Bio: Samford grew up in the Deep South, in a rural and deeply religious community. From an early age, his father and mother taught him and his 3 older brothers how to shoot and they had target practice very regularly. When he was 15, his family threw him out when they discovered he was gay. With no money, Samford hitch-hiked his way north, eventually ending up in NYC. Having just turned 16 and with nowhere to live, he was forced to live on the streets, stealing and begging to survive, along with other things which he is not proud of. After a year of living like this, he was taken in by a homeless charity who helped him get back on his feet, get a one bedroom flat and a job working in a factory. After that he scrimped and saved, eventually moving up the property ladder to a larger flat and getting a slightly better job. He developed an ambition to become a fashion designer, inspired by the fashion he saw all around him, but this dream went largely unrealized as he could not afford any formal training and was never quite confident enough to show off the things he had made. Following the outbreak, he hid out for as long a he could, but when his hide-out was swarmed by undead he was forced to run, and it was while fleeing from the undead that he ran into the group, who saved his life. Since then, he has been staying with them, his skill with a gun coming in handy - the one thing he thanks his parents for.
