King Caspian Greymane's Story

Liam fell asleep in the carrige. When he woke up he was at the castle being shaken awake by his father. He followed his father into the castle along with his brother. He still had no idea why he was here. He examined the caslte as they walked up the walk way. It was bigger than the one at him. he liked his castle. It was just the right size. Not so big you got lost but not so small that it was crowdid. He decided he would only go where he had to go then he would stay in his room until it was time to leave. He didnt feel like getting lost in thsi big palace. He might venture to the places close to his room but not to far. He hoped that there was a library near his room so he could read while he was doing nothing. He sighed and when he was shown to his room he was somewhat happy when he found out he was sharing it wiht his brother. He was upset that his father had a connected room. he didn't much care to hear his fathers sleeping habits. He sat down on the bed and the servants brought in hsi stuff. He looked at the last one. A small male. "Do you have a library." The boy nodded. "Is it close to this room?" The boy neded again. Liam waited. "Well are you going too take me there?" He asked. He got this from his father. He always acted this way in front of hsi father because he would get hit if he didn't. The boy noded and seemed to stutter a yes. He exited the room and Liam followed. Out in the hall when it was just them he couldn't get his words out fast enough. "I am so sorry i am not usually that way its jut my fath-" The boy cut him off. "I know I have heard stories of you kingdom. I am sorry to you." The boy told him.

As Alexander sat down on his newly found bed in the castle at Taroge he knew something big was going to happen, and soon. It was not long after having this thought that his farther walked into the room. "It's an embarrassment. This room, the Pretiges can afford whatever they want and they expect us to stay in this dump! Bed's lined with the finest wood." His Farther yelled angrily. He than sat down beside Alex, this made him know that that 'something' was going to come now. "I have some good news for you and your brother. I'll tell him later. You are to be married in a few days. Her name is Amoranta LaFaevre and she is the crowned Princess of Mivorina. Think, you could be a King." Alex shook his head as his Farther spoke to him.

"I'm already in line for your throne!" He yelled as he jumped of the bed and over to the large window on the other end of the room. "Son, your third in line that means it's not likely that you will ever get to the throne." Caspian then grabbed Alex's head and turned it harshly towards him. "There are people out there who the Greymanes dead. If you marry into the LaFaevres then we can focus on crushing those people!" His farther spoke angrily but Alex listened to every word. Alex watched as his farther let go off him then left the room to go to his own quarters.

Alex followed him shortly after out of the door but went the other way towards the entry hall they had passed earlier. The castle was very well decorated by furniture lined with gold and marble statues. This was a big change from the familiar hallways of Brydise, in stead of gold they had steel and in place of the statues they had old tattered flags hanging from the ceilings. As he walked down the large staircase he wondered if Amoranta was already at the castle. Alex sat down on the bottom step of the staircase, a action that would not usually be seen by a Prince. He sat there and waited to see if his future wife entered, not that he would recognise her.

Liam did as his father said. He stopped before entering the dinning room though. "Why are we here father?" He asked him demanding the truth. He didn't want to beat around the bush anymore. He was always told it was important king business. "I am second in line for the throne. Why is Caspian not here if its king business?" He questioned him again. He really wanted to know. He took a look in the dinning hall and saw multiple princes and princesses. What was this about. He noted the black wolf walking around two of the princesses guarding them protectively. He was curious when he saw that a girl was to take her kitten out of the room. What harm was a kitten compared to a wolf? He wondered. He looked his father in the eyes searching for an answer.



Scarny turned to the maid that took the kitten. "Return this girl her protector. Scar is allowed here so is that kitten." She turned to the girl again once the maid went to retrieve the kitten. "We have an ancient belief that if you have a pet and they are calm as your kitten was then they are your protector from above. As for this arranged marriage. My sister and I will no-" She stopped mid sentence she saw her father in the distance. She sighed. "I hate it but Scar will protect us no matter what. If something is wrong the other will know through him. He was trained to travel from castle to castle. He never got put in the program though." She pet the wolf making him calm and sit between her sister and her.

Caspian grabbed Liam by the arm and pulled him to one side. "You son are going to be married. She is Called Isabella Fard and she is a young princess. Alexander is also getting married. Your Caspian is already married so he doesn't need to be here, anyway he's busy with the army." Caspian told the boy making it clear there was no other option. "Now come." Caspian patted Liam on the back after talking before he left him. He walked into the dinner hall and was told to sit in between where his two sons were to sit. When he got to his chair he made a point of taking his sheathed sword of and placing it on the back of the velvet covered chair before sitting down.

Liam followed his father. He couldn't do much else he was in shock. He looked at Alex. Giving him a look of questioning about which one was which. He looked over as a man cleared his throat and walked in the room. He had seen paintings of him. He is the current king of Taroge. He whispered to his father. "There is your person to complain to, King Pretige."


Scarny watched as her father walked in the room and cleared his throat. "First I would like to welcome you to our castle." He started blabbering on and she wasn't paying attention. She heard the words Seating, Arraignment, and Maids. She snapped back into attention when she heard a maid say her name. They where changing seats to be seated next to there beweded. She sighed and saw where she was told. The other side of the table from her sister.

Alex's Farther slapped him on the back then gestured for him to move over towards a girl. It was the girl he was speaking to before. Was she to be his wife? He walked over to her not wanting to cause a scene in front of all these people. As he stood beside her he gave her a pleasant nod before speaking. "Hello, nice to meat you. I am Alexander Greymane, of Milton." He then sat down by the girl and looked at her name tag to confirm that he wasn't imagining it. Amoranta LeFaevre, his bride to be. "I'm sorry that I was chosen to marry you. I know no one wants to marry a Greymane." Alex spoke in a cruel voice that wasn't usual for him. But the current situation wasn't really usual for him either.

"But I can and I expect you to stay out of my affairs. I do not need you to rule for me." Alexander grabbed his glass and squeezed it tightly in frustration. He may not like to say so but Alex was like his Farther in some ways, he was still easily angered. "You can just sit and relax and watch." After hearing this comment Alex stood up and bashed the table with his newly clenched fist. "I am not here to take orders from you!" His anger was aimed at two people in the room, one was the Princess and the other his Farther that had been watching him for a while now. Alex watched as he nodded for him to sit down and he once again followed orders. He did sit down but he also had no intention on taking any more crap from Amoranta.

Alex's attention had now turned to the red-haired woman who had entered the room. Presumably the queen of this rotten kingdom. "Ladies and Gentlemen I would like to introduce myself, my name is Queen Jacinta of this fair kingdom your in today and I would like to greet you all and send my regards." "We don't need your regards." He whispered to himself for no reason other than showing his disrespect. "Also make sure you meet my two beautiful daughters, Scarny and Areena." More typical boasting done by a ruler who had kept so much away from Alex's family without even noticing because they already had more than what they needed for themselves. It was fair to say that Alex's mood had dramaticly changed but when someone tells you to but out of there business and just watch, it does.
