a character in “Kissed by an Angel”, as played by AuroraMoon

Description

Image

Name: Ivy Spring O'Leary

Age: 18

Grade: Senior.

Gender: Female

Personality: After the accident, and losing her true love, Zach, she is horribly upset all the time. Before, she was very kind, very sweet, and very fun to be around. She would always brighten up any room she walked into. Her and Zach were perfect together, the exact image of a perfect couple. He was her life, and now he is gone. She struggles to get by day-to-day. She is getting sick of everyone urging her to talk about it, when all she wants to do is be alone, or be with friends and talk about anything but the accident.

Appearance: Long blond wavy hair. Beautiful, shining deep light blue eyes. She is short, about 5'4'' and weighs about 110. Sometimes, she is in light, wavy dresses. Other times she'll be in skirts, occasionally shorts and pants. She prefers light blue jeans and light colored skirts and tops. Most of the time, her shirts are tank-tops or form-fitting t-shirts. She has a Monroe piercing. She had a great body, with plenty of curves and a medium sized chest. Her smile is sweet, and innocent.

Likes: Cats, reading, sleeping, tea, coffee, soda, her cat named Bloom, sleeping in one of Zach's old sweatshirts and quiet.

Dislikes: Loud noises (except for parties), rude people, being interrupted while she is reading, hurting all the time, people who tell her she needs to move on. Secretly, she dislikes the people who are acting (or trying to act) like everything is getting better.

Habits: She is always reading, she has a habit of biting her nails when nervous, she also bites her lip when she is shy/embarrased about a boy she finds attractive, she stutters when she is nervous, she is always in her backyard under one of the large trees reading with her cat Bloom.

Special Abilities: Ever since the accident, she has been able to see and sense people's feelings. Everyone she looks at now has a mild glow around their bodies, she seemed to guess that the colors correspond their moods, judging by the vibes she gets from them. Sometimes she feels like Zach is still with her, somehow, which is part of the reason she is unable to move on.

Close friend(s) : Zach, who was her boyfriend. She always got along with his little sister, Esther. Alexe is her best friend, and she is one of the few Ivy may decide to confide in. (Will add more when more character profiles are submitted). She is also good friends with Grace, and spends a lot of time with her as well.

Sexual Preference: Straight.

History: Ivy grew up in East Ridge, and she has never known another town. She lives with her mother and little brother. Her mother was very rich when she was growing up and still is, due to inheritances and the money she makes on her own. Due to her job, her mother is never home. Often leaving Ivy to care after her brother, Adam, who is 9 years old. Ivy and Adam's father is not in the picture, he left her mother when Adam turned 2.

Other: Ivy usually tries to surround herself with her friends, and tries to think of anything but the accident and Zach. When
someone brings either up, she tends to shut herself down.

Ivy let Esther fall into her arms and she carefully wrapped her own around the girl, placing one on the small of her back and the other under her hair and around her neck. She layed her head gently on Esther's shoulder and took a deep breath, fighting to keep the tears to a minimum. For as long as she could remember, Ivy hated crying, so she always fought the tears and kept herself calm. However, in the last few weeks that's all she had done, but never infront of someone else. Ivy took another deep breath the calm herself and found Esther's scent filling her nose. Without any type of perfume on, she smelt exactly like Zach. Ivy blinked her tears away and tried not to think about it, but it was no use. She let her thoughts drift to him. She remembered the way he held her, the way his smile was so inviting, the way he threw his head back when he laughed. Her mind wandered through all sorts of memories, before falling on a peticular conversation they had a few months before the accident.

We were lying on my bed, I on my stomach and he on his back, though we were lying next to each other. I was staring lovingly into his bright blue eyes when a thought crossed my mind, and my gaze suddenly grew more intense. "Zach," I said, soft but serious, "why do you love me?"

My question seemed to startle him, for Zach shifted a little, tilting his head to let his cheek brush upon the bedspread. "Why do I love you?" he asked, eyes meeting my intense gaze with the same level of energy. "Why wouldn't I love you? You're funny, kind, adventurous, sweet, beautiful. Without you I don't know where I'd be.."

I looked away from him for a moment before shifting my gaze back. I laid my cheek upon the bed as well, so our faces were close together and neither of us could look away. "But what makes me so special, Zach?" I pressed, eyes filled with pure curiosity.

"I don't know," he said slowly, corners of his lips turning upwards at the slightest. "Maybe it's the way you smile, the way you laugh, or the way being with you makes my heart flutter, something that doesn't happen when anyone else is around. But I know I love you. If I didn't, my purpose in life would be deminished."

I couldn't help but smile, completely satisfied with his answer. "I love you too, Zach," I murmured, turning over onto my side and slipping my arms around his neck. "And I'll always love you," I added quietly as I ran my fingers through his smooth brown hair.

Just as he had said, his heart seemed to flutter from my delicate touch, for the excitement in his eyes flashed. Zach wrapped his own arms around me, pulling me to him, letting our frames touch, but just barely. He opened his mouth to say something, but when nothing came out, he merely closed it, smiled a bit, then pressed a gentle kiss to my lips.

I felt myself melt into his calming embrace and welcomed the warm feel of his lips against mine. I pressed my upper body harder against his and felt the soft kisses turn slightly more passionate. I pulled myself as close to him as possible, then lifted my lips from his for a moment. "Zach.." I whispered quietly, my lips slightly grazing him as I spoke. "Promise you'll never leave me."

"Never," he replied, voice so fragile it was almost painful. "We'll grow old together, share a bunch of memories. Have a family, watch them grow." Zach kissed her lightly before adding, "Even if I'm gone I'll always be with you."

Ivy blinked, trying to push back the tears that began to flow from her eyes again, but her effort was useless. The tears were falling from her eyes, one after another, some hitting the already damp ground and others finding their way to her lips until she could taste nothing but their salty sting. She bit down on her lip and forced the sobs back, a tight, painful knot forming in her throat. Oh Zach, she said quieter than a whisper, so quiet Esther wouldn't even be able to hear her. You lied to me. You said you would never leave me and you did! How could you do that to me? How could you? She kept the sobs down until the pain in her throat was unbearable, and for a brief moment, her sobs were louder then Esther's. But they quickly dulled into small, pathetic whimpers and another question popped into her head. Why couldn't I have died instead of you? Why do you get to be so lucky?

Ivy untangled her arms from around Esther and took a small step away from her. All Ivy could do was nod when Esther told her she was going to see Daimon. As Esther turned back to Zach's grave, Ivy was hit with a wave of blurred emotions that made her nauseous. Love. Hate. Fear. Confusion. Pain. Ivy took a deep breath and watched Esther as she walked away, noticing the glow around her was wavering through several different colors, as if it was unsure what it should be.

When the brunette was out of sight, Ivy gently dropped down to her knees in front of Zach's grave and ran her fingers over the perfectly etched letters of his name. "Zach.." she whispered. His name flowed softly past her lips and it tasted sweet. For days after the accident, when she was still within the bright walls of the hospital where the smell of death and antiseptic was thick, all Ivy had done was call out for him. All she had wanted was him, but he was gone. They told her he bled out, that there was nothing they could have done for him and that they were "sorry for her loss". Aside from the mental issues, Ivy had walked away from the accident with a deep cut through the middle of her right eyebrow, several bruises and a fractured wrist. They said the survivors were lucky, but Ivy didn't think so. To her, Zach and the others were the lucky ones. They were dead, no longer feeling, no longer able to hurt and she was jealous.

Sighing, Ivy dragged herself to her feet and dusted her knees off. Taking one last look at Zach's grave, she calmly mouthed the words I love you, afraid that if she said them out loud they would be drowned out by thick sobs. Ivy shoved her hands deep in her pockets and began walking away. As she was nearing the cemetery entrance, Ivy saw a blur of long, ebony curly hair. Ivy smiled a little on the inside when she realized who it was. Grace, Ivy said to herself. It had been a couple of days since she'd seen her. Grace, much like Alexe, was one of her closest friends. She was a sweet, quiet girl, much like Ivy except a bit quieter and her feminine clothing contrasted Ivy's light, down-to-earth style quite well.

"Grace!" Ivy called out, quickening her pace. Once in front of the girl she stopped and pulled her quickly into a hug. "I'm sorry I haven't called," she said, letting go of her friend and looking at her, "How have you be--" Ivy stopped when she got a good look at Grace, who was wincing. "Are you all right?"
