Description:
Equipment: A 'customised' UWP officer uniform, with the sleeves removed and the entire uniform red and black instead of the typical UWP colours. He keeps a pistol at his side, and is never seen without wearing sunglasses.
Mech Details/Other Special items: His primary mech is called the Rot Sieger--The Red Victor.
Armaments: The Rot Sieger's main weapon is its beam assault rifle, designation UWP-BAR-10. It is powered by a rechargeable power clip that allows for forty shots before it requires reloading. The initial problems with the experimental beam rifles, such as suddenly becoming inoperable, have been fully worked out for the beam assault rifle. For more destructive and explosive power, the Rot Sieger is now armed with a powerful beam cannon. Melee combat is where the Rot Sieger really shines, with its powerfulbeam saber. It allows for the high-speed attacks the Rot Sieger is capable of performing, as well as a huge amount of power. Similarly to its sibling the beam rifle, formerly the beam saber was very problematic and prone to loss of operation; those problems have been worked out and eliminated. Finally, mounted on its right arm is an experimental beam shield, which can deflect most projectiles and beam sabers.
History: Elrich von Richt was born in turbulent times: the UWP was slowly expanding into Europe, and Elrich's parents, a German officer in the local military and a Dutch maid in the House of the Royal German Family, were to be victims of those turbulent times. Elrich's early years were spent with the threat of the neighbouring UWP looming right around the corner, and the perceptive young boy quickly caught on. He often bragged to friends that he would bring down the UWP himself. Elrich was 17 when the UWP finally made its move with a blitz attack into the city of Munchen where Elrich's family lived, the seat of the Royal German Government; Elrich himself, having spent the past year or so learning how to use a mech, had participated in the defense of Munchen. The German forces, using outdated mechs in comparison to the UWP's advanced technology, was ruthlessly cut down. The fighting destroyed a good portion of Munchen, killed Elrich's parents, and scarred him across the right eye.
What happened next is little known to anyone. Elrich spent the next five years adopting and cementing a new identity: Vincent van Matteus. He fabricated various documents, and he took care to perfect the entire process; once he was finished, he applied to join the UWP's Mech Corps. The UWP had no inkling of Elrich's past or true heritage, completely fooled by the image of the mysterious, sunglass-wearing Dutch van Matteus, and he was sent to the UWP's academy in Hates. Once there, the entire school was shocked by Elrich's skill at the piloting, as they had no idea that he had piloted a combat mech previously; they called him a natural, a genius. He spent the next five years ostensibly fighting for the UWP, maintaining the outer image of the friendly but mysterious van Matteus. He never forgot his plan to avenge the destruction of Germany; a plan to destroy the UWPs military and civilian leadership, and gain his retribution. His name was gained at the same time he gained 'ace' status, for the speed in which he destroyed five enemy mechs.
