Well... he thought Devin was a guy.. but at the same time, thought he, or should he say she was hiding something. He watched as she stormed off after giving Haine a nice punch on the face. Leon's attention snapped back to Haine once more. "What do you mean your roof? This is school property." he said with a shrug as he got up. "You go to loosen up a bit. Fighting isnt always the answer."
Just then Misami called his name, making him jump. "Eek... dont scare me like that." he muttered. "Baby? Oh.. him.. you see, he's not--" he started to say, but she continued to speak over him. He sighed when he was told he would have extra class tomorrow and rubbed the back of his head. "Alright, thanks for telling me." he said before pulling out the paper. If he remembered, he was sure he saw these two names...
"Oh crap..." he mumbled. "Uh... I know this is random.. but what do you think about the mafia?" he asked. He blinked, wondering how stupid he sounded right now. But for some reason, he believed that little baby..
Kuro leaned against the school building, tapping his feet. "Fine, I try talking to them, but I'm not going to force them to believe." he said dropping the kid on the ground. "Dont do anything funny midget." he warned.

And yet they managed.
So with all this in account, Leon had to know something. She either had to get him away from Haine, the innocent, albiet annoying bystander. Either that or she had to talk to Leon in code. Ugh, this was going to be annoying. Misami looked over at Leon and cocked her head. "What about the mafia?"
Well, it was the best she could manage right now. It wasn't like she had anything set up with the rest of the Vongola family. She didn't even know who they were! Ah, well, she'd just have to think of an excuse to have Haine leave them for a little while.

He stiffened, looking up, he couldn't afford to show weakness to others, or they'd tear him apart before he knew it. "I think you should tell me about this mafia thing you're talking about."

Out of breath, he stopped at his family's resturant, and sighed.
"I'm back.." he said as he walked in.
"Welcome back Leon. What's the matter, you dont look so good." his mother said, looking concerned.
"Ahh nothing nothing. Dont worry about it. Anything I can help with?" he asked with a small smile.

"Leon? What happened?"
"Nothing..." he snapped. He looked up at his mother, before sighing, "Sorry... school wasnt all that fun today." he mumbled. "I just.. need some rest." He pushed past his mother, grabbing his bag and heading home. Leon stopped, before turning back around, and heading for the shooting range.

She may not have asked for this mafia job, but it was now her job to protect the twentieth. Whomever he may be.
So with her presence not needed in this conversation, she quietly slipped away from the pair that was now chatting. She ran down the stairs trying to catch up with Leon. He said that they could come by anytime, right? Well, Now was a good time as ever.
She ran out of the school in the small crowd that had been leaving school for their own after school studies. But she just ignored their looks at her of all people in their midst. She had to get into town as fast as possible. She didn't want him getting caught up in anything else... as could happen around a mafia man. Luckily, she knew where his parent's restaraunt was.
So soon she was running to the door or Leon's family restaraunt. She stopped a moment, caught her breath and attempted to look not like she had just sprinted the whole way there. She entered, still slightly out of breath. She walked up to the counter. "Hi. I'm here to see Leon?"

Haine was tempted to try jumping and using the tree to reach the ground faster like Devin had, but to do that safely he'd have to use his control over lightning to give himself some upward force and soften his fall, and he still wasn't sure if his power was strong enough to do that, it would take a LOT of lightning. Frowning, he walked quickly into the building, heading for the slums to go beat up some thugs and ease his temper.
"Stupid boy doesn't know where he's sticking his nose. He's going to get a lot of people killed too," he muttered.

She hesitated, looking down at the roof again before carefully following after him, maybe it wasn't the smartest choice Kiyoshi had ever made in her life, but she wanted to know just what exactly he was talking about. Maybe after he calmed down a bit she could get him to talk to her.

Leon walked into the shooting range, tossing his bag on a chair.
"Oi, Leon, what brings you here?" a man asked.
"Just... I thought I needed more practice" he lied. Faking a smile, he grabbed a gun staring down at it for a while before aiming.
"Yo!" a familiar voice said. Leon jumped, almost dropping the gun."AHH!!! LITTLE KID!!!" he yelled pointing and Thad. "Why... why are you here?!?!?!?!?!"
"Like I said. I'm not a normal kid, and please, my name is Thad, not 'little kid'." he said pulling out his own gun and taking a shot without even looking. The bullet hit exactly the middle of it.
"Stay away from me. I dont care about the mafia!" Leon snapped, but secretly, he thought the kid was pretty good.

But then she remembered something else. She had the very person to ask right in front of her. She continued to smile politely as she asked Leon's mother. "Would you happen to know where he went then?" And then quickly added "I have a question about school"
Didn't want his mother getting any funny ideas about a girl chasing her son around after school.

He looked for a door, and tried the handle. It was locked. "Open up this fucking door or some heads are gonna roll, shit!" Haine shouted as he stepped to the side of the door. Sure enough, he was able to brain the first thug that came through with both fists against the back of his neck. Stepping through, he stuffed his hands in his pockets and grinned. "I'm looking for information.."
"And you'll pay for it with your blood." The gang leader was tall, with a black skull bandana pulled over his head, and multiple piercings in both ears. The black leather jacket had multiple studs and chains and the leather pants were tight and expensive. "We're gonna beat your ass to a pulp."
Haine smirked. "Just try me." The hidden 4 shot duelist pistols in his sleeves slid into his hands, and he shot four of the thugs in the shoulder, arm, or leg. His aim was good, but not that good. He had to cheat a little, guiding his shots with his lightning a bit. Not that the lightning riding the bullets was visible, the electric charge was really quite small. He grabbed the gang leader's collar with his right hand. "Someone's been asking around about a mafia, and there may be mafia activity soon. Find out everything you can, and bring me the information. And your attempts to kill me will all fail." Haine pulled a nasty sneer and threw the leader to the floor as he walked out. The violence had made him feel better. He only wished he had more control and power with his lightning, guiding his shots and making a blade sharper than it should be was about all he could do right now. It might not be enough, if the mafia got involved.

"Is this an illusion?" she wondered quietly to herself as she turned. The screech of tires caught her off guard, as did the smash of metal into her abdomen. Laney released a paralyzed shout and toppled backwards. The maroon car that had crashed into her screamed to a stop just as her legs disappeared underneath. Breathing rather harshly, she scrambled out from under the car and staggered to her feet.
“Watch where you’re going, kid!” the driver shouted, looking just as pale and traumatized as she.
“Sorry, Sir!” the blonde replied in a crumpled, defeated voice. Laney stepped to the sidewalk and examined her wounds. Her forearm was skinned and her stomach was squirming. “Dammit,” she murmured. Shaking it off and ignoring the looks she received from the pedestrians, she began down the sidewalk. Where was she? Why—Her thoughts cut off as she doubled into a fit of hacking coughs. Please, not now, she thought bitterly and, swallowing down the blood in her mouth, she continued forward, limping slightly.

But what she saw next made her take an automatic step back to a tree farther away from the scene, trying extremely hard not to panic...or scream, what the hell was he doing here?
All she could do was stand there after a while, she didn't even know if she could get back to her house from there, she didn't really know where she was...
Kiyoshi stared once Haine came out, wondering just what went down in there...if she wanted to know, glancing behind her she saw something moving in the shadows and decided to move before she found out if it was a person or not, she decided she better go over to Haine before someone around there got a hold of her, because she was pretty sure she didn't belong in a place like this. As she slowly approached Haine she bit her lip, hoping he was in a better mood now.

Turning, he led her out of the slums. 'Why in hell, did she follow me? Doesn't she know better?' Sighing, he opened the door of his apartment complex, and took her up the stairs to the roof. Sitting down, he faced her. "You wanted to talk to me? Go ahead."

Once they were out of the area, she calmed down more, but still was wondering about what everything that had happened was all about, and jesus christ, Haine could probably scare the killer from Prom Night.
Kiyoshi looked around at the roof and sat in front of Haine awakwardly, "Well, uh..." She didn't want to start on a bad subject this time. "What happened back there?" She asked.

"There's no need to yell, and you cant avoid. Like I said, you're a guardian now." Thad said crossing his arms.
"Guardian? You dont make sense. I'm no guardian. I'm not interested in mafias." Leon said annoyed.
"Heh.. it was my fault for leaving you to talk to the others. Here I'm here just to give you this." he said handing him a ring. Leon blinked before staring at it. "A ring?" he asked raising his eyebrows. Thad nodded, "Dont loose it.. afterall, it's priceless." he said grinning before walking off.
"Come again Thad-san!!!!!" the man owning this place said bowing down.
"HUH?! You know him?!" Leon yelled. The man nodded with a smile, as if proud of himself. With a small sigh, the teen leaned against the wall, observing the ring.
