Elizabeth walked around the school with her head down until she got to the exit. Finally free of the maze of hell. Everything brought back memories of the day years ago.. it brought a small smile to her face as she felt her pocket knife's rough texture in her pocket. As she got out, she noticed a dim glowing from inside the deserted building a few blocks away. Smoke? FIRE! She dropped her books and ran to the building. "Hello!? Hello!?" She panicked. "Is anyone in there?!" She saw Aaron inside. "Aaron! Get out of there!"

Aaron was completely entranced by the flames that surrounded him. The warmth of it, the smell of it, and especially the sight out of it. He enjoyed the sight, it was one of true beauty to him. He was standing inside of an abandon building he lit on fire with his signature red samurai lighter. He heard someone calling out a hello, and he jumped. He quickly slid the lighter in his pockets. He saw that the person was Elizabeth, she called for him to leave. Aaron was mad that he wouldn't get to enjoy his creation. "There's no one in here, lets go!" He said pretending to be afraid of the fire. He ran to the front door hoping that Elizabeth was close by and didn't go looking for someone else. He knew how dangerous his art could be.

"Are you sure? Should I call the police or firefighters?!" She grabbed her mobile phone, dialing '999' "Hello! Yes. Umm.." She put her phone down for a moment, covering it with her hand. "What road is this?" She looked around. "No, we're on a.. Well we're by.. You know Skylar School? Yeah... There's an aban- YOU'LL KNOW IT WHEN YOU GET HERE!" She sighed, looking at Aaron. "Did you see what started this??" She noticed the fire had spread to the side of the next building. She suddenly had the fear to run as far as she could.

Aaron staring at the flames still said "Of course there's no one inside" he realized how suspect that made him seem so he finished up with "...I checked every room so unless someone wandered in within the last five minutes..." Before he knew it she was calling the fire department. He wanted to be far away from this place as possible before they got here. "I didn't see what started this" he answered feeling the lighter in his pocket a bit more on his leg. "We gotta get out of here, we could get hurt. C'mon!" he said in a panicked voice as he began running away.

"Wait for me, Aaron!" Elizabeth backed away slowly, then spinning and sprinted to catch up with him, sure the fire services would be able to see the smoke like she could. "Are you ok? Are you burnt??" She said as they both headed down the street they lived on. "Maybe we should inform everyone.. I'm sure the twins'd love to know. Always looking for gossip. You start with your family, I start with mine." She ran off to her front door, fumbling around awkwardly with her keys and eventually opened it. She ran inside, yet knowing she would not tell her own family as there would be no fireworks unless someone had died, which she assumed didn't.

"Wait!" he ran after Elizabeth not wanting anyone to be aware that he was anywhere near that burnt house. He stood at the doorway of her home, hoping that she would come back. He had to think of some way to distract her, come up with bigger news, or convince her not to tell anyone they were there. He stood there thinking of something aas he waited for Elizabeth to come back down if she heard him, he was starting to worry.

Elizabeth turned as she was about to leave the hallway that lead to the living room. She was just going to say she'd told her parents and left. "Wait!" Aaron said, appearing at the open front door. Her parents glanced up at her from the open doorway that lead to the living room. "Umm.." She closed the living room door and turned back towards Aaron's location, jogging up to him. "What? Have you told your family already?" She raised an eyebrow, knowing there was something more behind the facade he was showing. "What is it? Was someone in there?!" This time, she actually figured she would wait for his reply than going off and doing something stupid.

Aaron tried to think of something quick, but there seemed like there was nothing he could do. "I started the fire Elizabeth..." he started to say "...I smoke cigarettes. I didn't want my parents to find out until I left the house. I'm trying to quit, but sometimes I just get these urges when I'm stressed out,... so please don't tell anyone we were there, please." Aaron lied, giving Elizabeth a fake shameful look. He hoped that Elizabeth wouldn't tell anyone about the fire, he could live with people thinking he smoked, but arson was something he didn't want anyone to know.

Elizabeth stared deep into him, as if trying to see into his soul. She couldn't see any faults with his tale but she couldn't see anything to say it was particularly true, either. She decided to ... "Alright. Just, promise you'll quit. Don't start any other fires and certainly don't let anyone else see you smoking. I don't think the Urio twins'd be as kind as me. But, I still think some of the people should know, like.. your own parents! They could help you!" Elizabeth said enthusiastically, trying to help as usual. It usually got her into trouble at some point but she deffinatly thought she was doing the right thing this time. "The whole neighbour hood will help you if you need it." She smiled angelically. "See you in school tommorrow, then?"

When Elizabeth said that the whole neighborhood would help that frightened Aaron. He didn't want to be a sympathy case for an addiction he didn't have. He just smiled when she said it. "Thank you Elizabeth for understanding, and I'll see you in school" Aaron said as he walked away hoping that'd she keep her mouth shut. From now on Aaron had to be cautious about burning down the buildings. He would more than likely have to find buildings outside of the neighborhood, so suspicion wouldn't arise. Elizabeth had taken away his fun, he had to find some way to get back in control, but for now he headed home.

Tessa had awoke to find the young Eliza playing with a hair brush. "Watchya got there sweetie?" Tessa had told the darling little girl that her mother had left and would never come back, that she wanted Tes to be her mother. That was a year ago. Eliza believed every word. "A brush. Can you brush my hair?" She said in her innocent, young voice. "Of course angel." The girl ran to the bedside and sat criss cross on the floor, her back to Tes as she brushed her hair. She sung a little song, like she had for the past year. "Darling, you're hiding in the closet once again. Start smiling. I know you're trying real hard not to turn your head away. Pretty darling, face tomorrow. Tomorrow's not yesterday." The little girl hummed along. "I have to go now darling. Stay here and play. Don't go outside. Don't look out the windows." The girl's appearance had changed drastically since she went missing, but she still wanted to be safe. "Yes mommy." Tes grabbed her bag and left the house, headed toward the treehouse.

Elizabeth noticed Tessa walk over to the hill just before she closed her door. Everytime she saw Aaron, Tessa and Travis from her bedroom window, she always had the small tingle of fear down in her gut that they would actually find Amelia Urio under the ground. It had been years though and every time they had come close she always had the time to hide it again before they noticed. When they were younger, they would all play together. Her, Tessa, Aaron, Travis. They were quite good friends untill she couldn't bare to look at Travis or Tessa anymore. She looked so much like her mother, Tessa did. Then again, Tessa spent a lot of time at home now and Aaron was too pre-occupied being Mr. Popular. Not that she held a grudge or anything, just she didn't agree with it. The only one who seemed to be true to themselves was Travis.

She was about to put the curtain back to normal, hiding her her bedroom window, then Tessa looked directly at her. Elizabeth waved polietly, then quickly setting the curtain down and sitting on her bed.

Travis was resting on a bean bag chair reading a Sherlock Holmes novel to pass the time. It was such a nice day out, he figured it was a good idea to go to the treehouse and read. His phone went off and he checked it to see he got a text from Nancy, he smiled and replied back to her. Putting his phone down, he looked out and saw his sister Tesssa coming towards the treehouse. Travis wondered what she was coming over here for.

Tes felt someone watching her, and turned to find Elizabeth staring out the window at her. The girl waved and quickly closed the blinds. That chick is wacko. Something about her made Tessa's skin crawl. She picked up the pace, and noticed her brother in the treehouse. She rolled her eyes, as she wasn't close enough for him to see, then waved and acted happy to see him. She was hoping he wasn't here and Aaron was. She never had any alone time with him. Tes climbed the ladder to the treehouse. "Hey bro!" She tried her best to act enthusiastic. "Whatchya doing?"

Travis looked up and saw Tess looking at him. "Nothing, just some light reading." He motioned to the book. Judging from the look on her face, Tess was disappointed about something. "Something bothering you sis?" He looked at her with a raised eyebrow. His phone buzzed again equaling another text from Nancy, Travis couldn't help but grin as he replied back to her. Only Nancy knew how he felt, only she was the one who could understand him.

"Just a long day ahead, got a job interview at the market." She didn't want her brother to know about how she really felt. "Soooo what book?" Tessa really didn't care, but she had to change the subject. Her brother had a way of prying her head open and playing jump rope with her thoughts. If she changed the subject, so would he, usually. Hopefully, this time he would follow suit.

"Just some mystery novel." He shrugged his shoulders. "Job interview huh? Well if you get it, a job will be better then what you usually do." Travis knew what he was really meaning basing it off Tess' reckless chasing and flirting with boys. He knew it would get her in trouble someday if she kept up with it. Ever since his twin discovered boys, it had made his life hell watching her daring chance with each boy that caught her attention. He often heard the rumors the jockey told each other of Tessa and half hoped they were not true. But nowadays he never understood her anymore, so he didn't know what to believe anymore.

Aaron continued on his way home when he saw something that caught his eye. Just beyond his house he saw a boarded apartment building. This must've been recent because he had never seen it before. Aaron reached in his pocket and held his lighter in his hand. He had never burned an entire apartment building and he was getting an itch. He knew that if he did this Elizabeth might get suspicious, but he had to absolutely had to do it. He stood staring at the building in a trance of how the flames might rise and how the smoke might smell.

"What's that supposed to mean? Is that a slut joke?" Sure Tes deserved the title, but she hated how everyone assumed she was a slut even though she had never had sex. Flirting is harmless, kissing is harmless. It's not grounds for being a hooker or stripper or whatever guys called her. Sure she had done some things, but she still hadnt popped the cherry so she wasn't a slut. Tessa looked at her brother, half angry, half hurt. He had always been there for her, but lately he acted like she was some annoying little pest and an insult to his name.

Travis felt bad when he saw the hurt look on Tess' face. "Look I'm sorry sis. I didn't mean to take it that far." HE stood up and put a hand her shoulder. "I just worry about you ok." He then gave her a shoulder a reassuring squeeze as he made to climb down the treehouse. Nancy had invited him to come over for dinner and maybe more afterwords. Nancy meaning Nancy Dehlers, the hot & attractive history teacher at the twins' high school. It also meant that Ms. Dehlers was the talk and dreams of all the hot blooded males at the school. And he had her all for himself. It was amazing on how his relationship simply evolved from simple teacher and student. It changed into something great and wonderful, and the both of them never wanted it to end.

Tes nodded as her brother talked and left. She sat in the hot pink beanie bag she had bought for herself. Being the only girl, it was easy to keep it to herself. She layed back, pulled out her phone, and texted Aaron.
To: Aaron
Hey wanna come hang at the tree house?

She hoped he would answer yes.

Fire had been the only thing on Aaron's mind who still stood standing looking at the building. In his mind he knew he had to burn it and it had to burn now, but just then he felt something vibrate in his pocket. He was snapped out of his trance and he started to think more logically, deciding not to burn the apartment building until precautions had been set. He grabbed his phone out of his pocket to see he received a text message from Tes asking him to come hang at the treehouse. Of course Aaron would go because these were some of his closest friends, but in order to keep his cool kid appearance he decided not to text back and just show up.

Aaron began walking to the treehouse, looking back at the apartment building. It was true, Aaron had fallen in love...with a building. Arriving in front of the treehouse, Aaron looked up at it and let out a big "Watzaaaaaap!". Aaron was trying to bring that catchphrase back into style currently.

The nerd catch phrase of her only real friend rang thru the air. Tes walked to the window of the treehouse. "You big dork!" She laughed and waved him up. "Whatchya waiting for? Get up here!" She was so glad he was here. More importantly, her brother was not. First time in months! Guys are so territorial. "So what's up Farihen?"

Aaron smiled as he climbed up to the treehouse, he was glad to see a friend. Hanging out with his friends was the only thing that kept him busy enough to stop thinking about fire all the time. After all, Aaron always was carrying his lighter.

"So what's up Farihen?"
"Eww you know I hate it when you call me that, Urio" he said with a sarcastic disgusted looking face but smirking afterwards. Aaron stuck out his fist to Tes and proceeded to say "Pound it...". Aaron kept looking at his fist and then back at Tes wide-eyed in a funny way, waiting for her reaction. Tes was a close friend to Aaron and because of that he treated her like one of the guys at times.

Tes looked at his fist. "Pound it? Who do you think I am? My brother? News flash! I'm a girl! We hug!" Tessa loved her sarcastic fights with Aaron. She pushed his fist down and held her arms open. "ORRR is Mr. Wanna-Bring-The-70's-Back too manly for a hug from his cute friend?" Yep, gotta love sarcasm.
