for a long period of time or going to be inactive! I would like to really keep this alive and going!
3. Reservations to be posted in the OOC! When you reserve I need name, role, face claim, and hex.
4. As you can see some of the characters have pre-existing relationships (siblings, friends, etc.) so just keep that in mind when reserving. AS FOR FACECLAIMS, the roles of; the leader, the brain, the fighter, the lost, experiment 12, experiment 13, and the new kid all need to be around 13-15 years of age. The roles of; the big brother, the big sister, the babysitter, and the sheriffs kid need to be around 16-18 years of age. Please keep in mind the gender ratios! If you would like to also leave a 250x250 photo for the front that would be great! If you do not have these sorted out yet, its alright! I will update the main page as we go on. Please have at least WIP by 48 hours, and if that's not possible please message me! I will be posting a simple CS in the OOC
