Nicknames
"Most just call me Haru for short, unless I've got a beef with 'em. Then they can call me the Red Death..."

Role
Hanged Man

If Itex, blurb?
A rather sarcastic and blunt young man who was once leader of a infamous motorcycle gang, the Plague Riders. Known among the underground as the 'Red Death', those who cross him tend to meet rather unfortunate and bloody ends.

Which Masks do they possess?
Hanged Man's Trump

Age
24

Gender
Male

Physical Description
Upon first sight, the first thing one might notice about Haru are his bright green eyes. No matter what his facial expression, they always seem to glow with a malicious condescension. His short, reddish-brown hair is almost always kept unruly, simply because Haru doesn't brush it very often. He can most often be seen with a smirk on his face, as if he were constantly making fun of the world to himself.
Surprisingly, Haru is rather short to his chagrin. However, despite his slender-looking build he's actually pretty muscular, due to constantly getting into fights. He has a tan complexion, being the color of caramel. He has a tattoo of an eyedrop under his left eye, and one on his neck just under his chin. He also has a tattoo of a tribal pattern around his neck.
While Haru prefers loose clothing because they're easier to fight in, he usually wears a tight jacket and tight jeans for when he rides his motorcycle (which is quite often). However, he will usually wear a loose shirt underneath. He always wears his motorcycle gloves, simply out of habit. As for shoes, he prefers boots no matter what style they come.

Personality
Sarcastic, spiteful, and downright rude to the core, Haru isn't afraid to be blunt and speak his mind around others. To put it simply, he just doesn't care. A very independent and observant person, he has no trouble walking to the beat of his own drum, even if that 'drum' is terrorizing the streets. One thing about Haru is that he is nearly neurotic when it comes to money. If someone owes him money...watch out. He'll find you, and he will kill you. Probably. If you don't pay him, that is. That said, he isn't as greedy as one might think him to be. He simply hates being poor, and loves being able to live decently. Well, as decently as a gang leader could live, anyway.
"You there! Stop slacking off!" Despite his sardonic and malicious personality, Haru is actually a workaholic in his own way. When he's got a job to do, he simply can't rest until it's done. He also doesn't like to see people slacking off when he's given them something to do. Like a bright flame, he can't rest for too long lest he burn out. He can be impatient and hot-headed at times, and won't hesitate to yell at people.
"Disgusting. How's that 'sposed to help ya?" One thing that separates Haru from other street rats is that he absolutely abhors the use of drugs. He'll make it and sell it, but he refuses to take it. He also forbids any of the Plague riders from using drugs, on account that it makes them 'absolutely useless and pitiful'.
"Listen up! We're a family. Ya got that, ye idiots?" Although he's quite gruff, Haru is actually very loyal to his friends. Although he was a gang leader, he does have a sense of honor and isn't the type to let his friends take the fall for something he did. That being said, he has no trouble pinning crimes on people he doesn't know or like. Depending on ones perspective he can either be very courageous or very stupid.

Skill(s)/Abilities
  • "Whaddya mean I need a license?": Haru is somewhat of an expert when it comes to driving a motorcycle. He is also proficient with cars, although trucks and big rigs are a bit out of his reach.
  • "Trust me, I'll find ya, and I'll be collectin'.": In Haru's experience as a gang leader, he's come to know every street, road, and back alleyway there is in Throme. If there's somewhere he needs to go, there's a good chance he knows how to get there. It's also great for hiding from cops.
  • "OPPAN SEXY STYLE! What? Is that not a good name for this?": Having gotten into quite a few fights in his time, Haru has basic hand-to-hand and weapons combat training. Although, one can't be too sure if alleyway brawling could really be called 'training'.
  • "Well, hey there. What're you doin' out here so late?": Despite his sardonic personality, Haru can actually be pretty charismatic.

History
Do I really have ta tell ye my whole life story? I think it's unnecessary."
Even Throme, a place that seems the very epitome of peace and easy living, has it's darker, poorer side of town. Such is where Haru was raised, born to a loving and caring mother who seemed to always get the short stick in life. His father was a no good drug dealer/addict who seemed to constantly beat on Haru's poor mother (hence his grudge against using said drugs). His mother would go to great lengths to disguise the beatings from Haru, just so that he would grow up in relative peace and happiness.

And, surprisingly enough, he did. This was thanks to his father often being gone for varying periods of time. Time went on, and soon enough Haru was in high school. Now, while Haru could care less about making good grades, he was absolutely hated being called stupid for not knowing something. Not only that, but he tended to get bullied for it, believe it or not. And so, for his own sake, he studied hard and learned everything he could. In addition, he fought back against his bullies and defeated them (if you can call sending them to the hospital defeating them). Because of this, he was labeled a punk, a troublemaker, and a delinquent. Which, of course, he still is.

Thanks to Haru's hard work, somehow keeping good grades despite the fact he never did homework, he was going to graduate. Was. A month before the expected ceremony, tragedy finally struck. One day, Haru came home from school to find that his drugged-up, hallucinative father had killed his mother, finally having gone too far with his beatings. Harumitsu was devastated, torn, and enraged at his father's actions.

Enraged enough to torture and kill a man. He wanted revenge for her, and he didn't care if he had to move heaven and hell to get it. So, he gathered a few of his troublemaker, delinquent friends, and went back to his house. There, he exacted his revenge, taking care to make sure his father felt the same pain his mother did before her untimely death.

And so, after that day, Haru dropped out of school a little less than a month before he had been due to graduate. With that same group of friends, the Plague Riders were born, and they began to roam the streets night and day. To commemorate his....removal of his father and as a sign of respect for his mother, he got a tattoo of a teardrop just below his left eye. As time went on, he gained new tattoos and became more and more infamous as the 'Red Death'. Two short years passed this way, although the Plague Rider's infamy seemed to grow by the day.

"Where'd I get this nifty mask, you ask? Use your imagination, will ya?"
He says this, but in actuality he stole it.....four years ago, when he was twenty. However, he has not had the mask in his possession during that time. He had gotten caught, and was sent to prison for it. Luckily, he had been able to hide the mask before getting caught, and as such it had never been recovered by the police. Why only four years of prison for trying to steal such a valuable item, one might ask? Well, it turns out Itex was looking for the very same mask Haru had stolen, and as such had tracked him down to where he was being held. And so, they made a deal. In exchange for arranging Haru's early release, he would work for Itex underground. In addition, he would confirm that he was in possession of the mask, although he was allowed to keep it for his work.

Because their leader was sent to prison, the Plague Riders are currently disbanded. (I will edit this as the RP goes on and explain how the mask got stolen in the first place.)

"Oh, him? Great with money, that one. I've known him for a while, so he's almost like a brother. Don't tell him that, or I'll kill you."

Harumitsu Rakugaki/Hanged Man's Trump

"Yer not goin' ta 'cause me much trouble, are ya? I really don' feel like kickin' yer sorry ass. I've got shit to do, 'n yer kinda in my way." Haru leaned against the wall of a backstreet alleyway, feigning a yawn. "So why don't we jus' drop this whole shenanigans?"

"Why you little...! You think you're cute, don'tcha?" A group of guys surrounded him menacingly, one of them right in Haru's face. "You're just the fallen leader of a piece-of-shit club. We're members of the Silver Fangs! You'll regret comin' over to our turf..."

At this, Haru stopped his fake yawn, suddenly glaring intensely at the man who had spoken. Then, he got off the wall to get closer to the man's face. "You guys? Yer all part 'o the Silver Fangs or whatever?" He pointed past the guy, waving his finger around to indicate all of them. Then, he began to laugh. He laughed and laughed, until suddenly the man went to punch him in his gut. Without missing a beat, Haru knocked the man's arm away and delivered a punch of his own. He punched him so hard he went down like a sack of rocks.

"I'll get back ta that in jus' a sec. Now, what were ya sayin' 'bout my little club?" As he spoke, he rushed the other supposed gang members. One by one, he took them out, making quick work of them. "A piece 'o shit, ya say? No good, ya say? That ain't nice, you know...." He hissed as he beat them up mercilessly, breaking bones here and there. Soon enough, they were all sprawled on the ground, incapacitated. "Silver Fangs." He scoffed, "Don't make me laugh. If you guys were really part 'o that group, ya woulda known better than ta corner a former gang leader. Wannabe fuckfaces." He scoffed once more as he stepped over their bodies, making his way out of the alleyway.

As he entered the street, he looked at his watch, then looked up at the sky. Blast it. Now I don't have time to go to the bar on my way home, much less change out of these ridiculously wet clothes. He began to walk down the street, until something caught his eye.

It was a motorcycle, complete with a helmet, leaning next to the entrance of the alleyway. Curiosity instantly piked, Haru walked over to it. Well, well, well. Lookie what I found. Finder's keepers, losers weepers! He walked back into the alleyway, then exited once again, smirking wickedly as his jingled a set of keys in one hand. Then, he turned back to the motorcycle and got on it, putting the key into the ignition and turning it on as he did so. Finally, he took the helmet and put it on, strapping it tight. Normally, he wouldn't have bothered with it, but the rain would have made it hard to see.

Without any further ado, Haru took off. As always, he completely ignored the speed limit, and soon made it to his place in what seemed like no time at all. Currently he lived in an old, run-down, abandoned house in what looked like the middle of nowhere- he simply couldn't afford anything better at the moment. He sure as hell didn't like it, but he had only recently gotten out of jail so there wasn't much he could do about it.

"Home sweet home, eh? Ha." He muttered to himself as the bike came to a stop inside of the garage. The door to it was broken, so the garage was doomed to stay open forever. Haru didn't really care, although he made sure to park the bike in the darkest part of it so as not to tempt thieves. Not that there would really be too many out in such a place, but he didn't feel like taking chances with it. Once he was done, he left the bike and went inside the house.

The door in the garage led to the kitchen, which opened up to the living room and the bedrooms. The house itself was pretty empty, save for a cheap couch in the living room. It was a meager living at best. Haru knew he could have asked for a couple of favors among the former members of the Plague Riders, but he simply wasn't that type of person. He hated asking people for money, and it was something he would rather die than do.

He immediately made his way to his room. It was a very simple room- just a bed, a dresser, and a computer that a sat on a computer desk. Without even bothering to change his clothes, he sat down at the computer desk.

"Time to play my trump card...."

A mask appeared in Haru's hand. It was a bit small and a silver-blue in color. Gold highlighted where the eyes where, and intricate gold lining decorated the mask. It was a pretty thing, something Haru didn't much care for. He put the mask on.

"Information is power."

Haru felt the mask sink into him as if it were becoming part of him. His hair turned black with blue highlights, and his emerald green eyes turned to that of sapphire blue. An auxiliary wire formed at the base of his neck, a direct connection to his brain. His once constantly smirking expression turned blank- an expression completely devoid of emotion.

Hanged Man, the technological mask that specializes in the collection and usage of data. He opened his eyes, looking to the computer in front of him, and immediately got to work. It took him no time at all to bypass both the first and the second passwords, as he simply logged into the chatroom as he usually did. It was practically second nature for him to hack his way through; things like passwords and firewalls were little more than mere annoyances.

"Hanged Man, reporting for duty. Chatroom security has been updated. Standing by." His voice, although pleasant to hear, was flat and monotone.
