| Distinct Markings |
Scars:
She has a tone of them from fights however she has two very predominate ones. The first a scar that reaches from her wrist to her elbow that runs along the outside bone of her arm, that is covered by her tattoo of the word Beautiful. The second ones is faded, but it runs from the top of her elbow to underneath her eye. Both scars were from the night that Collin put her in the hospital and almost killed her.

Piercings:
Tans is a sucker for pain. She has several piercings: She has the right side of her nose pierced, an industrial ear piercing as well as three lode piercings on each side. Her Belly button along with her tongue is also pierced. Her most recent piercings however are her collarbone piercings which she absolutely loves.

Tattoos:
She loves tattoos, but doesnā€™t have a ton yet. However she does have a few. She has the words ā€œBeautiful Disasterā€ tattooed on her arms. Beautiful on her right and Disaster on her left. She has the word ā€œWonderlustā€ under the side of her right breast. Lastly she has a Moth design centered under her breasts.
ā€œMy parents don't really care, so I just keep adding more.ā€

|ā˜ |Losing her friends:
Even though sheā€™d never admit it, her tight knit group of friends is everything to her. No matter how fucked up they all are, she loves all of them and if anything happened to one of them, sheā€™d probably lose it.

|ā˜ |Getting back with Collin:
She loves Collin, she always will, but there is a part of her that knows heā€™s dangerous and extremely bad for her. When they were together, they OD several times, because of him, not to mention to few times they were arrested and let go because they were underage. Sheā€™s convinced that one day his temper will kill her. However, she canā€™t seem to stop thinking about what they had and it makes her want him back.

|ā˜ |Becoming useless like her mother:
She absolutely cannot stand her mother. That much is clear by the fights they get into and as far as Tansy is concerned she doesnā€™t have a mom. She knows her drinking is to a point where she tends to act like her mother and sheā€™s scared that sheā€™ll end up like her and sheā€™d hate herself forever if she did.
ā€œFear is a four letter word, so get over it.ā€

| Personality |
Bad doesnā€™t even begin to describe Tansy. Sheā€™s a complete contradiction. Her pretty, innocent, features would make anyone assume sheā€™d the smart innocent girl, who sits at the back of the class, gets straight Aā€™s, and never gets noticed. In fact thatā€™s most peopleā€™s impression upon meeting her, then she opens her mouth and you realize you were terribly mistaken.

She loves to party, so much so that itā€™s probably going to kill her one day. She doesnā€™t exactly know when enough is enough. Sheā€™ll drink until she canā€™t remember the night before, she carries a flask in her backpack to school. Sheā€™s dangerously addicted to cigarettes, rough sex, adrenaline rushes, and drugs. Often times her brother is the one thatā€™s babysitting her, because sheā€™ll honestly hook up with any guy and sometimes girls if sheā€™d completely shit faced. Sheā€™ll start fights and most the time she walks away without a scratch, however thatā€™s not the case for the person on the receiving end.

She refuses to listen to authority and if you tell her she canā€™t do something, sheā€™ll do it to prove you wrong. Sheā€™s impossibly stubborn and she wonā€™t give in, unless you force her. Sheā€™s complicated and itā€™s a wonder she can even keep a boyfriend, because most people run low on patients with her especially when sheā€™d drunk or highā€¦or both.

When sheā€™s sober, which is about forty percent of the time, sheā€™s not much better. She has a nasty attitude that doesnā€™t at all suite her pretty face. When Tans is sober, sheā€™s quitter and tends to observe people way more. Sheā€™s insanely good at reading body language and people in general. Sheā€™s actually a lot smarter than most people give her credit for, her IQ level registers at a genius level.

She tend to roll her eyes if you say something she thinks is stupid, sheā€™ll flip you off and cuss you out if you piss her off, and the looks she gives you could kill, there quite terrifying actually. All of this attitude and roughness came from her relationship with Collin. He was bad for her but she refused to believe it. Sheā€™s practically the girl version of him now. Her and her mother get into fights constantly, her mother calls her awful names and tells her all the time that her favorite child is Kaleb, that has also contributed to her nasty behavior.

However when itā€™s just her and her friends or her and Kaleb, sheā€™s actually a really good person. Sheā€™s really lost and still pretty heartbroken over how things ended with Collin. It would take someone really willing and patient to break through the thick walls sheā€™s built around herself, to find the real Tansy.

| History |
Family Tree
Roy Everett||Father||Alive
Vera Everett||Mother||Alive
Kaleb Everett||Older Brother||Alive

Tansy was born into a rather boring family. Her mother was a nurse and her father a suite and tie business man, who spent his time kissing his bosses ass trying to get a raise. They were a middle class family. Tans was the second born a year and a half younger than her older brother, because of the small age gap her and her brother grew up extremely close. She told him everything and he told her everything and he was always overly protective of her, even thought she was a spite-fire and didnā€™t really need his protection.

When she was ten, all her fatherā€™s ass kissing finally paid off and his job relocated him across the ocean to England, this was when her somewhat normal life, turned into a fucking horrendous mess. Her father was making enough money to support the family alone and so he insisted her mother Vera stay home and spend more time with the kids, the kids that in all honesty she never really wanted. So instead of spending her time getting to know her kids, she spent her time yelling and Tansy and Kaleb to do all the house work, while she sat on her ass, watching soap operas and getting wasted.

A year after they moved to England, her mother started having affairs on her father, not bothering to try and hide it, only she threated her kids that if they told, sheā€™d hurt them. It was a miserable existence and at the very young age of twelve Tansy and her thirteen year old brother Kaleb were walking the city streets and getting drunk. Eventually their father found out, but he didnā€™t leave he loved their mother and wanted to work things out, but their mother was impossible.

At fourteen, Tansy had already fucked half the guys in her junior high, tried nearly every drug on the market, snuck into shady clubs with her brother, and was getting drunk every weekend and barely making in to school come Monday morning. The was when she meet Collin Bryce, who for the next two years she dated him on and off and fell completely head over heels for him. She was convinced one day sheā€™d marry him. They partied hard together, got drunk, OD several times, and fucked every chance they had. It was great, beautiful actually. But, when they fought it was brutal, Tansy was responsible for most the fights, because she hated her home life so bad, it was easy to take it out on Collin. The night he put her in the hospital though, Kaleb beat the living shit out of him and left him for dead. Everyone who was anyone was talking about Tansy and Collins tragic love story like it was a summer blockbuster.

Now sheā€™s even worse when it comes to parties and half the time she ditches school to get wasted. Her father has stayed with her mother despite the fact that she continues to cheat. Not to mention one of her good friends Reed has become a rebound to fill the emptiness now that Collin is gone, only heā€™s not really gone, heā€™s starting to weasel his way back into their tight knit group of friends. Tansy is afraid though, she may have feelings for her best friends twin brother.

Mad
- By Cassie Steele
Oooh, Oooh, Oooh, Oooh

Do you feel higher as a liar?
Feel the need and the greed
Do you dabble in the fire
When the Devil is asleep?
Do you like a brother's woman?
Let your hands say what they want
Do you like to be the villain?
If you do
Then come on

If you think you're some demented
Miscreant with no where headed
Then I got somewhere you should be
If you think that you're unworthy
'Cause inside your brain's disturbing
Baby, come along with me

Angry
Baby
Turned into a crazy
Child
Who got wild in her teens
Angry
Lady
Still misbehaving
You're brain sick
Just like me

You know I'm mad
Mad
Mad
You know I'm mad
I'm mad
I'm mad
I'm mad
You know

Are you down in the daylight?
Are you happy when it rains?
Does the night make you alive?
Feel the dark in your veins
Do you like a little substance?
Do you love a lot of drink?
Do the hot and heavy moments
Make your life worth living?

If you think you're some demented
Miscreant with no where headed
Then I got somewhere you should be
If you think that you're unworthy
'Cause inside your brain's disturbing
Baby, come along with me

Angry
Baby
Turned into a crazy
Child
Who got wild in her teens
Angry
Lady
Still misbehaving
You're brain sick
Just like me

You know I'm mad
Mad
Mad
You know I'm mad
I'm mad
I'm mad
I'm mad
You know

Ever get the feeling
That we'll be alright?
Life was meant for living
We're doing just fine
Don't let nobody tell you
That your soul ain't right
Because you need the darkness
To enjoy the light

Angry
Baby
Turned into a crazy
Child
Who got wild in her teens
Angry
Lady
Still misbehaving
You're brain sick
Just like me

You know I'm mad

Save Me
- By Niki Minaj
I drove for miles
Just to find
You and find myself
All these screams
All these voices
In my head
You gave me strength
Gave me hope
For a lifetime
I never was satisfied

[Chorus]
This time won't you save me
This time won't you save me
Baby I can feel myself givin up
Givin up
This time won't you save me
This time won't you save me
Baby I can feel myself givin up
Givin up

[Verse 2]
It's not your fault
I'm a bitch
I'm a monster
Yes I'm a beast
And I feast
When I conquer
But I'm alone
On my throne
All these riches
I came this way
All this way
Just to say hey

[Chorus]
This time won't you save me
This time won't you save me
Baby I can feel myself givin up
Givin up
This time won't you save me
This time won't you save me
Baby I can feel myself givin up
Givin up

[Bridge]
I'm givin up baby
I'm givin up baby
(feels like I've been driven for miles)
I'm givin up baby
(and I can't seem to silence these voices in my head)
This time won't you save me
(please save me)
This time won't you save me
(please save me)

[Chorus]
This time won't you save me
This time won't you save me
Baby I can feel myself givin up
Givin up
This time won't you save me
This time won't you save me
Baby I can feel myself givin up
Givin up

She was scared of his temper, sure, but what scared her the most was the fact that he actually might be serious this time. She was scared that for once she might not actually get her way, she was scared that maybe this time sheā€™d fucked up so back that there was no fixing it, there was no amount of kissing him or batting her eyelash that could win him over and that fear hit her harder than his slap had when he shoved her away.

"No Tansy, I don't think you get it." his eyes were cold and angry and she hated that she was the cause for all of his pain and she deserved exactly what she was getting. He shrugged and his jaw clenched, she knew he was tired of fighting her. "I'm. Done. You picked Collin, so why don't you go have him alright?" he said lighting a cigarette and she finally let her tears fall because sheā€™d really lost him. "Besides, even if you got down on your knees and swore from here to China that you've changed your mind and want me now, I don't really think I can trust you and I probably never will."

It was silent for an agonizingly long moment and Tansy could stop herself from crying. She wasnā€™t exactly sure what to say to get him to stay and it killed her. Sheā€™d never not had control of a situation. Suddenly she hated Lauren and Collin and her brother. She hated that she was so fucked up and she hated that this time sheā€™d pushed Donnie too far. She had no one to blame but herself.

ā€œDonnieā€¦ā€ She breathed trying to come up with something, anything to get him to stay. Because the realization of losing him and his slap had managed to sober her up. She whipped her tears, picking her brain for something to say, but there was nothing she could say, he was right about everything.

She knew full well what this would do to them, they could never be just friends again. The thought of not even having him as a friend was agonizingly painful and broke her heart. Sheā€™d always had him when things fell apart, he was always the one she ran to and now she didnā€™t have him. She wasnā€™t entirely sure what sheā€™d do without him, heā€™d been her back bone for some many years that now she just felt paralyzed.

ā€œOkay.ā€ She finally breathed, like she was giving up, because heā€™d already made up his mind and she didnā€™t have the strength to fight him, because losing him had taken everything out of her. Sheā€™d never felt so completely broken in her entire life. ā€œIā€™m sorry.ā€ She whispered before walking to the curb and sitting because she honestly felt sick and he knees felt weak and when she walked away she didnā€™t want to watch.

Reed couldnā€™t exactly focus on what was going on around him, because he was in too much pain. He just knew that Lea was barking orders, like she normally did when he was sick, keeping her cool when everyone else was freaking out. Eventually theyā€™d gotten into car and he could only assume they were headed towards the hospital, he wasnā€™t particularly excited about it, but he didnā€™t exactly have much of a say. When theyā€™d finally gotten there, EMTā€™s and Emergency doctors were waiting outside for them, which meant Lea had called on the drive over and he hadnā€™t even noticed.

Finally theyā€™d gotten him onto the stretcher and pushed him back into the emergency room, heā€™d heard them tell Lea and Candie that they had to stay in the waiting room. Eventually though heā€™d passed out completely.

---
Demetri and Lea and Reed had become fairly close over the past month and the first time Lux had passed out, was the first time Lea made him spit out what was going on with him. Lea called Demetri letting him know what was going on before she sat down next to Candie. She wasnā€™t stupid, she was a smart girl and it wasnā€™t hard to put two and two together that Lux and Candie had been fucking just before.

It killed her, because she was honestly in love with Reed, but she knew all too well that he didnā€™t love her and he never would no matter how good she was to him, because he was so hopelessly hooked on Canide. It was silent between the two of them for a long time.

ā€œDo you love him?ā€ She finally asked, she was fearless for as young as she was and pretty bold. She knew it was a touchy question to ask to a girl sheā€™d never meet but she didnā€™t care. ā€œIf you plan on taking him away from meā€¦at least make sure you love him.ā€ She breathed not bothering to look at Candie. ā€œBecause he sure as hell loves you.ā€ She sighed running her fingers through her long blonde hair. It was hard for her to talk about, because she was jealous of Candie, for having the hold she did on Reed.

Almost as soon as they arrived at the hospital, Reed was rushed off and her heart twisted, knowing that, whatever it was, it was bad and he'd been dealing with it a while now. There wouldn't be such a rush about it all if it wasn't a serious threat to his life. She felt left out, not knowing what was wrong, but she couldn't bring herself to ask. Just knowing he was in trouble was bad enough. She wanted to know, but she was still panicking. She wasn't sure she was ready to find out what it was that was causing all the worry.

Just like the way she'd been too afraid to go back and check if Kaleb really was dead, now she was afraid to ask what Reed had, terrified the news would be worse then she thought and it turned out he had three weeks left to live or some life-threatening condition with no cure. She couldn't stomach listening to how bad the situation was. She already felt sick, weak, and emotionally jumbled. If she asked, she might break down or worse, throw up.

So instead, she just sat in the waiting room, biting her nails nervously. It was a habit she'd stopped years ago, but every once in a while, when she was particularly stressed, it came back and she was definitely stressed at the moment. Lea was making a phone call, leaving Candie alone with her worries for a while before she came and sat next to her, not that it was much comfort, sitting next to Reed's current girlfriend after having just spent the majority of the dance fucking him.

Silently, she wondered how long this had been going on, thinking back to their relationship and trying to find signs, remembering the night of the party, when Reed had rolled out of bed and gone to lock himself in the bathroom. She'd heard coughing and had worried, but dropped it as soon as he started touching her. Was that really just a little coughing, or had he been sick then too? Her head hurt, trying to think about it and she honestly just wanted out of there.

She didn't do well with worry. She very rarely worried about things, it wasn't her way of doing things. She just pushed away anything that worried her with drugs or anger until it blew up in her face, but this was different. She couldn't hide from this and pretend it wasn't happening. She had absolutely no other option. She just had to sit there nervously and wait for the worrying to end.

ā€œDo you love him?ā€ Lea finally a asked after a while of silence and Candie stiffened for a second, her question taking her by surprise. She'd expected Lea to just ignore her, and even if she chose to talk, maybe just try and make uncomfortable small talk about the weather or something. The last thing she'd expected the girl to bring up was her relationship with Reed. Suddenly a little uncomfortable, Candie fidgeted in her chair before lighting up a cigarette, blatantly ignoring the No Smoking sign on the wall. ā€œIf you plan on taking him away from meā€¦at least make sure you love him. Because he sure as hell loves you.ā€ She sighed and it fell silent again.

Candie wasn't looking at Lea, she couldn't bring herself to, but she could tell a lot of things from her tone of voice. She was hurt by what her and Reed had, as well as jealous of it, but she didn't sound angry at either of them. Sad, yes, but not bitter. If anything, her words were protective of Reed, wishing he loved her, but ultimately, wanting to make sure he ended up with someone who really loved him. Reed deserved someone like Lea who would take care of him and do everything she could to make him happy. She'd always be there for him and never hurt him.

"I do love him." She finally answered tiredly, breathing out a cloud of smoke. "I love him so much, it's killing me." She admitted, feeling strange about saying these things to Lea. She was jealous of the girl because Lea was good for him and she wasn't. Lea could give him the type of relationship he deserved. She could love him in ways Candie wasn't sure she ever could. She was too fucked up and broken to keep herself together let alone Reed as well just as she knew he could never fix her, and when they tried to lean against each other for support, one of them always ended up hurt.

"But don't worry," Candie shrugged, bringing her cigarette to her lips. "He's not going anywhere, I won't take him from you. As soon as I find out he'll be okay, I'm gone." She said like she didn't care even though the words hurt just to say. "I need coffee so I'll be in the cafeteria. Come get me if there's news." She said simply and stood, walking away because she couldn't sit there anymore. It was agonizing, sitting next to Lea, knowing about her pregnancy and knowing that the girl would have the only thing she'd ever wanted in life because she had the capability of being everything Candie never could.

She wanted to do the selfish thing and tell Lea to give up, that her and Reed were meant for each other but she couldn't. Not only was Lea a hundred times better for him than she'd ever be, but she was carrying his baby. If she walked away, eventually Reed would get over her because taking care of his family wouldn't leave any room in his day to sit around missing her. At least Lea would take care of him. Hell, Candie had been living with him for four months and could only remember a few coughing episodes because she'd been too selfish and self-centered to notice anything was wrong. Lea had found out something was going on within the month she'd been with him.

Candie sat down in the cafeteria for a while, staring blankly at the writing on the side of her coffee cup, letting the hot drink get cold. She hadn't even taken a drink, just sat down and started staring at it, fingers tracing the phone number and name the flirty cashier had written on the side absentmindedly, simply for the sake of something to do. She couldn't get Reed and Lea out of her head and it was driving her crazy. She wanted to head outside and call Dimitri to bring her something that'd numb her nerves but she couldn't. There was no way she was leaving. At least not until she heard Reed was going to be okay.

She got a lot of strange looks, seeing as she was sitting in a hospital cafeteria, not even attempting to sip the coffee in her hands, still in her glittering prom dress, heels on the table next to her. She didn't care though, she was used to being looked at and noticed. It really wasn't anything new so she ignored the. After a long time, someone sat across from her and she glanced up, raising her eyebrows when she saw who was sitting there because she'd literally just been thinking about him. "Dimitri." She breathed, taking a sip of her coffee like she'd just noticed it was there, wincing in disgust when she realized it'd gone cold. "What are you doing here?" She asked bitterly.

"Lea asked me to come." He shrugged casually and took her coffee from her hands, throwing it in the trash without even bothering to ask if she still wanted it, but she didn't care. She wasn't going to drink it. "Reed and I have gotten pretty close since the two of you split." He smirked and candies jaw clenched because she hadn't known that. Great. Looks like she had to add Dimitri to the list of Reed's friends she'd fucked while they were together and had continued to fuck over the past month. "Come on," He said, standing and pulling her up with him. "Let's go wait upstairs in the waiting room."

Before, Candie had just passed the time by sitting alone staring into space, but now she really just wanted Lea to come and tell her there was news because she didn't like the idea of having to sit and wait with Lea and Dimitri. If she was asked what she thought hell looked like, she'd probably describe it as sitting in the waiting room of a hospital waiting to know if her ex was okay while his pregnant current girlfriend sits on one side of her and his friend, whom she'd cheated on him with, sat on the other side of her.

It was quiet for a long time and Donnie couldn't look directly at her. He just smoked his cigarette and avoided her gaze because she was crying and, as pissed and drunk as he was, he still couldn't stand to see her tears. He knew if he looked her in the eye, he'd give in and he couldn't. What was the point of trying to show her that her games wouldn't work anymore if he just folded as soon as she started to cry?

He didn't want to leave her or hurt her, but if that's what it took to finally make her realize just how much she needed him, then he had to. She needed to figure out that not everyone was willing to play a part in her games. Not everyone would bend to her every whim, letting her get whatever she wants and get away with hurting everyone she came across.

ā€œDonnieā€¦ā€ She breathed and he prepared himself for an excuse, waiting for some perfectly acceptable reason for why she was always acting like she did that would make him doubt his choice and tempt him to sweep her into his arms for a kiss. He readied himself to say no to her, no matter how forgivable she made herself seem, or what she said to cut through him and make him feel like shit.

ā€œOkay.ā€ She finally breathed after a while, surprising him because it sounding like she was giving up and he knew her well enough to know Tansy wasn't a quitter. She didn't willingly let go of the things she wanted. ā€œIā€™m sorry.ā€ She whispered and the words were so out of character for her, at first, he thought that was the "approach" she was taking to get back to him and then, almost instantly, he felt like shit for thinking it. Had it really gotten so bad that he thought she was fucking with his head even when she was simply trying to apologize?

Donnie sighed out a breath of smoke, watching, honestly shocked, as she gave up and walked away. What the fuck should he do? He wanted to go after her. He wanted to grab her and tell her that if she'd just promise him she'd give up Collin, that it'd be okay, that they could work things out. But he couldn't, because, like he'd said, he wasn't even sure he could take her word for it. She could just be playing another game, lying through her teeth and it tore him apart.

He wanted so badly to trust her because he loved her and couldn't live without her, but he couldn't and it hurt like hell. It left him standing there, having no idea what to do and wishing she'd just turn around and say something he could trust because he needed her. Watching her walk away was just as painful to him as it was for her to hear him say he was done, but he knew he couldn't go after her. They'd only fall right back into their cycle of destruction if he did and that was the one thing he knew for sure he needed to stop, even if he was confused about everything else.

Tansy lit a cigarette and she told herself that sheā€™d give him one full cigarette and if he didnā€™t come after her, then it was really over. Her hands shook as she lit the cigarette, from both emotional and physical exhaustion. She didnā€™t even really smoke the cigarette, sheā€™d mostly just let it burn. Because letting it burn, gave Donnie more time to come and tell her it was all going to be okay, but when the cigarette finally burned out and she glanced up to where heā€™d been, he was gone.

She could feel herself dying, for once just like Donnie said, someone had fucked her over and there was no one left to pick up the pieces. Tansy couldnā€™t exactly find the energy to pick herself up from this one, but she had to. She had to accept the fact that he wasnā€™t coming back for her and it was her fault. She heard Collin calling her name and that was what forced her to get up, because if Collin got a hold of her and she spent the night with him, there was no guarantee sheā€™d wake up in the morning.

By the time sheā€™d gotten him, it was late and she was exhausted. All she wanted to do was sleep. Kaleb still wasnā€™t home and she hated him for that, because for the first time in a long time she needed him. She slipped inside ready to head up the stairs when she saw the burning end of a cigar and raised a brow. She knew who it was, because the familiar scent of the cigar gave it away, it was her father. Sitting alone in the dark and she knew something was seriously wrong.

ā€œDad? Are you okay?ā€ she breathed sitting down next to him on the couch and she could only make out his silhouette as he lifted the cigar to his lips and it was quite for a long moment as she waited for him to answer.

ā€œYour mom left.ā€ His voice was shaky and Tansyā€™s stomach twisted, sure she hated her mom, but she was still her mom. ā€œI tried everything.ā€ He said his voice raw like heā€™d been crying and Tansy couldnā€™t remember her father ever crying.

She lend her head on her dadā€™s shoulder. Tansyā€™s heart was officially broken and she knew in the morning sheā€™d be bitter and cold. She hadnā€™t just lost her boyfriend, sheā€™d lost her mom now too. Everything seemed to be going wrong at once. She sat there with her dad for a long time in silence, because she wasnā€™t exactly sure what to say to make either of them feel better and she knew whatever she said would only make her fall apart.

Eventaully her dad had gone to bed, but Tansy couldnā€™t sleep. Sheā€™d sobered up and loosing Donnie had really sunk in and sheā€™d cried until she couldnā€™t cry anymore. Sheā€™d dialed his number about a million times, but never actually called him, because she had no excuse and no amount of apologizing could fix them. Then sheā€™d thought about calling Collin, but thankfully she was sober and knew that wouldnā€™t solve a God damn thing. Eventually the sky had started to lighten outside and she was still sitting on the couch, eyes burning from practically crying herself to death.

Finally sheā€™d moved from the couch into the kitchen to make herself a cup of tea, hoping that it would calm her nerves enough, she could go upstairs and sleep away the rest of the weekend. She lend against the counter absentmindedly staring out the window, she raised a brow as a cop car pulled into her drive way and suddenly she had a bad feeling, because Kaleb had never come home last night and that was out of character for him, he always came home, it was Tansy who usually didnā€™t come home.

Reed wasnā€™t entirely sure how long heā€™d been out of it, but when he finally woke up, they had him in his own room, hooked up to a bunch of machines. His shirt was off and they had wires hooked up to his chest, not that it had surprised him all that much. His body was sore and he felt like complete shit, he sure as hell didnā€™t want to be in the hospital, heā€™d much rather just rest at home, but he knew that they werenā€™t going to let him go for a good few hours.

Things were coming back to him in flashes and he remembered Candie. Fuck. He thought. She was going to probably be pretty pissed at him for not telling her, not that he really thought she cared all that much. He was sober now, probably cause theyā€™d flushed his system of any drugs and he was starting to realize just how badly heā€™d fucked up last night, he hadnā€™t meant to cheat on Lean and heā€™d beat the shit out of Kaleb so badly he wasnā€™t even sure if he was alive or dead. It was all one big fucking mess because he couldnā€™t control his damn temper.

ā€œOh good, your finally awake.ā€ And older nurse said with a bright smile and he just scoffed rolling his eyes, he knew the women well, somehow she ended up always being his nurse when he was admitted. ā€œThe doctor wasnā€™t expecting you to wake up this soon.ā€ She said as she checked his monitors. ā€œBut, itā€™s a good thing you did, your girlfriend and her friends are out there waiting for you, theyā€™ve been bugging us for news all night.ā€ She smiled.

Making Reed realize for the first time that it was morning and heā€™d been out all night. Which meant his body had gone into shock and heā€™d glanced down at his chest to see bright red marks, meaning his heart had stopped at some point and theyā€™d had to use the paddles to restart it. He glanced back up to the nurse with a sigh.

ā€œWhoā€™s the other two with Lea.ā€ He asked, hoping that Candie was out there, but at the same time not really expecting her to be.

ā€œA pretty brown haired girl and that guy that always tags along with your girl.ā€ She said simply sliding a needle into his IV and he groaned in pain because whatever sheā€™d filled his veins with was burning. ā€œDo you want to see Lea?ā€ she asked.

ā€œNo.ā€ He shook his head. ā€œI want to see the other girl.ā€ He said and she knit her eyebrows in confusion, but just nodded as she left the room.

Candie sat with Dimitri and Lea the rest of the night alternating between pacing nervously, sitting staring blankly into space, and badgering the nurses for information. The longer they waited, the more worried she got and, though every centimeter of her body was sore and exhausted from her crazy night, she couldn't sleep. She was terrified of falling asleep and waking up to the news that Reed had died.

Eventually, it had gotten to the point where Dimitri had stopped her mid-pace and forced her to take a seat. He'd placed some pills in her hands and she tried to give them back, knowing what accepting drugs from him meant and not exactly feeling like "paying" him at the moment. He only shook his head and pushed her hand back towards herself with a smirk. "They're nothing expensive or hard to ger, just mild muscle relaxers." He shrugged. "They'll help you calm down. Your pacing is driving us all crazy so it's on me." He said as he sat next to her again.

Candie hesitated at first because Dimitri had never really done anything nice for her, so she had to admit, she was suspicious, but in the end, she knocked them back and was asleep, leaning on Lea's shoulder within a half hour. It felt good to actually sleep, even if she was awkwardly crumpled up in a waiting room chair, it was better sleep then she'd had in a while. Over the past month without Reed, she'd really only slept when her body got so weak, she passed out of pure exhaustion and was forced to.

Not because she was trying to sleep deprive herself, but simply because she couldn't. Life without Reed had been more than just emotionally painful. Physically, it had fucked her up too. It was like she'd suddenly forgotten how to function without him around, meaning she rarely slept and only ate once a day. She'd pretty much been running on dwindling willpower and shitloads of drugs for the past month. This was the first time in over thirty days that she'd slept more than three hours without waking up restlessly.

When she finally woke, it wasn't because she couldn't stay asleep, it was because someone was nudging her, and it took her a while before she realized where she was and all the night's pain came right back to her, hitting her hard. Lea was asleep in the chair next to her and Dimitri was just coming around the corner, three coffees in his hands. It was a nurse who'd woken her. "Honey, he's awake. He says he wants to see you." She smiled reassuringly, but Candie didn't feel reassured. She felt sick.

She'd intended to stay only until she knew he was alright and then leave before he ever even knew she'd been there, but now that he'd asked for her directly, she wasn't sure she could exactly avoid seeing him. She'd look like a bitch if she just took off and left him there so she sighed and stood with a nod, silently glad Lea wasn't awake. It'd probably hurt her that Candie was the first person Reed wanted to see.

Candie took one of the coffees Dimitri had before letting the nurse lead her down the hall. She gestured to his door and Candie just nodded before she slipped in silently and stood there at the door for a second, looking him over. "Reed..." She finally managed weakly, walking over and sitting next to his bed in a chair, eyes down on her lap. She wasn't sure what else to say. There was a lot to say. Questions about what was going on with him, irritation and anger that still lingered from everything that had happened the night before, and then the fact that she had to end things with him for good. So he could be with Lea.

It was all too much and she hated herself for the few tears that managed to get out and hit the sequins on the lap of her dress. She had too many thoughts in her mind to organize them all. There was how good Lea was for him, the pregnancy he hadn't told her about until after they'd fucked, the fact that, because of it, she couldn't seem to shake the used feeling still lingering over her from their sex the night before, whatever he had that had landed him in the hospital, his nearly dying, the threat he'd made to kill her, not knowing whether Kaleb was alive or dead.

"What's going on?" She finally breathed, keeping her eyes on her lap, deciding to focus on the issue right in front of her first: the fact that he was lying in a hospital bed and she still had no idea why. "What exactly is wrong with you and how long has it been going on?" She asked softly, taking another sip of her coffee and turning her head to watch nothing in particular out the window.

Donnie struggled for a long time with his urge to go after her, but in the end, he chose to just walk away. He had to. He wasn't sure if it was forever or just a few days, but the bottom line was that she'd never realize just how much she needed him if he kept letting her push him around like a toy. If he walked away, he forced her to feel just as played, hurt, and lonely as he had and maybe it'd help her realize how much she loved him.

Maybe not, maybe he'd lost her forever and the thought was unbearable, but they couldn't continue the way they were. They just kept hurting each other, never getting anywhere, just constantly repeating the same arguments over and over again, making the same mistakes every time, and hurting each other more and more with each fight. If things went on like that, at some point, one of them would definitely kill the other.

So in the end, Donnie just went home. He beat the shit out of his mother's boyfriend and kicked him out for the thousandth time, just because he could and he was angry, but he knew it was pointless. The guy would be back in the morning. At least for one night though, he was gone and his mother had followed, leaving him alone seeing as Candie had moved out a while ago.

He drank until he blacked out and when he woke the next morning, the house was a total disaster. He'd torn through it like a tornado, and yet he couldn't remember a second of it. The door opened and his mother stumbled in with Craig, looking dazed. She stopped in the entry when she saw the house, looked around, shrugged, and pulled Craig off to her room.

The sight pissed him off so much, Donnie just rolled his eyes and went outside, sitting on the front step for a while, smoking. Eventually, a cop car pulled up in Tansy's driveway next door and he raised his eyebrows. It wasn't exactly uncommon for the cops to be on their street. If their group wasn't causing trouble at Tansy's place, his own family was fighting so loudly and violently that the police had to be brought into it.

Still, last night had been anything but normal. He'd dumped tansy for good and that worried him because he knew her. She tended to lash out in dramatic ways when she was in pain, and he knew that meant she could be in serious danger or trouble. What if she'd gone home with Collin and he'd beat the shit out of her? Donnie winced at the thought and kept his eyes and ears on the house, hopping like hell that Tansy was okay.

There was a knock at Tansyā€™s door and she thought that maybe she shouldnā€™t answer it and whatever they were going to say, whatever trouble Kaleb had gotten into would just disappear. Only they knocked again and her father came down the stairs dressed in his suite ready to go to work making his way to answer the door before Tansy got the chance to and she walked behind him, listening the cops as she took a sip of her tea.

ā€œMr. Everett?ā€ the officer spoke and Tansy could tell just by his voice that something was seriously wrong and suddenly her stomach was twisted in knots. Her father nodded. ā€œWe regret to inform you that your son Kaleb, was found dead this morning.ā€

Tansyā€™s whole body ran cold and she froze, her coffee cup full of tea falling from her grip and shatter on the floor, yet she didnā€™t move and her father turned around, managing to grabbed her before she collapsed to the floor out of pure shock. As strong as Tansy was, there were something things that completely tore her up. Loosing Donnie, then her mother, and now her brother, sheā€™d managed to loose everyone aside from Candie that actually meant something to her in less than twenty-four hours.

She didnā€™t even realize how hard she was crying until she was gasping for air. Her father held her trying to calm her down, but it didnā€™t seem to be working. Before Collin her and Kaleb had been incredibly close, because all they had was each other and sure theyā€™d had their disagreements, but sheā€™d have traded her motherā€™s life for Kalebā€™s any day of the week. Her father was holding it together well, only because he knew he couldnā€™t fall apart at least not yet, eventually though her father had carried her to her room, because the police insisted he needed to go down to the hospital and identify his body.

Tansy didnā€™t move, she couldnā€™t she felt paralyzed at the thought that sheā€™d been there last night and not once had she tried to find her brother or see how he was doing. Sheā€™d just kept repeating the last time sheā€™d seen him, they hadnā€™t exactly been on the best terms and she hated herself for that.

Reed waited for what felt like an agonizingly long time. There was a part of him that doubted that the girl the nurse had been talking about was even Candie. He knew he well enough to know she didnā€™t do well under stress. She was a lot like Tansy in that both of them though running when things got bad, made the problem go away when in fact it made it worse. He sighed convinced she wasnā€™t coming. He wanted to be pissed at her, but he was honestly too damn exhausted.

"Reed..." he finally heard glancing up to see her walking in and even though she seemed completely overwhelmed and stressed, he was glad that sheā€™d shown up instead of running from him. It was quite for a long moment before she finally spoke, keeping her eyes on her lap. "What's going on? What exactly is wrong with you and how long has it been going on?" she asked softly and he wasnā€™t sure heā€™d ever heard her voice take such a soft tone and it made him realize how fucked up everything was around them.

She was supposed to be strong and fearless on the outside even if she wasnā€™t feeling it on the inside and he was supposed to be taking care of her, not sitting in a hospital bed having almost died. He should have never let her go, he should have just ignored her affairs and kept his mouth shut. Heā€™d have been miserable, but at least he still have her and it frustrated him to thing off all the other guys she was letting touch her, because they didnā€™t care about her not like he did.

He let silence fall between them for a long time, because he wasnā€™t exactly sure what to say to her. He could easily tell her that heā€™d just overdosed and keep her in the dark. It was easier that way, because he hated when people worried about him. However, he knew lying wouldnā€™t help, sheā€™d find out one way or another and heā€™d much rather her hear it from him.

ā€œSince Tansy and I were together.ā€ He finally breathed. ā€œIt wasnā€™t as bad then.ā€ He said honestly. ā€œThe drugs are killing me, my hearts failing Candie.ā€ He shrugged like it wasnā€™t a big deal. ā€œIā€™m sorry I didnā€™t tell you, I thought I was protecting you. I just didnā€™t want you feeling sorry for me.ā€ He said glancing to her. ā€œAnd, Iā€™m sorry about last night. I wasnā€™t in my right mind, I was an ass.ā€ He said honestly and he was only apologizing because he was sober, had he still been high, heā€™d probably have tried to pick a fight with her. But, in all honesty he meant his apology.

It was quiet for a long time, making Candie nervous as hell because she knew if he was delaying it, then it had to be bad. She almost wanted him to lie to her and tell her that he'd just had a bad drug reaction or something because, even if it wasn't the truth, at least it'd make it easier to walk away from him and let him be with Lea. At least that way she could lie to herself and convince herself he was okay and happy and maybe that way she could move on.

ā€œSince Tansy and I were together.ā€ He finally breathed and she took a deep breath, hating that he'd been dealing with this for a long time and hadn't told her. Honestly though, she couldn't blame him. She'd cheated on him so much, she hadn't exactly given him too many reasons to trust her. ā€œIt wasnā€™t as bad then. The drugs are killing me, my heart's failing Candie.ā€ He went on and she winced. ā€œIā€™m sorry I didnā€™t tell you, I thought I was protecting you. I just didnā€™t want you feeling sorry for me.ā€

Candie sighed and set her coffee aside, running her fingers through her hair, hating that they were even having this conversation. ā€œAnd, Iā€™m sorry about last night. I wasnā€™t in my right mind, I was an ass.ā€ He said, making her bite her lip, remembering everything that had happened between them the night before from their sex, to their fight, right up until she'd watched Reed beat the fuck out of Kaleb, the whole night had been one mistake after another.

"It's okay, I treated you like shit." She breathed like she didn't care because she was just used to getting tossed around and she really didn't feel like talking about what had happened. Bringing it up would only cause her to break down and she couldn't do that. She needed to keep it together or she'd never be able to give him up like she knew she had to.

She wanted to tell him if it was the drugs that were killing him, that he should quit but she kept her mouth shut because she knew it'd only start a fight. He was about as likely to give up the drugs as she was to stay faithful to him if they got back together. "I'm glad you're okay now." She breathed, standing and finally letting her eyes fall on him. "But I should go. I really only stayed to make sure you were alright." She shrugged, biting her lip and looking away again, trying not to cry. "You've got Lea now and she's pregnant. There's no room for me in your life anymore." She whispered softly. "I love you Reed, goodbye." Candie sighed, leaning down over him and kissing his lips softly, hating that it'd probably be the last time she ever would.

Donnie sat out there for a long time, watching as the police disappeared in the house. He could see through Tansy's kitchen window from where he stood, so, even if he couldn't hear the words, he knew something terrible had happened. He could see her father's expression as the cop spoke to him and watched Tansy nearly collapse, jaw clenching, needing to know what had happened.

It was an instinct if his, to want to help and protect her because, even before they were a couple, she'd been his best friend for a long time and sitting there helplessly knowing she was in pain was agonizing. He wanted to run up to the house and pound frantically on the door, demanding to know what was going on. He wanted to hold her and listen to her cry because that's what he did. He was there for her when her world fell apart.

After a while, her father came outside and Donnie stood from his spot on the front step. "Mr. Everett, everything okay?" He called across the lawn and the man just stopped and when he turned to look at him, Donnie's heart twisted. He wasn't sure he'd ever seen so much pain in one glance.

"Kaleb's been found... D-" He started, but didn't seem to be able to finish so he just swallowed and shook his head. He didn't have to finish. He knew what word he couldn't get out. Kaleb was dead. The thought hit him like a freight train because, even though the two of them hadn't been on the best terms lately, there'd been a point where they were extremely close and now he was dead. "Do me a favor Don and make sure Tansy's okay." He breathed before continuing to follow the police.

Donnie sighed and glanced up towards Tansy's bedroom window, knowing he had to listen to her father and go that care of her for a bit. Even if he'd broken up with her, this was bigger than that. Her brother had just died and he knew that, on top of the break up, would have her feeling alone. Alone wasn't a good thing for tansy to feel. When she felt lonely, she tended to get herself into more trouble than she could get herself out of.

So, with a sigh, Donnie went up to the house, not bothering to knock, just letting himself in and heading upstairs to her room. The door was cracked open a little so he pushed it all the way open and stood in the doorway, looking her over. "Hey." He breathed softly. "Your dad told me." He sighed, walking over and sitting on the edge of her bed, running his fingers through his hair. "I know last night was a mess, but you should know I'm still here for you Tansy." He said, glancing at her. "You can trust me, you're not alone." He sighed.

Tansy felt numb, she wanted nothing more than to fill the bath tub with water and drown herself. She was beyond miserable and the only person whoā€™d ever protected her, didnā€™t even want her anymore. She realized sheā€™d dug herself a hole that she couldnā€™t climb out of and she wasnā€™t sure she would ever be able to. She felt physically sick and more than anything she wanted to know what the hell had happened. The only thing she could think was heā€™d overdosed.

She managed to work up enough energy to sit up and dig through her dresser drawer and pull out a bottle of pills she popped them into her mouth not bothering to wash them down with anything, theyā€™d numb her even more then she already was if that was possible and thatā€™s what she needed. She sunk back down into the bed, wanting so badly just to fall asleep, but with everything on her mind it was near impossible.

"Hey." she heard someoneā€™s voice but it didnā€™t register that it was Donnie, in fact it kind of sounded like Kaleb. "Your dad told me." he breathed and her back was facing him as he sat down on the bed next to her running his fingers through her hair, but she didnā€™t even react. "I know last night was a mess, but you should know I'm still here for you Tansy. You can trust me, you're not alone." he sighed and she did to only hers was silent.

She stayed silent for a long time as if she was asleep. She wanted to beg him to take her back, because heā€™d nailed it assuming she felt alone, heā€™ll she felt like the loneliest person in the and if there was a chance at trying to fix her before, there was no chance in hell for fixing her now.

ā€œYeah.ā€ She finally breathed. ā€œDid he tell you my mom left us too?ā€ she asked, her voice was raw from having spent all last night and the better part of the morning crying. ā€œI didnā€™t think so.ā€ She breathed before he had the chance the answer. ā€œYou should be happy though.ā€ She said although her words werenā€™t cruel, she just sounded completely defeated, like it wasnā€™t even Tansy. ā€œNo oneā€™s left to pick up the pieces this time.ā€ She spoke, her voice was weak and shaky.

He watched Candie and it was like he could read her mind, because he knew her so well, that even before she opened her mouth he knew she was going to leave him and that killed him. It made him hate sitting in that damn hospital bed, helpless. He couldnā€™t let her walk away not again. As fucked up as it was, he didnā€™t give a shit about Lea and he didnā€™t give a shit if Candie was still fucking Demetri, he needed her. He was scared that if she walked away this time and he let it happen that heā€™d up either getting himself killed or put behind bars.

"It's okay, I treated you like shit." she breathed and he rolled his eyes, because she acted like she didnā€™t care and he knew better. "I'm glad you're okay now." she breathed and he hated that she was just giving up on them "But I should go. I really only stayed to make sure you were alright. You've got Lea now and she's pregnant. There's no room for me in your life anymore." she whispered softly and his jaw clenched. "I love you Reed, goodbye." she sighed leaning down and kissing him softly.

He fisted a hand in her hair, holding her in the kiss tightly. He kissed her hard, begging her with his kiss for her not to leave. He moved his lips along her jaw before pulling away, but grabbing ahold of her arm tightly, not tightly enough to hurt her, but tight enough that she would have to struggle to pull away, he held her eyes.

ā€œYou donā€™t have to do this.ā€ He breathed. ā€œLea doesnā€™t mean shit to me Candie, she doesnā€™t make me feel alive, not like you.ā€ He said honestly because if she walked away, he at least wanted her to know how he really felt, not how a high Reed felt, or how he felt right after they fucked, but how he whole-heartedly felt about her. ā€œWe donā€™t even know if sheā€™s pregnant, she thinks she is, I said that because I wanted to hurt you babe.ā€ He said looking away because he hated that heā€™d admitted that, but she hat to know. ā€œAnd if she is, we can work it out.ā€ He said dead serious. ā€œJust say the words babe and Iā€™ll leave her.ā€

Candie had meant to turn and leave him after a quick, soft goodbye kiss on the lips, but before she could pull away, Reed reached up and fisted his hand in her hair tightly, keeping her there. The kiss quickly went from soft to hard, his lips desperate, begging her not to leave, making it impossibly hard to think straight as he started to kiss her jaw. She'd missed him so much and, even though they'd fucked last night, this was different. This was desperate and he was clearly letting her know how much he needed her whereas their kisses the night before had mostly been bitter and angry.

Eventually, he pulled away but kept a tight grip on her arm so she could go anywhere unless she fought him. Part of her was glad he was fighting her to stay because she loved him and she needed to know he still loved her, but she was also upset about it because it was making it that much harder to walk away like she knew she should. She wasn't good for him and Lea was. He needed to focus now on having a child, not trying to juggle Lea, her, and the new baby.

ā€œYou donā€™t have to do this. Lea doesnā€™t mean shit to me Candie, she doesnā€™t make me feel alive, not like you.ā€ He breathed and she closed her eyes, taking a deep breath because he was making it so hard. ā€œWe donā€™t even know if sheā€™s pregnant, she thinks she is, I said that because I wanted to hurt you babe.ā€ He said and she bit her lip because it had definitely worked. ā€œAnd if she is, we can work it out. Just say the words babe and Iā€™ll leave her.ā€ He promised and Candie sighed deeply, utterly torn.

What happened if she stayed with him and she was pregnant? There was no way in hell she'd let him walk out on Lea and the baby, but how would they work? How would he be able to divide his time between his job, Lea with the baby, and her? What were they supposed to do, the three of them move in together like some fucked up happy family? If Lea lived alone, she'd end up doing the majority of the work alone and Candie didn't have the heart to be the person that forced her to figure out how to raise a child on her own. Hell, the girl hardly even looked sixteen.

After a long silence, Candie sighed and sat on the edge of his bed, dropping her face into her hands with a groan. "I'll only hurt you again Reed and we'll end up right back where we started." She whispered, voice shaky because honestly, she was scared. She didn't want to stay with him and go back to being defendant on him just to wind up alone again because she'd fucked up big time and driven him away. She wasn't sure she'd survive losing him a second time and now that's she'd done it once and knew what it felt like, the thought terrified her.

"I need you so much." She admitted because she did. She couldn't keep living like she was. It was impossible. She just kept letting people use her to survive and it was tearing her apart. Every time she slept with her landlord when she was late in rent, her boss when he threatened to fire her, or Dimitri when she needed drugs, it wore her down a little more. Without Reed to love her and make her feel like she was actually worth something, she was a total wreck and she couldn't take it anymore.

It was quiet for a long time but Donnie stayed right where he was. He wasn't about to leave her alone after the news she'd just gotten. Hell, even if she was laying there asleep or tied to drive him away, he wasn't going to leave. He was going to stay with her because he knew her and he knew she needed someone. Whether she needed him to hold her, talk to her constantly, reassure her, or even just sit there silently, she knew, in the end, she just needed company.

ā€œYeah. Did he tell you my mom left us too?ā€ She finally breathed, words rough from old tears that made him wince, knowing part of the reason she'd been crying was him. ā€œI didnā€™t think so. You should be happy though.ā€ She said said and he raised his eyebrows. He'd never be happy while she was this upset. ā€œNo oneā€™s left to pick up the pieces this time.ā€ She finished, using his words from the night before and he winced.

"Tansy, I was drunk when I said that, I didn't mean it." He breathed. "You frustrate me and drive me so crazy that I don't think I can live with the games anymore, but that doesn't mean I don't want you or that I've stopped loving you." He shrugged and lay down behind her, wrapping an arm around her and pulling her body against his chest, holding her gently so she could break away if she didn't want to be touched.

"I'll always be here to pick up your pieces." He breathed as he kissed her shoulder softly. "You're not alone. You have me, and even if I hurt you too much for you to believe that, you've still got Candie. She loves you too babe." He sighed, rubbing her back gently.

Tansy didnā€™t want him to touch her, because she knew if he did, sheā€™d fall apart completely. She was still in shock over her brother and it hadnā€™t completely sunk in, she knew though the moment he actually touched her like he cared, it all hit her like a ton of bricks and she wasnā€™t entirely sure sheā€™d be able to handle it. She wanted him to leave because in all honest she deserved to be alone, everything that had happened over the last twenty four hours could have probably been evaded had she done everything different.

"Tansy, I was drunk when I said that, I didn't mean it." He breathed and she scoffed "You frustrate me and drive me so crazy that I don't think I can live with the games anymore, but that doesn't mean I don't want you or that I've stopped loving you." she felt him lay down next to her, before he wrapped his arm around her and pulled her close making her body tense with what little strength she had left. "I'll always be here to pick up your pieces." He breathed against her skin as his lips moved along her shoulders making her close her eyes and actually breath. "You're not alone. You have me, and even if I hurt you too much for you to believe that, you've still got Candie. She loves you too babe." He sighed and she matched his sigh with one of her own, letting it fall silent for a long time as he rubbed her back gently.

He was familiar and eventually her body relaxed into him enough that she might actually be able to get sleep if she let herself, but as almost like a punishment she refused to let herself fall asleep. She hated that Donnie had come over, because all she wanted to do was roll over and kiss him and she knew he was too good a person to pull away, because he knew she was vulnerable, itā€™d lead to sex and then her blackmailing him to come back to her, just so she could make him miserable all over again. All of that played in her mind and she hated that she was really tempted to do it, because she was selfish.

In the end though, she loved him way too much to do that to him, despite that fact that she never showed it and only really said sheā€™d loved him maybe two times. The fact of the matter was she couldnā€™t live without him and she was terrified of him, because he made her accountable for her own actions, he didnā€™t baby her or let her get away with shit, like everyone else did. That was what she loved most about him, that he fought back, instead of rolling over.

Finally she rolled over on her side to face him and she knew she looked like shit, her lip was swollen and her cheek was bruised from where heā€™d slapped her, the bruise on her arm where Collin had blown her vein was black now, and her eyes were puffy and red from having cried so much.

ā€œYour right. You canā€™t live with my fucked up games and you shouldnā€™t have to.ā€ She whispered, because her throat hurt that whispering was the only way she could talking without it being painful. ā€œYou deserve someone like Lauren and it kills me that I can never be her. Iā€™ll always be fucked up.ā€ She said honestly, chocking back another flood of tears. ā€œYouā€™re stupid as hell if you ever trust me again Tae, because I canā€™t even trust myself.ā€ She sighed as her arm came up and her fingertips drew swirls on his arms. ā€œAnd you shouldnā€™t have to pick up my pieces, thatā€™s not your job. You should be with Lo.ā€ She said bring her eyes back to his. ā€œIā€™ll be okay.ā€ She breathed but her words were loaded, like she was telling him that it was okay to let go and move on, that sheā€™d be okay without him.

Reed knew that the right thing to do was to let her go, because heā€™d changed so much that if they got back together he was liable to be the next Collin in the group, but he didnā€™t care. The only thing he knew was that he didnā€™t want to watch her walk away, without at least trying his best to fight for her. He would fight harder if he wasnā€™t in that damn hospital bed, because if she choose to walk away it wasnā€™t exactly like he could chase after her. After a long moment of silence he watched her sit on the edge of the bed and drop her face into her hands and he was glad to see that she was at least torn.

"I'll only hurt you again Reed and we'll end up right back where we started." she whispered and he voice was shaky, making him sigh. "I need you so much." she admitted which for her meant more than an I love you, because to everyone else Candie was as independent as they came, admitting she needed anyone was out of character for her.

He let it fall silent for a long moment between them, because he wasnā€™t entirely sure what to say to her. Heā€™d told her heā€™d loved her, he was willing to drop his current girlfriend and possible child in a heartbeat if it meant he had a chance with her and for Lux that was big, because when it came down to being reckless or responsible, he was always more responsible. Heā€™d do anything for her, all she had to do was ask, heā€™d wouldnā€™t question her, heā€™d just do it, because he loved her that much and it was killing him that they were so screwed up that theyā€™d only hurt each other.

ā€œLetā€™s be real babe, Iā€™ve hurt you just as much as youā€™ve hurt me.ā€ He said honestly. ā€œBut, youā€™ve gotta be fucking sick of people using you, Candie I might really hurt you, but Iā€™d never use you and Iā€™d never make you feel like shit, like they do.ā€ He breathed referring to all the guys sheā€™d been with.

He lend up, wincing in pain but ignoring it as he pressed his lips to her neck softly. It was obvious just by the way he kissed her that heā€™d missed her like hell and he was sorry for everything heā€™d ever done to her. He was beyond miserable without her and he wished she knew just how much she meant to him, because he knew her well enough to know she had her doubts about whether or not he actually even cared and that was why she was always going back to Kaleb or fucking other guys, it was to protect herself in a sick twisted way.

ā€œYouā€™re always going to be the best fucking things Iā€™ve ever had.ā€ He breathed against her skin. ā€œThereā€™s no getting over you and I.ā€ he shrugged letting his lips linger on her skin. ā€œI just wish you could see that.ā€ He sighed before leaning back honestly expecting her to leave and heā€™d let her go this time if she chose to, because he wasnā€™t going to force her to stay, heā€™d said what he had to say, it was up to her.

Candie was tired of all the confusion and pain. She was sick of having to make impossible choices. It was killing her, and it drove her insane that she had no idea how to fix it. They couldn't even function as a normal couple. Now his girlfriend was possibly pregnant and their relationship had gotten that much more impossible. It was silent between them for a long time, making her nervous, not sure what he'd say.

ā€œLetā€™s be real babe, Iā€™ve hurt you just as much as youā€™ve hurt me.ā€ He said honestly and she sighed, not wanting to admit it but knowing it was true. Last night was proof enough of that. ā€œBut, youā€™ve gotta be fucking sick of people using you, Candie I might really hurt you, but Iā€™d never use you and Iā€™d never make you feel like shit, like they do.ā€ He breathed and she winced because he was right, as usual.

She felt like shit every single day knowing that she didn't have a single thing that she hadn't slept with someone to get. She'd fucked her married landlord to keep her apartment, her teachers to keep her grades, her boss to keep her job, and even Dimitri for drugs to keep herself numb to it all. The fact that she couldn't make a single move without having to put out for someone made her feel worse than just used. She felt absolutely useless. Like she was only good for one thing. It was why she'd needed Reed back so damn bad. Their relationship was shit most of the time, sure, but he made her feel incredible. He took care of her and made her feel like she was more than just a good time.

Candie closed her eyes as he leaned up and kissed her neck softly. She tried to remember the night before, when he'd held a knife against her temple, or watching him beat the fuck out of Kaleb, but she couldn't. His lips felt too good and the way he kissed her made her feel like he'd missed her just as much as she'd missed him. It felt good to be wanted because of who she was and what they had together as opposed to what she could to in bed. He loved her and, sometimes, it was hard not to doubt that, after years of being told she was worthless, but she needed him because the only time she ever felt alive was with him.

ā€œYouā€™re always going to be the best fucking thing Iā€™ve ever had.ā€ He breathed against her skin and she bit her lip, keeping her eyes closed as she listened to him. ā€œThereā€™s no getting over you and I- I just wish you could see that.ā€ He sighed and lay back again, falling silent, making it clear that he was leaving the choice up to her.

It was quiet between them for a long time as Candie contemplated it. She wasn't sure what to do and it made her crazy because he wanted her to be with him so bad, he'd offered to give up Lea, but she couldn't let him do that. Not if she really was pregnant. She couldn't be the reason Lea was stuck having and raising a baby all on her own, or why her child had no father. "You can't leave Lea alone if she's pregnant." She finally breathed, moving carefully so she didn't hurt him and laying down at his side, resting her head gently on his shoulder.

"I love you Reed and I can't live without you again." She sighed and tilted her head up to place a kiss on his jaw before returning to her spot on his shoulder. "So we're going to make this work. If she's not pregnant, then it'll make things easy, but if she is, you shouldn't just abandon her." She shrugged. "If she's got nowhere to stay, she can take my place and I'll come back with you, but if she wants to have the baby, she shouldn't have to do it alone."

Candie closed her eyes and bit her lip. The thought of trying to make their relationship work if Lea was pregnant was scary. He'd be a father and she was barely even responsible enough to keep going to school and get to work on time. His attention would be divided between her, Lea, and the child and she wasn't sure how she'd be able to handle that, but she knew she had to if that's what he wanted. It was the right thing. "Still, if she's pregnant and wants the baby, it's your choice I guess. If you want to walk away, you can." She shrugged. "I just want you to know that, if you decide to go through with it and be a father, we'll make it work." Candie sighed. She was nervous, knowing, even without the baby, the two of them back together again was probably going to be a train wreck, but she didn't care. She'd missed him so much and now she just wanted him too bad to care.

It was quiet between them for a while before she finally rolled over to face him and he kept his arm around her, eyes roaming her face. The slap from the night before had given her a swollen lip and bruised cheek. He hated seeing what he'd done to her, and wished more than anything he could take it back but knew he couldn't.
Not even an apology would make it okay. He was stuck hating himself for it and hating that he could remember every second of it clearly.

ā€œYou're right. You canā€™t live with my fucked up games and you shouldnā€™t have to.ā€ She whispered, and he held her eyes. ā€œYou deserve someone like Lauren and it kills me that I can never be her. Iā€™ll always be fucked up.ā€ She said and he watched as she swallowed back a wave if tears. ā€œYouā€™re stupid as hell if you ever trust me again Tae, because I canā€™t even trust myself. And you shouldnā€™t have to pick up my pieces, thatā€™s not your job. You should be with Lo.ā€ She said as her fingertips drew circles on his arm and she brought her eyes up to meet his. ā€œIā€™ll be okay.ā€ She breathed, trying to tell him to move on and Donnie sighed deeply, closing his eyes and letting it fall quiet for a second.

Last night, all he'd wanted was to let her go. He'd wanted nothing more than to be able to get over her and forget about her fucked up head games. Maybe even learn to love Lauren as much as he loved her. Still, he'd been drunk and angry then. He hadn't been thinking clearly and he hadn't meant half of what he'd said and definitely hadn't meant what he'd done. He'd just been so frustrated, he'd lost it for a second and forgotten exactly how much he loved her.

Now, laying there with her, holding her and actually able to see how vulnerable she was when it came to him, he couldn't let her go. Sometimes he doubted she loved him because of the way she was always fucking with his head, but, in that moment, he knew she did as he looked at her and he loved her too. He loved everything about her. She was wild, reckless, dangerous, and tough, but there was more that he loved about her too because there was also the Tansy he had in his arms right then and there. The one only he got to see. She loved him even after he'd bruised her face and left her alone, and she was lying there, giving up her own happiness for his, thinking that he could move on and be happy without her.

Donnie sighed and reached out, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear before letting his fingertips softly graze the bruise in her cheek, his thumb running gently over her swollen lip, touches soft, like he was trying to apologize and take away what he'd done. "I'll never be okay without you Tansy." He breathed as he held her eyes. "I need you more than anything." He shrugged, sliding his hand down the side of her face to her neck, wrapping it around the back of her neck to pull her closer, pressing their foreheads together as he held her eyes.

"It's okay that you're fucked up babe, we all are. Honestly, I wouldn't want you any other way. " He smiled softly before using the hand on the back of her neck to tilt her head back and kiss her softly, his lips telling her things he never could, letting her know just how much he needed her. The arm he had around her waist pulled her body tighter against his as he kissed her deeply, letting her know, in the kiss, that she wasn't alone, that he'd always be there to take care of her. "I love you." He breathed softly against her lips.

It was silent for a long time and after last night, Tansy expected he would take her advice and leave. She was beyond hard to love and she wasnā€™t even sure why he was still laying there with her. Sheā€™d honestly never doubted Donnieā€™s love for her, he had to love her, no one else put up with as much as he did. However, she could tell her indecisiveness between him and Collin was killing him, she could see it all over his face and in his body language. More than anything, she hated that it was her causing him that much pain. She almost wanted him to walk away, because it was killing her that she was killing him, but she was too far gone to save and everyone knew it.

He sighed and she prepared to roll back over and let him walk away only he didnā€™t, he reached over and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, but she still couldnā€™t bring herself to look up, because she was terrified sheā€™d start crying again. His touch was soft, making her shiver because she couldnā€™t remember the last time anyone had actually touched her gently or like they actually cared. His fingertips running over the bruise on her cheek from him, his thumb running over her swollen lip. He hadnā€™t said a word, but she could tell just how bad felt for what heā€™d done to her, despite the fact she was convinced she deserved it.

"I'll never be okay without you Tansy." he breathed and she finally brought her eyes up to meet his and she had to force herself to hold his gaze. "I need you more than anything.ā€ he shrugged like it was natural for him to need her that much, despite all the bullshit sheā€™d put him through. He ran his hand down her face, placing it on the back of her neck making her shiver again and she wasnā€™t sure anyone, even Kaleb of Candie, had ever seen her as defenseless as she was in that moment. He pulled her close resting his forehead against hers and she held his gaze. "It's okay that you're fucked up babe, we all are. Honestly, I wouldn't want you any other way. " he smiled and she sighed knowing he was right.

She was honestly about to push him away, not because she wanted to but because the fact that he was laying there with her, practically telling her that no matter what she did to him, heā€™d still love her. He deserved so much better, everyone including Tansy knew that, but somehow Donnie didnā€™t think so. But, before she had the chance to push him away, for his own good, he tilted her head back and kissed her softly in one swift motion. His kiss was incredible. There were a million love youā€™s, a million I canā€™t live without youā€™s. Sheā€™d never felt the way she felt with anyone else when he was kissing her. It was like time stopped and for the moment Kaleb was alive again and her mom hadnā€™t left, her and Candie were still the best of friends. He pulled their bodies tighter against each other and kissed her deeper causing her to moan against his lips, because it felt so good to be kissed like she meant something so someone.

"I love you." he breathed against her lips and she sighed pulling away for the moment and laying back on her back, staring up at the ceiling. It was silent for a long time and she knew he was probably thinking heā€™d done something wrong, however she was just trying to sort things in her fucked up head.

ā€œI love you too Tae, thatā€™s what makes it that much more fucked up, because I need you.ā€ She breathed honestly. ā€œYour all I think about, when Iā€™m fucking Collin, itā€™s you I want to be with.ā€ She bit her lip. ā€œLoving you scares the shit out of me and thatā€™s why I keep running.ā€ She whispered, like she didnā€™t want to tell him. ā€œBut, now thereā€™s Lauren and Collin and Kalebā€™s not around anymore to keep Collin from hurting either of usā€¦ā€ trailed of swallowing back tears. ā€œEverything is fucked.ā€ She breathed clenching her jaw.

The silence between them was killing him. He didnā€™t want to lose her, heā€™d let her go once and he wasnā€™t sure he could do it again. "You can't leave Lea alone if she's pregnant. she finally breathed and he was surprised when she laid down next to him, resting her head against his shoulder and he moved carefully to wrap his arm around her. "I love you Reed and I can't live without you again." she continued as she kissed his jaw, making him close his eyes. "So we're going to make this work. If she's not pregnant, then it'll make things easy, but if she is, you shouldn't just abandon her. If she's got nowhere to stay, she can take my place and I'll come back with you, but if she wants to have the baby, she shouldn't have to do it alone."

He listened to her, relieved that she wasnā€™t going to leave and that he had her back. He hoped Lea wasnā€™t pregnant. Sure he felt like shit, because she was a sweet girl and she was always taking care of him, but aside from the sex there was nothing keeping them together and they both knew it was true, unlike Lea, Lux hadnā€™t developed those kind of feelings for her. Candie was the only person heā€™d ever really loved and it killed him when they werenā€™t together.

"Still, if she's pregnant and wants the baby, it's your choice I guess. If you want to walk away, you can." She said pulling him from his thoughts. "I just want you to know that, if you decide to go through with it and be a father, we'll make it work." she finally said.

Reed wasnā€™t exactly ready to be a dad, but that didnā€™t change the fact that if Lea was pregnant, heā€™d make a damn good dad. However, if Lea wasnā€™t pregnant, he swore he was going to take Candie somewhere else away from the past that clearly jaded their relationship. At least they could start new somewhere else, where Kaleb and Demetri werenā€™t breathing down her back and making her feel like shit till they got her out of her clothes.

ā€œListen babe.ā€ He finally breath, grabbing her chin gently and turning her to face him, he held her eyes. ā€œWorst case scenario, she has the baby. I still wouldnā€™t leave you.ā€ He breathed. ā€œYouā€™re the only reason I try Candie, I love you and were going to making it work.ā€ He said before pressing his lips to hers and kissing her deeply.

The kiss was different than other kisses, because it wasnā€™t rough or drug laced. It was real and passionate. Meant to tell her how much he loved her and how she was the only thing keeping him alive all in the same kiss. He slid his hand into her hair, holding her gently in the kiss. His lips left hers and trailed along her jawline before he pulled away and held her eyes.

ā€œBut youā€™ve gotta stop running from us baby. Iā€™m not going to let you down like everyone else.ā€ He breathed, sincerity in his eyes as he held hers. ā€œI just want you to come back home.ā€ He smirked leaning in and kissing her forehead.
