Personality
Serenity is a very sweet person considering her race and her stature. She doesn’t necessarily hate anyone or thing even though she should because it has practically been bred into her. Unlike the rest of her family she doesn’t believe that the races should be split or treated any differently, but by stating this to her father or older brother, that could get her killed. Normally she tries to put on a front that she is mean and strong willed like her family and race and she hates that she has to be that way. She will often go without blood as long as she can and will make herself sick. She would never admit it but she absolutely hates what she is and who she is. She has tried killing herself once of twice before, but the attempts were failed.

History
Serenity was the second born into the Royal family. She was raised to believe that no one outside her race was equal to her, she would never be allowed to marry outside her race, and that humans were slaves and they were to be treated with little to no respect. Even though she was raised with these rules and thoughts, she had her own thoughts and ideas, though she wasn’t exactly allowed to state them. She hated the fact that the races were split and how others were treated. She tried her best to change her father’s thinking, but that only got her into trouble and eventually she stopped trying, her father was already set in his ways and she cared about her family and loved them.

As she got older though she started depriving herself of blood so that she didn’t have to use the humans for the blood as often, sometimes even going until she was too weak to move. When she can she often treats the slaves and other races with kindness, once or twice she has even go as far as transferring her points to an Unmarked, though if anyone knew that she’d be killed. Something else no one knows is that she hates what she is and has attempted to kill herself before. Though t everyone she appears to be well put together and a very strong and beautiful vampire, but on the inside she fighting a war with herself everyday.

Serenity’s face was paler than normal, it was apparent she hadn’t feed off a human in some time and if her father saw her she be in a lot of trouble. The royal family was supposed to always look put together and well groomed, not look like they were on their death beds, even though they were already dead. Her pale blue eyes were almost white and her long raven colored hair was dry and stringing, yet somehow she still looked stunning, maybe that was the reason she was able to fool her family that she was feeding regularly.

“Princess?” her servants soft meek voice brought her from her thoughts. “are you alright?” she continued careful not to upset the royal.

Serenity took a breath as she sat at her old wooden desk writing in her journal with her quill. “Cori, how may times must I tell you, call me Serin please. You have been my servant for long enough.” She smiled to the young human girl who was only sixteen, she had been serving Serenity since her father had found her on abandoned on the street at twelve years old.

“I
I can’t, I’ll be killed.” She frowned gently.

Serenity sighed softly as the girl offered her wrist knowing she needed to feed, she was growing weaker by the second.

“No.” Serenity stated in a stern tone, though it was still kind.

“Please.” The girl begged in fear knowing she could get in trouble if it looked as though she wasn’t taking care of the oldest royal daughter.

“I promise you I will be fine.” She smiled as she touched the screen built into the desk, typing in a code that Cori had memorized by now but she’d never try and use it. The drawer of the desk popped open and Serenity grabbed her chrome MAKIE card handing it to the human girl. “Now, why don’t you go pick me up some more paints at that art store just outside of town.” She winked smiling to her. That was her way of telling Cori to go buy her and her sister whatever they needed.

Cori new better then to argue with the princess, they had been doing this for years now and it was the reason Cori and her sister Rosie weren’t in a rundown shack being raided by higher races every so often, Cori made her way out of the room to find her sister.

As soon as the girl was out of sight, Serenity started to cough heavily, her eyes were now completely white, this was a side effect of not feeding for quite some time, but Serenity had at least another few days before she’d have to succumb to her violent nature.

Serenity sat at her desk writing she never really had anything important to write down. Simple things, the way she felt, things she could never say to her kind. Her head pounded and her body felt weak as she coughed a bit more. A small tap on her door followed by the entrance of her father, the president. He was the oldest living vampire the last of his generation one of the first Vampires, yet he didn’t look a day over thirty and he was stronger than the rest of them. His mere strength and power was that of three of the strongest vampires put together.

“Serin, my dear you look terrible. Those two servants of yours will be punished for this.” He said in a calm and father like tone.

“No, it’s not their fault. It’s mine. I just haven’t been feeling well.” She quickly spoke up

Her father sighed, but snapped his fingers and a human came into the room. “Fetch a wine glass, only the best.” He spoke never even looking at the human. After a moment of silence the human returned.

Her father took out a razor blade and lightly slid it across his own wrist. Dark crimson blood began to emerge from it and let his own blood drain into the glass goblet. He turned his wrist over so his palm was facing him and Serenity watched as her father’s new wound became nonexistent. His blood is the only pure blood left, it can heal and is the only blood that other vampire can drink without dying.

She knew better then to argue with her father, she took the wine glass from him and drank it slowly, it burned down her throat, it was pure and raw, this was only the second time her father had done this for her. When his blood was drained by his own hand it weakened him, so he didn’t do this kind gesture often and when he did it was only for his kids or higher vampires. Within seconds her eyes returned to their beautiful blue color and her jet black hair shined, and her skin was beautifully pail. She gave her father a small smile and wait for her father’s reason behind doing this.

“You need to be looking healthy and beautiful for the meeting today. You and your brother both need to be looking presentable. I have an announcement to make this evening. Please do me a favor and find that brother of yours.” He said as he left the room.

Serenity felt better but for her father to do something like that the announcement had to be huge, She normally didn’t have to go to meeting, due to the fact that she wasn’t going to inherit the position of president, that would go to her older brother and she was okay with that, she loved Mason to death and she knew he would make a great president. She couldn’t figure out what the hell her father could want to announce and it was bothering her.

She sighed as she got up from her desk and got dressed. She needed to find Mason before this evening’s meeting. But, not before she snuck out for a bit to visit her favorite art shop. She wasn’t supposed to go out alone, because the Royal although very powerful were hunted of course most the time the hunters failed, but every once in a while they got lucky. Serin never worried much about getting killed, she kept to herself and made sure not to draw attention to herself, not many people knew her after all, she wasn’t exactly the face of the New World like her brother and father.

She grabbed a jacket making sure it covered her marks, before she snuck out of the royal housing and out on to the street. There were overhead ports that blocked the sun so that Vampires didn’t have to be constantly covered when they walked around, of course this was only in the Royal and Main Districts. She walked for a long time to the out skirts of the district, until she finally reached the art shop. She had gone unnoticed once again, she opened the door to the shop and headed inside.

Mason rose an eyebrow at Victoria as she twisted in her seat like a fidgeting child. She had seemed nervous to tell him, so it obviously must have not been good news. "You won't like this," Mason rolled his eyes, glaring slightly, "Go on." he urged, his voice sounded harsh but it had an undertone of caring and encouragement. Victoria took a deep breath to calm herself and then said what she had to say; "I borrowed your mackie card and now it's gone."

His face was expressionless for a second, a little stunned. He slowly reached into his pocket, reaching for this wallet. It was a primitive object but he liked the texture and idea of it. He opened it, revealing that his mackie card was in fact gone. Mason stood slowly, shoving his wallet into his back pocket. He paced slowly infront of Victoria, hands behind his back as he thought. After moments of silence he spoke, "So... What you are saying is that after all I have done for you, you are still not to be trusted. And that this is how you repay the people who have changed your miserable life around." Mason snarled, he certainly wasn't upset about having lost his mackie card, they weren't irreplaceable, but he hated being deceived, especially when he couldn't figure it out for himself. now he stood directly in front of her glaring, deep in thought, "You need to be punished but I'm just not sure how to do it." Mason rubbed his chin, swiftly turning away from her, he had never really ever thought of punishing his friends, he had no plan here, no preset guideline to follow. "Your blood privileges are revoked for a week." He nodded, silently hoping that it wouldn't be too long for her. Figuring she already knew he wanted to go easy on her, he allowed his lips to curve into a rare genuine smile. Mason's smile almost immediately turned back into a frown, "And If you ever do anything to deceive me again, then you're punishment will be a lot more than just a privilege taken away." He said threatenly.

Mason felt his phone buzz in his pocket, checking it to see a message from his father, he mumbled out loud as he read, "Mason... you and your sister... presentable... meeting... today. Hmm how odd, usually I'm told a little more in advanced." He shrugged, heading towards the door, "Come along Victoria, another part of your punishment is that you have to stay by my side. After all, traitors can't be trusted alone." that last part was said in a teasing voice, a smirk on his lips as he rolled up the sleeves of his dress shirt to show his marking. He turned to Victoria, nodding towards the door, his voice subtly more gentle, "Let get on our way shall we?"

----

Ethan smiled, content as he took down his finally finished painting. He put it up on the wall, standing back to admire his work. The painting featured the Main and Royal Districts, signs of mingling in the crowd. If one looked close enough, it was seen that all the races mingled with one another. Vampires showed their fangs in wide smiles, Wolves wagged a tail happily, Witches smile and have a mystical appearance to them. Humans and Mixed breeds were shown as well. His smile flicked back into a frown as the bell of the front door rang, signaling the entrance of another costumer. Ethan groaned, as much as he loved his job, his customers were mostly witches, and most the time the witches that came to his shop were absolute jerks.

But his nose caught the scent of the person, a scent that was certainly not that of a witch. The smell was familiar, that was for sure, but he couldn't make it out. Ethan hopped over the counter, landing a few feet from a girl. He could clearly make out the scent now, it was that of a vampire. "Excuse me miss, can I help you?" he questioned a little cautiously, not really needing a vampire to ransack the place. He added in, "A little far from home, aren't we?" his voice questioning.

Sarah slowly opened her eyes and sat up, rubbing them gently. She looked around, finding herself in the room, her room. The girl yawned, and got out of bed. Not caring to wash herself first, she always did that every couple of days, she dressed herself in a simple white dress. She took her MACKIE card to get herself some food, even though it wouldn't be much, it would be enough for her. Then she would go back to bed and sleep until the night would have come and she would be needed beside her master.

Getting down stairs, she opened the door and silently left. No one would have to really know she would be gone for less then an hour or so. Sarah walked down the street, mainly looking at where she stepped and not at everyone passing by. She had a small fear of looking at people, so she often looked down. She hurried herself along, wishing already to be back in her room again.

Entering a small shop, she got a chocolate bar and a bottle of water, payed for it, then left the little shop. Along the way she looked around the streets, then stopped before a small shop. She pushed the door open a little to see a human and a vampire, and slowly entered to watch the paintings, staying silent as she looked around, but not daring to look at the two others.

The bay sister’s made their way through the city as the rundown broken started to fade into the nicer well kept. They passed by the art store and Rosie’s eyes focused on a familiar vampire, her master.

“Cori look!” she said surprised she was alone “She’s going to get herself killed.” She looked to her sister.

Cori sighed softly “That’s her plan.” She frowned gently “She does this all the time, I’ve followed her before, she doesn’t care if hunters finder her.” She said softly looking from serenity to her sister. “We should get back.” She said calmly as they continued to walk.

---
Serenity looked to the werewolf who approached her, she could smell his blood and she could feel he though she was going to do something to his shop.

“Oh, I’m sorry, I just love your work.” She said softly “Yeah, I am pretty far.” She smiled “I can leave
I know my presence isn’t exactly good for business. I tend to scare off customers.” She frowned gently looking at him with her pale blue eyes.

She glanced to the door seeing another girl come in, before she looked back to the wolf almost waiting for an answer.

Emmy was just waking up, later then she usually woke up but she stayed up late last night working on a few spells trying to find one to get rid of the bloody curse that is upon her. She got up and got ready, getting dressed in a deep purple summer dress with brown sandals. She kept her hair down, letting it flow down past her shoulders with a slight curl to it. She left her apartment upstairs and walked the stairs downstairs to her small herbal shop. Her assistant was already there at the desk getting things ready for the day.

“Maria, darling can you open the shop I am going to go down to the art store, I want to get a new painting for the store. I hate how the walls are so bare”

“Yes Ms. Emmy I will open the store for you” the young girl smiled to her, Maria was the only person she really knew in the area. Emmy hired her just a week before when she first got to town, the girl was at first nervous to be around Emmy. Emmy’s name has been spoken around the area, she was a known black magic witch but no one in this town actually knew she was the Emerson Nolson. She doesn’t want everyone to know that because she feels it will be bad for business so she just tells everyone her name is Emmy. If the Vampires found out she was here she knew they would have already been at the door. For the things Emmy could do to people, well she is known to be extremely dangerous.

Emmy left the store, her steps where quick but quiet as she walked down the street to the art store. As she got closer to the store she noticed two girls up ahead, her eyes gazed the two girls before she open the art stores door and quietly walked in.

“
off customers.” she heard a woman say to a man as she entered, her eyes gazed at the woman, noticing the off color of the woman’s skin she could tell that this woman was a vampire. She went off to the side and started looking at the different art when she noticed another girl with blonde hair, her back to Emmy, she noticed the human mark she grinned a little. Taking a few steps near the girl, her steps where quiet as she got close enough to whisper in the girls ear.

“What is a pretty ‘human’ girl doing alone around here” she whispered, her voice was cold and when she said human it had a slightly different tone to it. Backing up a little she waited to hear what the human girl would say.
