Mercury huffed and puffed as he sat down on the cold egde of the church tower and looked down at his town. Funny , it did seem like this place was he's town to own , the school was he's to rule , and the forest was his kingdom.
The cold air wipted around Mercury and he smiled. he stood up and jumped from the tower and landed on his feet and ran to his kingdom , the ground barerly seemed to be touching his feet as he ran. he stopped to here the sound of teens playing , and around his kingdom.

Lily scoured around the bare church playground in mid swing, her hair flying off of her shoulders. She giggled, always have loving the feeling of being free in the air. He skid to a stop, letting her feet rest on the gravel beneath her. Her dark eyes were on the sky, the perfect puffy clouds keeping her wandering mind away from what she had been doing. She dreamed of actually being able to fly, whether it was super powers or wings. She would love that more then anything, to break away and just dive off into the air to chase away all of her problems. She sighed in jealousy at a bird that was soaring in the air. She eased herself back to get into the skinny pocket that held the same green cardboard box that contained her ciggarettes. She slipped one into her mouth and lit the end with her favorite lighter, a simple purple bic. She deeply inhaled, then exhaled, a white flume of smoke running through the air and disapating when the wind rushed past.

i saw a strange girl standing on my land. "what are you doing here?" i didn't mean to say it so sharply but i couldn't help myself. People on my land always angered me deeply. I gave a hiss and asked the same question again.

Lily skidded to a stop, her eyebrows lowered. Where had he come from? She asked herself. He just appeared out of nowhere. She took another long drag on her tar product before answering his quesetion. "Uhm, I'm just swinging here, I didn't really think I was hurting anyone or anything." She looked at the ground slowly.

"Well , you are. This is my land and i don't like people playing on it." i snorted and walked closer and seemed to growl as i circled you. i seemed to be studing you as i walked around you. My gaze got a little softer. i stopped infront of you. "You better get out of here before you regret it." walked pasted you and into the forest watching you to make shore you left.

Lily listened to his serious words and watched him head into the woods. That was odd, she thought as she pulled herself out of the swing. She normally wasn't all for listening to what rules people had for her, but she definitely didn't want that guy to come back, and who made it 'his land' anyway? She glared after him before throwing her bag that she had set on the bench over her shoulder. Lily was on the sidewalk now, pulling her trench coat tightly around her, the wind had picked up and she was one of those people that got cold when the temperature dropped a few degrees. She shivered violently and having really nowhere to go she walked into a dimly lit coffee shop and sat down in one of the booths in the back. She threw her bag over the table and let it occupy the booth across from her. She noticed that the cafe was actually warm so she shed her coat and set it next to her bag, but not before pulling that box out again. She glanced around, looking for a no smoking sign, but not finding one, so she lit one up, sucking in the toxin.

I smiled as the girl finally lefted. i was a bit sorry for her thou , i mean she didn't know that it was my land. Man i was so stupid for snapping at her , maybe if i was able to find her i could apoligize and maybe finally make a friend. I chuckled and stood up and walked out of the darkness of the shadows and began to head for the sidewalks were i knew she would be.
As i walked i asked myself some questions , how was it that i could sense when people were near?How was it i could scare people so easily with eeven trying? How was i able to dim down fire when it went a blazing? How was it i could charm some girls when some didn't even like me. But my biggest question was how was it when i got angery wild fires seemed to spring up.Like last year , i had caused ten wild fires and nearly burn down a school.

He looked to lily, noticing the regular. "And what would you like today Lil'? A coffee? Black?" He asked, eyeing Mercury across the way from her. He had never seen her walk in with anyone else, much less of the opposite sex. She nodded and watched him retreat to the back to make her drink. Lily's eyes were on him now, her dark eyes searching for different feelings in his own. "What's up?" She asked leaning back and putting her arms on the bench.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you early , i have a short temper. I'm here to apolize." (sorry , spelling not very good.) I eyed you and looked outside to the darkened sky , i sighed and looked back at you. "So will you forgive me? Oh , and my names Mercury by the way." i smiled . "And you are?"

"It's alright, I forgive you," She rested her hand on top of his as she continued to speak. "I understand that people have bad days." She chucked lightly, not wanting to fill him with the same small bit of tension that she was experiencing. "Some more then others. And I guess," She pulled away now, her hand retreating to set neatly next to the other in her lap. "I was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. And by the way I'm Lily, It's a pleasure to meet you Mercury-" She was cut off when he flew out the door. Her violet eyes followed after him and her eyes widened at the sight of the engulffed tree tops. But she was all too curious as to why he ran out the way he did, how was he expecting to help? She pondered these questions as Maurice walked up, her coffee in hand. "Here's your coffee, little one just the way you like it." He set it down in front of her and while wiping his hands clean with a dish towel he noticed the horrifing sight before his eyes. He ran to the back to call an ambulence.

Lily with coffee in hand went out to see what was taking Mercury. It had seemed like an awfully long time that he had been gone and she wanted to make sure that he was still alright. She spotted him across the street and she sauntered over to him, taking a sip of her coffee. "Darling, is everything alright?" She called before she stood beside him looking up into his eyes with her dark purple ones. She glanced away from him for a moment to view the bird. She raised an eyebrow, curious as to why it hadn't flown away in the presence of people being around but she shrugged it off, thinking it to be nothing and her eyes and full attention was on him again.

Underworld? Father? Dying? .....Bride? Lily stepped back, trying to ease herself away. She suddenly had the srongest instinct to run away. The other part of her, the curious side, decided to wait and see what this was all about. If she were to leave she would forever have so many unanswered questions. She saw sleepless nights and constant daydreaming, wondering what could have happened if she stayed there that day. So it was decided. She firmly placed her converse where she once stood and walked over to Mercury, standing on her tip-toe's she whispered into his ear. "What is this bird talking about...?"

Lilly decided that it was in her best interest to follow, if not she would most likely regret it. She stayed close behind Mercury, not taking her eyes off of the bird for more then a minute. She was all too curious to leave now, and the thought of even possibly going to the underworld more then interested her. It always seemed impossible, heaven and hell, as well she wasn't really the religious type and tended to stick to the wrong path so the idea of going into the devil's realm wasn't the least unsettling. She smiled and thought back to the bird's words of a bride being involved. Without hesitation Lilly interlaced her fingers with his, grinning at him, she hoped that he wouldn't pull away.

I looked down at the lava that surrounded the castle , i thought about what would happen if i fell throu. I told you to go first and i would be right be hind you.

"Go!Go!Go!" i shouted to you , as we began to run the wood snapped out from under nearth me and i plundged into the lava.

Lily barely made it to the other side before the whole bridge collapsed, all of it falling into the lave as well. She was on her hands and knees, (she tripped) and her breathing was hard. She glanced down at her stinging knee and saw that she had gotten a nasty scrape. She looked away from the wound and tryed to ease her breath. What had happened to Mercury? Did what she thought she saw really happen? She crawled over to the edge where the bridge had been and looked over, hoping he would be there.

The crow gave a laugh and flew into the castle and brought a towl and a elder man who was barely able to walk. The man looked down at you and smiled , he when to the edge and looked down at the Lava. The bird flew just over the edge and called down.
"Your highness i don't think he made it." the bird skrieched , The older man shook his head as if disagreeing with the bird.
"Wait a minute." A few minutes ater there was a loud roar and a black dragon flew up into the air and landed on the roof of the castle. The black dragon slid down it and landed on his feet a few feet from you. The dragon gave a groan and turned into Mercury who was couched over himself trying to cover himself. (the lava roasted his clothes) Thee od man walked to him and handed him the towl and Mercury took it and wrapped it around himself.
