Luto stopped, and frowned "Its a long story..when i was 17, i was in love with a girl named Eliza, but i called her lizzy, we were dating for two years, on Christmas eve, we were out for a drive through the streets of new york, when it felt like out car had been punched, so hard that out car went off the bridge..." Luto turned around, her back, had a large gash, the went from her right hip to her left shoulder, the scar looked deep, like it had impaled her "...I had survived, but Eliza...." Luto stopped for a second ".....Eliza had several glass shards impaling her, and she had her skull cracked...So, i was an idiot, and tried to talk to her, but...as you can see..I fucked up and now its demons galore... I trusted the wrong person... "
Luto pulled out a cigarette, putting it in her mouth and lighting it "but...thats my life, im used to it..Plus i like fighting so killing demons is cool"

"Im sorry about your girlfriend Luto. I know what it like to lose someone you care about. Its not fun and you try to do everything you can think of to help them in any way you can but at the same time you feel helpless to do anything" snow said and would then sigh and then looked at luto "but at the same time, I think everyone is given a second chance for a reason, what that reason is, only the universe and the ones who give that second chance knows." snow added chuckling at her saying about fighting demons and would see that dia finished eating and would let dia stretch before flying. "snow, Luto. I am ready when you both are" dia said in both luto and snows minds.

Back at the troll market Rubi and shade were still trying to find traces of abe and snow. "anything shade?" as rubi walked up to him as he came from the shadows. "no nothing even the shadows dont have anything, but there was a large battle about 10 miles from here, the fairies have talked about a elf and a human beating them. Im unsure if its snow because I cant get anymore information. As you know the shadows have many secrets that lie within them." Shade said as he would dust off his shirt. "but I will continue looking" shade added "no not right now, rest. I know looking for shadows takes a lot out of you, even though you are a shadow demon yourself" rubi said to him and would go back into her shadow to follow her around to rest. As rubi would look around the market place she found a vendor who sold old items from an old age and era. She found a small bracelet that had a tree with a ring around it, she remembered it as she had read the book about the golden army with snow. "how much for this, my friend would like that very much" rubi said and the vendor looked at her "its free, no one has bought it for some time now, also you can have this weapon along with it" the vendor said handing the bracelet and weapon to rubi who smiled "Snow is gonna love this!" she said and would walk back to where she was where she met up with shade.


After about 20 minutes from meeting shade, rubi heard a roar and saw a dragon land just outside the troll market and saw snow and another person. Rubi ran up to her and would look at snow "and where on earth have you been snow?! and who is this?" rubi asked and snow looked at her "This is Luto, she was a great help with the demons. which we need to get a hold of hellboy because, demons are now appearing outside the troll market. Lizard demons to be precise, they have to be finding a way from where hellboy is trying to contain them." Snow said to rubi as dia would get low so both her and luto could get down from the saddle. "Luto this is my friend rubi, the shadow beneath her is shade, he kinda like her familiar but in a human form" snow said to Luto and Luto could see the bracelet and the weapon that rubi was given by the vendor.

Luto glanced at the bracelet "Nice to meet you two" she smiled before she stared at the weapon "Where'd ya get that?" She walked towards it more, bending over a bit to get a better look at it. She didn't seem to mind that the shadow was a person. Her hair fell a bit off her face. She examined the weapon with her one good eye, her white one following the others movements, but having no use. She looked at the bracelet too, then stood back up and walked back a bit. Luto seemingly forgotten about the demons and Eliza for now.

"oh a vendor had this and no one bought it so, I saw it and knew that snow was reading about the Golden Army and then elf prince who wanted to rage war on the humans." Rubi said and would hand the bracelet to snow and the weapon. "wow this looks like the spear that Prince Nuada used when he was alive and his sister bracelet." snow said as she put the bracelet on and would put the spear on her back. "I will make sure this gets back to them, because its not right for me to keep them" Snow said and would then see shade appear out of rubis shadow. "Lady Snow glad to see your safe and with a new friend. " shade said and snow would shake her head "ive told you to just call me snow shade. and this is Luto, she helped me and i helped her when she was attacked by demons. " snow said

Luto gave a small laugh 'We showed em' what we can do!" She put her hands on her hips and smiled "Blew em' all to hell!" she imitated the explosion, proud of herself. She smirked "Me, 'lady snow', and dia beat there asses!!" She sighed "but now i need a new jacket- i left it there" she smiled bigger, giving a small chuckle

Echo drug her feet as she wandered the city feeling lost. There had been some sort of skirmish in nearly every city she had seen so far, but no one of any real importance. "Somethings just take time I guess..." Reaching into her pocket she pulled out the tooth fairy she had caught the day she first arrived here. Her index finger and thumb kept its wings pinched together so it could not fly. "So where is it? The Troll Market?"

The creature pointed at the wall directly in front of her, a wall that was obviously a glamour to her eyes. Smiling, Echo released the tooth fairy which darted away from her as fast as it could. With a skip in her step, she made her way into the troll market. It was quite a mess, probably in the top ten messiest she had seen so far. Navigating the maze of a market, Echo eventually found someone worth noticing; a girl of paper white skin, on her back, was Nuada's spear, and on her arm was Nuala's bracelet.

Echo cursed under her breath, whispering to herself, "Where did you-" Rage briefly caused her face to flush bright red. Taking a deep breath, she started to calm herself down; after all there was no way to tell how she came by those items. Perhaps they'd been filched and sold several times.

"Hey!" Taking a few steps forward she continued, "How's it going?" Echo's nostrils flared slightly, the paperwhite girl was close enough to smell now, her blood wasn't human, it was... familiar.

Snow heard a girl's voice and saw echo. "Oh hello" she said and then looked at rubi for a quickly minute. "Get anyone else who's injured over to my grandfather, he has more healers then here. Tell them I sent you." Snow said to rubi. "What you, where are you going?" Rubi asked as shade gave her a look. "Your going back there aren't you?" Shade asked. "Yes, these items don't belong with me or in the troll market, they belong with their owners. The prince and princess. I'm taking Dia to fly me about half way. Then teleporting there." Snow said as she would put her hair up. "Also take Luto with you. Your gonna need her. She's a hell of a fighter. Also when you find hellboy, tell hom about the rift that is open about 10 miles from here." She said and then looked back at echo.

"Sorry about that. I'm Snow, you are?" Snow asked as if trying to place her face from somewhere she met but couldn't.

Luto smirked at snow's comment, but her face went serious again, Luto looked at rubi and shade, then back at snow..'Rift?' luto thought to herself, almost saying it outloud. "Well tell the prince and princess that i said Hi" Luto gave a small laugh, but it was more of a friendly, softer laugh, unlike her usual loud or proud laughs. She took two steps back and gave a little bow, as a last thank you for helping her fight the general "Thanks again for helping me, i wish you luck on your travels"

Echo watched quietly and carefully as the paperwhite girl relayed orders; it seemed even among humans, royalty was not so easily muted. Snow's last comment piqued her interest and Echo found her eyes darting from the bracelet, to Snow's face, to the spear.

"Friends call me Echo, and we're friends right?" She smiled warmly, hesitating only slightly before continuing, "You know Hellboy?" Her eyes darted to Nuada and Nuala's items again. With a thought, a spear flashed into existence on Echo's back. It looked similar to Nuada's, only far more ancient, and its haft was made of a wood not found anywhere on Earth. "If you're taking those items back to their rightful owners, then I'm coming with you." Something about Echo's posture said 'I'm not asking.'

Under her breath, Echo mumbled out, "Not like Nuada ever learned to use it right anyways..."

"Of course." Snow said smiling. "Yes I do. He's my brother. He's hard headed all the time but still my brother." She said and felt the spear leave her back and go to echo. "Oh so the spear is yours? " Snow asked glad that it was back with who it belonged to. "But yes I'm returning what belongs to those who have lost it." She said and Dia would come from the sky landing near Snow and growled lowly like a snake being a viper dragon as she was. "Easy Dia, Shea a friend, if she wanted to hurt me I think she might have already." Snow said to her dragon who nuzzle her and looked at echo with a look of 'hurt her and your toast'

Snow looked at luto and smiled. "Thanks luto, you guys as well" snow said as rubi would lead luto away to the troll market entrance. Shade looked at snow and would then walk up to her. "Becareful. God's forbid something happen and we kill who hurt you" Shade said and snow chuckled "if I can kick hellboy, my brothers butt and a lizard demon general. I think i will be fine Shade. But if anything happens you will know" Snow said pointing to her shadow and smiled.

Snow adjusted the saddle on dia since they were going on a long flight and then saw some vendor come up to her with some food for her, echo echo Dia. "Here Snow, it's all we have and we wish you well since you have helped us." A troll said handing her food which Snow turned away. "No, I thank you for that but your family needs it more then me, besides I know how to hunt if need be." She said and climbed into the saddle onto dia's back and held her hand out to echo. "Ready because it gonna be a long ride." Snow said.

Echo wrinkled her nose, "Well technically it was more like his Uncle's? Grandfather's maybe? Er... The family tree gets a little complicated if you go far enough up." Echo blushed as the spear disappeared; shunted to the same extradimensional space where she kept Lugh's spear. "In days past it was called Gae Bulg, and it was designed to be thrown with the foot. If Nuada proves he can wield it, then he can have it back."

The familiar scent of Snow finally made sense. "So you're Nuada's brother? That makes you..." She put a thoughtful finger to her mouth as if trying to find the word, "My niece? No... Cousins?" She shrugged her shoulders slowly, "Close enough." Echo began to circle the Viper Dragon, lightly running a finger along its scales. "Ogdru Jahad? No... But a Serpent and a Dragon nonetheless."

As Snow turned down the offer of food, Echo quietly snatched the food out of the troll's hands, replacing it with a solid gold Krugerrand. "Thank you! That coin should more than cover the cost of living for you and your family this year." Echo took Snow's hand and allowed herself to be lifted onto Dia's saddle. Without waiting for Dia to even take flight, Echo unwrapped the parcel of food and began snacking.

snow would shake her head as dia would fly "No i dont think im related to Nuada. I dont know. I dont know much about my past really." she said. "Hellboy found me in an alley way when i was younger. At first we thought i was a mutant. But found out later, Im a princess of a snow elf kingdom and my mother was the princess and my father was merlin. Yea, didnt expect that part but I feel like there is more you know, Like parts of my past that i dont know. Ive read about the golden army when I was little and that is what drew me to the world that we are in now. But when he went to fight and stop the prince I was to young to go on the mission with him" she said and would make a flower out of ice in her hand.

after flying for hours they arrived in ireland, the home of the fae. Dia would land and let both her and Echo down. "I will rest and hunt snow, my body needs it" dia told her in her mind and snow would nod to her as dia took off into the sky to go hunt in a forest that was protected. "Stay close because, Im not sure if you have teleported before" snow said and would then put her hand on the ground and shut her eyes, when she reopened them a wall of ice appeared around them and her eyes were bright blue. A flash of blue and white happened fast and soon they were under ground where the golden army was defeated and destroyed, echo could see that everything was old and ancient, but could see that it was kept up slightly.

Echo would see that a wall of frost was keeping nuada and nuala from the effects of time, that the place had suffered. "Ive been thinking of a way to bring them back, from my understanding the princess would stab herself to stop her brother. But, due to his hatred of humans, I dont know if he would want to." she said and would remove the frost from both of them and would then take the bracelet over to Nuala and gently put it on her chest." she said and would then look at echo. "you alright?" she asked looking at echo.

Echo listened to Snow and frowned slightly, "Snow elf?" The two were definitely related but more distant than she thought. "Second or third cousin, maybe thrice removed? All elves have a root ancestor, so you'd definitely be related to Nuada, albeit very distantly." The pieces slowly fell into place and Echo nodded, "So you meant your adoptive brother, Hellboy? No wonder..." Snow continued to recount the tale of her lineage and when she stopped Echo blurted out. "You're Merlin's daughter?" For some reason, this seemed to put Echo on edge, and the rest of the flight continued in silence.

As Dia landed, Echo threw herself off its back and landed next to Snow, "Aye, I've been off Midgard before." A slight Irish drawl crept into her voice as Snow began to teleport them. In a flash of brilliant white snow, Echo found herself in familiar territory, the twins frozen in time in front of her. "Ma acushlas..."

Echo crept to Nuala's side, taking her hands in her own. Falling to her knees, Echo allowed herself to shed a few tears for the twins who had destroyed themselves. After saying a prayer for the two, she recounted the tale as she had heard it. "Aye, Prince Hellboy contested Prince Nuada's right to rule the Golden Army. Hellboy won, of course, and ever the sore loser Nuada acted with haste, dooming both the Twins."

As Snow expressed her worry, Echo stood back up and assured her, "I'm fine." Echo made her way to Nuada's side and the Gae Bulg flashed into existence. "This spear was supposed to save your kingdom, and you used it to ruin it." The Gae Bulg returned to the space Echo had stored it in, "You'll get it back when you've found repentance."

Echo stood next to Snow, "Your mother could have easily suffered the same fate as Nuada, if things had been different. Hellboy may yet still grab that fate with his Right Hand. Forget not this lesson." Suddenly all depression left Echo and she perked back up. "So! What's next?"

"yes he did, He did it to keep hell from arriving sooner then it was supposed to. Yes earth is hell on earth now, but he is doing everything in his power to keep it from going any further." she said and would then put her hand on a wall and made the ice quickly go around it persevering the room. "I try to help him when i can but due to me being what i am, my power are weak or not there to help as much as i want. But I think that the prince and princess could help us, but I havent found a way to bring them back." she said and would then pick up a book that read "The Golden Army" and another one "How To Bring Back The Dead"

"This book here" she said picking up the one of how to bring back the dead. "says a life for a life, but I want to bring back both. So one, the prince can rule his kingdom and help the others and also so abe can have his other half back" she said as she looked at the princess and then put the book down. "You said that all elves have a common ancestor" she said looking at her hand. "could a half elf bring him back with their blood?" she asked and then chuckled. "he would hate that. I wouldnt want him to hate me for bringing him back" she said and then would sigh. "but I need to fight Abe, hes my other brother. " she said and would hand her a picture of a man who was old, almost as old as merlin but looked like a 20 year old man. "we are looking for him, he has abe and im worried. The general that me and Luto fought told me that his 'master' as he called him was getting tired of abe. he has a mind controlling device and he is the man who destroyed half of the troll market that you saw." snow said and would then sigh softly. "I think he is the reason why hellboy opened the gates of hell and now fighting to keep them back from the gate" she said.

-back at the BPRD-
Rubi woud lead luto to where hellboy was and would also give her some clothes simliar to the ones she was wearing already. "Welcome to our home, its not much but with hellboy keeping the gate semi protected we can have somewhat of a normal life" Rubi said and would show Luto around the building, the last place they came to was the bar. "come on bartender, these drink sucks, you have to have something better then this." a man said slamming a drink down as the poor bartender flinched "hey I was thrown into this, dont be mad at me, im a field agent not a barback!" the agent behind the counter said

Echo cocked her head and looked at Snow's face for a long second, "You really want to bring them back..." Turning about the room, wondering what it would be like to play with Nuada and Nuala again. "My great grandfather used to be able to bring the dead back to life and even cure any injury. To do so he used special herbs and a place called the Tipra Sláíne." Echo flashed a bright smile and threw her arms around Snow, hugging her tightly.

"My Great Aunt gave me her knowledge of all the healing herbs, so if you can help me find the Tipra Sláíne..." Echo squeezed Snow just a bit tighter before releasing her and putting her hands on the ice that contained the twins, "We can save them." Turning around, Echo took the picture and scrutinized it with her nose scrunched. "I know him. Well... I know someone who knows him. Gruagach, the accursed. They were together when I last saw them."

At the mention of Hellboy opening the gates, Echo froze, her hackles raising slightly. "He... He didn't, that is to say... Even though the gates are open, he has stayed here, right? He isn't acting... odd, is he?"

"No he's not. My brother was raised by professor broom, a great man who taught him right from wrong. And unfortunately he's not in New york. The gates are open yes but, he's being trying to keep them closed. Those who went with him wanted to fight with him. To protect what they had. Hellboy may you trapped in hell for the rest of his life and he's has come to terms with that, to keep the world safe. He will do what needs to be done" she said letting go as the finished hugging and snow looked at her "you help find this man, I will help you find find herbs you need."



"My brother is many things, the being who is to destroy the world, but I think if your taught at a young age what's right and whats wrong you can choose who to be not what a prophecy tells you to be. Like Prince nuada for example, his heart was in the right place for his people but went about the wrong way for it. Everyone can choose who they can be no matter what" Snow said and would grab the book about the dead and walked over and handed it to echo, holding it out to her.

A sinking feeling grew in Echo's stomach, but there was nothing she could do about it now, not yet at least. She took the book from Snow and nodded her assent. "Sounds like a deal. Remove us from this sacred place. That foul thing isn't fit to see Bethmora." The last sentence was said with a notable sneer. "Then I shall summon Gruagach."

Echo put an index finger to her chin and examined Snow critically, "Though I must warn you he may try to fight his way free, and though he's an ugly cur, he is still a capable combatant. From my understanding, he has fought with Hellboy before and carries quite the grudge. And if he is with the man who has your brother, he probably knows who you are as well."

Letting out a laugh, Echo took out the food she had boughten from the Troll earlier, popping a burned orange into her mouth. "In my opinion, you should face him without my help, should he attempt to get violent. It would do wonders towards mastering your powers." Preparing herself for teleportation, Echo mused quietly, "And who will you choose to be, Princess Snow..."

Before snow could teleport them she heard echo call her princess. But she hasn't told her anything, but she wasn't about to ask about it now. Snow would close her eyes and kneel to the ground putting her hands down making the cicle of the teleport and appeared in front of Dia who had just finished eating. As snow would walk to Dia, she thought about echos words of who she would be. She was a fighter, and a damn good one she thought. But at the same time she thought about her kingdom and people, her grandfather couldn't rule forever.


"To answer your question, I dont know. I guess I'm still finding myself. Because I want to help my brother but also help my grandfather at the same time. I guess I'm torn, but I can't think about that right now, I need to get Abe back and the prince and princess, then I will go from there of who I am" she said to echo.

The ground shifted, a flash of glacial ice, that brought them back to the surface world. The dragon was still an odd omen, but Echo wasn't superstitious enough to think any further on it. Snow's answer brought a smile to Echo's face, a weight off her heart slightly lifted. "A pure snow-white heart."

"Then let us waste no time. Shall I summon Gruagath? And for the sake of your training, I will not aid you unless you specifically request me to." Putting out her arm, Echo willed Nuada's spear into her hand; she held it in reverse so that the bladed side ran parallel to her tricep and rested on the back of her shoulder.

Snow would look at dia who then nuzzled her "dia no matter what, dont help me unless you think is absolutely needed." snow said and dia just looked at her. "but if I cant help then" dia began to say and snow chuckled "I dont want you hurt silly. what im most likey going up against is strong, and then last thing i need is for one of my best friends to get hurt." she said and would then touch her forehead to dias with her eyes closed and would then watch dia go over next to echo. "Yes, I dont know what more i can learn about my powers but hey if there is a chance then might as well take it." said and looked at echo and nodded as she made sure she had weapons on her in case she got weak due to her powers not being enough.

"dont die" dia said in snows mind and snow looked at her. "ive survived hell and a demon general, im sure i will be fine" she said and cut the mind link and the shared link her and dia had so that dia didnt get injured from her fighting with Gruagath, she also wondered how much this person might hate her. she was the adoptive sister of hellboy, a lot of people hated her for just being that. Wow now that she thought about it, most likely half the people on the planet probably hated her.

Smiling while she watched Snow prepare herself, Echo mused at the mettle of the young Elf. Walking in a circle, she used the haft-end of the spear to draw a circle in the dirt that measured about ten feet in diameter. After which she drew a few runes and symbols in the dirt. "Your power comes from the place all Elves draw power from. Since your mastery of ice is so complete, It's possible you can manipulate other elements as well?" She paused for a second to look Snow deep in the eyes, "If you can produce intensely hot steam, that might be a gateway to Fire."

Echo returned to finishing the Circle that would hold Gruagach, "And your upper limit for Ice hasn't been reached yet either." Satisfied with her work, Echo stood outside the circle and used the spear to point at the circle. "Gruagach of Lough Leane. I order you, come."

The Summoning was quick and simple, one second the circle was empty, the next it contained a massive bipedal boar creature. It let out an angry snort, looking around bewildered. Its eyes settled on Echo first. Falling to one knee Gruagach looked down and boomed out, "Scathach, why have you summoned me here?"

"Last time I saw you, you were with a man. Where is that man? That man stole this girl's brother. This girl is my new ward. As such, by the rules of our tribe you owe her weregild." Echo pointed to Snow with her spear. Gruagach's head turned slowly to look at Snow, his eyes widened with recognition.

"Ohoho," Gruagach reached out for Snow but his hand stopped as he touched the edge of the circle, "I know her. Bwahaha, I know her." He slammed a fist against the circle, then the other, roaring he smashed his head into the circle and a crack appeared. "Let me out Scathach! You have nothing to do with this!" Charging into the circle with all his might, Gruagach shattered the circle. He looked around for Snow, ready to exact revenge.

"Gruagach, we shall have your answer one way or another..." Echo sighed as she watched the hot-headed dimwit tried to gore Snow.

"Know me?!" snow yelled moving away quickly as she used her ice to make her move more quickly and then stopped herself and would look at him. "Ive never met you in my life" snow said making an ice spear, ready to launch it but then stopped herself making it disappear. she then put her hand to the ground and made an ice replica of herself to buy her some time. "power all elves draw from" she said thinking knowing time was limited but then would look at the bear. "ive got my mastery of ice but back in hell i drew on the power of fire, but i dont remember how." snow said her replica being destroyed and shattered. "ok new plan, she said and would make two ice daggers and would then move quickly. "lets see how well you skate, you giant bear rug" she said and would then move quickly having his claw barely miss her as he jumped on his back and would then put both daggers in his back as they began to cover him in ice, enough to stop him for a time but not kill him.

She would jump down landing as she rolled and would put her hands to the ground "Dont know who you think i am, but I know one thing. I dont go down easily." she said and would then without thinking about anything she made flaming vines come from the ground wrapping around him.

Snow smiled and it was short lived when she was hit hard going back a good five feet, she didnt move for a bit and dia would growling and pacing wanting to help her rider, but dia also knew that snow was strong and could do this. After a couple of minutes, runes began to glow on snow she would slowly get up, her eyes blank as if she wasnt there, the runes glowed on her body and pulsed. They also began to become different colors, some were blue, pink, red, white and green.

Dia looked at echo and would project into her mind since snow cut their link "what is going on with her. Its like shes no there" dia said to echo.

Watching Snow vex the Gruagach was the most fun Echo had in a very long time. She let out a low whistle of approval when Snow shot flaming vines out at the Boar creature. The Serpent Dragon made contact with Echo's mind. Casting her glance to Dia, Echo explained, "Battle Frenzy, or as the Elves say, Ríastrad. One of her ancestors was famous for it, she seems to have inherited it from her Mother's side."

Gruagach let out a bestial roar, loud enough to shake the nearby foliage. Raising both his fists into the air, he slammed them into the ground, splitting the ground beneath him. Picking up pieces of the Earth, he cranked his arms back and threw them at Snow. "STOP. MOVING!"

Echo threw Nuada's spear into the air, causing it to spin like a baton. As it fell she grabbed it with her throwing arm and launched it into the center of the battlefield, halfway between Snow and Gruagach. Cupping her hands Echo shouted to Snow, "The Gae Bulg is yours until we revive the Twins. Use it as you see fit."

Snow would put her hand up making the pieces of earth stop where they were meters before they hit her and snow would then send them back to Gruagach and hitting him in the face as she ran at the Gae Bulg and grabbed it, she would then move quickly under Gruagach feet and would then hit the ground with the spear making the ground come up sending Gruagach flying into the air and then came crashing down hard leaving a small crater a few feet from her.

Snow would start to walk away since he was done and not getting up, how wrong she was. As Gruagach got back up and went to swing at her, she stopped his hand with a boulder jutting out from the earth but no one could tell if he hit her due to the cloud of dust that formed from his hand swinging and her causing the boulder to form. "you know ive had it with this game" snow said as if speaking in many voices. "you call yourself strong and you cant beat a snow elf, no wonder hellboy beat the shit out of you" she said and then would take the spear and then run, then jumping with the help of the earth and slashing his face then coming back down. the ice daggers, that were stabbed into his back she now could use to her advantage. "let me tell you a little secert, those daggers, you think they are gone huh? they are running through your veins right now." snow said taking one look at him and his body began to freeze, but snow knew that with a battle like this nothing was determined right now or at least she thought.

Gruagach let out another roar, quieter this time, the things Snow said were causing his blood to boil. He could keep fighting, even as the slash to his face was slowly growing deeper. His blood boiled so much that the ice that was running through it started to melt.
