Personality
Harkos is a very distant man. His face usually distressingly blank, and his conversations very brief, he is not known to be outgoing or even could be considered friendly. Though not a rude man he keeps his distance from those who he has not come to trust, and though there is a possibility of people becoming friends with him, it is not often as he is very misunderstood. Harkos cares for others and will always protect the innocent, he believes in justice and seeks to maintain it whenever possible. Always observing the environment around him, despite his blank stare, he pays attention, and is a wonderful listener. He struggles to be in a place where men and woman, and others constantly bark at each other like dogs, not taking the time to observe body language, where most of the conversation is happening, it can be a great source of frustration for him when people take his quiet observance for weakness, or idiocy.

Harkos comes from the Adem, a culture that favors silence over many things, and communicates mostly through body language. They are a race of warriors.. Though nearly all Adem are great warriors, only one grows stronger in the silence. Harkos discovered this ability while sparring with classmates, after injuring a few, he realized that he has to limit himself. After relaying his ability to his teacher, and later on Shehyn (kind of the headmaster) they decided it would be best if he went to a school where he can pursue other studies, where he won't injure his classmates, but be accepted, despite his strange attributes. Though they do encourage his continued training in fighting, the Adem would not hesitate to cut off one of their own who lost their ability to fight due to lack of practice. At the school is where he discovered his second ability, he can understand those who speak with him, even if it's in a language he does not understand. Harkos does understand english, and speaks it very well, and that is the only way he is able to communicate at all, as most do not understand his strange body language. With a lack of expression, and his strange body language, it is difficult for others to understand him as a person.
