Name: Jin'ichi (Jin)
Age: 20
Preferred Clothing: Jin dresses simply, neatly, precisely, and always in dark colors. Most often, he dons a shirt, vest, and waistcoat, as well as well-tailored pants and knee-high boots, but occasionally he can be found in the library with the coat gone, and his sleeves rolled to his elbows, bright blond hair slightly disheveled.
Role: Light- the element of truth, illumination, and the banishing of all pretense. Light can scald the eyes, or be a soothing, welcome thing, harsh or gentle, weak or strong.
How Strong is Your Bond?: TBA
Protector: Zahra
Weapon: Two long knives, dual wielded.
Skill: Jin's greatest asset is his mind. He's less organized than his older brother, but brilliant. He spends most of his time in his library/study area. His mind is often just as tactical as innovative, and for this reason, he is a formidable opponent at just about anything that interests him. The downside to this is that he is easily bored, and things and/or people can rarely hold his interest for long, hence his propensity to live as something of a recluse.
Fighting Style: Highly technically proficient. Jin relies not on raw strength or speed, but precision and the ability to anticipate what is coming.
What's in your Castle Room: He rarely spends much time in his bedroom; indeed, the library could be seen as "his" room. It is, perhaps predictably enough, filled with books.
Personality: In short: kind, but awkward. Jin is an intellectual first and foremost, and spends days at a time reading when he can, sometimes so engrossed in the pursuit of knowledge that he forgets to eat. Because of his habit to isolate himself from the outside world, he is quite socially-awkward, and is likely to simply blurt what he is thinking without really stopping to consider how it might affect other people. He tends to think aloud, and can sometimes be seen wandering the halls muttering to himself about something or another.
What he is researching, though, is quite often science or technology to improve the lives of the citizenry, and this belies another dominant personality trait: he is a compassionate soul, and ultimately seeks the best for his people. He just... can't really do it in the same way as others might be able to, with the speeches and the politicking. He detests any form of lie, and cannot bring himself to tell one either, making him singularly unsuited to the world of court games. He is polite, chivalrous, but largely distant when interacting with others, at least until he's comfortable with them. He's probably the least well-known amongst the populace, for his benevolence is well-hidden at his own behest.
Despite spending large chunks of time indoors, he is not averse to being outside, and occasionally has been known to disappear into the woods for a good long walk or something.
Distinguishing Features: Bright blond hair, soulful gray eyes, the tendency to talk to himself when there's nobody else around.
Quirks: When Jin feels he's on the cusp of something important, his eyes light with intellectual fervor, and he tends to forget his reticence to talk to people. He can also be quite charming generally- if you can keep up in a conversation with him, that is.
Likes: Books, knowledge, his library, getting lost in thought.
Dislikes: Ignorance, lies, people disposed to either, social gatherings, large groups.
Fears: Anything happening to Adio- the thought of having to be heir petrifies him, large crowds, his family coming to harm generally.
History: Jin grew up as the much less socially-apt brother of Adio, and was from a young age a rather shy individual in the first place. He was rather fond of the palace archivist, though, and his tutors loved him dearly, so well did he take to every lesson put before him. He found his niche in study, and thought to help his brother's future rule by improving the lives of the citizens as much as he was able. It's still his aspiration, in fact.
He's close to all his brothers, and his logical tendencies coupled with his honesty mean that in disputes, he is most often the mediator. He dislikes seeing the members of his family fight amongst themselves, and generally tries to do what he can to prevent it from happening.
