Setting
Address: 129 Bain Avenue, Etervell District, Throme
Height: 27 m
Current tenant: Throme Assembly
Current mayor: Aline Cosette
Background:
Built just four years ago, the City Hall is now the seat of government. Before its construction, the Throme Assembly met across the street in what is now Sagaro Mall. Due to increasing fears that the structure was unsound due to a problem with termites, they decided to demolish the building and start anew five years back. The project, designed by renowned British architect Jenna Tainwright, cost approximately 53 million argen and took eleven months to complete. It is now heralded as one of the most famous buildings in the world.
Design:
Designed to reflect the urban mix that makes up Throme, the City Hall is equal parts imposing and chic. White marble walls and a wide expanse of beautifully landscaped gardens are offset by the relatively simple interior. However, this sparseness only highlights the innate elegance of the building. Cherry wood paneling and various paintings from local artists make every room an artistic wonder. The Papillon Room in the East Wing is being currently used as mayor Aline Cosette's office, but visitors are free to stop by what is arguably the most beautiful room in the entire building.
Current Events:
In just two weeks, representatives from nations all over the world are to gather here in order to discuss matters of international importance - a conference between the nations. Due to its magnificent appearance, it is also a popular venue for wedding ceremonies and city-wide celebrations.
