Cheif's Story

Kui:
"But he hurt the tree..." She whispered to her self. She looked at Chris. She sat in the solf grass. She looked up at him waiting for him to react to her sitting. She glanced over at the tree, she put her hand on the grass. 'If they think me as a beast as you say, why are they not reacting?" Kui asked Chris still looking at the dead tree. If they only knew the inportance of trees and everything else on this island or deeper in the woods, they'd understand more. She looked back at chris, Then looked at the solf grass and touched it. She smiled, the grass made her think of her mother. Grass was her mothers favorite thing,she loved to just lay on it.

Chief:
She came out of his big hut. He looked into the distance. "Kui is probably at the rock." He decided to go there and greet her a good morining. He Started his walk and had a bad feeling somethings going to happen. He kept that i mind but kept walking to the rock. When he got there she wasn't there. He started walked more to the edge of the rock to see a ship, With men going in and out of it. He quickly looked down seeing Kui sitting in the grass with one of them standing right next to her. "Kui!" he yelled.

Chris:

Chris smiled at her but then sighed and sat beside her. "But he hurt the tree... If they think me as a beast as you say, why are they not reacting?" Chris sighed. "They view you as a weak woman and if I am a man of science they probably thought I was trying to examine you.." he said shly then turned his head to hide his blush. He was one not to hurt a woman in any way,whether she be under the crown or a native to the new world. He thought for a moment but then shot up and almost jumped as he heard a yell. [i]"Kui!" he heard then saw a man probably around his mid thirties standing on the rock. Chris stopped dead hoping he would be of peace.

Kui&Chief:
Kui sprung up and turned around seeing her father. "Father i-" She started to say but to say but she was cut off by her father. "-Not another word! Get up here before the hurt you.." She looked at chris then climbed up the rocks and to her fathers side. He pointed the way of the village and she sighed and started to walk twards it. Chief looked down at chris and stared at him for a little then followed behind his daughter.

When they go to the village everyone was outside of their huts awake and active. She went inside her fathers hut and he came in shortly after. "What were you doing dont you know they can hurt you! You have know idea how dangerous that is." He signed "I don't want to lose you too, its bad enough with your m-" He stoped when he say Kui's tearing up face. When ever Kui hears about her mother she starts to cry because she misses her so much. "Im sorry sweetheart. I didn't me-" Kui interupted. "-Its okay father.." She looked up at him. He pulled her into a hug and said "I'll keep you save darling i won't let anyone hurt you..." He said then signed.

Chris:

Chris was flabbergasted. "Father I. Not another word! Get up here before the hurt you.." the man sounded serious that he actually thought the he opposed a threat on her daughter. Chris was stunned as the man glared at him. He left behind his daughter and Chris was quickly knocked out of his trance. He went back to his journal and quickly started to jot down all that he could remember and what she was like. He needed to remember her, and if he could talk to her again. He took down everything from her clothes too her shape too her questions. She seemed to be out of her mind on paper but she was just of a different culture and Chris felt nothing of it.

He finished writing then picked up his gun and headed back to town as it started to get dark.

Kui:
After being dragged into the woods She looked at Chris. "Yes i do know that..i just am very corious." She said then smiled...The smile went awaywhen she peered at the sun.."I-I have to go my father will look for me soon." She said looked at him quickly climbed the rock to the top..looked down at him 'I'm sorry i'll try to come back" She said then starting running to the village. She made it back just in time. Before her father had came out she sat by the door outside acting as if she'd been there waiting. She looked at her father when he came out.."Good morining Father." She said then looked back to the ground.

Chief:
He came out after hearing Kui say "Good morning Father" He looked at her and smiled "To you as well my dear." He was happy to see she hadn't run off. "Kui come walk with me.." He said walking away. Kui got up and followed. "I'd like to talk with you" He said looking foward. "Alright, Father." Kui said and walked beside Him. "Well, Kui i went to your hut last night and you weren't there...' He said glancing at her. Kui gasps.."Father i swear i know you didn;t want me to go there but i couldn't help it." Kui said looking at her father. "Yes i know Kui you get that from your mother..but you need to understand that if they get the chance they will hurt you.' He stoped in his tracks, and turned to her. "Promise you won't sneak off again?" He asked Kui.. "Father you know i can't make that promise but i will try.." She said looking at her father then he hugged her. "Alright Just be careful..try to make the right choices." He signed then headed back to the Village.
