•°• Personality •°•
Mai is a fiercely independent individual, a girl too bigheaded to take advice from pretty much anyone. She goes out of her way to adequately express herself, and instantaneously turns argumentative and bad tempered when people insult or criticize her in any way, constructive or non. Mai is known to rebel against authority pointlessly and is extremely obsessive and prideful when it comes to her beliefs. She wouldn't give her values up for the world.
•°• Background •°•
Mai was born as an only child to the expecting parents Ai and Lu Tukiko. Her parents wanted nothing more than for Mai to become the apprentice of one of the higher-up heroes, and Mai went along with their plans for her. That is, until the incident. Ai and Lu had felt that their daughter was becoming too dependent on them. So one day, they took her into the woods under the pretence of a good natured picnic, a nice break from her training. Instead, they abandoned Mai deep within the woods, where she got into a scuffle with a mountain lion. She eventually won, but had sustained serious injuries. A scar runs across the right side of her face. As a memoir of that hated day, Mai wears one of the mouain lion's paws on a piece of twine around her neck.
•°• Reason for Choosing the Shaman •°•
Mai chose the shaman merely to get revenge on her parents.
