Personality

On the surface, Faen seems to be emotionless; only capable of committing cruel acts. He hardly emotes when he speaks unless enraged beyond control. When provoked in the right way, his dark charm unleashes to consume and corrupt.

But within, the man is convulsions and unease. Light and dark exist inside, constantly twisting him to one or the others influence. When alone, he broods and tries his best to fight back the light, something that he simply cannot understand so he fears it. Every day he is forced to shut out any warmth or positive energy. That is why he seeks with such intensity destruction and evil. His mastery of cunning and charm helps him in such pursuits.

History

Once, long ago, a champion of light named Jack defeated the Lord of Darkness to save his love, Princess Lily. But the Lord was not truly destroyed for there will always be darkness while there is light - it always exists to counterbalance light, until the two merge into one, transcending the bounds of duality. That is legend.

Essence of the darkness that fueled the Lord's heart manifested in the form of a babe, taken in by the goblins of Goblin City when it was thrown from the cosmos. In an environment ruled by bad, the child's soul was tempered into something twisted; all light that did exist in the youth was snuffed out, put to rest in a hidden place in his heart. Such a thing made the cruelty and hate inherited from the Father strong. Doted on by the goblins, he was named Faen Diavolos, diavolos a old word for devil. As he grew at a very accelerated pace, Faen expressed magical ability much beyond any goblin, possibly rivaling that of the Goblin King. The goblins who once loved him shunned Faen in fear of treason.

Magical Ability: Like in birth, Faen was again alone; none spoke to him, his heart dead due to being isolated. The child of darkness and light fled back to the cosmos from whence he came to mature and master all the power he held. During his self-imprisonment, Faen discovered his strength was superior. Also, he had the ability of Influence and Temptation, magic that allowed him to force weaker beings to bend to his will by manifesting their darker desires hidden in their heart. Other dark charms were at his disposal, centered around shadow. Two things he discovered scared Diavolos more than anything; if he let the darkness completely into his heart, he turned into a demon with no thought and that there was also light in him, something he despised with every fiber of his being. He had the ability to destroy shadow as well. He was torn between light and dark.

Note: Faen's powers are very weak, practically nonexistent, when he is exposed to sunlight. He relies on his rapier when he cannot rely on his magic.
