Personality
Serenity is a very complicated girl. When she is first met she tends to give off different vibes. Some believe she is unapproachable, some think she is extremely nice, and others believe she is just flat out quiet. Your first impression of her all truly depends on how she is feeling that moment. Though if she treats you good or bad, it doesn't necessarily mean she likes or doesn't like you. The majority of the time if she is mean to you, then most likely she doesn't like you. Serenity is never afraid of letting others know how she feels about them.
If there is ever something she needs to say, she'll say it. It doesn't matter how bad it sounds. As long as what is on her mind is heard, she doesn't care. Serenity is never the kind of person to sugar coat things, so please don't expect her to. Your hopes would just be let down numerous times.
When she thinks someone is attractive, she does compliment them but it doesn't mean that she has a crush on them. If she likes the person, she keeps those thoughts to herself. She isn't a big fan of relationships and plans to keep it that way. All it really does is lead to lots of pain anyway. Even if she would eventually find the guy of her dreams, it wouldn't be worth the pain. At least it wouldn't be in her opinion.
History
Serenity Santiago was born in California. Her family was always one of the wealthiest families in the neighborhood and that still has yet to change. Her parents never spent a lot of time with Serenity and her older sister while they were growing up. So she seemed to attach herself to her older sister, Mitchie. If it weren't for Mitchie taking care of and raising her, she wouldn't have any clue where she would have ended up.
When Mitchie was eighteen, she was given an acting job in Oklahoma and offered to bring Serenity with her. Of course Serenity took the offer and moved out to Oklahoma with her sister. Once again, Serenity was living in one of the nicest homes, and was able to buy and do whatever she wished as long as it was legal because her sister had a lot of money after being an actress for approximately one month. So she never had to find out what it was like to be poor and honestly, she doesn't think she ever would. But just because her family has money, that doesn't mean she is one of those snobby rich kids. She is actually quite the opposite.
During her time in Oklahoma, she was signed into one of the high schools and continued going through the rest of her freshman year there. Or at least, that's what she thought she was going to do. During the end of the first semester, she received a sapphire crescent tattoo upon her forehead and was taken to the House of Night by a tracker. Upon entering the campus, all of her sickness went away from being away from vampires. She was told all about what she was expected to do as a fledgling. Honestly, it freaked her out more than it freaked her older sister out. Of course she knew about vampires and fledglings, but she never thought she would become one.
It took her about three weeks to get used to all of the information she took in and was finally able to take in her surroundings and feel comfortable at her new home.
