Integra thought for a moment... "i dont like mirrors around the house... I think the only one is in my room." Integra smiled and left his tea where it stood. He grabbed Dani's hand and led her upstairs, taking each step two at a time, eager to take her to the mirror she wanted. He stopped outside his door "Wait just a moment." Slipping in, he made great pains to close the door behind him.

Dani forgot about the tea for the moment and followed Integra up the stairs. She struggled a little to keep up with him, but managed to do it somehow. He seems a little eager to show me a mirror. She brushed the thought off when they were at the top of the stairs.
Dani gave a slight nod when he told her to wait. She stared at the door in front of her. As she always did, she stood there and waited for him patiently. She nodded and took his hand when he reappeared. "Of course," she said with a smile.

Integra led Dani into the room, it was dark, with blankets nailed over the windows, very little light filtered into the room, but it was bright with candle light. No light fixtures were anywhere to be seen, but the mirror radiated an exuberance that seemed to make it just as bright as the outside. His heels clicked along the wood flooring; the room was barren save a large bed immaculately made.
He pulled her to the mirror, pushing her in front of it. "Do you like it?" He asked, sparingly. He was quiet, but tightly wound, carefully listening for her response, every muscle in his body was quivering underneath his long clothing.

Dani looked around his room as he led her through. It made her even more curious. I guess he's always interesting. Though it seemed a bit odd, she admired the way he kept the room lit with candles. Their light was much softer and easier to see through than the usual lights in a household. The room had a comfortable feel to it.
Dani's attention was turned to the mirror. She stood and stared at her reflection for a moment. The pendant shone and caught her eye. "I do," she said in response to his question. A rush of excitement surged through her and she turned around and hugged him. "I like it a lot."

Integra was shocked, he did not move. The lighting in the room dimmed, as if many of the candles adorning the room were suddenly hushed. A million thoughts surged through his head, but they decided on 'This is nice' His arms closed slowly around Dani, returning her hug. He was unsure of what to say, so he began mumbling "I.. uh... i... thanks" He tried to blather his way through an explanation, and unable to do so, took a moment to calm himself

"The pendants are heirlooms, passed down from members of House Integra. Everyone who works for me directly has one" Integra's voice came clear and concisely through the dim lighting, still holding Dani in his arms, he released her, and mumbled as an after thought "I'm glad you like it"

Dani grinned as he let go and mumbled the last bit. She looked at it again in the mirror. I feel like an official member here. The thought caused her to giggle a bit. She grew embarrassed when she thought of her actions. I think I need to calm down a bit. The hug and the giggling is a bit much. She looked away for a few seconds to calm herself down and then looked at Integra again. "I really appreciate it. Thank you," she said in a calm tone.
The soft feel of skin on skin. Integra's lips brushed Dani's cheek, smoothly pecking her again. "Well...!" Integra straightened himself up and readjusted his wristcuffs. "Thank you very much Miss Dani. I have to make a couple calls now. Could you kindly set the alarm system on the house for me?" Integra drawled with careful care on his words. Making long and pronounced sentences.
The large empty house heaved under its own weight; the nights were bleak and cold out here, and wind rocked the older remains of the house. Integra noted this with particular interest. He slicked his loose hair behind his ear. The day has been quite an interesting one

Dani lightly blushed again. She looked away and nodded. "Yes. I will go do that now," she said and turned to walk out of the door. Dani wasted no time in getting down the stairs and arming the alarm. Once that was done, she turned and scanned the house with her eyes.
Dani removed her shoes and headed toward the front door. She glanced up toward the stairs. He's in his room making calls. I should be fine... She folded it and put it in the corner by the door along with the shoes, then shifted into her wolf form. Her undergarments fell off of her wolf body. Good thing those just came off. Getting them off would have been a struggle. Dani lightly grabbed them with her teeth and put them next to the dress. I can't keep these showing. It's indecent. She gave a wolfy snort and lifted the dress with her teeth and used her paws to push the undergarments underneath the dress. There. All taken care of. From there, Dani laid down by the door and rested her head on her paws. I'm going to sleep here tonight.

The radioy crackle of the earpiece was giving him a headache; he removed it in the middle of the call, interrupting the gruff fellow who had called Integra that evening, and let it drop from his hand.

He hummed slowly, a tune that had no real meaning or rhythm, but rather continued so long as Integra should please it. Inwardly he thought

Dani continued to lay by the front door. Her eyelids grew heavy until she finally gave in and let sleep take over. She remained that way for a few hours until she woke up to the sound of someone walking by. Integra? She rose from her spot on the ground and slowly followed him. He's.... doing dishes? Dani stood in the entryway to the kitchen and watched him put the dishes away. She tilted her head to the side as she watched him curiously.
Slowly, he caught sense of being watched. Integra stopped for a second. His mouth turned to a frown. "Um... How long have you been standing there?" He cracked his pale fingers together and proceeded to roll down his sleeves. He cleared his throat and rattled his fingers on the marvle countertop.

Dani walked into the kitchen and stood in front of Integra. She used her nose to nudge his hand. I guess there isn't much I can do as a wolf right now. She looked up at him and then nudged his legs. I don't know what to do. I can't exactly talk to him....
Integra stooped down on his knees to meet the small brown dog. In a swift definitive motion, he grabbed the dog throwing his arms around her neck and hugging her tightly. "Youre a good girl. A very good Dani..." He held her close to his beating heart, digging his slender fingers deep into her russet fur.

Dani was caught off guard. She stayed still and let him hug her. I... don't know what to think of this. I don't dislike it. It's just.... new. Her heart was beating faster than it normally did. She rested her head on his shoulder and licked the base of his neck.
Integra felt a stir of emotions. He breathed deeply, then released the small canine. He stood up and looked around the kitchen. It was much cleaner then when he had started. The smell of bleach permeated the air. He winced. It was an awful smell. "I dont know what to say to you when youre a dog." Integra admitted. "Ive never had a dog before..."
Well... Integra hadnt forgot the guard dogs that he'd grown up with. Integra laughed to himself and went to the fridge. He searched the interior, mildly balking at what was inside. He would have to go shopping soon. "Are you hungry?" Integra always got hungry at night. "Im going to cook myself.. Something. If youd like?"

Dani released a wolf sigh and walked out of the kitchen. She went back to the front door and grabbed the dress and undergarments with her teeth. Her canine legs moved awkwardly backward as she back up a bit to turn around again. Then she walked around the first floor of Integra's large home in search of an open room for her to shift and put her clothes on.
Dani found an open closet and walked into it. She couldn't close the door since all she had were paws, but she figured it would be fine since Integra was in the other room. Inside the closet, she shifted back into her human form and put her clothing back on. Life as a werewolf...

The skillet sizzled and popped fresh with the slick oil Integra had used to coat the pan. His favorite part was always cracking the eggs, cooking them sunny-side up, how he liked his eggs. He had watched Dani leave and was patiently awaiting her return. He couldnt help but find himself smiling, while his thoughts drifted. "Oh Dani..." He whispered to himself. His hands threw basil over the eggs, and lightly seasoned it with pepper, for extra taste. There was always a delight for the extra spice in life. Literally and figuratively.

I rather enjoy feeling this way Integra's odd emotionless thoughts coalesced as he cooked, leading him to daydream. The kitchen fading away, sound tuning out. As if he is in another world.

Dani walked out of the closet and headed back into the kitchen. She moved to the side of Integra so she could see what he was making without getting too close in his space. Eggs. I am a little hungry, but I think I should just let him enjoy his food himself. The spices he added to them made them smell even better, but she pushed the thought of being hungry aside. Dani was always good at ignoring her hunger. She silently watched him. He likes to do things at night. I guess I should keep that in mind.

Business has taken on a four percent total loss. At this rate growth will stagnate and we wont reach westminster by fall. Of only The popping of egg yolk drew Integra out of his thoughts. He smiled. And removed the eggs from the skillet. Carefully transferring them to the pretty porcelain dish he chose to eat off of. "Miss Dani" he winked at Dani, trying to look as charming ad possibly "is there anything i could cook for you? I wouldnt want my bodyguard weak from hunger" he stated in quite a matter of fact tone. He raised his hand to his chin, and pressing his index finger to it he sarcastically sighed "I would be very upset indeed to hear that..." He smiled again, looking at Dani
Dani shook her head. "No, thank you. I'm not hungry," she said in a polite tone. She glanced at his plate and quickly looked away, but her stomach gave her away. "I... I guess I'll have an egg. If you're willing to cook another," she said shyly. Dani didn't like asking anyone to do anything for her. He's been so nice to me and he feeds me well. I guess I'm lucky I ended up here. She had heard her fair share of horror stories about others that she did not care to recall.

Integra shrugged, rolling his shoulders in a curious and specific motion. He smiled carefully showing his shiny white teeth. He cracked another egg into the skillet. The egg white spread out quickly, the yolk in the center settling into a small circle. "Am i...?" Integra replied. The egg had began frying, a solid shape set at the bottom.
"I don't quite feel the same as i had been lately. I guess it is just interesting sharing the house with someone" his voice echoed across the room, met by the sound of a very early breakfast in the large home. she is quite observant. I wonder if all dogs are like her...

Dani watched the egg pour into the skillet. They never seemed to take long to cook. The bottom was already solidifying. Her eyes remained on the frying egg as Integra responded to her. She thought about what he said. Sharing the house with someone... She looked at him again. "Does it ever bother you sharing a house with someone?" she asked and watched his expression.
Sizzling and cracking, the heat cooking an egg. Simple as simple comes, humans have been cooking food for thousands of years. "I..." Integra stopped for a moment. He opened a cabinet door, pulling a small green plate from within. "I guess it would have had to. Otherwise i would not have chosen to live alone for quite so long." Integra removed the egg from the skillet, carefully moving it onto the plate for Dani.
"Dont get me wrong. I like people." His voice was a low whisper, in the now silent house. Harsh wind was the only noise in the clipped silence. "Perhaps it is just that people dont like me" He continued absent-mindedly. He sat the plate on the counter, moving a bar stool to serve as a chair. The plate clinked as it touched the marble, the chair dragging on the floor. Integra laughed and shook his head "Bon appetit"

Dani sat on the bar stool and laughed. "You don't think people like you? I don't understand," she said, a little surprised at this. She examined his features. The pale skin obviously implied that he didn't go out very much or allow himself to be exposed to much light. This hardly seemed like a big deal to her though.
Dani noted that the wind had picked up. A storm must be blowing in. Having had that thought, she disregarded it for the moment and decided that it could wait until later. She took small bites from her egg. Dani didn't like to eat fast or in big bites in front of others.

Integra rolled the fork in his hand carefully while chewing his food. The egg was good, tasting of herb and spice he had cooked it with, flavor added from whatever oil he had fried it in. He liked to savor his meals, and thoroughly enjoy the taste. After a moment, he placed the fork on the plate, carefully swallowing his food. "I'm not sure i understand it." He shook his head "It is beyond me."
"Well...?" Integra prompted. "What do you think? Am i a good cook?"
