In Belrohn humans and monsters live side by side in perfect harmony. They work together to make life enjoyable for all. The sun rises off The Ocean each morning shedding a warm coat of light onto the country of Belrohn. As the light begins to rise it lights up the face of Max as he lay on the hill a little was away from his small but live-able home. On top of the hill rises a large willow tree and in the branches of the willow tree rests a small tree house. The tree house belongs to Max and his best friend Jacob. When they were kids it was their fort and base of operations. Max can almost always be found sleeping on the side of the hill.
A voice that seems to come from nothing speaks. "Max, what have I told you about sleeping in the open?"
Max smiles and keeps his eyes closed, "Oh Jacob, I heard you from a mile away. You are one very loud harpy."
Jacob looks at him, "Oh hush you."
Max opens his eyes and stands, "So how was the visit with the family?"
Jacob frowns, "It seems the Entrucian Kingdom is starting to attack the Monster Badlands. I think it's going to turn to war soon."
Max looks at him, "What do you think that means for us? We live in a village that has both monsters and humans alike."
Jacob shakes his head, "I don't know, but I hear that a ship is coming in soon. Want to go see all the new people that come to the city? I heard it stopped at a few places before this."
Max smiles, "Alright, let's go." They both take off towards the city. They rush to the port to watch all the new arrivals to their beautiful city.

After the long journey across the sea. Sven and Cross exit the ship thanking the captain for voyage on their ship. Svef puts his hood up and tries to keep his tail under his cape. "It's so warm here..." Sven says to Cross. Sven exhales and a bit of frost comes from his mouth. "I wish I would've known...I would've brought lighter clothes.." Looking towards the two men across the port watching the new arrivals " We need to head to the market to blend in with the locals" He turns towards Cross "Sounds good?"

He looks at the crowed of onlookers, wondering how wealthy this town is. His mentor ask him if its a good with him to head towards the market. "I have no problem with heading out that way. I might find something that peaks my interest or a fat coin pouch waiting to be snatched." He covers his head with his cloak and begins to walk with the rest of the crew. "Let's see what kind of trouble we get into this time." He blends through the crowed with Sven .
Jade gets off the ship with the family she traveled with and looks at the crowd. She sees a few people and turns away, following the family for a few more minutes, then hands them a money pouch and bids them farewell. She travels on her own, deciding to walk on her own and toys with her necklaces. She tells herself to not look back, yet she feels people watching her. She calmly keeps walking thinking on where to stay for the night.
As Sven and Cross walk to the Market. Sven notices a lot of people around and Sven whispers to Cross "Don't do anything to make us get noticed..Some of the people here may be pretty strong and I don't feel like bailing you out again" Sven chuckles to himself and He buys a shirt just like the one he wears just a short sleeve and he buys cloth that is a lighter but stronger fabric to make him a new hood/cape combo. Turns towards Cross "Are you going to get anything?"

He chuckles, "I think I found something." He walks through the crowd and bumps into a little girl with black hair and deep blue eyes. He knocks her over and goes to help her up."I'm so sorry I didn't mean to do that." As he helps her up he summons a shadowy hand that goes into her pouch and steals half of her money then fades into the darkness of her shadow. "My name is cross, and who might you be?" She is reluctant to speak and looks away. "Well okay, Are you here alone? Why are you in such a rush?"

Jade searches his face, battling herself to say anything. "My name is Jade. And yes, I'm alone. And I wasn't rushing." She brushes herself off and looks back up at him, letting her bangs fall in front of her eyes and points at someone watching them. "Is that your friend? He seems to be keeping his eyes on you."

Sven gives Cross a cold stare and walks up to him and the girl and says " Hurry with your apologies. We have to find a inn before night fall. I don't feel like dealing with the night life here" Sven's tail slightly shows but quickly hides away. Sven adjusts his belt and walks away expecting Cross to follow.

"Always the cold shoulder." He starts walking towards Sven. He turns back and says "stay safe this place is full of crooks." He winks and hurries off with Sven. "Well we don't have to pay for a room, she had quite the amount of money on her, and I don't think she noticed." They walk off into the nearest inn.

Jade calls after Cross, "Thanks, but I can take care of myself." She thinks to herself, "So that guy, Cross stole half of my money and his friend had a tail..." She quickly runs to a home and asks to stay there for the night, playing the role as a child who lost her family. They take her in and she sleeps for the night, then wakes early and takes any money and food she thinks is safe and ventures into the hills.

Sven and Cross make it to the inn and then he pays for two rooms using the girl's money and then the next day appears. Sven wakes up early and knocks on Cross's door. " Hey lazy bones wake up or I'll make you take a enternal nap" Sven continues banging on the door

He rolls over hitting the floor."yeah yeah here I come." He tosses his cloths on and grabs his weapons and walks out. "Why must you always wake me up so early?" Sven chuckles and frost escapes his mouth then he thanks the innkeeper and leaves out. "Why does he never slow down????" He goes chasing after Sven. "What's the plan for today?"
Max and Jacob watch as the people pour into the city from the boat. They watch in awe of the adventurers and warriors coming ashore. Jacob smiles at Max and speaks, "Well I think I'm going to head home. You should do the same, i know how much trouble you can get into when you're not careful." Then Jacob spreads his wings and flies off towards his house.
Max watches, "pffft, I can handle myself. Stupid bird, he thinks I'm still a child." Max shakes his head and goes into the city. He watches a girl get pushed over and sees a shadow appear and take money from her pouch. Then he sees another man approach and watches as a tail comes out of his cloak and then quickly back in. He smiles and follows them to the inn.
When they reach the inn Max makes a note of which inn it was and heads home, he returns early in the morning to see the men just leaving and approaches the men and taps the shoulder of the one wearing a cloak. "Excuse me, but I couldn't help but notice that you have a tail sir what kind of monster are you, and why do you wear a cloak? Are you cold or are you afraid people will reject you? We are in Kafalo, Belhron. Here humans and monsters live together in harmony. Plus we aren't under the banner of Entrucian or Chrimea so we take no sides in the war ongoing between the monster badlands and the Entrucian kingdom. You don't have to be afraid of us here."

Sven looks up to Max and his red eyes began to glow " I am no monster sort of speak and I am only half human..." Sven puts his hood down and his demonic horns grow up from the top of his head " I am half demon if you really wanted to know...I am afraid of no mortal here...It just I do not really like drawing attention to myself" Sven puts his hood back up and he exhales some frost "Now I do have some business to attend to" Sven nudges at Cross " Do you know if there is any bounty shops or wanted boards around here?" Sven says that looking towards Max " I figured you're a local because the fact you watch people come out of the boats"

Max responds, "But demons are so cool, even if they are only half demon. Also, Belhron is a free nation. The only bounty you would get is for petty crooks. Nothing that a demon would have trouble with. Although, I have heard news that the monsters might be starting a war with the Entrucian Kingdom. If you're looking for action, I'd say go to Entrucian." He smiles, completely carefree. "Oh, but if you are going, you may want to stop at the forges. Azanar makes the best equipment in all of Belhron. I can take you there if you'd like." He waits for reply hoping the demon will allow him to accompany them.

Jade decides to head back in the direction of the inn and market and spots Cross with his friend and someone else. She hesitates, wondering if she should continue over to them. She keeps walking and sees Cross. "Hi Cross." She wonders if she should say anything about his friend's tale or the fact that he stole money from her, but she decides not to. "I was going to Entrucian and wondered if anybody would like to accompany me." She looks at Cross and his friend, then at the other guy, looking him up and down, wondering to herself if she can trust him. "Anyone?"

"Oh hey um" He scratches his head trying to remember her name. "Rain was it? Um anyways I'm not sure I just go where the boss does. Im not much of a people person. Not to mention were merchs, What we do is to dangerous and don't want a little girl like u getting hurt. What's should we do boss?"

Jade scowls slightly. "Actually, it was Jade. And I'm not a little girl. If you really must know I'm eighteen and can handle myself. I was just asking a question and no offense to you or your 'boss', but you two might need me around. But if you think not, then that's fine too. But we are going in the same direction if you are going to the forges." She starts to walk off, waiting to hear anything from the others.

"I guess I can sharpen a couple of my blades" Sven smirked and looked towards Max " Are you gonna give us a tourist treat and happily pay for me and my partner here blades to be sharpened?" Sven looks toward Jade and says as frost comes from his mouth " Are you sure you want to go on a deadly adventure with a couple mercenaries who you never met before just to get a little coin in your pocket or at least gain some payback? " As they continue on walking to the forge.

Jade smirks slightly. "I can handle myself." She lightly messes with her necklaces as reassurance that they are still wrapped around her neck and looks at Max, then continues on walking to the forge, wondering if she should make any sudden moves, then decides not to. She makes up her mind that if she needs to, she can easily run from the group later on in the adventure if the need addresses itself. She continues to walk until they reach the forge, not making eye contact with the group or making any movement of her face.
Max sighs, "Great, just what I need. I don't have any money right now. I guess I could follow them, but I've always liked Chrimea better. That girl was pretty cute too." He shakes his head. "Jacob is gunna kill me when he finds out." He runs off towards them and goes inside the house beside the forges. He emerges moments later and smiles, looking at the crew he speaks, " Jurgen has agreed to sharpen everyone's weapons free of charge. He has likes Entrucian and feels that if you are fighting to save Entrucian then he will help in any way he can." He smiles, proud of himself. " He also promised me armor and a weapon since I've decided to join all of you.

After much time of sharpening 50 of Sven's throwing knifes, four of his hidden blades, and his demonic scythe. The crew finally left the forge after Sven thanked and said sorry to the blacksmith for having so much weapons. Sven says to Max " Is there any Military outposts ne'er by that we can take a look at? " Sven looks to Cross " Cross do me a favor and split up from us and take the higher post just in case there is any renegades trying to mess with any travelers" Then as they continue walking Sven stops to ask both Max and Jade " Which are you close combat or long distance fighters also do you have any abilities of healing that can be very important to know"

"Got it boss." He jumps onto the roof tops and looks ahead. During his survey he sees a wealthy lord treating his servants poorly. "Sven said don't do anything stupid, but I think he'll let this one slide." He dives behind the shadow of the lord, he proceeds to knocking him unconscious with one chop to the neck. He then frees the servants and grabs his money pouch. He then heads back onto the roof. He spends the money evenly and then has a shadow hand put it in each of his comrades pouches. He then continues his survey of the area. "I hope Sven doesn't get mad. No one saw me I think..."
