Alexander's clothing choices generally are rather simple. He likes wearing just a button up shirt and a pair of jeans. Though, since he's not really one to go clothes shopping, he usually pays someone to do it for him, so he ends up with outfits that aren't exactly as simple as he would like. He doesn't mind dressing up in nicer clothes or changing his style every now and then, but he doesn't usually do that too often. He's never seen without his glasses, he doesn't like the feeling of contacts, so he just sticks with the glasses he's had forever. He has more than one pair of glasses, but they're identical. He has a smartwatch that he wears on his wrist, and when he's outside he has a Superman zip-up hoodie that he always wears, no matter how hot it is outside. His skin is actually not incredibly pale, he does spend time outside.

Alexander doesn't like it when people are disrespectful of their surroundings. If there are people studying or look hard a work on something, then it'd disrespectful to be loud and start yelling or playing loud music. He is known for being a little sarcastic and snippy at times, but that's usually to people that kind of deserve that reaction or when he's tired or stressed out. He does often forget that the rest of the world doesn't have the same luxuries as him, that they didn't get to grow up with money to go anywhere in the world whenever they wanted or have the same opportunities that he's had or will have. He also doesn't like feeling alone. He likes the company of others, and when they aren't around, he'll focus all his attention into his work so that the feeling of being alone doesn't sink in.

As a child, Alexander didn't exactly get a lot of attention from his parents. They were busy and he understood that. His dad had work and when he didn't have work he was asleep from stress or from exhaustion. His mom had a social life that she had to keep up with all the time, so she was out of the house a lot. He was okay with this for the most part, his parents showed up when it was important like for the school plays that his elementary school put together or parent teacher conferences. His dad was the one that recognized Alexander really liked the computer and signed him up for computer classes. They may have not seen a lot of each other, but they were there when it counted, which is what Alexander appreciates the most. Though, that constant feeling of loneliness did get to him and made him extremely uncomfortable.

In about middle school, Alexander had come up with a concept for a new social media website. He didn't exactly know where to start with it, but he thought it could be a fun project. He had told his dad about it and he ended up being able to talk to professionals about the idea. With this, they started working on the website, but it took a while for Alexander to think it was perfect. He used to stay up all night just to work on what he could, and making sure that everything worked just how he wanted them to work. He poured over his work so much that he started to fear he'd become like his dad. He didn't want to focus so much on just his work, he wanted a life too. He wanted that balance that his parents couldn't find. So, for a long while, he put his project on hold. He started seeing more of his friends and deciding that his website didn't need to be completed in a certain time frame. He had all the time in the world.

When it was time to move up to high school, his parents thought it'd be best for him to go to West Palms academy a boarding school. Alexander didn't really see the point and wasn't too happy that most of his friends weren't going to be there, but he didn't really get much of a choice. During his first semester there was when he finally finished off his project and made it live. He had an alright social life, knowing a very popular actress in the school that he had become friends with, so he asked her if she'd start using the website. After that, it seemed like the entire school was using the website, and soon after that it grew more and more popular. With that, Alexander was given more work on his plate. He had to keep updating and fixing his pet project, making sure that the experience was just right for everyone. He started to spend a lot of time working in the computer labs after school, but he also made sure to step away and hang out with his friends.

Now in his Junior year, Alexander is just ready to be done. He knows that he has another year to go, but school was just getting boring. He needed something more exciting to happen in his life. Which was probably why it was so easy for him to accept being the pretend boyfriend of one his classmates.

So begins...

It was the first day back to West Palms Academy for everyone. Well, for everyone that didn’t have to go through summer school or stay at the school for the entire summer anyway. The school had filled with life the week before classes had begun. Freshmen were advised to come a week early to get settled in and used to the large campus. It was basically known as Welcome Week, all the freshmen would be there getting tours of the campus, making connections, being told where to go, who to see, where their classes were, and a bunch of different events just for them.

On the Friday before classes began, when the rest of the students arrived, there was a huge fair. All the clubs got their own booth to entice new members to join. Free food was handed out to everyone. It was basically a party to start off the new year. The school did like to flaunt its money by throwing the best parties, even when they weren’t completely necessary. There was even some of the best music being played through the stereo system and the free food was catered from some of the most expensive places.

Fortunately the sun was shining and it wasn’t too hot so the whole festival went on outside in front of the school. Some students ran around from booth to booth talking to the different clubs or playing some of the games offered. Others were busy connecting with friends and eating the food. Some of the older students that were used to the campus even elected to skip the festival and were swimming in the pool or playing in the arcade while the other students were busy. The teachers didn’t mind letting the older students wander away from the party, knowing that the kids would be safe with staff members already looking after them.

Alexander Harper was one of the upperclassmen that had elected to leave the gathering early and get away from the crowds. He had said hi to a few of his friends and was happy to talk to them about his summer, but for the most part he had just been there for the free food. He quickly grabbed something to eat then went off to the computer lab to do some work. He did enjoy being outside for a little while, but the crowds were too much and he didn’t want to deal with all the people around. He did invite his friends to join him if they’d like, he knew that the computer labs wouldn’t be touched just yet and that it’d be the quietest place to go.

He walked into one of the labs and was asked to sign his name on a sheet by one of the teachers looking after the lab. Alexander quickly signed his name and went to one of the computers. It was nice to get away from all the people, but the silence of the lab brought about that same feeling he got when he was at home. Still, it wasn’t as bad as it could be, there was the teacher in the lab busy cleaning some of the computers or just trying to keep busy by doing something. If he really wanted to talk to someone he could and he had the option to go back outside and join his friends once again. Right now, he wanted to check up on his website and make sure that everything was running smoothly. He wouldn’t have many free days once school started up on Monday, after all.

Alex glanced through his email first to see if there was anything important. Most of what he got was either from a notification system on a website or business emails. He didn’t really have much to care about or do. There were other people working on patching his website and working on the development ideas he had come up with, but he still enjoyed working on the project he had spent so much time building. He figured he’d hang out in the computer lab and work on a few things he wanted to do with the site then go back to the end of the festival where there’d be fireworks and a long winded speech from the principal of the academy.

Sally smiled cheerily as Belinda asked what acting alongside the newest teen heartthrob Shane Acker was like. So far Belinda was only the fifth person to ask. Sally didn't care for the question the first time. All Sally could think about was finding a nice place to catch up on some sleep. She had spent the last part of her summer on location shooting her newest movie. It was an adventure action movie where she and Shane played the children of a washed up bounty hunter trying to balance his struggling career and his duties as a father. Sally spent most of the movie either screaming as her 'father' got in gun fights, or yelling at him for not preparing an adequate dinner. Not exactly an Oscar winning performance.

Sally had only gotten home on a plane late last night. No one in her family believed that to be a good enough excuse not to be seen out and about school, socializing with friends. It also wasn't a good enough excuse to not have a long session with her personal trainer that morning before being photographed going out for breakfast with her mother. Which is why Sally was so tired right now. Not that the clothes, hair and makeup Sally's stylist had chosen displayed her exhaustion. Neither did her sunny demeanor.

Sally gave a cheerful reply to Belinda about how great all the actors were on set then moved on to her next friend. She remembered practically everyone's name and made them all feel special and like they were truly a valued friend of hers. It was impressively how many of the school had been charmed by Sally considering how little she was actually at school. She chatted enthusiastically to everyone around the festival. Even teachers, making sure to let them know she was definitely committed to making up the studies she had missed while away filming. Though Sally made sure to keep an eye out for her true friend, Alexander and her boyfriend, Felix.

She saw Alex slip away whilst she was stuck in a conversation with her maths' teacher about her apparent life long dream to be on Broadway. Sally stifled a sigh and kept listening as best she could with the occasional question or an encouraging nod. Eventually Sally was able to get out of the conversation and slip away from the festival. She knew exactly where exactly where Alex would be so she confidently walked towards the computer lab. Sally signed herself in with a smile and headed over to Alex.

Sally dropped herself into the seat next to Alex. "I'm exhausted,"
She announced for the first time that day, dropping her forced smile. Alex was one of the only people in the world Sally didn't feel the need to put up a front with. Being around him was comfortable. He grew up rich too so he got it. Sally bent down to rub her calf. "My trainer worked me extra hard this morning to make up for my time away," Sally explained. She'd had a trainer since she was a 13. She'd put on a few extra pounds pre-growth spurt and her parents had decided it was for the best.

Sitting up Sally spun around on her chair and leaned in towards Alex's computer screen. "How's your website going?" She asked genuinely. Ever since he'd first told her about his social media platform, Sally had been on board for helping him out however she could. She'd was posting about it across all social media platforms basically then and there. Sally liked feeling like she could use her fame for good.

This morning he honestly didn't want to get up, he barely had the energy to even do so. He had had a long night out with his band members, from practicing to hours, to catching a bite to eat, ending with running away from adoring fans. Demi had grown accustom to the unneeded attention, yet he still wasn't ok with it. The directed attention at him had died down tremendously since he had announced he had a boyfriend, but when he was with Clarence and Norman, his band mates, fans barely cared about his relationship. At first he himself didn't care much for his relationship, it was just a lie to help him escape overbearing attention, but now - now it was time to get ready for the first day back to classes.

Hopping up from bed he maneuvered around miscellaneous objects in his floor over to his closest, Man, I really need to invest in cleaning my room. Demetrius, though a well put together young man, had zero skills at keeping things organized. It was a weak point for him, he tried a lot, but all-in-all failed and always end up a clutter once again. Regardless the mess, he dug through the pill of clothes at the bottom of his closest. After digging for a good three minutes he managed to retrieve a turquoise bottom down, blue jeans, and blue vines iridescent Chacos. The only reason he had the Chacos is because the company sponsored the band, what's better than the Iridescent Movement wearing glow in the dark shoes?

Being fully dressed and ready he pulled out his phone and called Alexander. Come on, pick up! If Alex answers Demi replies, "Hey, where are you? I want to meet up." If he doesn't answer Demetrius leaves a voicemail of the same message. Demetrius was slightly getting use to the arrangement, the whole fake dating thing. His feelings were becoming more than fake and he wasn't sure how to express that to Alex yet, but he was sure he'd figure out something.

Instead of going straight to find where Alex was, he instead left his dorm and maybe his way to the festival, which didn't take too long. Music blurred and vibrated through the atmosphere sending chills up his spine. He adored this feeling, the warmth of being surround by music. "Hey, Demetrius!" Someone yelled out from the crowd. Turning to face the person he smiled, though he wasn't exactly sure who it was. The person continued to ask Demi how his summer was and how his new relationship was going, all Demi could do was smile and answer the questions to the best of his abilities. "So how long have you two been-" Before the stranger could finish he was jerked back by Clarence, "Interview's over, fresh-meat, go pester someone else." He snickered as the young boy scampered off into the crowd of people. "You didn't have to be so rude to that kid man, he was sweet. An artist or something." "We're artist too and you don't see us interviewing our colleagues." "An artist as in painting you idiot." Letting a laugh rumble from his mouth Demi then playful hit Clarence in the chest. Clarence in all ways was a hot head, easy to temper and exploded at the smallest things, he certainly had angry problems. Being apart of Iridescent Movement meant Clarence had to uphold a positive attitude to the public, and sometimes he failed, but he of course tried his best.

"Yeah, yeah. A painter, no wonder he was so easy to scare off. Anyways, don't forget about practice tonight." Demi nodded his head in agreement, there was no sane way that he'd forget about practice. Music was his life, which made the band his world.

Alexander stared at his computer screen glancing through some of the criticism of his own site. He already had a plan for his next update, there were bugs to fix and small tweaks that needed to be made before he planned to do anything huge again. He was thinking of changing the interface of his site, or adding some features that he felt people wanted, but he always liked looking through what others wanted to see as well. He liked having ideas and making the website something that everyone was happy with rather than what he was happy with. There wasn’t a whole lot of opinions he could work with, though. Some people were complaining about recent changes because they didn’t like change, others were just irritated about some errors they found and a few were changes that just didn’t make sense.

Before Alex could start actually diving into his own work and get started on fixing a few bugs that were on his list, another student entered the lab. He could hear the door open, which made him check, he knew that the computer lab wasn’t going to be hugely popular on a day like today. He was sure most people preferred the other activities around school more than they preferred the computer lab. He saw that it was Sally, and smiled. It had been a while since the two got to see each other in person. They called and texted each other a lot, but Sally had gone off to film for a while which had meant the two didn’t get to see each other at all.

He turned back to his work as she collapsed in the chair beside him. He listened to her complain about how tired she was and he couldn’t blame her. Alexander had heard that Sally came in the night before and he was kind of surprised that Sally was even at school. He admired her for being able to come to this school event even after just getting home, and on top of that having to work out extra hard. He’d never be able to do what she does. “Wow, that sucks. I’ve got some over the counter pain killers if you need something to help with the pain,” Alexander offered. He often got headaches so he carried around a bottle for himself just in case. He was sure it was against school policy, but the teachers have never said anything to him or cared that he had them.

Alexander gave a soft smile when she looked over at his screen and asked about his website. He loved talking about his website. It was his greatest accomplishment, and he really appreciated all the work Sally had put in as well. Sally endorsing the website had made it easier on him when it came to competing with all the other social media platforms out there. “Well, we’ve jumped up in members since the last time we talked. The site is still mainly only American users, but I’ve got a few teams working on what to do to get more people from other countries. At the moment we’re working mostly on fixing up some of the errors and then we’ll be making some changes to the look of the site,” Alexander explained.

While he had been going over how his website was doing, he had felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He didn’t answer because he felt it was rude to do while in the middle of a conversation. By the time he had finished what he was saying, the call had gone to voicemail. He checked who it had been and glanced over at Sally. ”Excuse me a minute, Sally. Demetrius just called, I need to see what he wants,” Alexander sighed. He had told Sally about the whole fake boyfriend arrangement. He trusted her with the secret, besides he felt wrong lying to his best friend. The whole arrangement was just for fun anyway, and to help out someone who couldn’t get peace and quiet any other way.

Once he was done listening to the message he sent Demetrius a text, ”I’m at the computer lab, same one I’m always in.” He put the phone back into his pocket and leaned back in his chair and stretched. Sally hadn’t met Demetrius yet; at least not that Alex had known about. ”Demetrius is going to stop by, I hope that’s okay,” Alex informed her, he hoped she was okay with it. The two hadn’t hung out in so long that he did want to keep talking to her, but he also did have to keep up appearances with his fake boyfriend now as well.

Alexander offered Sally some painkillers but she just shook her head with a small. Someone walking in on Sally taking pills from another student. That was a headache Sally could do without. That was what this life was all about, navigating away from potential trouble and bad situations. Something Sally could do that with her eyes closed. She'd deal with the muscle pain. Then Alexander went on to explain how his website was doing. It sounded like everything was going well for him and his social media platform.

Sally was glad he was always working so hard on it and she was just happy she could help him out. "That sounds like great news Al,"
She said happily giving him a one arm hug. "Let me know it there is anything you need me to do all right? You know I am in England and Europe at the end of this year promoting my new movie?" Sally hoped she could be of some help in perhaps promoting his site overseas since she was frequently overseas.

Then Alexander looked up and said, ”Excuse me a minute, Sally. Demetrius just called, I need to see what he wants.” Sally gave a coy smile as Alexander listened to his voicemail. Of course Alexander had let her in on his secret. He couldn't keep anything from her, though he'd made her swear not to tell. ”Demetrius is going to stop by, I hope that’s okay,”

Sally couldn't stop herself from grinning and leaning in. "You mean I'm going to finally meet 'the boyfriend'." She was excited. Sally had heard all about Demetrius from Alexander when they'd had their many phone chats, but she was yet to meet the guy since she had been away so much. Sally has pestered Alexander over the phone about a billion questions, was he cute? What was he like? Did he make sure Alexander didn't spend his entire life working on his website? Finally she'd get to meet the guy. Of course she had done a quick google search of the guy to make sure he was good enough for her Alexander. Though she wasn't going to tell Alexander she'd searched up the guy. "Should I pretend I don't know you guys are faking?" She asked as she realized she didn't know if Alexander had told Demetrius that she knew.

Then Sally's phone went off. She rolled her eyes playfully, "Speaking of boyfriends," she checked the message. "Where should I meet you? :)" She gave Alexander a sad look, "Seems like I have a boyfriend to go find." Reluctantly she got up and grabbed her bag. She'd have to go back to the festival and spend some time with Felix. It had been forever since they had last hung out. "Give Demetrius a kiss for me," She said with a wink and she walked off. Though when Sally got to the door she turned back around smiling at Alexander, "How nice is it that we both have boyfriends?" She said with a laugh and left to go rejoin the festival.

Sally quickly texted Felix. "Hey at the festival now, come find me, I miss you". Then she wandered around a little knowing Felix would take awhile to get here. She said hello to a few people and then spotted fairy floss booth. Smiling Sally made her way over and got herself a small one. Though when she turned around she accidentally bumped right into the back of a girl with long brown hair. "Oh, I'm so sorry," She said genuinely putting a hand on the girls back to make sure she was okay. Then she saw the girl's face and realized she didn't recognize her. Which was weird because Sally made an effort to try and known everyone. "You must be new," She said with a smile. "I'm Sally." Sally made sure her body language was warm and inviting. New people were just more people to convince of her friendly, sweet persona.
